Has the “20/20” or “Sixty Minutes” reports convinced you they are scammers and are all living in condos? Do you think the person will take your money and buy drugs? Sometimes it is hard to decide. You don’t know what to believe\, and you just don’t want to make a mistake. What do you do? Do you just keep it moving or do you listen for the Lord to direct you?  \n2 Corinthians 9:6-8 Now [remember] this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly\, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to others] will also reap generously [and be blessed]. 7 Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart\, not grudgingly or under compulsion\, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]. You may have to sacrifice your time\, talent\, skills\, and /or you may have to get involved on a deeper level. What will you do? \nPlease agree with me as I pray. During this time\, go into your secret place and praise Him for what He has done for you in the past; worship Him for Who He is\, honor Him for the opportunity to serve. The same should be true for you as a child of God.  \nPhilippians 2:12 My beloved ones\, just like you’ve always listened to everything I’ve taught you in the past\, I’m asking you now to keep following my instructions as though I were right there with you. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. It means you have great energy and enthusiasm in pursuit of the cause of Christ. It means you live like you love being a Christian and your passion for Christ is evident!  \nPhilippians 3:7-11 I once thought these things were valuable\, but now I consider them worthless because of what Christ has done. 8 Yes\, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else\, counting it all as garbage\, so that I could gain Christ 9 and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather\, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith. 10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him\, sharing in his death\, 11 so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead! (NLT) \nNormally\, the first thought that comes to mind when you hear the word peculiar is strange or bizarre. However\, that is not the right thinking. Jesus died\, giving you the opportunity to be God’s own possession. That’s what makes you distinctive and special\, set aside exclusively for Him.  \nJohn 15:16 You have not chosen Me\, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you\, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing\, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting\, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you. (AMP) \nSalvation made you peculiar. It may seem strange to the rest of the world if you live like you belong to God. However\, it is not strange to you. Your excitement about your place in the Lord causes you to do things that please Him\, amazing things\, extraordinary things\, peculiar things!  \nMark 16:17-18 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing\, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick\, and they shall recover. (KJV) \nYour passion for His work in and through you is what sustains your life. Be peculiar! \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I am peculiar\, and I thank You. Thank You for choosing me and setting me aside as Your own. I have sung “I belong to You”\, “I surrender all” and many others. I have said\, “You are my Lord and master.” As I seek You and study Your word\, I’m getting a new understanding of what those statements really mean. I repent for making my relationship with You mostly about what I need You to do for me and the problems I need You to solve. Thank You for the revelation. Your definition of our relationship means I truly belong to You. Your definition means my life is not mine to control and I repent for acting like it is. Your definition means I am available for You to do with me whatever You choose to do. I am to be salt and light\, to speak a word\, to provide encouragement\, and whatever else You may require. There is nothing I have gained\, no title or accolade that is higher than being Your servant. I want to be set aside for Your use. (TMB) \nAre you living a triumphant life? \nYou cannot deny the existence of sin\, neither can you deny what sin produces (1 John 1:8 and Romans 6:23). \nSometimes you might feel you are fighting a losing battle.  \nRomans 7:21-24 Here’s an important principle I’ve discovered: regardless of my desire to do the right thing\, it is clear that evil is never far away. 22 For deep down I am in happy agreement with God’s law; 23 but the rest of me does not concur. I see a very different principle at work in my bodily members\, and it is at war with my mind; I have become a prisoner in this war to the rule of sin in my body. 24 I am absolutely miserable! Is there anyone who can free me from this body where sin and death reign so supremely? (TVT) \nYou are not fighting a losing battle. You have grace.  \nTitus 2:11-12 God’s marvelous grace has manifested in person\, bringing salvation for everyone. 12 This same grace teaches us how to live each day as we turn our backs on ungodliness and indulgent lifestyles\, and it equips us to live self-controlled\, upright\, godly lives in this present age. (TPT) \nGrace is not just the unmerited favor of God that secures your place in heaven. Grace is also God’s empowerment for you to complete the task He has assigned to you. Grace is the sufficiency of God giving you victory. There is no waste of time or useless activity with Him. God uses everything you go through\, even what seems like defeat\, for your development\, maturity\, and perfection. There are no losing battles because Jesus conquered death\, hell\, and the grave (1 Corinthians 15:55 and Revelation 1:18). The battlefield is in your mind. Take authority over what you are thinking.  \n2 Corinthians 10:5 We are demolishing arguments and ideas\, every high-and-mighty philosophy that pits itself against the knowledge of the one true God. We are taking prisoners of every thought\, every emotion\, and subduing them into obedience to the Anointed One. (TVT) \nSpeak what the Father speaks about you and live in the power of His grace through obedience to His word. Then you will live victoriously and put the devil under your feet. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. DESCRIPTION:1 Kings 2:4 so that the Lord may fulfill His promise which He spoke regarding me\, saying\, ‘If your sons are careful about their way\, to walk before Me in truth with all their heart and all their soul\, you shall not be deprived of a man to occupy the throne of Israel.’ (New American Standard Bible) \nAre you seeing God’s promises come to pass? \nGod made David a promise. There were things David had to uphold if he was going to receive the promise. Do you think this scripture is only about David and not really about you? Are you wondering how this could apply to you? God’s promise to David was not for the by and by. It was something David could see come to pass in his lifetime. Do you have a “in-your-lifetime” promise the Lord has made to you? If you cannot remember any; here are a few.  \nMatthew 11:28 “Are you weary\, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life\, for I am your oasis”. (TPT) \nJeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you\,” says the Eternal\, “plans for peace\, not evil\, to give you a future and hope—never forget that”. (TVT) \nJohn 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled\, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] (AMP) \nIn order for you to see your promise\, you have the same requirements God gave to David. Take heed to your way\, walk before the Lord in truth\, and serve Him with your whole heart and soul.  \nLuke 18:29-30 “Yes\,” said Jesus\, “and you won’t regret it. No one who has sacrificed home\, spouse\, brothers and sisters\, parents\, children—whatever—will lose out. It will all come back multiplied many times over in your lifetime. And then the bonus of eternal life!” (MSG) \nHe is the same God\, yesterday\, today and forevermore. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You are Jehovah. I have seen Your promises to me come to pass\, and I thank You! Thank You for supplying my need and even some of my wants. Thank You for giving me rest when I feel weary\, and the burdens of life seem to be too much. Thank You for being there and hearing me when I call and showing me what is really going on. Thank You for reminding me things work out for “the” good and not always what I determine to be “my good”. Thank You for the plans You have for my life. Thank You for peace. All I needed to do was stop and look over my life. I see fulfilled promises. You keep fulfilling them because You are God and Your word does not fail. I repent for those days when I did not obey You every time You spoke\, not considering how I would grieve You. I am sorry for those times I did not walk before You in truth\, as if I could hide something from You. I apologize for not serving You with my whole heart and soul because I was trying to fit You in to my plans. I confess and thank You for forgiving me because in all those times\, You helped me out of the problems and tough situations I created because of my behavior. Please continue to work on me. Keep me on the path. Let Your power flow through me. I know my part is to continue to seek Your face and acknowledge You in all of my ways. DESCRIPTION:Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV) \nWhat is it you can’t do? \nThere is an ongoing debate whether qualifications are more important than experience. When you are looking at a position description\, what do you think? Ever said “I can’t do that\, or I don’t have that skill”? As you continue building your relationship with the Almighty\, your thinking will change. As you long for His presence\, you study\, worship\, and praise more and more. Then something happens. \nPsalm 18:28-29 God\, all at once you turned on a floodlight for me! You are the revelation-light in my darkness\, and in your brightness I can see the path ahead. 29 With you as my strength I can crush an enemy horde\, advancing through every stronghold that stands in front of me. (TPT) \nPsalm 18:29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. (KJV) \nYou wake up one day (today could be that day) and say\, “There is nothing I can’t do with Christ working for\, in and through me.” What a great mental state to have\, no matter what the situation\, to know you can do all things. It is not enough to say it\, however. Now you have to walk it out. \nPhilippians 4:6-7 Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day\, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life\, 7 then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding\, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ. (TPT) \nTake that job\, apply for that promotion or new position. Don’t allow the required qualifications\, on the paper\, to stop you. Allow God\, Who saved you\, to encourage you. By the way\, the same God will give you whatever you need to do the job. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, because of Who You are in me\, there is nothing I can’t do. The words are easy enough to say. I repent when I live like I can’t do all things with Your strength. Confessing this frailty liberates me and causes me to weep. All means all. What an amazing God You are. There is no obstacle I can’t leap over. I know Romans 8 refers to not being separated from Your love. There are many days when I ask if troubles\, pressures\, and problems stop me from accomplishing what You have ordained for my life? I agree with You and say in a loud voice\, No. You are giving me the confidence to say there is nothing I cannot do. If I really trust You and believe You\, I can manifest Your greatness in all that I do. I want to live my life like I believe. Thank You for showing me the path. The wonderful thing about the life of a Christian is: you don’t have to pretend you like your job; you should actually love your job!  \nEphesians 6:6-7 Don’t put on a show just because they are looking (as if you were a people pleaser); but as a slave of the Anointed\, do the will of God from your heart. 7 Serve them in good faith as if you were serving the Lord\, not men\, (TVT) \nThe job you are on and the people you work with are your assignment\, no matter where you are working. Whether you are in the permissive or perfect will of God\, you are there. If you are a believer\, God hired you; and He is in charge of Human Resources. (KJV) \nWhat are you asking God for? \nBecause you are in a war\, being refreshed and replenished is a constant need. Where do you get these needs fulfilled? You will find all you think you need and more in the secret place of the Most High God. The presence of the Lord is captivating\, overwhelming\, inspiring\, refilling\, and energizing all at the same time. When engulfed by His Spirit\, you are free. Do you know there is nothing you can’t do\, and nothing and no one can stop you\, as long as God is guiding\, covering\, and directing you? You may not have a testimony of God working things out in your life. Moses experienced God in ways that could only be described as miraculous as he took the forty-year journey from Egypt to the promised land. You can read Moses’ testimony in Psalms 91. Please take time to read it in its entirety. However\, here is an excerpt that highlights the point.  \nPsalm 91:14-15 For here is what the Lord has spoken to me: “Because you loved me\, delighted in me\, and have been loyal to my name\, I will greatly protect you. 15 I will answer your cry for help every time you pray\, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor.” (TPT) \nYour times of getting away to be with the Lord are most probably less frequent than they need to be. Therefore\, hold on to every one of those experiences. Do everything you can to carve out time for more of them. Those are the times when you ask God life-changing questions: “Father\, will You take me higher in You? Will You accept my offering as I surrender all of me? Will You let me know what You want me to do next?” Your passionate desire to please the Father has to ring from your heart and soul. Then you will ask for transforming things!   \nThis is what David asked of the Lord: \nPsalms 27:4 One thing I have asked of the Lord\, and that I will seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life\, To gaze upon the beauty [the delightful loveliness and majestic grandeur] of the Lord And to meditate in His temple. Usually\, one of the team members is being beaten down to the point they are about to lose. Then the dramatic “tagging” happens. Those rules do not govern your life in Christ.  \nExodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm. (AMP) \nIt is not a tag-team match. God does not allow you to get all beat up and then He steps in. He is always there with you.  \nPsalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength\, an ever-present help in trouble. You’re holding me\, fighting through me\, and bringing to pass what You have already purposed and predestined. You are omniscient; You know I’ve already won the victory. (TMB) \nAre you freely giving? \nIn Maslow’s hierarchy of needs\, the need to belong comes right after the need to have food and be safe. It is pretty important in the life of every human being. As a Christian\, you often seek to fulfill that need in church or in some Christian ministry\, group\, or club. Depending on where you are in your relationship with the Lord\, your need to belong could put you in a position where you compromise what you know is true just to be accepted by a person or the group. This is such a strategic tool used by the enemy. There is a lot of damage that people who are sincere\, just sincerely wrong\, can do. \nColossians 2:16-19 So don’t put up with anyone pressuring you in details of diet\, worship services\, or holy days. All those things are mere shadows cast before what was to come; the substance is Christ. 18-19 Don’t tolerate people who try to run your life\, ordering you to bow and scrape\, insisting that you join their obsession with angels and that you seek out visions. They’re a lot of hot air\, that’s all they are. They’re completely out of touch with the source of life\, Christ\, who puts us together in one piece\, whose very breath and blood flow through us. He is the Head and we are the body. We can grow up healthy in God only as he nourishes us. (MSG) \nJust remember\, You Are Free. You don’t have to agree with anyone on every issue. You can stand on what you believe. No one can require anything of you\, not your time\, talent\, money\, allegiance\, presence at events\, obedience\, etc. You are free.  \n1 John 2:27 As for you\, the anointing [the special gift\, the preparation] which you received from Him remains [permanently] in you\, and you have no need for anyone to teach you. But just as His anointing teaches you [giving you insight through the presence of the Holy Spirit] about all things\, and is true and is not a lie\, and just as His anointing has taught you\, you must remain in Him [being rooted in Him\, knit to Him]. I want to do what I do\, because I love You; not because I’m trying to gain footing in some place or with certain people. You continue to guide and direct me; unveiling what You have ordained for my life. I know my obedience to You must follow what You have spoken to me. I understand I can and should show my obedience to You through my experiences in whatever ministry or local church I’m assigned to. I also know You will show me how. (KJV) \nSecond\, take some time to reflect on what God has promised to be your future.  \nRevelation 21:3-4 and then I heard a loud voice from the throne\, saying\, “See! The tabernacle of God is among men\, and He will live among them\, and they will be His people\, and God Himself will be with them [as their God\,] 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish\, or crying\, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away.” (AMP) \nYou will stand washed\, clean\, without spot or blemish. You are the church Jesus is coming back for. There will be no remnants of what used to be in your life. There will not be any scars that normally remain after a wound heals\, reminding you of a past hurt. There is a burst of energy you should get just thinking about what God has prepared for you.  \nRevelation 19:1 AFTER THIS I heard what sounded like a mighty shout of a great crowd in heaven\, exclaiming\, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! If you look long enough\, you will probably find some seasoned saints\, those who have been saved for a long time. Sometimes\, the seasoned saints might inadvertently dismiss your input because of your youth. How do you and others define youth? Youth is a function of age. The time you have been alive measures age. The Bible refers to time in three different ways: \n\nChronos – meaning minutes and seconds\, or time as a measurable resource. \nHora  – meaning a certain or definite time or season fixed by natural law and returning with the revolving year. \nKairos – meaning God’s timing\, especially in terms of fulfilling the prophetic\, and completing His will and purposes.  \n\nKnow that the saints can measure your youth in Chronos\, Hora or Kairos time. They will say things like\, “when you have been on the battlefield as long as I have you will know.” Don’t let that hinder you.  \n2 Peter 3:8 Don’t imagine\, dear friends\, that God’s timetable is the same as ours; as the psalm says\, for with the Lord\, one day is like a thousand years\, and a thousand years is like one day. (TVT)  \nYou have to recognize what plot and trap the enemy is using to interfere with your passion\, and stop him. The Bible gives you instruction on what to do\, no matter how you measure your time with the Lord. \nIf Chronos: \nEphesians 5:15-16 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor\, purpose\, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil]\, not as the unwise\, but as wise [sensible\, intelligent\, discerning people]\, 16 making the very most of your time [on earth\, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence]\, because the days are [filled with] evil. Am I too young because someone else thinks You have not finished with my preparation and maturing yet? I am no longer concerned about what other people think when it comes to hearing Your voice. I will hold who You say I am and what You’ve done in my life to a higher esteem level. You have shown me I need to be excited about what You are doing and have done in my life. (KJV) \nAre you restoring in meekness? \nHave you ever been engaged in activity you knew was not glorifying to God or edifying to the Body of Christ and a brother/sister in the Lord saw you? How did the interaction play out? Do one of these examples describe it? \nOne\, if they were truly spiritual\, they came and talked to you about it\, and you felt the love of God as they spoke. You did not feel judged or dirty. You repented to the Lord\, and He restored you. \nRomans 15:1-2 Now\, those who are mature in their faith can easily be recognized\, for they don’t live to please themselves but have learned to patiently embrace others in their immaturity. 2 Our goal must be to empower others to do what is right and good for them\, and to bring them into spiritual maturity. (TPT) \nTwo\, they were judgmental and critical. You felt even if you stopped immediately and never returned to that behavior; that person and many others would always see you the same way. In essence\, the person made you feel you would never be clean.  \nRomans 7:18-19\, 24 For I know that nothing good lives in me\, that is\, in my flesh [my human nature\, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me\, but the doing of good is not. 19 For the good that I want to do\, I do not do\, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 24 Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and] set me free from this body of death [this corrupt\, mortal existence]? (AMP)  \nThree\, they said nothing to you at all. However\, you know they saw you.  \nMatthew 5:23-24 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar\, and there remember that your brother has something against you\, 24 leave your gift there before the altar\, and go your way. What do you do? \nJames 1:2-4 Consider it a sheer gift\, friends\, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure\, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed\, not deficient in any way. Now\, He did not curse it just because it did not have fruit. This was not the season for bearing fruit. He cursed it because it “looked” like it had fruit. Fruit usually comes before the leaves. When Jesus saw the leaves from a far off\, He thought there would be fruit. He was hungry and a tree with fruit would meet His need. Make sure you are not “pretending” to be someone who can meet a need. \nMatthew 23:27-28 Woe to you\, teachers of the law and Pharisees\, you hypocrites! You are like a grave that has been whitewashed. You look beautiful on the outside\, but on the inside\, you are full of moldering bones and decaying rot. 28 You appear\, at first blush\, to be righteous\, selfless\, and pure; but on the inside you are polluted\, sunk in hypocrisy and confusion and lawlessness. (TVT) \nNo matter how talented you are and how gifted you are\, without God\, you can do nothing. You can’t just appear to be full of fruit from far away. Someone is going to come to pick a piece of fruit off your tree because: \n\nThey may not understand a love that does not come with a price tag\, and they need divine love in all its varied expressions.\nThey may not know what life is like without despair\, and they need joy.\nThey may be full of conflict\, and they need peace that subdues.\nThey may not have had someone walk with them despite the life they have chosen\, and they need patience that endures.\nThey may only know cruelty and need to see kindness in action.\nThey may not know what goodness looks like\, and they need an example of a life full of virtue.\nThey may not have any faith\, or their faith wavers\, and they need to know there is a God Who provides faith that prevails.\nThey may have never experienced mercy. Your motivation has to come from the pure desire to be of service to someone else. \nCorinthians 9:7 Let each one give [thoughtfully and with purpose] just as he has decided in his heart\, not grudgingly or under compulsion\, for God loves a cheerful giver [and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift]. (AMP) \nWhen you give from your heart\, you can “feel” nothing happened because of what you did. The good thing is\, you won’t look back on your actions with regret. Doing whatever you want\, when you want\, how you want\, and with whom you want\, comes with a price. \nRomans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death; (KJV) \nIf you dance to the music\, you have to pay the piper. The price of unfettered freedom is corruption of the mind and body. DESCRIPTION:2 Corinthians 2:8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. (KJV) \nAre you managing forgiveness?  \nThere is no way around it. If you say you love the Lord\, you have to forgive. Here is what makes it tricky. Some offenses “seem” to affect you more than others\, carry more weight\, and do more damage. No matter how you feel\, you must extend the same grace you have received. Unforgiveness can really negatively affect you because the same pattern of forgives you use\, God uses toward you. \nMark 11:25 When you pray\, if you remember anyone who has wronged you\, forgive him so that God above can also forgive you. (TVT) \nMatthew 6:14-15 If you forgive people when they sin against you\, then your Father will forgive you when you sin against Him and when you sin against your neighbor. 15 But if you do not forgive your neighbors’ sins\, your Father will not forgive your sins. (TVT) \nUnforgiveness can prove to be worse and really dangerous territory for the one you choose not to forgive. The devil can get an advantage in his/her life. He can also use your unforgiveness to cause hard thoughts toward God and religion. He could drive that person to a place of despair and have him/her think Christians are\, and therefore God is\, unforgiving. Unforgiveness causes bitterness\, which the love of God does not shine through. Therefore\, how can you witness? \nHebrews 12:15 Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many. (TPT) \nAre you applying the standard God set for forgiveness? Do you really want to live with unforgiveness in your heart? Do you keep in mind that you don’t want to be overindulging of sin or too severe? Only God can help you navigate the answers to these questions. Please remember\, this is how you confirm the love of God lives in you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I confess managing forgiveness is sometimes hard for me. I think I forgive most things\, however there are some things that are really tough for me. I wanted to forgive\, yet I felt as though forgiving would give leeway to more of the same behavior. I thought it would give my stamp of approval\, and/or appear as if the behavior was not wrong. This was such a struggle for me. I repent because I know thinking like this is judgement\, and I placed myself in a position that is Yours alone. I repent for affecting anyone’s life negatively. 70×7 was just an example Jesus used to denote the number of times we should forgive. I know there is no actual number. I used to be concerned about forgiving and what it would mean for someone who didn’t seem to be remorseful. Did that mean there is no need for a standard? Was it okay for them to do whatever they wanted? Would they take my kindness as weakness? Was I giving them permission to repeat the behavior? Thank You for showing me I am not the record keeper. Thank You for helping me see forgiveness is for me\, not for the one who offended me. I want to live a life where a person can come to me and find love\, forgiveness\, and understanding. (KJV) \nHave you given up on someone? \nHave your friend\, relative or acquaintance adapted a lifestyle you know was ungodly. What was your response? Was your first thought\, it’s their life? Did you somehow eliminate your need to speak to them? Did you convince yourself you would be nosy or pushy if you spoke to them? Did you wonder what happened to the joy of their salvation\, their relationship with the Lord\, their passion for the things of God? So many things could have happened. Here are a few\, to take into consideration\, to stop you from getting too judgmental: \n\nThey kept letting their schedule rule instead of making sure they did not use God’s time for something else.\nThey set their heart on things that really don’t matter and the enemy lured them away.\nThe trials in their life caused them to become discouraged\, and they focused on those problems and took their eyes off Christ.\nThey wanted prosperity and wealth. They sought after that first and not the Kingdom of heaven.\nThey drift away from God because they have habitual sin in their lives that causes them to feel guilt when they show up at church\, reluctant when they pray\, and hypocritical when they read their Bible.\n\nHave you ever been there? What does the Bible instruct you to do? \nGalatians 6:1-2 My spiritual brothers and sisters\, if one of our faithful has fallen into a trap and is snared by sin\, don’t stand idle and watch his demise. Gently restore him\, being careful not to step into your own snare. 2 Shoulder each other’s burdens\, and then you will live as the law of the Anointed teaches us. (TVT) \nDon’t give up on them. Do battle on their behalf. Today it’s them\, tomorrow it could be you. Keep their names in God’s ear. Ask Him to use you in their lives. If He gives you an open door\, speak to them with love. Prepare yourself to celebrate their return. Always remember\, He did not give up on you. \nLuke 15:8-10 8 Jesus gave them another parable: “There once was a woman who had ten valuable silver coins. When she lost one of them\, she swept her entire house\, diligently searching every nook and cranny for that one lost coin. 9 When she finally found it\, she gathered all her friends and neighbors for a celebration\, telling them\, ‘Come and celebrate with me! I had lost my precious silver coin\, but now I’ve found it.’ 10 That’s the way God responds every time one lost sinner repents and turns to him. He says to all his angels\, ‘Let’s have a joyous celebration\, for the one who was lost\, I have found!’” (TPT) \nGod may use you as water that softens the ground\, in order for Him to bring the increase. It doesn’t matter who they are or where they are. God’s grace and mercy can reach them. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. How dare I deal with someone as if You cannot help them? Maybe they are not my assignment. I repent for giving up. You never give up. You continue to send someone to speak a word. I don’t have the right to decide if a person wants You or not. How could I know? I have often quoted the Bible\, “A tree is known by the fruit that it bears.” Somehow\, I thought that gave me the right to let go. I am sorry. You are God\, not me. There is nothing You can’t do. There is no one You can’t reach. You reached me. I repent. You have the responsibility to make sure the path you are walking on is what God desires. \nJeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you\,” says the Lord\, “plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster\, to give you a future and a hope”. (AMP) \nAlso\, God has designed your path to be as plain and as easy to follow as possible. That is the way God does it. No hoops to jump through. \nMatthew 11:29-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (MSG) \nAlso\, keep in mind other people are watching you and trying to walk the path you are walking. \nYou cannot allow obstructions to cause you or anyone else to stumble. \nHebrews 12:1 Therefore\, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness]\, stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us\, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us\, (AMP) \nWhat are obstructions? They are addictions\, distractions\, afflictions\, distresses\, etc. Ask the Lord to show you the obstructions in your life. When He does\, whatever they are\, get rid of them. They need to go. Don’t make excuses for your wrong behavior or it will just get worse and cause you to stumble on the path and possibly cause you to fall or fail. And the sadder part is\, it could most probably cause someone else to stumble as well. \nRomans 13:14 But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)\, and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). I repent for the times I walked without regard to Your instructions. Thank You for always being there for me. When I am weak\, You make me strong. When I struggle\, You give me clarity. That must have been what the prodigal son was thinking when he “came to himself.” He was not wondering how he could get his lavish life back. He just wanted to be in a place where he could get food\, shelter\, safety\, and security. These were the things he knew his Father provided for his slaves. He was OK to be a slave. The thing is\, there was no reason for him to live as a slave. He did not realize the relationship he had with his father did not end because he left. It was still intact. He was still his father’s son. It did not matter where he was or how he was currently living. When he returned home\, his father proved that to him (Luke 15:11–32). \nLuke 15:20 So the young son set off for home. From a long distance away\, his father saw him coming\, dressed as a beggar\, and great compassion swelled up in his heart for his son who was returning home. The father raced out to meet him\, swept him up in his arms\, hugged him dearly\, and kissed him over and over with tender love. In those times\, you have to go to God and ask Him to forgive you and clean up your mess. \nPsalm 34:17 When the righteous cry [for help]\, the Lord hears And rescues them from all their distress and troubles. (AMP) \nHow will He clean up for you? It may be\, He needs to withhold punishment you should get. He may need to bless you despite what you have done and give you what you don’t deserve. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort]\, but it is the [undeserved\, gracious] gift of God; 9 not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law]\, so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. (AMP) \nI am saved \nRomans 10:9-10 because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power\, authority\, and majesty as God]\, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead\, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is\, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly]\, resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. (AMP) \nI have eternal life. \n1 John 5:11 And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it]\, and this life is in His Son [resulting in our spiritual completeness\, and eternal companionship with Him]. 12 He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life. (AMP) \nI am not alone \nJohn 14:16 And I will ask the Father\, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter\, Advocate\, Intercessor—Counselor\, Strengthener\, Standby)\, to be with you forever (AMP) \nI am equipped \n2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction\, for conviction [of sin]\, for correction [of error and restoration to obedience]\, for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will\, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient\, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. (AMP) \nJesus died for my salvation and for all my sins: past\, present\, and future. \nHebrews 9:26 Otherwise\, He would have needed to suffer over and over since the foundation of the world; but now once for all at the consummation of the ages He has appeared and been publicly manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. (AMP) \nRemember\, your salvation is a function of your confession. It is not a feeling; it is a fact. To fight this attack and be successful\, you have to “know” Jesus is on your side. You are being changed into the image of God\, day by day. Some days you reflect on your walk\, you can see the hand of God and identify major changes have happened in your life. Some days when the enemy catches you in a moment of weakness and you will slip\, you see yourself as if no changes have happened at all. Remember\, in both instances\, this is as far as you can see. Always make sure you are looking with the eyes of the Father with a clear\, not distorted view. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, my salvation is a difficult thing for me to wrap my head around. I am not saved because of something I did. I am saved because of what Jesus did. No matter what I do\, I can’t undo what Jesus did. Though my heart is toward You\, sometimes I stumble; I falter; I slip and I behave in a way not indicative of someone who loves You. Father\, I thank You I’m not lost in those moments. You don’t throw me away. Jesus died and made forgiveness available to me always. I just have to ask. Jesus bought and paid for my forgiveness with His death on the cross. I just needed to repent. I can’t really understand how or why. I can only say thank You. I will not allow the enemy to convince me You would turn me away. I will especially not allow the enemy to convince me I am not really Yours. He will not stop me from doing what You have called me to do with lies about who I am and what I possess through salvation. I am saved! I will continue to come to You and confess my wrongs. I will continue to seek You and thank You.
