SUMMARY:Luke 11:1
DESCRIPTION:Luke 11:1 And it came to pass\, that\, as he was praying in a certain place\, when he ceased\, one of his disciples said unto him\, Lord\, teach us to pray\, as John also taught his disciples. (KJV) \nPsalms 4:1 Hear me when I call\, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me\, and hear my prayer. (KJV) \nHow do you approach the Lord? \nThere are many ways to pray. You can journal as you spend time with the Lord\, writing what He says. You can pray the scripture. You can pray alone or with a prayer partner. You can be still before the Lord and allow your mind to be clear. The disciples wanted to know how to approach God. They were asking Jesus to give them instruction on how to pray\, when to pray\, and what to pray for. They wanted Him to teach them what they should say. Because of Jesus’ death\, burial\, and resurrection\, you have a free path to the Lord. \nHebrews 4:16  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace\, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (New King James Version NKJV) \nAs you submit your requests to the Lord\, both for others and for yourself\, remember you are coming before your heavenly Father\, confiding in Him and trusting in His power and goodness. Please remember\, you are still approaching THE Almighty God. He is holy and does not look on sin. You can come\, not because of anything that you are doing or have done. You come because of faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. \nPhilippians 3:9 And be found in Him\, not having my own righteousness\, which is from the law\, but that which is through faith in Christ\, the righteousness which is from God by faith. (New King James Version NKJV) \nYou approach Him in prayer because you acknowledge God’s love and mercy. However\, do not ever forget His power and authority. \nNehemiah 1:5 And I said\, O Lord God of heaven\, the great and terrible God\, Who keeps covenant\, loving-kindness\, and mercy for those who love Him and keep His commandments. \n(Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nGod wants us to come to Him just as Jesus did. He wants us to pray for ourselves and for others. As you humble your heart\, your prayers rise as a sweet-smelling incense that pleases Him. Don’t stop with prayer\, give Him praise. Bless the Lord for He is El Elyon [el el-yan]  (The Most High God). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, though You are El Elyon\, I can come to You. You are listening every time I come to You when I’m in distress and when my loved ones are in distress. You show mercy. I know You hear my prayers. I trust You will answer them as You see fit. I repent when I allow my confidence to dictate how You should answer me. It is not my job to give You the solution as if I have some information You don’t have. You don’t have to figure it out. You were there before we got there. You don’t have to work things out; You have already worked them out. You know how things are going to work because You have a plan for my life. If I got to the place\, I am in because of Your plan or my free will; You have already resolved it. Jesus taught me how and when to come to You. He also taught me what to say. He even taught me my job is to believe I can ask You and know\, because of Him\, You hear me and will answer…\nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:James 4:3
DESCRIPTION:James 4:3 You have asked\, but God seems reluctant to give it to you\, you may say. But when your motivation is to get something just so that you can squander it on yourself\, you are doing it all wrong! (TMB) \nPsalms 96:13 Before the Lord: for he cometh\, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness\, and the people with his truth. (KJV) \nAre you asking amiss? \nAre there times when you ask God for something in particular that you want? If you are being honest with yourself\, are all of your requests purely for the advancement of the kingdom? Do you sometimes make a request to fulfill the lust of your flesh\, the lust of your eyes\, or pride in your life? Now\, you might be able to justify to yourself the possibility that God could get some glory. You may even have a conversation with your friends\, your prayer partner\, your family members\, etc. and convince them it would be such a blessing. However\, you know the real reason for the request. God also knows what is in your heart. He will judge every request on its merit. There is no sense in trying to make your request into something other than what it is. Rather than trying to pretty up your wish\, know that God has already given you permission to ask for whatever you want. \nPhilippians 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything\, but in every circumstance and in everything\, by prayer and petition (definite requests)\, with thanksgiving\, continue to make your wants known to God. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nYes\, you can ask what you will. However\, you have to keep in mind there is a part you play in making your requests. Your request should be what God wants for you. If you abide in the Lord\, the requests you make will glorify Him. \nJohn 15:7 If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is\, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart]\, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nWhen you abide in Him\, you spend time learning what He wants. You allow Him to show you what is best for you\, even if it is contrary to what you want. Your desires stop being what gratifies your flesh and they become what edifies your spirit. \nPsalms 37:4 Find your delight and true pleasure in Yahweh\, and he will give you what you desire the most. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nYou don’t have to ask amiss. God has given you the path to prayers that reverence Him. \n1 John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask\, we receive of him\, because we keep his commandments\, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. (KJV) \nHonor your promise when you accepted the gift of salvation. You confessed Him as Lord. Lord means He takes preeminence over your life\, over your decisions and over your desires. You no longer belong to you. Everything you do and all you obtain is to be used for the glory of God. As you continue your walk with the Lord\, you may make a selfish request now and again. The Holy Spirit will convict you\, not condemn you\, and your prayers will change. \nGive God praise because He is Jehovah–Adon [ja-hō-va a-dōn ]  (LORD of lords our judge) and He will help you purify your requests. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, I am amused with myself sometimes. I am sure sometimes You are and other times You are not. You have given me the ability to influence; I know it. I know it’s possible for me to have a convincing conversation with almost anyone. I can present my prayer request in such a way; they will believe and agree with me about the magnitude of the blessing. I cannot convince You. I repent for trying to. Even as I am writing\, I have such conviction. You see what was in my heart\, though others may not. I am forever grateful You say ‘no’ to fleshly requests. You taught me and continue to teach me; all my ideas are not spiritual ones. You have shown me when my requests don’t honor You\, they will not turn out the way I envisioned and most probably will cause me pain. Often I don’t take into consideration the consequences of my requests. You showed me I can’t because I don’t have all the parts to the picture. Because I don’t have enough information\, I often asked for the wrong thing and for the wrong reason. As You were teaching me\, I know You will grant some of my requests. I also know You will not do what I requested because You know what’s best. Thank You for judging every petition and requiring me to ask what the ultimate goal for the desire is\, why I want it\, and who will benefit from it.? If I see myself at the end of my request\, it is not what You would have for me. I need to make requests that honor and glorify You\, the Almighty\, Most High God…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:2 Corinthians 1:3
DESCRIPTION:2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ\, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort\, (NKJV) \nPsalms 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (KJV) \nAre you worrying or praying? \nThere can be times in your life when there’s a lot going on. Your cares may pull your focus\, or you may be so exhausted you can barely muster the energy to pray. This is the time when you need to pray the most. You should encourage yourself to pray because the Lord wants to hear from you; and if you don’t find rest and comfort in His presence\, you will worry. \nPsalm 46:1 God\, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge! You’re a proven help in time of trouble— more than enough and always available whenever I need you. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nWhy do you worry? Because: \n\nYou have forgotten; you don’t have to be uncertain about your future (Jeremiah 29:11).\nYou don’t know how to wait (Isaiah 40:31).\nYou think you have to do something instead of giving full control to the Lord (Philippians 4:6–7).\nYou are allowing your thoughts to control you instead of the other way around (2 Corinthians 10:5).\n\nThe Lord calls to you and tells you\, come and speak freely. You do not have to fear your request is unimportant. You don’t have to worry about your request being rejected. \nSong of Solomon 2:14 [So I went with him\, and when we were climbing the rocky steps up the hillside\, my beloved shepherd said to me] O my dove\, [while you are here] in the seclusion of the clefts in the solid rock\, in the sheltered and secret place of the cliff\, let me see your face\, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet\, and your face is lovely. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nThe sound of pure and sincere prayer is sweet and acceptable to God. You will be like a child who raises his arms for the love and comfort of his daddy. Whatever a father could give to his child\, God can and does give more. \nMatthew 7:11 If ye then\, being evil\, know how to give good gifts unto your children\, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? (KJV) \nHe created you\, and He knows exactly what you need. There is nothing too hard for Him. If you are worrying you’re not praying. If you are praying; you don’t have to worry. You are taking your problems to El Shaddai [el- sha-di] (God almighty\, the many breasted one). He completely nourishes\, satisfies\, and supplies you as a mother would her child. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You are Elohim\, my Creator and my God. I can make any request to You. Many times\, I have said I directly model how I relate to You after how I relate to my Dad. I love him\, and I know he loves me. People would always say he spoiled me. It is debatable whether or not that is completely true. I just know there were times when I needed him\, and he was there for me as much as he could be. When he thought I was wrong; he did what he thought was best. When he thought I was right; he cheered me on. After I grew up and married; he was still there. Father\, You showed me that same way I would go to him\, I should come to You. As limited as my earthly Dad was; he showed me love. I repent for limiting Your love to the love my Dad gave me. You can and You do show me infinitely more love because of Your immeasurable power and wisdom and because You are love. I will remember that when my thoughts try to make me anxious again. I will come to You about anything. I will crawl into Your lap\, just like I have done time and time again with my earthly Dad\, lay my head on Your chest and tell You all about it. Thank You for being El Shaddai…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Jude 25
DESCRIPTION:Jude 25  to the only God our Savior\, through our Lord Jesus Christ\, be endless glory and majesty\, great power and authority—from before he created time\, now\, and throughout all the ages of eternity. Amen! (TPT) \nPsalms 48:14 For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. (KJV) \nAre you constantly talking to God? \nIsaiah 9:6 For a child will be born to us\, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor\, Mighty God\, Eternal Father\, Prince of Peace. (New American Standard Bible NASB) \nGod is your Wonderful Counselor; He is there to listen to every concern you have and give you guidance. He is Almighty; there is nothing He cannot do. He is your Eternal Father; the Daddy you call on like a little child running to the only one that makes you feel safe. He is the Prince of Peace; The One who can calm you no matter what is going on in your life. Why wouldn’t you need to talk to God\, constantly? \nThe average adult\, according to the USA Today\, makes about 35\,000 decisions each day. Most of them rather simple ones. Where will I sit\, what will I have to eat at each feeding\, how much will I pay\, am I thirsty\, should I call to let them know I’m late. Along with driving a car and what lane to be in\, looking for other drivers\, etc. (John Reitmeier) \nBecause you are continually making choices\, both instinctively and because of intense thought\, it makes sense you would pray without ceasing. You want to consult God in all things. \nProverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him\, and he shall direct thy paths. (KJV) \nRealistically\, you cannot spend every waking moment with your head bowed and your eyes-closed in prayer. The goal here is to have an attitude of prayer continuously. \n\nLive your life aware of God; what He requires; what He desires (Romans 10:8\, Psalm 119:11).\nKeep in mind His love for you is unchangeable (James 1:17\, Hebrews 13:8).\nStand on the fact that God will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6\, Matthew 28:20).\nSubmit all your decisions to Him\, not just the major decisions you have to make (Psalm 37:5\, Isaiah 30:21).\nAccept the path God has laid out for your life. He knows what is best (Matthew 6:8\, Romans 8:26).\nLive your life trusting what the word says and don’t doubt (James 1:5-7\, Matthew 21:21).\nDon’t give up on the Lord\, no matter what is looks like (Luke 18:1-8\, 1Thessalonians 5:17\, Acts 16:23-25).\nLive your life motivated by the right thing (1Kings 3:6-9\, Galatians 6:9).\nDesire for God’s will to be done\, not yours (Matthew 26:39\, Matthew 6:10).\nKeep the commandments of God\, obey (John 14:15\, 1John 3:22).\nLive a life of thanksgiving (1 Thessalonians 5:18\, Hebrews 13:15\, Ephesians 5:20).\n\nIf you make the adjustments necessary to have an attitude of prayer at all times\, you will live a life that is pleasing to the Lord. Meditate on Proverbs 3:5-6 again. If all does not mean all for you\, how much of the time will you acknowledge God? Start some place; as you continue to seek him more and more\, you will live in a higher level of spiritual awareness. He is with you. Your thoughts and actions are His concern; they involve and engage Him actively. More importantly\, He will be your guide when you are making decisions. \nDeuteronomy 4:29 But if from there you will seek (inquire for and require as necessity) the Lord your God\, you will find Him if you [truly] seek Him with all your heart [and mind] and soul and life. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nHere is another thing to remember: He is Lord when you pray for His guidance and when you don’t; when you do what He says and when you don’t. He is everlasting. He is always there. You praise God because He is Elohenu Olam [el-a-hū-nū  ō-lim]  (Your Everlasting God). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, it never occurred to me I made thousands of decisions every day. When I realized I did\, I had to repent because I know I was not acknowledging You in all of them. In all my ways\, means in every decision I make. Do You really care what dress I wear? You have shown me You care about anything and everything concerning me. Contrary to what I might have thought\, the answer to my question is\, yes. Does that mean I should spend hours in prayer to see what I am supposed to wear to work tomorrow? I don’t think so. If I am wrong\, please show me. What I do know is: every detail of my life concerns You\, what I consider to be the minor issues as well as what I consider to be the most important problem. The choice that is insignificant or significant; could have repercussions I do not know of. I repent for not acknowledging You in every decision I make. I purpose to from now on. I don’t want to be flaky in how I acknowledge You; yet I want You to be in my thoughts continuously. I want You to be my confidant\, my guide\, my conscious\, my border\, and my doorkeeper. I need You to be whatever word in any language that describes the everlasting God Who makes sure I make the right choices. I don’t have to want You to be Elohenu Olam\, all I have to do is allow You to…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 6:7
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray\, use not vain repetitions\, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (KJV) \nDeuteronomy 10:17 For the Lord your God is God of gods\, and Lord of lords\, a great God\, a mighty\, and a terrible\, which regardeth not persons\, nor taketh reward: (KJV) \nDo you know God is listening to you when you pray? \nWhen there is altar call at church\, are you willing for someone other than the pastor to pray for you? If the pastor is not available\, and several other altar workers are standing there to pray\, do you have a preference? If so\, why? Do you think one person’s prayer will get through\, and someone else’s won’t. Do you think one elder has a greater connection to God than another? Have you heard the deacon pray the same prayer\, often enough\, you could recite it with him? None of that matters because God does not have a pecking order. \nActs 10:34-35 Peter fairly exploded with his good news: “It’s God’s own truth\, nothing could be plainer: God plays no favorites! It makes no difference who you are or where you’re from—if you want God and are ready to do as he says\, the door is open”. (The Message MSG) \nThe truth is\, God is there\, listening for your prayers. \nPsalm 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the [uncompromisingly] righteous and His ears are open to their cry. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nGod answers your prayers based on the condition of your heart… \nMatthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes\, saying\, “According to your faith let it be to you.” (NKJV) \n…and what aligns with His will and His plan. \nProverbs 19:21 A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life\, but only the designs of God’s purpose will succeed in the end. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nThe Bible says God looks on the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). He hears you and He can see what is in your heart\, no matter who is praying for you or if you go to Him on your own. He is not looking for a loud prayer or a perfect prayer. God desires your prayer to come from an intense desire and unwavering faith to see His will manifested in your life. \nGive God praise because He is Elohei Haelohim [ē-lō-hī  hī-lō-him] (The God of gods). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I can remember many times when I wanted the pastor to pray for me. I had respect for the pastor because\, after all\, “the pastor\,” is Your chosen one. The thought never occurred to me it wasn’t the person. I am sorry for the creating a pecking order that I thought You adhered to. I repent for making it someone else’s responsibility to pray for me. You hear the cries of Your people. I fall into the category of “Your People”. I am to live in a way that shows the degree or the intensity of my relationship with You. I am Your child\, and You hear all my prayers. You teach me to come to You because You are my God; You love me\, and You want what’s best for me. I can’t have faith in someone else. My faith must be in You. I remember when I was a child. Because I was the baby\, my sisters would tell me to ask Dad or Mom for what they wanted. They thought I could get a “yes” when they would get a “no.” I can’t get someone else to ask for me because I think You will cater to them or I think You will respond to them and not me. There is no person who has better words to say; no matter how long they have been walking with You or how You use them. You are the same God for me as You are for them. If I am humble and sincere in the request\, I make to You; You hear me. According to Your will\, You’ll answer…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 21:13
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 21:13 And said unto them\, It is written\, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves. (KJV) \nGenesis 35:7 And he built there an altar\, and called the place El-beth-el: because there God appeared unto him\, when he fled from the face of his brother. (KJV) \nWhy do you fellowship with other believers? \nYour fellowship may be in a virtual meeting\, on a conference call\, or in a building. You may have many reasons for participating; out of duty or obligation\, to get your needs met\, to feel good\, to be inspired\, because you have a function to perform during the service you are attending\, etc. Because the rules\, regulations\, environment\, and etiquette for Christian fellowship have become more causal\, believers often use it as a networking venue. If asked\, would you say you are going to meet with the Lord or “Meet Up”? Do you have an expectation to encounter the presence of God? Do you anticipate hearing the Lord speak to you? Do you look for God to transform your life\, or do you come and leave the same? Do you really want to be changed or do you just want to be able to say you fellowshipped today? Here are some reasons for you to consider. \n\nTo learn and better understand Scripture. It increases your growth on your walk of faith.\n\nColossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ live in you richly\, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms\, and with festive praises\, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit\, so sing to God with all your hearts! (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nTo get wise counsel.\n\nProverbs 11:14 Where there is no [wise\, intelligent] guidance\, the people fall [and go off course like a ship without a helm]\, But in the abundance of [wise and godly] counselors there is victory. (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nTo create the right atmosphere for the presence of your Lord.\n\nMatthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers]\, I am there among them.” (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nTo share with\, encourage\, teach\, love\, help\, etc. other believers.\n\nHebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider and give attentive\, continuous care to watching over one another\, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities\, 25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers]\, as is the habit of some people\, but admonishing (warning\, urging\, and encouraging) one another\, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nTo keep from being isolated and becoming easy prey.\n\nProverbs 18:1 He who [willfully] separates himself [from God and man] seeks his own desire\, \nHe quarrels against all sound wisdom. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nDon’t allow your time to be some sort of non-spiritual activity where you get a temporary lift until the next time. Jacob built an altar (Genesis 35:7) because he had an experience with the Lord that changed his life forever. In fellowship with believers\, you can have the same type of transformation. The next time you decide to take part in a time of fellowship with other believers\, prepare your heart. \nGive God praise and ask Him to meet you because He is Ruach Elohim [roo-auk el- ō-hēm] (The Spirit of God) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in Your infinite wisdom\, You have taught us that coming together to fellowship with believers does not have to happen in a building. I have many reasons for participating in fellowship. Sometimes I have to sing\, intercede\, or someone asked me to preach the word. There are times when I have had a responsibility in the service as an altar worker\, a greeter\, or usher. Anyone could ask me why I was taking part in fellowship or going to church. My answer would have been one of those reasons. I never got up and said I’m going to the house of prayer to meet the Lord; I’m going for my life to be transformed; I’m going because I expect to be changed and never be the same. I repent because those should have been my answer. I give You praise\, glory\, and honor because they are my answer now. I want to go to fellowship to meet You with my brothers and sisters. I want You to change me every time. Add something that I don’t have\, develop something that is weak\, remove something that is not like You. When I am in Your presence\, I never want my life to remain the same. If I am changed every time I am in fellowship with other believers; I will see a manifestation of Your glory in my life and as I live on this earth. Your presence\, fortified by other believers\, will ultimately transform me into the person You ordained for me to be…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ecclesiastes 5:2
DESCRIPTION:Ecclesiastes 5:2 Be not rash with thy mouth\, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven\, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. (KJV) \nIsaiah 40:25 To whom then will ye liken me\, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. (KJV) \nAre you mindful of what you say to God? \nYou have the liberty to talk to God. Do you sometimes forget that you’re actually talking “to God”? Or do you say things as if you were talking to a friend or relative? You can do anything you want. However\, not everything you do is beneficial. You can say whatever you want\, again\, not everything you say is edifying. \n1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are legitimate [permissible—and we are free to do anything we please]\, but not all things are helpful (expedient\, profitable\, and wholesome). All things are legitimate\, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nWithout knowing it\, you may say disrespectful and dishonorable things to God. Here are some examples: \nYou say:  If you get me out of this mess\, I’ll never do this again. \nEcclesiastes 5:4-5 If you make a promise to God\, do not be slow to keep it; for He takes no pleasure in fools. So do what you have promised. 5 In fact\, it would be better not to make a vow in the first place than to make it and not fulfill it. (The Voice TVT) \nGod is saying: I know you. I know if you really mean what you are promising. Also\, please keep in mind\, I know if you are going to keep this promise. \n**** \nYou say:  I do everything I can for others. It is not the same for me. It’s as if nobody loves me. \nRomans 5:7-8 Now it is an extraordinary thing for one to willingly give his life even for an upright man\, though perhaps for a good man [one who is noble and selfless and worthy] someone might even dare to die. 8 But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us\, by the fact that while we were still sinners\, Christ died for us. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nGod is saying: My love for you isn’t enough because you don’t spend enough time with Me to get to know Me and experience My love. If you did\, you would see that I love you more than you can even contain. \n**** \nYou say: At the end of another day\, and I’m all alone. I want someone to share my life with. The people in my life don’t understand me. \nHebrews 13:5b-6a For He [God] Himself has said\, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not\, [I will] not\, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] 6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say\, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nGod is saying: Though you may feel alone\, you are not. Sit down with Me right now\, quiet your mind. Take out your journal and tell Me what you wanted to share with the people in your life. Then\, and this is very important\, wait until I speak to you about all you have shared. I understand you. \n**** \nYou say: I purchase clothes; I buy makeup\, I even learn how to put it all together and still I don’t feel beautiful. When I look in the mirror\, I don’t like what I see. \nPsalm 139:13-15 For You shaped me\, inside and out. You knitted me together in my mother’s womb long before I took my first breath. 14 I will offer You my grateful heart\, for I am Your unique creation\, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul. 15 You see all things; nothing about me was hidden from You As I took shape in secret\, carefully crafted in the heart of the earth before I was born from its womb. (The Voice TVT) \nGod is saying: If you looked at yourself through My eyes\, you would change what you see and what you say. I made you in My image. You are comparing yourself to the wrong things. It is your human nature that causes you to feel this way. I want you to live in the divine nature I created you in. I want you to look in the mirror and see Me. \n**** \nYou say: There are so many things I have done in my life. How could God forgive me? I am unforgivable. \nPsalm 103:10-12 Thankfully\, God does not punish us for our sins and depravity as we deserve.     In His mercy\, He tempers justice with peace. 11 Measure how high heaven is above the earth; God’s wide\, loving\, kind heart is greater for those who revere Him. 12 You see\, God takes all our crimes—our seemingly inexhaustible sins—and removes them. As far as east is from the west\, He removes them from us. (The Voice TVT) \nGod is saying: I forgave you before you sinned. I forgave you before you were even born. I am not you. I don’t handle things how you do. There are two things I want you to remember. One\, you don’t think you are forgivable because you harbor unforgiveness in your heart. I sent my son to die for your sins and the sins of those you are carrying a grudge against. Accept what Jesus did for you. Two\, if you set others free\, you can set yourself free. If you accept all of what Jesus did for you\, you will live without guilt and shame. \n**** \nYou say: I have been told often enough that I did not lie up to my potential. I made some choices that caused people to look down on me. I keep messing up. I take a step forward and then something happens\, and I am pushed two steps back. I am just not worth anything. \n1 John 3:1-2 Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. The reason the world doesn’t recognize who we are is that they didn’t recognize him. 2 Beloved\, we are God’s children right now; however\, it is not yet apparent what we will become. But we do know that when it is finally made visible\, we will be just like him\, for we will see him as he truly is. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nGod is saying: I don’t determine value the way you do\, nor the way the world does. I chose you as My child. You are priceless. You are heir to my throne. Look to Me to tell you what your worth is. I created you with purpose and a specific plan. Spend time with me and you will see in unfold. Stop determining your value by what you do. Determine your value by what you allow Me to do through you. \n**** \nGod is a spirit\, the Holy Spirit. He is not a human being. He does not respond to things the way human beings do (so grateful He does not). It is important to remember He is omniscient\, omnipresent and all-powerful. You must realize\, when you pray prayers out of emotion and insincerity\, you are not helping yourself. You don’t have to use vain repetitions or a multitude of words in prayer. It is not a sales pitch; you are talking to the creator of the universe. You have been granted audience with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords; keep in mind He is Kadosh [ kā-dosh] (The Holy One). Reflect on who He is and spend more of your prayer time listening rather than talking. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, there have been times when I was told\, “You better check yourself before You wreck yourself.”  Whoever I was talking to felt I was out of order because of who they were. I have also been guilty of saying things to You without keeping in mind who I was talking to and I repent for not giving You the honor You are due. When I got out of line\, my father used to ask me\, “Who do you think you are talking to?” You deserve that same respect and more. You are Holy. I temper my conversation when I’m talking to my pastor or to the boss. Though I can ask You anything I want; I need to remember You are GOD. If I got the opportunity to speak to the president; I wouldn’t say any ole thing. I will give You greater respect. I can tell You what I want without disrespecting Your Holiness and the Glory of who You are. I can ask You for what I need without asking You to a pity party that compromises my understanding of Your Majesty. I don’t have the right to try to handle You\, order You around\, or demand anything from You. It is enough for me to say thank You for what You have already done. I will spend less of my time talking and more of my time listening. Thank You for giving me a continual audience with You. You are the King of Glory\, the Holy One and I will honor You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 6:9-13
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 6:9-13 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven\, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come\, Thy will be done in earth\, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts\, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation\, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom\, and the power\, and the glory\, for ever. Amen. (KJV) \nPsalms 18:2 The Lord is my rock\, and my fortress\, and my deliverer; my God\, my strength\, in whom I will trust; my buckler\, and the horn of my salvation\, and my high tower. (KJV) \nHow do you pray? \nThe Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:1-4) is the model Jesus gave for prayer. A.C.T.S. is an easy way to remember the key elements of prayer. It’s simply prayer in four parts: \nA-Adoration \nTell God how much you appreciate Him. Express your love for Him. Praise His power and majesty. \n\n1 Chronicles 29:11 Yours\, O Lord\, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty\, for all that is in the heavens and the earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom\, O Lord\, and Yours it is to be exalted as Head over all. (AMPC)\nJude 25 To the one only God\, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord\, be glory (splendor)\, majesty\, might and dominion\, and power and authority\, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it). (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC)\n\nC-Confession \nTell Him where you have fallen short. Be specific. Thank Him for the forgiveness you have in Christ\, and ask for help and strength to turn away from future temptations. \n\nProverbs 28:13 He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper\, But whoever confesses and turns away from his sins will find compassion and mercy. (Amplified Bible AMP)\n1 John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins\, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose\, thought\, and action]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC)\n\nT-Thanksgiving \nYou have plenty of reasons to be thankful. Thank God for His love\, His faithfulness\, His patience. Take the time to think about what God has done and then take the time to thank Him. \n\nPsalm 107:1 O give thanks unto the Lord\, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. (KJV)\n1 Thessalonians 5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be\, be thankful and give thanks]\, for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC)\n\nS-Supplication \nTell God what you want\, no matter how small it seems to you. \n\nPsalm 116:1-2 I love the Lord\, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. 2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me\, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. (KJV)\nPhilippians 4:6-7 Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day\, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life\, 7 then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding\, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ. (The Passion Translation TPT)\n\nThere is no one greater to talk about your life with. In prayer you will find a confidant\, a teacher\, refuge\, strength\, a burden bearer and much more. He is Elohim Bashamayim [el- ō-hēm bash-a-may-him] (God in Heaven). You can run to Your Father\, Who is in heaven above\, and be safe. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, for a long time\, I didn’t think that it should excite me to talk to You. I knew I should talk to You. You also taught me I should want to talk to You. You never stop teaching me and now I am excited to talk to You. When I have good news\, I can’t wait to tell my friends and loved ones. It never occurred to me to come to You with the same enthusiasm. I repent for taking You for granted. I repent for not running to You with the good news like I do when the news is bad. I would not have any news at all if it were not for You. Now I come to thank You because I recognize whatever happened would never have happened without You. I also come because I am excited to hear what You have to say. I am motivated in the time I spend with You. I can remember\, years ago\, I wrote my prayers\, and I used the A.C.T.S. model to talk to You. It was important for me to follow the model\, step by step. I wanted to make sure I approached You the right way\, and I said the right things to You. It was the answer Jesus gave the disciples when they asked Him to teach them to pray; so\, it was the one for me. Though I still use this model\, in some form\, I have come to know prayer does not have to be regimented. Prayer is having a conversation with You. I understand we’re not peers and I’m glad about it. I come to You\, honoring You for Your Majesty\, confessing all the things I’ve done\, asking for forgiveness when needed\, thanking You for Your blessings\, and sharing my life. The most important thing I do is listen to You for guidance. When I both listen and obey\, I can continue to honor You. I thank You for Your grace and Your mercy. Please continue to draw me closer to You\, my Father Who art in Heaven…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 10:14
DESCRIPTION:Romans 10:14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? (NLT) \nExodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses\, I AM THAT I AM: and he said\, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel\, I AM hath sent me unto you. (KJV) \nAre you fulfilling the Great Commission? \nDo you ever talk to people who seem to have strayed from God or do not know God at all? Do you wonder what to say? You can give reasons for not witnessing. Is that really what you want to do. You want to find your motivation to witness. Here are some things to consider: \n\nSomeone loved you enough to tell you about Jesus. There is someone waiting for you to do the same for them.\n\nActs 1:8 But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea\, and Samaria\, and even to the ends of the earth.” (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nIt’s not about you; whether you are eloquent or are not; what your socioeconomic status is; nor what your profession is. There are those who need to hear about Jesus who you can relate to.\n\n1 Corinthians 2:1-2\, 4 My brothers and sisters\, I did not pose as an expert with all the answers. I did not pretend to explain the mystery of God with eloquent speech and human wisdom. 2 I claimed to know nothing with certainty other than the reality that Jesus is the Anointed One\, the Liberating King\, who was crucified on our behalf. 4 The sermons I preached were not delivered with the kind of persuasive elegance some have come to expect\, but they were effective because I relied on God’s Spirit to demonstrate God’s power. (The Voice TVT) \n\nYour job is to preach the gospel (present the birth\, death\, burial\, and resurrection of Jesus Christ). You don’t have to convince someone; you just need to witness to them.\n\nActs 20:24 But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me\, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus\, to testify faithfully of the good news of God’s [precious\, undeserved] grace [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]. \n\nThe Father will work through you.\n\nEphesians 3:20 Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request\, your most unbelievable dream\, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all\, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nSpend time in prayer\, listening for the Lord to show you how to let “your” light shine. \nMatthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy\, noble\, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nIf you do\, someone will recognize the presence of God in you\, see how the Lord has changed you\, and want the same for themselves. \nActs 16:28-30 But Paul shouted\, saying\, “Do not hurt yourself\, we are all here!” 29 Then the jailer called for torches and rushed in\, and trembling with fear he fell down before Paul and Silas\, 30 and after he brought them out [of the inner prison]\, he said\, “Sirs\, what must I do to be saved?” (Amplified Bible AMP) \nYour approach may differ from someone else’s and that’s okay. \n1 Corinthians 3:6-7 I have planted\, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing\, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. (KJV) \nYou have the Holy Spirit as your guide. Your testimony is all the power needed. \nRevelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb\, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. (KJV) \nThe greatest weapon in your arsenal is you are sent by Ehyeh asher Ehyeh [ā-ya a-ser ā-ya] (The eternal\, all-sufficient God). He is able to meet every need\, yours and theirs. Whether you are the one who is planting\, or the one who is watering\, God will get the increase. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, when I was younger\, I thought the Great Commission was for those who were a part of the fivefold ministry gift only. I repent for every opportunity I passed on because I disqualified myself. Thank You for teaching me. Now I know every believer is to be a witness to who You are. I am to speak to those I meet and introduce them to a God who can save them from a life of sin and death. I know You will give me the words to say at the appointed time because Your word says You will. I know I don’t have to be eloquent. I don’t need finesse or panache. I am not required to make them understand. All I need is Your love in my heart and my testimony on my lips. Your word says they overcame by the word of their testimony. As I share my life\, people will see where I was and appreciate where I am today. Then they will know You can do the same for them. You are an all-sufficient God. Everything we all need\, we can find in You. Help me live my life seeing Your new mercies every day. I pray my testimony will keep being rewritten because You continue to transform me. I pray what You have done in my life is evident in my talk and in my walk and You get the glory for it…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 18:20
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name\, there am I in the midst of them. (KJV) \nJoshua 3:10 And Joshua said\, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you\, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites\, and the Hittites\, and the Hivites\, and the Perizzites\, and the Girgashites\, and the Amorites\, and the Jebusites. (KJV) \nAre you in agreement? \nThroughout this year\, I asked you to agree with me as I prayed. The conditions for God to be in the midst of the prayer are clear. \n\nFirst\, it cannot be just any two or three people together\, the people have to be believers; those who have accepted the invitation to salvation and walk in the power of God’s promises.\n\nRevelation 21:3 Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words\, saying\, See! The abode of God is with men\, and He will live (encamp\, tent) among them; and they shall be His people\, and God shall personally be with them and be their God. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nIt does not matter whether you have an official capacity in the church or not. If you are a believer\, you can stand in agreement with any other believer as they pray. Thank you for extending your faith and standing in agreement.\n\n1 Corinthians 5:4 When you gather in the name of the Lord Jesus and I am present with you in spirit\, and the infinite power of our Lord Jesus is present also. (The Voice TVT) \n\nSecond\, in order for you to agree\, you must believe you are gathered in the name of Christ\, trusting His intercession.\n\nColossians 3:17 And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed\, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person\, giving praise to God the Father through Him. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nEach time you read the devotional\, be it daily or as you think about it\, you are showing agreement. You are saying you believe the information provided is God sent. If you did not believe it\, you would not read it. In all of your interactions\, try the word and see if God is in it. You don’t want to attach yourself to something that “looks” good. You only want to be attached God\, Who is good.\n\n1 John 4:4 Beloved\, believe not every spirit\, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (KJV) \n\nLastly\, you must believe the prayers we pray are not to fulfill some fleshly desire. You must believe the spirit man is asking\, in entire submission\, to the will of the Father in heaven.\n\nHebrews 10:22 We come closer to God and approach him with an open heart\, fully convinced that nothing will keep us at a distance from him. For our hearts have been sprinkled with blood to remove impurity\, and we have been freed from an accusing conscience. Now we are clean\, unstained\, and presentable to God inside and out! (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nAsk the Lord to assist you as you discern your motivation. As you continue to spend time with the Lord and try the spirit\, He will expose His and your purpose for fellowshipping with believers. Not just for this devotional\, He will show you who to pray with\, when to pray with them\, and why you are praying and standing in agreement.\n\nMark 10:37-38 They said to Him\, “Grant that we may sit [with You]\, one on Your right and one on Your left\, in Your glory [Your majesty and splendor in Your kingdom].” 38 But Jesus said to them\, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink\, or to be baptized with the baptism [of suffering and death] with which I am baptized?” (Amplified Bible AMP) \nIf you meet all the conditions\, Elohei Mikkarov [el- ō-hē mick-a-rove] (God who is near) is in the midst. He is the very present help and employs all of His power and majesty to empower you as you intercede. He is right there to answer prayer. As you continue to stand in agreement\,  He will also continue to teach your hands to war and your fingers to fight. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, every morning I have asked those who have joined me in this devotional to agree with me in prayer. I believe they did exactly what I asked. I felt their strength throughout this year\, and I really needed it. When people read this devotional year after year\, I will continue to be fortified by their agreement and I will still need it. What a wonderful thing to live in a world where I can be gathered together with other believers and not be in the same building. We gathered in our hearts and in our minds. As they meditate on the devotional\, we are gathered. I believe the prayers written for each day will affect the reader. I also believe the reader will internalize the prayers. As they see themselves in the prayer\, they will be in agreement because they show my desire to submit to Your will\, not to bring any fleshly desire. Each prayer has been a request for You to change me\, to make me better\, to show me what I need to stop doing; and to show me what I need to start doing. All to be done for Your glory and not for mine. I repent for being concerned about what the readers would think about me as they read the prayers. Thank You for showing me these prayers are my testimony and my light. Thank You for those who are standing in agreement with me. I pray You will do the work in them You have done in me. I thank You for being in the midst of us as we prayed…\n \nASK THE LORD WHAT HE WANTS TO SAY TO YOU ABOUT TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL AND JOURNAL IT HERE:
