When the enemy seems to attack from all sides\, there are things you need to remind yourself of.  \n\nYour God is the Almighty God; do not be afraid.\n\nIsaiah 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear]\, for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed\, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties\, yes\, I will help you; yes\, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. (AMPC) \n\nGod will sustain you; it does not matter how it looks.\n\nPsalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip\, fall\, or fail). (AMPC) \n\nGod is using your situation for “the” good.\n\nRomans 8:28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God\, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (AMP) \n\nGod is at work; just trust Him and wait. You will make it through.\n\nIsaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. You worship. \nPhilippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight\, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say\, Rejoice! (AMPC) \nPsalm 118:24 This is the day of the Lord’s victory; let us be happy\, let us celebrate! (GNT) \nIf you worship\, the enemy can’t cause you to see your circumstances from his perspective. You will always see them from the Father’s perspective\, because worship focuses on your Lord and King. To see God in all things\, you have to keep your mind on Him.  \nIsaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you\, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (NLT) \nAs you go through your trials\, your ups and your downs\, be willing to look for God. You must believe God has a plan and whatever situation you are in is a part of it. You must understand His love for you. If you do\, you will find Him and see Him at work\, then you will worship. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, for a long time I struggled with 1 Thessalonians 5:18\, “In all things give thanks.” I realized I was struggling because I could not accept what the passage was asking. I thought if I said “for all things\,” that would be better. When I changed what I said\, I got some relief\, however\, I still had struggles. I repent for trying to make it easier for me. I should have come to You and accepted Your will. You have taught me it doesn’t really matter whether I am thanking You while I am going through or if I am thanking You because I am going through; You are at work. I have to see You in every situation in my life. I have to know You have all things under control. Sometimes the situations are tough. Sometimes my heart is broken. Sometimes tears roll down my face. Thank You for showing me all of those are the natural responses to my situation. The spiritual response\, to any state I am in\, is to remember You love me and give You thanks. Thank You for the tears. I can cry. I can feel the hurt. It is okay. Jesus wept. I need to grow from my experiences\, which I won’t do if I murmur and complain about them. Your hand is on my life. You have a plan for me. The conclusion of the matter is on the other side of all these situations. I see You at work. I will give thanks\, in all things\, for all things\, about all things and any other reason I can give You thanks for I must always remember. nothing comes into my life that has not been filtered through Your hands. Not to discuss your problems or to vent about some drama filled encounter; just to say our God is mighty; our God is awesome.  \nPsalm 99:5 Exalt the Lord our God And worship at His footstool; Holy is He. (AMP) \nYour sole purpose for coming together is to prostrate yourselves before God as you meditate on who He is.  \nPsalm 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; Tremble [in submissive wonder] before Him\, all the earth. (AMP) \nWhat a wonderful experience that would be. Practicing what you will do in heaven. \nRevelation 4:10-11The twenty-four elders fell prostrate before the One seated on the throne\, worshiped the One who lives throughout all the ages\, cast their golden wreaths before the throne\, and chanted to Him. I have invited people to church\, to Bible study\, even to prayer. I had never invited someone to worship with me. Because of this day\, I asked someone to spend time with me talking about You\, magnifying You\, and exalting You. I told them\, “Come and worship with me. I want us to bow before the Father\, love on Him and give Him what He is due”. I was excited just thinking about it. I was anticipating Your presence resting on us. I had the experience\, and it was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. Thank You for placing the desire in my heart. Thank You for putting everything in place. You were setting me up to be blessed\, and You blessed us\, exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think. DESCRIPTION:Colossians 2:18 Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels\, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud. (NLT) \nAre you humble enough? \nSometimes the Lord will use you in an amazing and truly powerful way. It should not shock or mystify you when God speaks through you to bring a word of prophecy and it changes someone’s life\, or when God uses you to lay hands on someone to heal them\, and/or when God uses you to pray for someone’s deliverance.  \nJohn 14:12 I assure you and most solemnly say to you\, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach]\, because I am going to the Father. (AMP) \nYou should\, however\, remember you are not relying on yourself; it is God. Keep in mind\, your anointing comes from God.  \n1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Now there are many kinds of grace gifts\, but they are all from the same Spirit. 5 There are many different ways to serve\, but they’re all directed by the same Lord. 6 There are many amazing working gifts in the church\, but it is the same God who energizes them all in all who have the gifts. 7 Each believer has received a gift that manifests the Spirit’s power and presence. That gift is given for the good of the whole community. (TVT) \nYou have to be careful you are not pulled into a self-glorifying and ultimately self-gratifying spiral. The lack of humility can disguise itself in your need to evaluate and identify the shortcomings of others. When humility is absent\, pride is present. Instead of being supportive and looking for ways to help\, pride will cause you to be judgmental and critical.  \nRomans 12:3 God has given me grace to speak a warning about pride. I would ask each of you to be emptied of self-promotion and not create a false image of your importance. Instead\, honestly assess your worth by using your God-given faith as the standard of measurement\, and then you will see your true value with an appropriate self-esteem. The Passion Translation \nIf you become proud\, it isn’t enough to prophesy to one person. The next thing has to be bigger and better. \nProverbs 16:18 Your boast becomes a prophecy of a future failure. The higher you lift yourself up in pride\, the harder you’ll fall in disgrace. (TPT) \nIf you keep moving along this path\, you will get to the point where someone can call on the phone and get a prophecy on the spot\, for a small fee. Or there will always be an offering attached to the words God gives to you in the forms of lines for various amounts of money\, cloths or other items to buy\, pledges\, etc. Don’t become a circus act or a sideshow where someone can catch your performance at the church. God gave you the gifts and abilities you have to bless\, not for you to create a name for yourself and not for you to monetize. \nMatthew 10:8 Cure the sick\, raise the dead\, cleanse the lepers\, drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received\, freely (without charge) give. (AMPC) \nUnfortunately\, when you get to this place\, everything is forced\, and flesh driven. You have an audience and what you give will cost them their money\, their freedom and sadly their worship. You are the franchise player\, you are the act. You focus on the gift and not the Giver. However\, what God requires does not change. What you are doing may appear to be good or moral\, when truly it is not. The amazing thing is\, you will probably help someone because of their faith. That’s why it’s monumentally important to stay in the presence of God\, in order to walk in humility and not pride.  \nProverbs 22:4 The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. (AMPC) \nIf you ask Him to\, God will keep you humble. He will help you remain centered on Him. \n1 Peter 5:5b-6  Yea\, all of you be subject one to another\, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud\, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God\, that he may exalt you in due time: (KJV) \nThe Father uses humanity\, an undeserving humanity\, to manifest Himself to all who live on this earth. He will make sure the lost will be found. He has a reward for you if  you remain humble. When your daily pursuit and desire is to remain humble\, the enemy will not convince you to speak about the lack in others because you think more highly of yourself than you should. Also\, he cannot trick you into prostituting your anointing. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, it is a blessing to be used by You. It is an honor to speak into the lives of Your people individually or collectively and see Your will done. To be counted worthy by You\, for any task\, is the greatest blessing any believer can have. The enemy\, being the enemy\, wants to challenge the work You do through me and he is unrelenting. He also wants to\, if he can\, defile what You are doing in my life. I repent for any time I thought I deserved any position\, title or place because of the work You did through me. I will make sure I remain humble. You have humbled me before and I don’t want You to have to humble me anymore. I know what it feels like to be broken. I remember when I asked You not to break me anymore. I promised You I would not willfully and knowingly disobey You. I meant it and You have helped me keep my promise to You. I know when I am skirting the edge and I quickly repent in that moment. Thank You for reeling me back in. I want to be a vessel fit for Your use. Fitness has to do with me being humble. It is not me; the work is being done by You\, I’m just a tool. (KJV) \nCan you worship in tough times? \nHave you or someone you know experienced the loss of someone very close\, a devastation in life\, and/or destruction of an idea or thing that was important? Whether it is the loss of a person\, a friendship or something else important\, the grieving process is necessary. It promotes healing. \nPsalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]. (AMP) \nEach person handles grief in his or her own way. Some have prolonged grief in reaction to the loss\, which can last for a year or more. Sometimes grief affects close relationships\, disrupts beliefs\, causes anger and the inability to function. Most counselors would consider it inconsiderate and insensitive to require a person to “get over it.”  \n2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ\, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort\, 4 who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble\, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (AMP) \nWhat did Job do after he heard about all the tragedies that happened to his family? He did what was tradition during those times. He tore his garment\, which represented his broken heart and overwhelming sorrow. Then he did something most people would find difficult to do. He worshiped. He didn’t hide himself in his room. He didn’t say\, “Why me?” \nJob 1:21 He said\, “Naked (without possessions) I came [into this world] from my mother’s womb\, And naked I will return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (AMP) \nAs a believer\, you know that there will be tough times.  \nJob 14:1We are all born weak and helpless. All lead the same short\, troubled life. (GNT) \nHowever\, you also know He is there with you\, no matter what type of hardship you face. \nPsalms 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. (KJV) \nIt takes a being connected to and cultivating a relationship with the Father for you to worship when you think you’ve lost all you know and all you have.  \nPsalm 42:5 So then\, my soul\, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God\, your Savior. For no matter what\, I will still sing with praise\, for you are my saving grace! (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I would like to say when I have times of difficulty\, hardship\, and loss\, my first response is to worship. I repent because I  know that’s not always true. Yet\, I have hope. I can have a relationship with You where I will worship when things are going wrong. Thank You for the revelation and the transformation. My relationship with You is no longer selfish. I honor You. I accept that everything in my life will not always go my way. I am connected to You and I exalt Your sovereignty above my desire in all things. I will always keep in mind that You are my Lord and King\, and You are due my worship. Thank You for reminding me You don’t cease to be who You are simply because something devastating has happened to me. You are still God. I will continue to seek You\, to study and be in Your presence. As I do\, my trust and faith in You will get stronger and stronger. Gratitude is the natural response when someone blesses your heart; lifts your burdens; or shines a light for you to see as you walk through the tunnel. Though it is human nature\, it is your responsibility to make sure you don’t deify the speaker. Regardless of charisma\, speaking skills\, or any other admirable quality\, the messenger is just like you.  \nIsaiah 2:22 Stop regarding man\, whose breath [of life] is in his nostrils [for so little time]; For why should he be esteemed? (AMP) \nWhen you put your faith and trust in man\, you set yourself up to be letdown. Human beings will always disappoint you; no matter who they are or what their intentions may be.  \nMatthew 23:9 Don’t set people up as experts over your life\, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father\, and he’s in heaven. (MSG) \nYou can be grateful for the one who brought the word. However\, you have to be careful to worship God\, the One Who sent the word. \nMatthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him\, Get thee hence\, Satan: for it is written\, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God\, and him only shalt thou serve. (KJV) \nThe preacher was obedient to hear and willing to speak. You should pray for them because you want them to continue to preach the word\, exhort\, and pray. You don’t worship them; you glorify God. You can and should thank the Lord for the word and the messenger who brought the word. \n1 Peter 4:11 Those who preach must preach God’s messages; those who serve must serve with the strength that God gives them\, so that in all things praise may be given to God through Jesus Christ\, to whom belong glory and power forever and ever. (AMPC) \nAs you look around\, yes\, there are senseless deaths\, newer and more devastating diseases\, wars outside and inside the country\, more opportunities to cater to any and every fleshly lust imaginable. Those who worship money and do not honor God for His blessings seem to be victorious. It may appear as if the devil is winning.  \nJeremiah 12:1 You\, O Lord are [uncompromisingly] righteous and consistently just when I plead my case with You; Yet let me discuss issues of justice with You: Why has the way of the wicked prospered? Why are those who deal in treachery (deceit) at ease and thriving? (AMP) \nThere may even be times when you feel mistreated because you name the name of Christ. You may also feel as if you are being constantly tested; the enemy is trying to see if there is something he could do to make you turn your back on God. Well\, you are right\, on both counts.  \n1 Peter 4:12-13 Beloved friends\, if life gets extremely difficult\, with many tests\, don’t be bewildered as though something strange were overwhelming you. 13 Instead\, continue to rejoice\, for you\, in a measure\, have shared in the sufferings of the Anointed One so that you can share in the revelation of his glory and celebrate with even greater gladness! I repent for thinking if I don’t read or listen to the news\, I would be fine. You have taught me I need to know what is being said\, so I will know how to pray. Now I read or listen to what is going on\, and I pray. I am not afraid\, worried or distressed. Instead\, I give You thanks. I know You have the victory. The news only gives the information they want us to have to generate a specific response. It is up to me to bombard heaven on behalf of those in the story. I also will tell the end of the story; You win. It does not matter what the devil tried to do. It does not matter how the reporters’ story shows his victory. You have the final say. This month\, there are some particular days that describe worship in great detail (November 14th  and 21st).    \nOne may always consult Webster’s Dictionary for the precise meaning of worship (adore\, idolize\, esteem worthy\, reverence\, homage\, etc.). Yet truly defining worship proves more difficult because it is both an attitude and an act.       (Baker’s Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology) \nAs we previously discussed\, if you are not saved\, you cannot worship because you don’t “know” who God is. The salvation work of the cross births worship in one’s life. Once saved\, you show your worship in your speaking\, listening\, doing\, and being. Your worship will express: \n\nWhat is in your heart concerning God.\n\nPsalm 99:9 Lift up the Eternal our God in your hearts\, and celebrate His goodness at His holy mountain\, \nfor the Eternal our God is holy\, perfect and exalted in His power. (KJV) \n\nWhat you do for God. \n\nRomans 12:1 Beloved friends\, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred\, living sacrifices. And live in holiness\, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. The reason the Lord told Jeremiah not to diminish any part of what He said is because He knew Jeremiah. And he knows you. You can’t water it down because you think you might hurt someone’s feelings. You can’t leave off parts because you think they won’t believe you.  \nDeuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you\, nor take away from it\, so that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you. My major concerns should have been\, will the people hear You speaking in the word I give;  will they understand what You are requiring them to do; and will the word bless and honor You? It will accomplish what You sent it out to do. (HCSB) \nDo you have idols in your life? \nAt first thought\, the answer to that question will undoubtedly be no because you are thinking about the idols referred to in the Old Testament. \nExodus 20:4 You are not to make any idol or image of other gods. In fact\, you are not to make an image of anything in the heavens above\, on the earth below\, or in the waters beneath. (TVT) \nBefore you stick out your chest\, give consideration to this idea. You might say easily say you don’t worship Krishna\, some statue\, Buddha\, etc. However\, do you worship stuff? You do not carve all idols out of material. An idol can also be a person or thing that you treasure\, place above others\, and ultimately that you worship.  \nLuke 12:34 “Where you deposit your treasure\, that is where you fix your thoughts—and your heart will long to be there also.” (TPT) \nDo you constantly talk about what you have? Can you look at an item and tell who the designer is\, how much it cost\, how exclusive it is\, etc. Do you feel better or more important because you carry/wear the latest design? Do you have cars no one can ride it? Do you have houses no one can visit? Is your family untouchable? If so\, consider the probability these things have become your gods. If the things you seek\, those that are most important to you\, are only valuable on earth; it’s time to change.  \nColossians 3:1-2 Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life\, sharing in His resurrection from the dead]\, keep seeking the things that are above\, where Christ is\, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things]\, not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. (AMP) \nWhen you talk about possessions more than you talk about God; that is an indication of a problem. You have to ask yourself\, do you have stuff or does stuff have you?  \nThe last set of tough questions are\, do your thoughts always come back to you; how you were treated\, how something affected you\, what someone did or did not say to you\, for you or about you? Did it ever occur to you that you are worshipping you? If you haven’t stopped to think about these things; take a moment and do it now. \n2 Timothy 3:1-2 But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce and difficult for the people of God. 2 People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly. (TPT) \nWorship is extravagant respect for\, admiration for\, or devotion to an object/person you esteem. Ask the Lord to help you decide who or what you are worshipping. \n1 John 2:16-17 For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh\, the allurement of the things of the world\, and the obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world. 17 This world and its desires are in the process of passing away\, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. Anything I pay homage to\, anything I value more than You\, is an idol in my life. It would have been great if there was a sign saying\, “down this path is an idol” or maybe there could be a buzzer\, siren\, or warning.  Unfortunately\, that is not the case. It pains me to think I ever worshipped anything or anyone more than You. However\, I know I did\, deliberately or unknowingly\, and I repent. Thank You for delivering me from idol worship. Hallelujah\, I can truly say\, there is nothing in my life more important than You. There’s no person I want to talk to more than I want to talk to You. There’s no person I want to talk about more than I want to talk about You. Thank You for helping me take a long look at myself. There are many times when I’ve gone to the altar when I heard that song. Even when I sing it\, it makes me focus on what You require. I repent for every time I went to the altar with selfish motives. I repent for singing it and not living it when I wanted something to go my way. It is so hypocritical to say I believe You will handle all things and then act like You won’t. Also\, You have taught me when I bring something to You\, I should leave it with You and worship. There is such a peace when I place my life in Your hands. I know it may seem like I am doing nothing. However\, it is not doing nothing. It is doing the best and only something that I can do. Give it to You and trust You to handle it. I desire to live my life knowing it is in Your hands. Do you look for Scriptures you can use to broaden the interpretation of for your benefit? Do you convince yourself you walk in the authority and power of God\, and no one has the right to question you? If your answer is yes\, to any of those questions\, you have taken the wrong road.  \nJohn 5:31 If I stand as the lone witness to My true identity\, then I can be dismissed as a liar. Turn around\, and go back to the place where the detour happened. The Father did not move\, you did. Continue to seek the Lord. You do not have the power to discover Divine truth\, moral obligation\, nor do you have the wisdom to govern yourself\, without God. You will only end up dishonoring God. Bow down and submit yourself to the Lord. \nPsalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart\, O God\, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nGod is able to help you walk so that you receive all the blessings He has promised those who believe in Him and help you accomplish everything He has commanded you to do (Philippians 2:13). Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know I have been down some paths in my search for You and trying to be used by You. So many of them were of my own making because I was so sure I understood what You wanted from me. I was wrong and I repent again\, even though my repentance at the time brought me back to You. A great many of the paths I took pulled me away from You instead of toward You. I know it was because I knew just enough to be dangerous. I knew Your word. There was an evident anointing on my life. However\, my experience with You\, my application and my presentation of the word needed a lot of work. I was worshipping the creation instead of the Creator; I repent again just thinking about it. Thank You for being right there. I am thankful You fixed the damage I caused. You caught me when I fell. You picked me up\, brushed me off and told me to try it again. DESCRIPTION:Genesis 22:5 And Abraham said to his young men\, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship\, and we will come back to you.” (NKJV) \nDo you trust God with your life? \nThis passage is often used to describe Jehovah Jireh. What a story! When Abraham received his command from God; the Bible does not say he stopped and asked God why.  \nGenesis 22:2-3 Then He said\, “Take now your son\, your only son Isaac\, whom you love\, and go to the land of Moriah\, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey\,… and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. (New King James Version NKJV) \nIt does not record where He prayed for the life of his son like he did for Sodom and Gomorrah. Interestingly enough\, he told his servants: he and his son were going to worship\, and they were coming back. Before Abraham got to the Jehovah Jireh place in his life; he had to have already been in a place of faith and trust.  \nHebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out\, not knowing where he was going. (New King James Version NKJV) \nNow\, maybe Abraham thought God would not require Isaac’s life. He may have even told himself\, if God accepted his sacrifice\, He would then resurrect Isaac. Though he may not have known how God was going to do it\, he was coming back with his son. Abraham was going to the top of the mountain to prostrate himself before God and honor Him for being the one true God. Abraham was going to worship\, knowing Isaac was to die.  \nGenesis 22:5b “The lad and I will go yonder and worship.” (New King James Version NKJV) \nIsaac asked his father where the lamb was for the burnt offering (Genesis 22:7). Abraham at that time was over 100 years old and Isaac was a teenager. Isaac had much greater strength and agility and would have given Abraham problems if he did not voluntarily obey and allow himself to be the sacrifice. Yet the passage indicates that Isaac did comply and permitted himself to be placed on the altar\, bound and positioned to be sacrificed (Genesis 22:9). Isaac submitted in total obedience to his father’s request of him. In that moment\, he trusted his God\, not just his father’s God. Abraham was not the only one being tested\, Isaac was as well. Isaac had to have a full understanding\, reverential awe for\, and total trust in the God he served.  \nPsalms 9:10 And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You\, for You\, Lord\, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nWhat about you? Are you willing to give up something that you’ve prayed for\, labored for\, and fasted for if God asks you (Mark 10:21)? Will you only say yes if you have the promise that you will get it back or something better like Job did (Job 42:12)? Will you give up your life (Mark 8:35)? Do you have the faith in God and the trust that if He’s asking you for it\, there is a higher purpose (Romans 8:28)? Is trust really trust if it’s not tested (James 1:2-3)?  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, God\, I have told You so many times that I trust You with my life. Because of this devotional\, I had to stop\, reflect on what that statement really means\, and repent for being so casual about it. There are so many situations/circumstances that have happened where my trust was challenged. Sometimes I met the challenge and sometimes I did not. There will be more in my future. I repent for not taking that statement more seriously. I have never had to face the greatest challenge\, to decide if I would give up my life. Do I trust You with my life so much that I am willing to die believing in Your word? I wish I could say yes\, without thought and without pause. Father\, I have to say\, right now\, the only way I’ll know for sure\, is to be in that situation. Please do what You need to do in me to strengthen my faith and trust because I know I need it. How does a person choose to be a martyr? Do they know they are a martyr before it is time for them to die? I don’t know. I believe I walk close to You\, however\, I have to be honest with You. Which by the way there’s no reason not to because You know what’s in my heart. I think I would be shaking all over\, crying and pleading for my life. I pray I am not ever put in that position. He will use my fleshly desires to convince me joy is not enough\, or I’m not valuable to You\, or You don’t love me\, or so many other lies he has in his arsenal to trick me. I submit to You in worship. I believe and trust You to guide me\, my thoughts and my actions. I have held the reins of my life and I have made bad choices. I willingly give the reins to You. You are the master of my fate and the keeper of my soul. It is wonderful to have a God who hears you and is listening to you. You have shown me\, time and time again\, if You had given me what I wanted\, I would not have been able to handle it or I would have been in a bigger mess than I was in. Since you don’t have all the information needed\, your interference can make things worse. Read the story of Sarah and Hagar (Genesis 16-18). You can choose to be importune\, as the friend in Luke 11:5-8 (* read it below). Ultimately\, you just have to wait. Waiting on God is only hard if you decide it is. God is faithful\, that should make the wait easy.  \nIsaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run\, and not be weary; and they shall walk\, and not faint. (KJV) \nThe problem you see as an emergency is just a steppingstone on the path. You must not waste time worrying. \nEphesians 5:15-16 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor\, purpose\, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil]\, not as the unwise\, but as wise [sensible\, intelligent\, discerning people]\, 16 making the very most of your time [on earth\, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence]\, because the days are [filled with] evil. I have also come to You\, more times than I can count\, to ask You for the solution\, without waiting to hear Your response. Again\, I did what “I thought” was the right thing for me to do. I repented in those times and I will keep repenting until those times and situations are no more. Whenever I tell You waiting is hard; You show me I made waiting hard. I spent too much time trying to fix the situation myself before I brought it to You. All the while\, I was making things worse for me. When I was finally at the end of me\, I brought You “my emergency”. Now\, I look at my life differently. You have always had an unchanging\, expected end for my life. No matter what I may perceive to be a problem or an emergency\, Jeremiah 29:11 tells me\, You have a plan. I may not know all the details of the plan\, however\, I know You are the Planner. I know who You are. When I pray\, continue to help me wait for Your plan to unfold. I will come to You with everything I face. I repent for trying to do Your job. In addition\, you want your friends\, loved ones and those whose opinion matters to you\, to believe you. What if it does not run smoothly (make sure you have God’s definition of smooth) and no one believes you? It may seem like you are standing alone. There are also some examples of that in the bible: \n\nJoseph (Genesis 37:1-44:9) it took 13 years from the dream to fulfillment.\nNoah (Genesis 6:11–9:19) it took 120 years for the request to build the ark until the flood.\n\nIf you are sure God has called you to complete a task\, even though is not happening immediately\, you must have faith.  \n\nYou can’t be moved by what you see.\n\n2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things\, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. When they don’t support my decision or if they don’t understand me\, sometimes it makes me wonder if I actually heard You. I repent for wanting to trust them more than I was trusting Your Spirit within me. I need Your strength and Your grace. Not just to do a particular task You’ve assigned to me; I need You every day. I don’t want to wrestle with myself\, with others\, and especially not with You. You taught me\, a long time ago\, it is okay to miss You. It’s okay to believe\, with all my heart\, I heard You and be truly wrong. Missing You helps me fine tune my ability to hear You clearer. However\, because you are a child of God\, He is always there and will talk to you about everything. And really\, the natural instinct should not govern your actions anymore. You should have a new spiritual nature. \nJohn 10:27 My sheep hear my voice\, and I know them\, and they follow me: (KJV) \nThe spiritual man seeks God for solutions. Why? Because God is omniscient\, and He has the answers to every situation in your life. Now the answers He has may not be the ones you want. Trust Him\, He knows what’s best. (NKJV) \nWho are you getting your answers from? \nWhen you don’t know what to do\, yet you know something needs to be done\, who do you ask first. Do you go to the people you believe to be spiritual or knowledgeable? Do you talk to your friends\, prayer partner\, spiritual mentor\, pastor\, etc.? There is nothing wrong with that. God placed these people in your life to be a support to you. Sometimes you can have too much support. You can have so many different answers to the same question that you struggle with what to believe. Why not go directly to the source? Do you remember to ask God\, first? \nPsalms 121:1-2 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord\, Who made heaven and earth. (New King James Version NKJV) \nThe Lord you serve is omniscient. The wisdom God gives is unaffected by the status of your problem\, what you feel\, or what you see. Here are some reasons you ask God for the answers:  \n\nGod will help you through your situation without being condescending or scolding you. \n\nJames 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance]\, he is to ask of [our benevolent] God\, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame\, and it will be given to him. (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nGod doesn’t just have wisdom\, He is wisdom.\n\nProverbs 2:6 Wisdom is a gift from a generous God\, and every word he speaks is full of revelation and becomes a fountain of understanding within you. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nYou know He hears you and will answer you because you are living the life He has called you to live.\n\n1 John 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him\, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. I know there are times when I have taken that scripture to an extreme limit. When I did\, the safety the counsel was supposed to provide to me\, only created confusion. There were too many voices. Too many people trying to help me understand what was going on and tell me how to deal with it. I thank You because You are there. I repent for not coming to You first. You have the answers. I don’t have to guess. I don’t have to figure it out. All I have to do is ask You. The problem was\, by the time I asked You I could not hear what You were saying. My spirit and my mind was cluttered with the things everyone else\, including myself\, had said. You taught me I needed to be still. Through the years\, I have learned how to wait and how to be still in Your presence. You have taught me a decision made in uncertainty is destined to be the wrong one. You have taught me acting out of emergency will cost me. Thank You for teaching me through my experiences and tests that You know what’s best for me. Is it because The Father\, your Shepard\, has failed to take care of you? Absolutely not! Even though you may have to cry and sometimes walk in a place where you cannot “see” God at work\, you must have confidence.  \nDaniel 10:12 Then he said to me\, “Do not be afraid\, Daniel\, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God\, your words were heard\, and I have come in response to your words. (American Standard Bible ASB)  \nGod is not wishy-washy. He does not take pleasure in your distress. The foundation of your relationship with God is you know He hears you. Take on the attitude of a sheep. Whatever is going on in your life\, God is at work for the good of them who love God\, and are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28) This is not a promise that He is going to work it out “your good” as you see it. He is going to work it out for “the good” that His has purposed and planned for all those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. That slight difference in wording should change what you expect from God in a major way. He may not do the specific thing you asked\, however\, He is in control. God looks after you like a shepherd looks after his sheep. Because you have God’s promise\, you don’t have to worry. I have also found it is in my best interest not to think or decide on my own; I cannot survive without You; and I don’t want to live independently from You. I will gladly  be Your sheep. Like them\, I want to depend on the Shepherd entirely. Like them\, I don’t want to be left alone. You are my Shepard; You take care of me and You never leave me alone. You are always watching over me. I may not always acknowledge or appreciate the provisions You make for me every day and I repent for that. What do you bring?  \n\nDo you say prayers that identify your sin? \nDo you make promises not to sin again and ask for forgiveness? \nDo you cry sometimes? \nDo you come seeking mercy because the Holy Spirit convicted you (you got caught)? \n\nIf you do any or all these things\, you were either taught to\, read it\, or modeled your prayers after ones you have heard. Remember\, God is the Almighty God. He looks directly into your heart. Your words may fool people\, however\, you cannot fool God. Make sure you are not just going through the motions. That behavior only satisfies your flesh; it doesn’t please God. Those types of prayers are just performance and show no reverence. Give God what is deserving of the Creator of heaven of earth.  \nPsalms 51:16-17  For You do not desire sacrifice\, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit\, A broken and a contrite heart — These\, O God\, You will not despise. (New King James Version NKJV) \nThe only acceptable thing to bring the Father is a heart broken with sorrow because of the sin. You come to him boldly\, yet humbly giving Him praise\, worship\, and honor for who He is. Remember\, He is the creator of the universe.  \nMatthew 6:9-13 Pray like this: “Our Beloved Father\, dwelling in the heavenly realms\, may the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn.10 Manifest your kingdom realm\, and cause your every purpose to be fulfilled on earth\, as it is in heaven.” (The Passion Translation TPT) \nYou don’t come because you got caught and you are trying to escape the consequences. You come to repent because of conviction and get help to turn away from unacceptable behavior and keep turning to God.  \nPsalm 51:1-2 God\, give me mercy from your fountain of forgiveness! I know your abundant love is enough to wash away my guilt. Because your compassion is so great\, away this shameful guilt of sin. Forgive the full extent of my rebellious ways\, and erase this deep stain on my conscience. I know I cannot honestly say each time I was sorry about what happened. I think mostly I was sorry about the outcome. If the situation had not gone to the left\, I probably would not have come to You about it. Again\, I repent. Just thinking about it brings me to my knees. I know that kind of behavior grieves You. The drama\, the tears\, the falling on the floor and all the emotions have to be real. If not\, I’ve gotten everything I am going to get\, an emotional release. I might also get the sympathy or the empathy from those who are watching\, which would provide for some internal relief. I don’t want that life. I want to come to You because I know I am wrong whether or not I am “caught”. The Holy Spirit always shows me when I am wrong. Even though I may try to rationalize it\, wrong is wrong. There’s no gray area with You. I can’t be partially obedient. I bring to You the sacrifice You require. My heart is broken for every wrong I commit; I repent and I do not want to do them again. And so we are! What I understood\, for a long time\, was all I had to do was get saved and everything would be okay. Ultimately\, that statement was and is true; everything will be okay. However\, in the time between the day I got saved\, and the day I will come to heaven to be with You; I need a refuge\, a guide\, a judge\, a confidante\, and\, most importantly\, a Lord. There will be choices I can and will make that can move me from under Your shelter. Salvation is free\, everything else will cost me. The cost is my life. The enemy does not want me to be with You. I need You to help me stand\, no matter what darts the devil throws at me. Please help me make sure I don’t gamble away my peace. Help me remember You are my safe place\, my shelter from the pursuit of the enemy\, my guide through danger and trouble when I make choices that satisfy whatever my fleshly need is at the moment. (KJV) \nDo you believe God will provide for you? \nDo you know what resources any of your friends have available for you to use at any given moment? Maybe you think you do. Maybe you have determined the ones who have money; who have influence; who have access to certain perks\, etc. Do you sometimes ask the “appropriate” person for what you need\, hoping they will take care of the problem? There is nothing wrong with asking. There is nothing wrong with thinking your friends should help you out. However\, your first step\, when you are facing a problem\, is to go to God.  \nRomans 8:31-32 So\, what do you think? With God on our side like this\, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us\, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son\, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? (The Message MSG) \nYou don’t have to figure out how God is going to meet your need; He has already figured it out. He knows what you have need of before you ask (Matthew 6:8). He can supply your need\, supernaturally or naturally; just remember\, He is the one who is supplying the need. You can find a supernatural example of God’s provision in the story of Abraham and Isaac (see devotional on March 16th). Encourage yourself with these truths\, He can and will provide for you because: \n\nHe is your Father.\n\nEphesians 1:5 He predestined and lovingly planned for us to be adopted to Himself as [His own] children through Jesus Christ\, in accordance with the kind intention and good pleasure of His will. You may impress upon one of my friends or someone completely unknown to me to fix it some other way. However You fix it\, You will fix it completely without strings and everybody will be at peace. When I try to do it without consulting You\, it goes wrong. Often I have felt bad because my friend could not or would not help. My friend may have felt bad that I asked\, without knowing their situation. Maybe it was bad timing\, and my friend couldn’t do it. Maybe my friend did not want to do it and felt pressure because of the friendship. It is dangerous to put people in the place You should be. It is dangerous to hold a person to a standard they cannot live up to because they are not You. You are Jehovah Jireh. All of my provision is in You. You meet my need and even some of my wants. You do it in the way You see fit for the situation I’m going through and that supports Your purpose and plan for my life. There is training and growth for me\, if I allow You to take care of it. (KJV) \nExodus 15:26 And said\, If thou wilt diligently hearken to (TVT) of the Lord thy God\, and wilt do that which is right in his sight\, and wilt give ear to his commandments\, and keep all his statutes\, I will put none of these diseases upon thee\, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee. (KJV) \nDo you have some relationships that need healing? \nWhen you think about healing\, it is often a physical problem you focus on. However\, healing can apply to your relationships as well. When there is tension\, strife\, and distance in your relationships\, you need healing. You recognize the need\, even if you don’t acknowledge it. How\, because it becomes difficult and a strain to interact with those you are in a relationship with. \nColossians 3:12-13 Since you are all set apart by God\, made holy and dearly loved\, clothe yourselves with a holy way of life: compassion\, kindness\, humility\, gentleness\, and patience. 13 Put up with one another. Forgive. Pardon any offenses against one another\, as the Lord has pardoned you\, because you should act in kind. (The Voice TVT) \nYour conversations are short and functional when they were not that way between you before. If you are the one who caused the problem\, you have to admit it. You may say\, “It was not my fault\, I did nothing wrong\, I was just playing\, it’s not that serious\, etc.” However\, when your friend\, co-worker\, family member\, etc. shares an offense\, addressed it. Allow him/her to explain. Even if you don’t remember\, agree\, or see it the same way. You don’t have to own it\, nor justify it. However\, you do need to acknowledge it. \nMatthew 5:23-24 So if when you are offering your gift at the altar you there remember that your brother has any [grievance] against you\, 24 Leave your gift at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother\, and then come back and present your gift. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nWhat if the situation was reversed? How would you want to be handled? You don’t have to wait until your  friend\, co-worker\, family member\, etc. comes to you. Don’t allow the enemy to whisper in your ear. Don’t fill your head with negativity\, phrases like  “I should have known; I won’t allow anyone this close to me again; People are all the same; Who needs friends\, etc.” \, don’t represent God. Also\, you are not showing maturity if you drag around an offense\, pretending to be over it when you are not. Actually\, it is quite the opposite of mature. Give the Lord praise because He made provision for this situation as well; you address it. \nMatthew 18:15 If your brother wrongs you\, go and show him his fault\, between you and him privately. If he listens to you\, you have won back your brother. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC)  \nIt does not matter which category you fall into\, and the offender/offense may change from situation to situation. The Bible requires you to deal with it. If anyone has offended you; the responsibility lies with you. You can’t make anyone do anything; you put your blessings at risk\, waiting for someone to come to you. If you are the one who committed the offense\, the Holy Spirit will let you know. You can choose to ignore it; however\, you lose your ability to offer gifts to the Father. Be who God has called you to be. \nEphesians 4:2 With tender humility and quiet patience\, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another\, especially toward those who may try your patience. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nThen you have to forgive\, or God will deal with you as you deal with others (Matthew 6:12).  \nEphesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness\, passion\, and anger. No more shouting or insults\, no more hateful feelings of any sort. 32 Instead\, be kind and tender-hearted to one another\, and forgive one another\, as God has forgiven you through Christ. (Good News Translation GNT) \nYou don’t want to put anything between you and your relationship with God. You must deal with the situation; be honest with the Father about how you feel. Go to Him in prayer and He will show you want to say and what to do. If you are obedient\, God will heal your situation and mend your relationship. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, for as long as I can remember\, I have said\, “The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much.” I applied that scripture to whatever I was praying about. I repent for believing it meant I could have whatever I thought I needed or wanted. I didn’t understand the focus of that scripture was healing. You showed me that scripture was dealing with a broken heart and broken relationship. You have made it abundantly clear to me there’s no way to have a relationship with You\, and I don’t have a relationship with those I see every day. Broken communion\, in the natural\, negatively affects my communion with You. I can’t ignore disagreements. I can’t pretend like the tension doesn’t exist. I can’t sweep it under the rug. I can’t tell anyone to get over it or force myself to get over it. Many of the people around me have considered characterized me as confrontational. Somehow\, they made sure I knew that was not a compliment. As a result\, I spent a lot of years trying to go with the flow and let things roll off my back. I repent for messing with Your design; I had no right. You put that in me. I did not choose to be this way. You are teaching me how to confront issues in Your strength\, in Your power\, and mostly in Your Love. Thank You. I don’t want to have tense interactions with those who name the name of Christ and even those who don’t\, even though I know sometimes I will. You are Jehovah Rophe\, You can bring healing to any and every situation. You are the God of reconciliation. I thank You for giving me understanding. DESCRIPTION:1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) \nExodus 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel\, saying\, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the Lord that doth sanctify you. (KJV) \nAre you still trying to fix yourself? \nAre you one of those people who believe you can use problem-solving skills to change? Theoretically\, it seems possible. However\, from a practical standpoint\, though it may work for a time\, you don’t have the capacity to sustain the change. The basic premise for all problem solving is to determine the problem. You can rehearse the situation and try to identify what went wrong. You can think you have come up with the reason. The real problem is sin. Don’t get bent out of shape and start to think the worse because of the word\, “sin”. Here are a couple of meanings that will help you understand why sin is the problem: \n\nYou missed the mark God set for you. \n\nIsaiah 53:6 Like wayward sheep\, we have all wandered astray. Each of us has turned from God’s paths and chosen our own way; even so\, Yahweh laid the guilt of our every sin upon him. (TPT) \n\nYou went beyond God’s set boundary or limit. \n\nActs 17:26 This God made us in all our diversity from one original person\, allowing each culture to have its own time to develop\, giving each its own place to live and thrive in its distinct ways. (The Voice TVT) \n\nYou were going in the direction God was leading and somehow you strayed off course. \n\nRomans 3:11-12 No one understands [no one intelligently discerns or comprehends]; no one seeks out God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have gone wrong and have become unprofitable and worthless; no one does right\, not even one! (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nYou are now on an alternate course not going in the direction God intended for you to go. \n\nProverbs 14:12-13 What you think is the right road may lead to death. 13 Laughter may hide sadness. When happiness is gone\, sorrow is always there. (Good News Translation GNT) \nYou don’t have the power to solve a sin problem. Rules can’t fix it\, God sent the Ten Commandments\, and the people continued to sin. You can try to employ mind over matter. You can do the twelve-step\, ten-step\, or however many steps programs\, the problem is still there. You can even begin to “speak the word over yourself.” Paul describes the situation in Romans 7:14-25 (read below). You are just like he was\, understanding what God desires\, wanting to be obedient. And just like Paul\, there is a problem. Will you also recognize that it is a sin issue\, a part of human nature? Yes\, God saved you\, actually your spirit man\, and translated you from darkness to light. However\, salvation doesn’t exempt you from doing the wrong thing. Your soul must be saved\, and that is your job. It is not something you can talk yourself into\, it requires action. You must be obedient. \nPhilippians 2:12-13 So then\, my dear ones\, just as you have always obeyed [my instructions with enthusiasm]\, not only in my presence\, but now much more in my absence\, continue to work out your salvation [that is\, cultivate it\, bring it to full effect\, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ]. 13 For it is [not your strength\, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you\, both to will and to work [that is\, strengthening\, energizing\, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nThe ultimate conclusion is you can’t fix yourself. Don’t give up. You\, like Paul\, can pray and walk in obedience to God’s word. Then you can praise and give glory to God. He will fix you because He is Jehovah Mekaddishkem [ja-hō-va ma-kā’-dish-kim] (The LORD that Sanctifies You). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I first want to repent even before I begin to pray. I have wasted so many days\, years even\, trying to fix myself. I’ve read the self-help books and tried to apply the logic. I’ve done the problem-solving matrices. The reality is\, no matter how intelligent I am\, or what courses I have taken or will take; I do not now\, nor ever will have the power to fix myself. Yes Sir\, I want to do what You called me to do. I want to be obedient. I really do. My flesh gets in the way. I had to ask the same question Paul did\, “Who can separate me from the wretched person I am?” I thank You that You are Jehovah Mekaddishkem. You are the one who sanctifies me. I had to be obedient to Your word and allow the power\, that only You have\, to clean me up. Thank You for placing the coal on my lips and on my heart. Thank You for continuing to burn out everything that is not like You. I submit to You\, please sanctify me holy unto You every day of my life. Your sanctification makes me fit to be a vessel You can use. Here I am\, be glorified and honored… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \nRomans 7:14-25  I can anticipate the response that is coming: “I know that all God’s commands are spiritual\, but I’m not. Isn’t this also your experience?” Yes. I’m full of myself—after all\, I’ve spent a long time in sin’s prison. What I don’t understand about myself is that I decide one way\, but then I act another\, doing things I absolutely despise. So if I can’t be trusted to figure out what is best for myself and then do it\, it becomes obvious that God’s command is necessary. 17-20 But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it\, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions\, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it\, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good\, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad\, but then I do it anyway. My decisions\, such as they are\, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time. 21-23 It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good\, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands\, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel\, and just when I least expect it\, they take charge. 24 I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question? 25 The answer\, thank God\, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind\, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold\, everything is fresh and new. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nMany have had difficult or traumatic experiences in their past.\n\nIf this is you\, fight doubt with the word.\n\n\n\nPhilippians 3:13-14 I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. 14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus. It makes them weary and overwhelmed\, and they begin to doubt.\n\nIf this is you\, fight doubt with the word.\n\n\n\nGalatians 2:20 Indeed\, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion\, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine\,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God\, who loved me and gave himself for me. I am not going to go back on that. (The Message MSG) \n\nThere are also those who don’t really understand who God is; unfulfilled expectations create doubt.\n\nIf this is you\, fight doubt with the word.\n\n\n\nIsaiah 55:8-9 “I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth\, the way I work surpasses the way you work\, and the way I think is beyond the way you think.” (The Message MSG) \n\nAnd finally\, there are those who doubt because they are not obeying God\, there is no partial obedience.\n\nIf this is you\, fight doubt with the word.\n\n\n\n1 Samuel 15:22-23 Samuel said\, “Which does the Lord prefer: obedience or offerings and sacrifices? It is better to obey him than to sacrifice the best sheep to him. 23 Rebellion against him is as bad as witchcraft\, and arrogance is as sinful as idolatry. Because you rejected the Lord’s command\, he has rejected you as king.” (Good News Translation GNT) \nIf your reason is listed or if you have one of your own\, doubt blocks your blessings. \nJames 1:6-8  But when you pray\, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. 7-8 If you are like that\, unable to make up your mind and undecided in all you do\, you must not think that you will receive anything from the Lord. (Good News Translation GNT) \nThe time that you spend with God helps you understand who He is. Armed with the knowledge of who God is\, you can have spiritually realistic expectations; you can pray in faith without anxiety; you can rest and be patient for His response; and you can accept His will. Doubt makes you double minded\, tosses you back and forth\, and your emotions are like a roller coaster. You won’t be able to recognize the answer to your prayer or a blessing from God. Don’t live a life of doubt. Live a life of faith because the God you serve is Elohei Chasdi [ē-lō-hī chas-dē] (God of my kindness\, goodness\, and faithfulness). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, I don’t want to be double minded and I repent for everything I was wishy-washy about what I believed. As I continue to spend time with You\, I evaluate the requests I make. I want to make sure they are requests You want me to make. I want to know they are within Your will. I want to distinguish from a spiritual perspective what I want from what You want for me. You are strengthening my relationship with You. The times when I am unsure if my requests are me or You are getting fewer and fewer. No more endlessly going back and forth and being double minded\, thank You for settling my doubts. You Are Elohei Chasdi. You see what is in my heart. I can ask You whatever I want. I only need to trust Your faithfulness. You will do what’s best for me. Even if I don’t ask You\, the request is in my heart and You know it. I thank You for peace. I love You and I know You love me. If I ask amiss\, You will not do what I asked\, anyway. I make my requests known to You and I wait for You to order my steps and guide my feet.
