SUMMARY:Luke 12:35
DESCRIPTION:Luke 12:35 “Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning. (NIV) \nAre you ready? \nYour Lord and King is calling you to arms. \nEphesians 6:10 Now my beloved ones\, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. (TPT) \nYour Lord and King is admonishing you to be on alert for hostile forces. \nMatthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time\, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault\, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion]. (AMPC) \nYour Lord and King is sending you an invitation and an appeal. \n1 Peter 3:8-9 Finally\, all [of you] should be of one and the same mind (united in spirit)\, sympathizing [with one another]\, loving [each other] as brethren [of one household]\, compassionate and courteous (tenderhearted and humble). 9 Never return evil for evil or insult for insult (scolding\, tongue-lashing\, berating)\, but on the contrary blessing [praying for their welfare\, happiness\, and protection\, and truly pitying and loving them]. For know that to this you have been called\, that you may yourselves inherit a blessing [from God—that you may obtain a blessing as heirs\, bringing welfare and happiness and protection]. (AMPC) \nIf you are ready: \nYou will be prepared for any course of action set out by the word of God. This is the message to all who believe. There is no time to look in the Bible to see what scripture applies to your situation when you are in the middle of a fight. \nActs 8:34-35 The Ethiopian asked Philip\, “Please\, can you tell me who the prophet is speaking of? Is it himself or another man?” 35 Philip started with this passage and shared with him the wonderful message of Jesus. (TPT) \nYou will know what the word says. \n2 Timothy 3:16-17 Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth\, exposing our rebellion\, correcting our mistakes\, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. (MSG) \nYou will stand\,  just as Jesus did when the devil came to tempt Him. You will say with authority “it is written”. Eve did not know what the Lord said\, and the devil deceived her. If you are ready\, you will not suffer her same plight. \nColossians 4:6 Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant\, seasoned with salt\, so that you will know how to answer each one [who questions you]. (AMP) \nKnow your environment\, know your weapons\, and know your God! \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I want to be ready. I repent for the times I was not ready when the enemy came. Thank You for preparing me. I know if I fall prey to the enemy; it’s no one else’s fault\, it’s mine. You gave me Your word. My job is to study it and know it for myself. You sent the Holy Spirit as my comfort and my guide. My job is to follow where He leads. You have given me all the armor I need. My job is to put it on and keep it on. It is my choice and my job to take advantage of all the tools You’ve given me. I can be ready if I want to be. It is simple\, no one to blame\, no excuses. I just need to walk in the examples You have set\, adhere to the instructions You have given and worship You for the victory…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 20:22
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 20:22  But Jesus answered by saying to them\, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink from the bitter cup of suffering I am about to drink?” “Oh yes\,” they replied\, “we are able!” (NLT) \nAre you weary? \nThere is a motto said by the 1st Infantry Division: “No Mission Too Difficult\, No Sacrifice Too Great\, Duty First” You are in a “whatever it takes moment” every day of your life. Here are some scriptures that describe that commitment. \nMatthew 24:9 “Then they will hand you over to [endure] tribulation\, and will put you to death\, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.” (AMP) \nMatthew 20:22 Jesus replied\, “You don’t know what you are asking.” Then\, looking in the eyes of Jacob and John\, Jesus said\, “Are you prepared to drink from the cup of suffering that I am about to drink? And are you able to endure the baptism into death that I am about to endure?” (TPT) \nCan you drink of the cup that Jesus drank of and be baptized in His same baptism? The sons of thunder said that they were willing. Where were they after Jesus’ arrest? \nMatthew 26:56b Then all the disciples deserted Him and fled. (AMP) \nWhy weren’t both of them there when the ones who wanted Jesus crucified drug Him from judgement hall to judgment hall. \nJohn 18:15 Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. (AMP) \nWhy weren’t both of them at the cross? \nJohn 19:26 So Jesus\, seeing His mother\, and the disciple whom He loved (esteemed) standing near\, said to His mother\, “[Dear] woman\, look\, [here is] your son!” (AMP) \nIn John 18:15 and John 19:26\, the assumption is that the Apostle John was “the other disciple” and “the disciple who Jesus loved”. Not sure what happened to James\, but this just to let you know being a follower of Jesus is more than a notion. The good thing is\, you get all the information you need up front\, no surprises. Men will hate you for Jesus’ name sake. People will persecute you and call you everything they can think of except a beloved child of God. Please: \n\nDon’t give up when you are tired.\n\nMatthew 11:28-30 Come to Me\, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened\, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me\, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart\, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful\, good—not harsh\, hard\, sharp\, or pressing\, but comfortable\, gracious\, and pleasant)\, and My burden is light and easy to be borne. (AMPC) \n\nKeep trusting in the Lord when you are weak.\n\nIsaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. \nThey will run—never winded\, never weary. They will walk—never tired\, never faint. (TVT) \n\nDon’t be weary and think nothing will come of your work.\n\nGalatians 6:9-10 And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right\, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap\, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. 10 So then\, as occasion and opportunity open up to us\, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them\, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing\, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you\, the believers]. (AMPC) \nWhen you love what you do\, though it may test you\, drain you\, and sometimes frustrate you\, you won’t give up. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, sometimes I get a little tired. When I do\, You tell me time and time again\, “if I’m tired\, I’m not allowing You to do the work through me.” I repent for trying to do the work by myself. I don’t want to be weary. I don’t want to allow the weight of the things I experience to cause me to take back. I want to grow and learn from them. I want to be strengthened with every trial You help me get past. With every mountain\, You help me climb; with every battle\, You help me win; I have to remember it’s You\, not me. I must remember\, it is not about me\, never has been and never will be. When I lose sight of that truth\, waiting for my desired outcome makes me weary. Help me see each day is a new way to grow closer to You. Thank You for continuing to remind me I am just the pencil\, not the author…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
