SUMMARY:Mark 11:24
DESCRIPTION:Mark 11:24 This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours. (TPT)  \n1 Kings 3:5  In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said\, Ask what I shall give thee. (KJV) \nWhy do you go to God? \nHave you ever asked a question to a superior\, a spouse\, or anyone else and they did not respond? Were they in the room with you? Were you texting back and forth\, or did you email? No matter how you were communicating\, did you wonder if they were listening to you or if they were ignoring you? It is wonderful to have a God who hears you and is listening to you. God gave you the liberty to ask Him whatever you want.  \nHebrews 4:16 Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is\, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear\, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing\, coming just at the right moment]. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nPlease don’t immediately jump to the conclusion He did not hear you or does not intend to respond to you\, simply because you did not get what you wanted\, when you wanted it\, and the way you wanted it. The important thing to remember is: if you want to get what you have asked for\, it must be what is according to the Lord’s will.  \n1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence (the assurance\, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan)\, He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask\, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nThough you can ask for what you want\, God is not obligated to give you what you want. His word says He will supply your need. You may think you know what you need. There may be times when you are in a situation; you access it; and you determine what’s required to deal with it. You go to God in prayer to ask Him to fix your situation. Even though you say the words\, “Have Your way in this situation”; you have an expectation. You want Him to give you what you have determined will fix the problem. You know He can; and you think He should do it your way. Do you have the correct heart posture?  \nJames 4:3 And if you ask\, you won’t receive it for you’re asking with corrupt motives\, seeking only to fulfill your own selfish desires. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nYou should go to God because you know whether or not He gives you what you want; He loves you and is there to hear you. God was there before you got to this point in your life. There is no one who knows what you need better than the God who created you. As you go to Him\, you give Him praise because He is Jehovah Shammah [ja-hō-va sha-ma] (The Lord is there). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, I am thankful I come to You\, knowing You hear me. You want me to come to You. I am Your child. Just like I would go to my Dad\, as his child. Whatever I wanted\, I asked for. He didn’t always give it to me\, yet I always knew he was there\, and he loved me. The feelings he has for me pale in comparison to those You have. You are much greater. Like my Dad\, You don’t always give me what I ask for; You give me what I need. I repent for thinking I know what my needs are and how You should supply them. You have shown me\, time and time again\, if You had given me what I wanted\, I would not have been able to handle it or I would have been in a bigger mess than I was in. I’m grateful You know what I need. Whatever the situation is; You are Jehovah Shammah. You were there before I got there. You knew how it would affect me. You knew I would come to You. I am grateful for Your presence in my life. Thank You for being there… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 3:6
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 3:6 But Christ\, as the Son\, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house\, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. (NLT) \nDeuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God\, he is God\, the faithful God\, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. (KJV) \nDo you pray with confidence? \nAre there times when you pray and you feel you will not get the answer you are looking for? It could be\, you understand your request may not be in the will of God. It could be\, you don’t think you deserve what you want. Maybe the enemy has convinced you God does not love you. The wonderful thing is you don’t have to be motivated by what you think or the lies the devil whispers. You can stand n the word. \nJohn 15:7 But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nNo matter how many reasons you have\, remember Who you serve.  \n2 Corinthians 1:20 In Jesus we hear a resounding “yes” to all of God’s many promises. This is the reason we say “Amen” to and through Jesus when giving glory to God. (The Voice TVT) \nYou base how God responds to your prayers on who He is\, not who you are\, how hard you are praying\, nor what you have done. You don’t have the big picture. He always answers. It just may not be the answer you were looking for. You are a part of the household of faith\, where Jesus is the head of the house. He loves you and covers you.  \nHebrews 7:25 Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely\, perfectly\, finally\, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him\, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nBe assured\, God will take care of you and give Him praise because He is El Emunah [el ē-ma-na] (The Faithful God). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I come to You with my petitions. I repent for the times I thought You would not do what I was asking before I asked You. My behavior was an indication of my weakness and my frailty\, not a testimony of who You are. I’m grateful You don’t evaluate life and things the way I do. I’m thankful You are faithful to do what You promise\, each and every time. You said You would never leave me nor forsake me. I stand on Your word. I know You love me. I know loving me doesn’t mean You will always do what I want. It means You will do what Your word says. Thank You for continuing to teach me and guide me until I come to the place where my confidence is unwavering in You\, regardless of the situation. I don’t want to be hindered by what I’ve done. I want to concentrate on who You are. You are always faithful even in the times when I stayed away and messed up. You are and forever will be El Emunah… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 3:14
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ\, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. (KJV) \nExodus 15:13 In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling. (KJV) \nWhat happens when God does not answer you immediately?  \nThere are times when you pray\, and for you\, it is an emergency. You need the Lord to answer you right away. A day goes by\, and it does not seem like you have a solution\, then a week and possibly a month. You may try to work it out for yourself if you have not grounded your faith and belief in God. Since you don’t have all the information needed\, your interference can make things worse. Read the story of Sarah and Hagar (Genesis 16-18). You can choose to be importune\, as the friend in Luke 11:5-8 (* read it below). Ultimately\, you just have to wait. Waiting on God is only hard if you decide it is. God is faithful\, that should make the wait easy.  \nIsaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run\, and not be weary; and they shall walk\, and not faint. (KJV) \nThe problem you see as an emergency is just a steppingstone on the path. You must not waste time worrying. \nEphesians 5:15-16 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor\, purpose\, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil]\, not as the unwise\, but as wise [sensible\, intelligent\, discerning people]\, 16 making the very most of your time [on earth\, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence]\, because the days are [filled with] evil. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nThe Lord can compensate for the faults or adverse effects of your issue and help you get back anything lost. Just read the story of Job. \nJob 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes\, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nGod is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). However you wait\, if you wait\, He will do the same for you. \n1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while\, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor]\, Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus\, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be\, establish and ground you securely\, and strengthen\, and settle you. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nYou can go back and read the devotional from October 17 and encourage yourself. Don’t wait until the battle is over; give Him praise now because He is Go’el [gō-el] (Kinsman Redeemer). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I confess\, in a lot of the situations I encounter\, I try to figure out what I need to do\, without consulting You. I have also come to You\, more times than I can count\, to ask You for the solution\, without waiting to hear Your response. Again\, I did what “I thought” was the right thing for me to do. I repented in those times and I will keep repenting until those times and situations are no more. Whenever I tell You waiting is hard; You show me I made waiting hard. I spent too much time trying to fix the situation myself before I brought it to You. All the while\, I was making things worse for me. When I was finally at the end of me\, I brought You “my emergency”. Now\, I look at my life differently. You have always had an unchanging\, expected end for my life. No matter what I may perceive to be a problem or an emergency\, Jeremiah 29:11 tells me\, You have a plan. I may not know all the details of the plan\, however\, I know You are the Planner. I know who You are. When I pray\, continue to help me wait for Your plan to unfold. I will come to You with everything I face. I repent for trying to do Your job. Help me do my job; which very simply is to wait on You and to trust You… \nADD SOME URGENCY \n\nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \n*Luke 11:5-8 Then he said\, “Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of the night and said\, ‘Friend\, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend traveling through just showed up\, and I don’t have a thing on hand.’7 “The friend answers from his bed\, ‘Don’t bother me. The door’s locked; my children are all down for the night; I can’t get up to give you anything.’ 8 “But let me tell you\, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend\, if you stand your ground\, knocking and waking all the neighbors\, he’ll finally get up and get you whatever you need. SUMMARY:Luke 1:11
DESCRIPTION:Luke 1:11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. (KJV) \nJudges 6:12 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him\, and said unto him\, The Lord is with thee\, thou mighty man of valour. (KJV) \nWhat is the Lord speaking to you? \nIf you are listening\, you will hear from the Lord. When you are certain you heard from God\, what do you do?  \nRead what these powerful men and women did. \n\nSamuel in 2 Samuel 22.\nShiphrah and Puah in Exodus 1:17-20.\nElijah in 1 Kings 19:11-18.\nTamar in Genesis 38:1-30.\nJeremiah in Jeremiah 10:11-16.\nRahab in the Joshua 2.\nEzekiel in Ezekiel 43.\nGideon in Judges 6.\nMary\, the mother of Jesus\, in  Luke 1:28-38.\nJohn in the Book of Revelation. \n\nIn their own way\, they responded. Sometimes\, what you hear leads you to do something out of the ordinary. Whether it is spectacular or just new to you\, your assignment requires continued prayer because it is not you. It is God who will perform through you. There is no reason to think it won’t run smoothly\, right? In addition\, you want your friends\, loved ones and those whose opinion matters to you\, to believe you. What if it does not run smoothly (make sure you have God’s definition of smooth) and no one believes you? It may seem like you are standing alone. There are also some examples of that in the bible: \n\nJoseph (Genesis 37:1-44:9) it took 13 years from the dream to fulfillment.\nNoah (Genesis 6:11–9:19) it took 120 years for the request to build the ark until the flood.\n\nIf you are sure God has called you to complete a task\, even though is not happening immediately\, you must have faith.  \n\nYou can’t be moved by what you see.\n\n2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things\, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. ( Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nYou may never get the support you’re looking for. \n\nMatthew 28:20b “And lo\, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance\, and on every occasion]\, even to the end of the age.” (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nYou can even put yourself out there and bumps in the road may make you give up. Why?\n\nBecause you don’t trust God? \nBecause you decided you missed God? \nBecause of some other reason you can provide? \n\n\n\nEcclesiastes 9:11 I returned and saw under the sun that — The race is not to the swift\, Nor the battle to the strong\, Nor bread to the wise\, Nor riches to men of understanding\, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all. (New King James Version NKJV) \nAs you are dealing with the wait\, a lack of support\, believing that you missed God\, or even giving up\, you are learning in the process. There is no loss or waste in God. In the midst of it all\, there is one thing you can know for certain. \nRomans 8:28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God\, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nIt takes the strength of God to endure. However\, He has a plan for your life. As you continue to seek Him\, worship and remain in His presence; He will reveal His plan.  \nPhilippians 1:6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing\, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return]\, developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nAlways keep in mind\, God can sustain you\, keep you\, and complete every task He assigns to you. Because you know this is true\, give Him praise because He is Jehovah Immeka [ja-hō-va im-mē-kā] (The LORD Is with You).  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I never thought it took strength to allow You to work through me. Then You reminded me of Moses’ journey from Egypt to the promised land. You explained to me it can be a difficult task to stand on what I believe. Father\, the human being in me\, with all of its frailties\, wants support from the people whose opinion matters to me. When they don’t support my decision or if they don’t understand me\, sometimes it makes me wonder if I actually heard You. I repent for wanting to trust them more than I was trusting Your Spirit within me. I need Your strength and Your grace. Not just to do a particular task You’ve assigned to me; I need You every day. I don’t want to wrestle with myself\, with others\, and especially not with You. You taught me\, a long time ago\, it is okay to miss You. It’s okay to believe\, with all my heart\, I heard You and be truly wrong. Missing You helps me fine tune my ability to hear You clearer. If pride is keeping me from stepping out or causing me not to believe it’s You; please deal with me. The problem is not whether I can trust You. The problem is\, can You trust me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Acts 15:6
DESCRIPTION:Acts 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. (KJV) \nPsalms 42:8 But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me\, and through each night I sing his songs\, praying to God who gives me life. (NLT) \nAre you choosing God’s way or yours? \nWhen you need to make a decision about some situation in your life\, who do you talk to? The natural instinct is to talk to someone. Are there people you talk to about different things? Is there a person for everyday living\, a different person for career choices\, a different person for the things of God\, etc. If God has truly blessed you\, you have one person in your life you can talk to no matter what situation or issues are being addressed. However\, because you are a child of God\, He is always there and will talk to you about everything. And really\, the natural instinct should not govern your actions anymore. You should have a new spiritual nature. \nJohn 10:27 My sheep hear my voice\, and I know them\, and they follow me: (KJV) \nThe spiritual man seeks God for solutions. Why? Because God is omniscient\, and He has the answers to every situation in your life. Now the answers He has may not be the ones you want. Trust Him\, He knows what’s best. He knows everything about you. He created you and He knows your purpose.  \nRomans 8:29 For he knew all about us before we were born and he destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of his Son. This means the Son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like him. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nHe can and will finish the work He started in you before the foundation of the world. The ebb and flow of your life belongs to God\, not to you. You gave yourself to Him when you accepted His invitation to salvation.  \nJeremiah 10:23 O Lord\, I know that the path of [life of] a man is not in himself; It is not within [the limited ability of] man [even one at his best] to choose and direct his steps [in life]. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nYou will find the answers to your life problems in God. With each day that passes and each problem solved\, you give Him praise because His is El Hayyay [el ha-ya] (God of My Life). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, there is a saying\, if you want to make God laugh\, share Your plan with Him. Various people have asked me\, from the time I could talk\, “What do you want to be when you grow up”? I did not necessarily set a course for my life\, however\, I had a course set. My parents had ideas\, as did my teachers and others who were in authority in my life. I went to school. I did my work. The day came when I had to decide what my college major was going to be and what career I was going to have after I completed college. You have taught me that there is nothing wrong with having desires for my life. However\, I know I have to make sure I get my desires from You. Your word says in Psalms 37:4\, If I delight myself in You\, You will give me the desires of my heart. What an amazing revelation You provided for me when You gave me understanding about that passage is. If I take pleasure in Your presence\, You will give me what to desire\, which is You. Your word says\, if I seek You first\, You will give me all the other stuff. I have a new plan for my life. My plan is to be the child of God You ordained for me to be before You formed the world. I submit to You as the God of my life… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 7:7
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 7:7 Ask\, and it shall be given you; seek\, and ye shall find; knock\, and it shall be opened unto you. (KJV) \nPsalms 20:1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. (NIV) \nAre you still wrestling with God?  \nHave you ever had someone quote Mathew 7:7 to you? If so\, they wanted you to know whatever you were dealing with; the answer and the consolation is in God and His word. If your heart is heavy right now\, or you have filled your mind with thoughts\, you are trying to process; the word is still true. The ball is in your court. If you will ask God\, He will give you what you need. You must ask in faith and according to His will.  \nHebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nHe already knows what you need. When you ask\, you are simply submitting to His authority and will. If you continue to seek God\, you’ll find Him.  \nJeremiah 29:13 Then you will seek Me\, inquire for\, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nIn your search for answers to your life’s problems\, you will find the Lord. If you continue your search past problem solving missions\, you will get to the place where all you want is Him.  \nPsalm 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord\, that will I seek\, inquire for\, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life\, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate\, consider\, and inquire in His temple. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nIf you ask Him\, He’ll open the door to the path He has ordained for your life. No one can shut a door that the Lord has opened. The path the Lord wants you to walk through is the one leading directly to Him. Jacob’s life is a pattern for Christians. Jacob struggled with God his entire life. As he matured in faith\, he depended on God more and more. The turning point for Jacob came the last night of his journey back home from his search for a wife. He knew he was going to see Esau\, and the thought of that encounter troubled him (Genesis 32). When the night was over\, the Lord broke him\, and also made him new (Genesis 32:22-32). \nGenesis 32:28 And He said\, Your name shall be called no more Jacob [supplanter]\, but Israel [contender with God]; for you have contended and have power with God and with men and have prevailed. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n Is the situation you are dealing with the turning point for you? You give Him praise because He is Elohe Yakob [ē-lō-hē  ya-kōb](God of Jacob). What God did for Jacob; He can do for you.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have heard the saying\, Your arms are too short to box with God. Though that is true\, I know I have tried to wrestle with You on more than one occasion. It makes no sense and is disrespectful to seek You\, ask You for direction\, and then fight with You about being obedient. I am sorry. There have been pivotal moments in my life where I had to make a decision that radically changed who I was. The first one was to accept Your invitation to salvation. I have made many more. Many more are yet to be made before Jesus returns. I repent and I will continue to repent until I no longer wrestle with You; I simply obey. Transform my life from glory to glory\, from milestone to milestone. Change me until I look like\, walk like\, act like\, and talk like You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
