Do you say: “As soon as I get myself together\, I’m going to:” \n\nHonor God.\nGo to church.\nBecome a member of a ministry.\nGet saved.\nSeek the Lord more.\nTithe.\nDo personal Bible study.\n…\nASK THE LORD WHAT HE WANTS TO SAY TO YOU ABOUT TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL AND JOURNAL IT HERE: (Continue the list with your favorite excuses). \n\nHave you realized yet\, you cannot “get yourself together”? When you give yourself over to the Lord\, He will get you together. As you go to Him in prayer\, allow Him to wash over you. Submit your activities and your actions to Him. Yield to Him in humble obedience. He gets you together. He shows you what He wants you to change. He shows you what He wants you to stop doing or start doing. He then gives you the faith and the grace to submit to what He has shown you. If you allow Him to\, He will fix what needs to be fixed. \nPsalms 143:6\,8 I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee\, as a thirsty land. Selah. 8 Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. (KJV) \nPsalms 51:7 Purge me with hyssop\, and I shall be clean: wash me\, and I shall be whiter than snow. (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I repent for being proud\, self-involved\, and sinful. Because of those characteristics\, the devil could batter and torment me. I thank You for allowing me to bring my beaten self to You. Thank You for purging me and continuing to wash me. I will be white as snow. I thank You\, Father God\, for loving me and calling me to a place where I could come unashamed\, just as I was\, and You welcomed me with open arms. Thank You for continuing to guide me\, correct me\, and give me clarity. I saw some things I wanted to change about me; You wanted to keep. I also saw some things I wanted to keep\, which You either wanted to do some alterations to or get rid of all together. I joy that overflows because I have stopped trying to fix myself. Now I allow You to identify what I need to add\, allow You to change or take away. Then You do the work as I allow You to. Father\, I submit entirely to You for Your pruning\, molding\, and shaping.
