SUMMARY:Timothy 4:8
DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness\, which the Lord\, the righteous judge\, shall give me at that day: and not to me only\, but unto all them also that love his appearing. (KJV) \n Are you excited about your crown? \nYou go to work every day because on payday you want to get paid. You look forward to retirement\, when you won’t have to work\, and you will still receive pay. You probably took the job based on the benefits attached to it\, salary being a very important aspect. You also get excited that the longer you are an employee\, the more you make. What happens when there is an issue with the company you work for? They could ask you to take a pay cut. They could lay you off. You could end up not getting the retirement you worked for. If you see your position with the Lord accurately\, you work for Him. \n1 Corinthians 3:9a For we are fellow workmen (joint promoters\, laborers together) with and for God; (AMPC) \nIf you continue to work diligently\, serving the Lord\, no matter what you have to endure\, the benefits and the reward will never change. You never have to worry about an issue with the company. He will never lay you off. Isn’t it a blessing to know the God you serve will do what He has promised? \nHebrews 10:23 So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it\, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. (AMPC) \nIsn’t it also a great blessing that the Father does not base your benefit on the time you have been on the job? Read the parable of the landowner in Matthew 20:1-16. Also\, read the discussion Jesus had with the criminals as He hung on the cross in Luke 23:39-43. The Father has reserved a crown for you and for all those who remain in the faith as you wait for Jesus’ return. \nJames 1:12 Blessed [happy\, spiritually prosperous\, favored by God] is the man who is steadfast under trial and perseveres when tempted; for when he has passed the test and been approved\, he will receive the [victor’s] crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. (AMP) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I did nothing to earn my salvation. It is because of what You did for me\, and I thank You. I repent for the times I took it for granted. You have promised I will be with You in glory. And if that was not enough\, if I am a faithful servant\, I can expect to wear a crown. It does not matter what title I have or don’t have. It does not matter how long or tough the road I have to travel. It does not matter what position I hold. It does not matter if I have to walk alone. It does not matter how many mistakes I made. What matters in my faithfulness to stay the course. You give the race to the one who endures to the end. I must continue to look\, with expectancy\, for Your return with my hope based on You. I know it is only because of Your grace I can remain\, and I thank You for it… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \n

SUMMARY:Titus 2:13
DESCRIPTION:Titus 2:13 Everyone must welcome with open arms the outrageously blessed expectation; Jesus is what the world was waiting for! He radiates the brilliant intent of God\, engineered by his greatness to rescue the world in him. (TMB) \nDo you have an anticipation of Christ’s return? \nThe early church faced constant persecution\, and life for a Christian under Roman rule was difficult. The Romans looked upon Christians as traitors\, persecuted them\, and put them to death. Even though they lived under those adverse conditions\, the hope of the coming of the Lord lifted the believers’ morale. “Maranatha!” became the common greeting of the oppressed believers\, replacing the Jewish greeting shalom. You are not being persecuted like they were then. Still\, you should always look in anticipation and excitement for the return of Jesus.  \nTitus 2:13 Watch for His return; expect the blessed hope we all will share when our great God and Savior\, Jesus the Anointed\, appears again. (TVT) \nWhen Jesus returns\, you can live with Him in heaven. Eternity in heaven is the foundation of your hope. Until that time\, while you are still on earth\, you show the world who Jesus is through the life you live. \nColossians 1:27 Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ\, embedded within us\, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people\, and God wants everyone to know it! (TPT) \nYour life should bring others the hope of glory. You should stop to think about Jesus’ return from time to time. \n1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout\, with the voice of the archangel\, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds\, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (KJV) \nIf you don’t stop to think about Jesus’ return\, the importance of it\, the amazing manifestation\, and all of its majesty\, won’t seem real and you will lose hope.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for reminding me I should look with anticipation for Jesus’ return. I repent for not thinking about it more often\, which diminishes the reality. I need to reflect on that great day. In doing so\, I am continually enriched\, inspired\, and excited. It is my heart’s desire\, Heavenly Father\, to live a life that celebrates my hope. I pray the eyes of my understanding would continue to be enlightened\, and my relationship with You would cause me to be transformed into Your image more and more every day. Please help me in these last days\, to be always ready\, ever vigilant\, counted worthy\, and always watching for the glorious return of my Lord and Savior\, Jesus Christ\, in Whose Name I pray. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and keeping power\, Abba-Father… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \n

SUMMARY:Philippians 4:1
DESCRIPTION:Philippians 4:1 Therefore\, my dear brothers and sisters\, stay true to the Lord. I love you and long to see you\, dear friends\, for you are my joy and the crown I receive for my work. (NLT) \nDo you take the time to celebrate those you are mentoring?  \nSometimes\, though you may not want to admit it\, you want to get a pat on your back from your boss\, teacher\, mentor\, etc. As an adult\, the certificate you get for completing your orientation becomes something you put in a frame on your wall. It has absolutely no monetary value\, though you are still proud of it. As you train\, mentor and encourage others\, don’t forget to tell them how grateful to God you are because of them. They help you complete your assignment. When they progress and mature in the things of God\, take the same posture Paul took.  \nPhilippians 1:3-5 Whenever you cross my mind\, I thank my God for you and for the gift of knowing you. 4 My spirit is lightened with joy whenever I pray for you (and I do constantly) 5 because you have partnered with me to spread the gospel since the first day I preached to you. (TVT) \nThose you mentor should be a source of joy to you because of their faith and affection towards the Lord. They add to the stars on your crown of honor in the day you give an account of the work you have done. How do you know when you have progressed in your training? When the thoughts about the people whose lives you have touched\, bring you joy and when you see those you have touched are touching the lives of others. \n2 Timothy 2:2 You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. (NLT) \nBecause you love them\, take the time to tell them; it will help in their growth as well as yours. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for those You have placed in my life for me to mentor. I repent for treating it as a job sometimes. I also thank You for reminding me I must speak with love\, speak life\, and give truth with grace. Mostly\, I am thankful for Your reminder that mentoring is not all I need to do. It is my responsibility to tell them how much I love them; how much I appreciate them; how much I am encouraged by them; how grateful I am that they listen to what You give me to say; and how grateful I am that they are staying in the faith. They received the words You placed in me for them. They believe You sent me. They are the stars in my crown\, and I thank You\, Father… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and jour

SUMMARY:John 2:25
DESCRIPTION:1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us\, even eternal life. (KJV) \nDo you believe God’s promise? \nWhat is a promise? \n\nA promise is a commitment by someone.\nAs a noun\, a promise is a declaration assuring that one will or will not do something. \nAs a verb\, it means to commit oneself by a guarantee to do or give.\nA capacity for good\, similar to a value that is to be realized in the near future. \n\nAs a child\, you quickly accepted a promise as unshakable and true; as you got older\, sometimes the concept of a promise waned. As an adult\, because of life experiences\, you may have become even less likely to believe promises. How often does your reason for trusting have to be challenged before you don’t trust anymore? How many times do your expectations have to go unmet? When you reach your limit\, you might replace your ability to believe in some future activity with what you may refer to as “common sense” and “pragmatism”. Therefore\, what do you do with the promises God has made? Here are just a few of them for you to think about. \nIsaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear [anything]\, for I am with you; Do not be afraid\, for I am your God. I will strengthen you\, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice\, of power\, of victory\, of salvation].’ (AMP) \nMatthew 11:28-29 Come to Me\, all you who labor and are heavy laden\, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me\, for I am gentle and lowly in heart\, and you will find rest for your souls. (NKJV) \nDeuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous\, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them\, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you.” (AMP) \nHebrews 13:5 Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have\, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you\, “I will never leave you\, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” (The Passion Translation) \nDon’t allow your experiences with human beings to dictate your trust in the promises of God. The quality of your life depends on whether you really believe them or not. \n2 Corinthians 1:20 For as many as are the promises of God\, in Christ they are [all answered] “Yes.” So through Him we say our “Amen” to the glory of God. (Amplified Bible) \nIt is not enough to say you believe because you are a Christian. If you believe God’s promises\, then you have hope\, expectation\, and excitement. If you do not\, you function from a place of cynicism\, pessimism\, and depression. You chose how you will live your life based on your belief in God’s promises. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I’ve made promises I did not keep\, and I have had promises made to me that were not kept. I celebrate You because You are the Promise Keeper. I’m grateful You are not a man; You don’t lie. I don’t have to worry if You will forget\, or get sidetracked. I have no doubt You will fulfill all the promises You made. I have hope and it gives me joy. I repent when I get heavy and feel discouraged because someone did not keep a promise made to me. Thank You for Your word. It comforts and assures me You love me\, have a plan for my life and You will take care of what I need. I bless You! The promise for me to be with You in glory is yes\, and it is so. I thank You for every promise and I hold on to them every day of my life… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Lamentations 3:25
DESCRIPTION:Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him\, to the soul that seeketh him. (KJV) \nAre you able to celebrate God in tough times? \nIn church\, the Pastor says\, “God is good all the time”. Then the congregation responds\, “And all the time God is good.” Christian use this phrase across denominational lines. We have used it which such regularity\, it just rolls off the tongue with little thought. If you stop\, while you are dealing with some hardship\, trial or personal issue\, do you still say with joy “And all the time God is good.” Jeremiah\, the prophet that is attributed from writing Lamentations\, wrote almost an entire book of the bible as a passionate expression of grief and sorrow. He filled it with poems about how sad he was about the current state of Israel. In the middle of his tears\, he took time to reflect on the fact that no matter how bad things were\, they could be worse. The world would say he had an epiphany. I believe it was a rhema word from the Lord\, a revelation. God is good to those who wait.  \nIsaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run\, and not be weary; and they shall walk\, and not faint. (KJV) \nPsalms 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage\, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait\, I say\, on the Lord. (KJV) \nNot only did Jeremiah get the revelation on the blessings of waiting\, Isaiah and David did as well. Hopefully\, you will get it too. Don’t jump ship in the hard times. Don’t throw in the towel and get a new god. Look for God’s blessings at all times\, especially when it seems like He is not blessing you; or He is not answering your prayers; or you can’t see Him at work. Ask the Lord to reveal to you what is really happening in your life and what He is trying to teach you.  \nJames 1:2-4 Don’t run from tests and hardships\, brothers and sisters. As difficult as they are\, you will ultimately find joy in them; if you embrace them\, your faith will blossom under pressure and teach you true patience as you endure. And true patience brought on by endurance will equip you to complete the long journey and cross the finish line—mature\, complete\, and wanting nothing. (TVT) \nRecognize the enemy is always on his job. He does not want you to live your life growing in the things of God. He certainly does not want you to fulfill the purpose God has for you. Don’t let him distract you; then you will not spend time murmuring and complaining. Confuse the enemy with celebration!!! \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for teaching me the purpose of waiting and for helping me understand better how You work. You have an assignment for me. You gave me the good and perfect gifts I need to fulfill the assignment. However\, there are some things I didn’t think about. I repent for acting like I have the complete picture. I don’t know how I will do what You have called me to do. I don’t know who else You chose to work with me. I need to learn to use Your gifts. Learning will take trial and error\, which means mistakes and difficulties. The vision will come; I must wait for it. I am sorry for getting in a hurry. No matter where my training exercises come from\, You or what You allow the enemy to do\, You are the teacher. You are in control. It is just a test You have designed for me. You must develop the gifts You have given me\, and that happens through trials. I know the race is not given to the swift\, nor to the strong. It’s given to the one who endures to the end. I want to be one of those who endures to the end. Help me endure hardness as a good soldier to please You\, the One Who chose me to be Your soldier… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
