SUMMARY:Galatians 1:4
DESCRIPTION:Galatians 1:4 Grace and peace have their reference in the fact that Jesus gave himself as the scapegoat for our sins and plucked us out from the evil of this present religious age that encroached on us. This was exactly what the Father had planned in His love for mankind. (TMB) \nAre you walking in the liberty Christ died for? \nThis warfare requires you to know Jesus died for your sins. Jesus died because it was the will of God\, your Father. His death made it possible for you to be delivered from all the evil the world offers. Now walk in grace and peace. You are aware when you disobey God; you should be. However\, it is important not to allow every time you miss the mark to be the only thing you think about. If you become overly sin-conscious\, your thoughts will condemn you because you are continually passing judgement on yourself.   \nRomans 8:1-2 Therefore\, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus\, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh\, but after the dictates of the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death. (AMPC) \nAlso\, constantly focusing on your wrongs means you believe satan’s activity in your life is more effective than what Jesus did on the cross. This is not true! Live free from condemnation\, yours and anyone else’s.  \n\nBy faith\, Jesus’ victory on the cross freed you from the penalty of sin.\n\nJohn 8:34\, 36 “I speak eternal truth\,” Jesus said. “When you sin you are not free. You’ve become a slave in bondage to your sin. 36 So if the Son sets you free from sin\, then become a true son and be unquestionably free! (TPT) \n\nJesus’ victory on the cross freed you from the power of sin in your life.\n\nRomans 6:14 For sin shall have no power over you\, inasmuch as ye are not under the law\, but under grace. (WNT) \n\nJesus’ victory on the cross freed you from the law. The law’s job is to expose sin\, not forgive it.\n\nRomans 3:20-22 For no person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. For through the Law we become conscious of sin [and the recognition of sin directs us toward repentance\, but provides no remedy for sin]. (AMP) \n\nJesus’ victory on the cross freed you to live your life as you choose.\n\n1 Corinthians 6:12 It’s true that our freedom allows us to do anything\, but that doesn’t mean that everything we do is good for us. I’m free to do as I choose\, but I choose to never be enslaved to anything. (TPT) \nWalk in the liberty Jesus died for. This does not mean you should make provision for your flesh and allow sin to abound. It does not mean that your liberty tramples your call to love as Jesus loved. It means you are free to live\, even if you make mistakes. Accepting this truth should bring you a greater sense of liberty. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for my freedom. I don’t have to live a life that’s tormented by my past\, before You saved me. I don’t have to be distressed by my present mistakes. Thank You for reminding me of the victory Jesus bought with His death and through His resurrection. I can walk free from condemnation. Though I know sin exists in my life\, help me not to focus on it all the time. I also don’t want to get so callous that sinning won’t bother me. I know it is a balance that only You and the work of the Holy Spirit can make sure I keep. Please help me walk in true repentance when I sin\, knowing You forgive me\, and I am free to move forward in You. I can stand in the name of Jesus and hold my head high… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
