SUMMARY:Thessalonians 2:3
DESCRIPTION:1 Thessalonians 2:3 For our appeal to you was from a place of union\, a place of seamless oneness where distance or any definition of distraction of subtle hidden agendas were eliminated! (TMB) \nAre you walking in offense? \nAre there times when someone said something to you or responded in a way you were not expecting and they offended you? If they are your fellow laborer in Christ\, you must know them\, by the Spirit\, and you have to stop and think about them\, in the Spirit. Remember\, it could be you who has offended someone. \n1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 Now we ask you\, brothers and sisters\, to acknowledge those who work hard among you\, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. (NIV) \nWhat prompted the response or the statement? How long have you known them (a stranger does not offend)? Did the statement seem odd or out of place for them? Maybe they were trying to speak words for exhortation\, wanting you to embrace the gospel in a deeper way. Maybe they were not trying to force you to their side or judge you. Maybe they just wanted you to evaluate what you were doing or saying; wanting you to make sure it was holy and pure. The first step you take should be to evaluate your own heart. \nTitus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. (KJV) \nHaving a pure heart does not negate your discernment. Maybe they missed it and said something hurtful. If this is a person\, God has shown you who loves Him and who lives according to His good will and pleasure; take into consideration their heart. If not\, remind yourself you are salt and light. How you react to any statement or in any situation has everything to do with who you are and nothing to do with who they are.  \nEphesians 4:31-32  Lay aside bitter words\, temper tantrums\, revenge\, profanity\, and insults. 32 But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love. (TPT) \nIt does not matter whether you believe they were trying to hurt/deceive you or not. You have to come to a place where you can render the same grace and mercy to others God gives to you. These encounters help you define your occupational specialty. This is next level warfare. Ask the Father to thicken your skin and strengthen your heart. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, I thank You for compelling me to stop walking in offense. I repent for all the times I held onto my hurt feelings instead of walking in the victory Jesus died for. Your word says offenses will come. You will deal with the offender. I thank You for requiring me to understand “to the pure\, all things are pure”. I control how I respond. It doesn’t matter what someone may think about my statements and/or actions. It also doesn’t matter what I may think about someone else’s statements and/or actions. Because I name the name of Christ\, I have the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead living inside me. That gives me power and purity. I could have misinterpreted what they said and/or they could have misunderstood me. I can still examine myself and apply what needs to be applied and leave the rest alone. Father God\, help me stop being controlled by my emotions\, touchy and emotional. Then I won’t have hurt feelings all the time. Help me know every word spoken\, and every deed done can be used to make me better if I allow it. I thank You in advance and give You glory… \n  \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 8:26
DESCRIPTION:Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: \nThe Spirit also sighs within us with words too deep for articulation\, assisting us in our prayers when we struggle to know how to pray properly. When we feel restricted in our flesh\, he supersedes our clumsy efforts and hits the bulls-eye every time. (TMB) \nAre you willing to be vulnerable before God? \nWhen you are in a tough situation\, you can rejoice and be comforted because you don’t have to understand what is going on. You don’t have to know why it happened. You don’t have to know what the solution is. You don’t have to know the “right words” to pray. You can just go into the presence of El Shaddai\, of Adonai and weep; moan; speak in tongues\, if you do; or say Father\, I stretch my hands to Thee. The Holy Spirit\, who is your comforter\, can take it from there. He knows what you need and can communicate with the Father in a way you cannot. \nRomans 8:27 God\, the searcher of the heart\, knows fully our longings\, yet he also understands the desires of the Spirit\, because the Holy Spirit passionately pleads before God for us\, His holy ones\, in perfect harmony with God’s plan and our destiny. (TPT) \nWhat would keep you from accessing the help you need? Is it pride? Do you think you should be able to handle this on your own? Are there only certain issues you take to God? Is there another reason that is keeping you from recognizing God is and has the answer? Remember\, you don’t have all the information. There are parts to the story only God knows. You just have to admit that and get the help that is already available to you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know sometimes I come to You thinking I know what the problem is. Often\, I also think I know what the solution should be. I don’t take into consideration the things I don’t know about; the things I don’t understand; and the things I didn’t recognize as intricate to my situation. I repent for being obnoxiously arrogant. To say thank You for the Holy Spirit is not enough. He is my guide. He knows all the sides to the story. He knows me\, and He is part of You. He can intervene if I allow Him to. At the same time\, He can comfort me. The Holy Spirit speaks softly to let me know I don’t have the solution to the problem because I don’t have the big picture. I am encouraged\, and I can wait to hear the words I should be praying. I will stand still as You work out the situation. My heart overflows as He prays for me. I know when You work something out; You do it completely. As I wait and listen\, I rest as the Holy Spirit intercedes for me. I know He is speaking to You about me and then He speaks to me about You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 6:12
DESCRIPTION:Romans 6:12 You are under no obligation to sin; it has no further rights to dominate your dead declared body. Therefore let it not entice you to obey its lusts. Your union with his death broke the association with sin. (TMB) \nAre you standing or giving excuses? \nHow often do you say\, “God knows my heart?” Does it make you feel better to play the “I’m only human card” after you have allowed the enemy to get a victory? Take consolation in knowing you don’t have to allow the devil to win. You don’t have to use your humanity as a justification for not standing in the power Jesus’ death provided. It is easy to give yourself a pass. You don’t have to. In this war\, how many times will you excuse your behavior before you are in bondage to sin\, feeling like you can’t be victorious? \nRomans 13:13-14 Let us walk properly\, as in the day\, not in revelry and drunkenness\, not in lewdness and lust\, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ\, and make no provision for the flesh\, to fulfill its lusts. (NKJV) \nThe way you keep the enemy from putting you in bondage is to stop making provision for your flesh. Yes\, God knows you are human; He made you. He also knows what is in you. He knows you can withstand and be victorious because you are more than a conqueror. You are an overcomer. He has given you a way of escape. You can bear whatever problem you have to confront. \n1 Corinthians 10:13 We all experience times of testing\, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity\, nature\, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more\, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. (TPT) \nTake the way of escape instead of giving in to sin. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You because sin no longer has dominion over me. I rejoice and give You praise because I used to be a sinner\, and now I am saved. Though saved\, I repent for still wanting to take the easy way out\, for making provision for my flesh\, and giving in when the going got tough. Now\, because of the time I am spending in Your presence\, by the blood of Jesus\, I am walking as an overcomer. I stumble less and less. You have given me a way of escape and I am taking it when the enemy brings temptation. Now\, not only do I name the name of Christ\, I also live a life of Christ. Now\, I walk in love\, joy\, peace\, longsuffering\, gentleness\, goodness\, faith\, meekness and temperance. Because of You I am not motivated and dominated by what I want\, and I thank You. I gladly am ruled by what You want…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Luke 11:11
DESCRIPTION:Luke 11:11 And it came to pass\, that\, as he was praying in a certain place\, when he ceased\, one of his disciples said unto him\, Lord\, teach us to pray\, as John also taught his disciples. (KJV) \nAre you asking the Father to teach you to pray? \nHave you ever asked the Lord to teach you to pray? When you first got saved\, did someone teach you about prayer as a part of discipleship or new members’ class. If so\, did you establish a posture of prayer based on what you learned? If not\, did you just mimic what you saw and heard? Do you still pray the same type of prayer the same way? Even if it has been a year\, five years\, ten years or more? Do you think encounters with God should have changed how you pray? \nThink about how children sound when they first learn to talk. They don’t speak the same way as they grow up and mature. Do you try to make sense of the things you experience by attributing human characteristics to God? Do you say things like\, “This must have happened because God is mad at me or God is getting back at me for what I did?” Are you expecting your desired answer to your prayer because you are acting like you are sharing something with God\, He does not already know? [I know God is going to do this because I am a tither and a giver\, and I am standing on the word.] Are you trying to command the hand of God through fasting and/or by putting the words “I decree” and “I declare” in front of your statements? If you are doing any of these things\, you might be diminishing God’s Deity in your eyes. \nMatthew 6:5-8  “Whenever you pray\, be sincere and not like the pretenders who love the attention they receive while praying before others in the meetings and on street corners. Believe me\, they’ve already received in full their reward. 6 But whenever you pray\, go into your innermost chamber and be alone with Father God\, praying to him in secret. And your Father\, who sees all you do\, will reward you openly. 7 When you pray\, there is no need to repeat empty phrases\, praying like those who don’t know God\, for they expect God to hear them because of their many words. 8 There is no need to imitate them\, since your Father already knows what you need before you ask him”. (TPT) \nPlease keep in mind\, God is God\, the omniscient\, omnipresent and sovereign One. Yes\, you can go to Him boldly\, however you must also go in reverence and humility. You must realize\, not only does He have the answer\, He is the answer; whether or not it is the one you want. It is much easier and rewarding to ask Him for the words to say and the heart to accept His answer. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, with each time I bow before You\, I learn more and more about me\, about You\, and about prayer\, and I am grateful. You are teaching me just as Jesus did for His disciples. I repent for every time I came to You with a problem; I had already determined how You should solve. I repent for every time I asked You to take care of an issue\, my way. Thank You for teaching me more about who You are\, what Your will is\, and how You work in my life. I am now in a place where every time I share my heart with You; I wait for You to answer. My posture has changed. Not only are You teaching me how to pray\, You are also teaching me what to pray. You continue to expand my knowledge of You because You are teaching me how to talk with You. I know You will respond. I no longer pray selfish prayers; I no longer pray vain\, repetitious\, and lofty prayers. Father\, You are teaching me to come to You with a pure and earnest heart. I will wait on You in my prayer time. You identify the things You are pleased with and those You are not. In my time with You\, I confess my faults and flaws\, not because You don’t know them. I confess because\, if I do\, I know You will heal me\, cleanse me from all unrighteousness\, and stand up tall in my life because You love me. I don’t have words to express how grateful I am that You are not like me. I repent for dealing with You as if You were. I repent for thinking I could share something with You; You didn’t already know. As if I could influence You to do what I wanted. Continue to teach me how to talk with You and I will continue to be Your eager child…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 10:22
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. (KJV) \nDo you have good cheer and peace? \nDo you sometimes feel you would get a fair shake from the world if you were not a Christian? Do you think because you are a Christian\, non-Christians treat you with disregard\, hold to a higher standard\, or push to your limit? It is important to make sure\, if you feel mistreated\, it is because of the stance you have taken with the Father and not because of anything else. If it is because of God\, there are blessings in store for you. \nMatthew 5:10-12 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness—the kingdom of heaven is theirs. 11 And blessed are you\, blessed are all of you\, when people persecute you or denigrate you or despise you or tell lies about you on My account. 12 But when this happens\, rejoice. Be glad. Remember that God’s prophets have been persecuted in the past. And know that in heaven\, you have a great reward. (TVT) \nHowever\, it is important to know whether you are being persecuted or prosecuted. Please look at how you are living and how you treat others. Make sure you are not reaping what you have sown with your attitude and actions. Whether your assessment of your situation is from a single person’s perspective; you are being persecuted for righteousness’ sake; or prosecuted for your own actions; always remember what the Bible says. \nJames 4:14 This life is but a vapor and full of trouble. (KJV) \nJohn 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you\, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (KJV) \nEither way\, as a child of God\, you must endure hardship as a good soldier. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, Your word says the race is not given to the swift\, nor to the strong; You give it to the one who endures until the end. I am very grateful to You for helping me understand everybody will not like me and everyone will not treat me with respect. Thank You for helping me distinguish between those who justify their actions because of something I did or said\, and those who actions are motivated\, simply because I name the name of Christ and live like it. I repent for buckling under the feelings of rejection. Thank You for teaching me to expect to be rejected because I choose to do what glorifies You instead of going along with the crowd. Father\, thank You for reminding me when I choose You\, I will often find myself on the outside more times than on the inside. Father\, I come to You\, right now\, thanking You in advance for giving me what I need to trust and believe You will be my endurance. Because of You\, I won’t give up and I won’t back down. The life I live will continue to speak of You. You are the Almighty God and I serve You. I will continue to seek You for the strength I need to stand. Your word says You started a work in me\, and You will perform it. I have confidence You and Your word. I give You praise and glory for who You are in my life…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 14:26
DESCRIPTION:John 14:26 But the Comforter\, which is the Holy Ghost\, whom the Father will send in my name\, he shall teach you all things\, and bring all things to your remembrance\, whatsoever I have said unto you. (KJV) \nDo you have nuggets stored? \nHave you ever done a Bible study and then “forgot” about it? Then\, in a time of prayer or when you are trying to encourage someone or even yourself\, it comes back to you. Now\, you can always receive a supernatural word of wisdom or word of knowledge to help in a time of need. However\, there is a deeper sense of connection when you can apply something you know you have read\, studied\, and gotten revelation on to a situation. You may not be able to remember the exact scripture reference\, however\, the Spirit of the text is with you. The Holy Spirit stored it for you. It became a nugget. \n1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One [you have been set apart\, specially gifted and prepared by the Holy Spirit]\, and all of you know [the truth because He teaches us\, illuminates our minds\, and guards us from error]. (AMP) \nDepending on the amount of time you spend with the Lord\, you will have plenty of revelations stored. The thing is\, if you don’t spend the time in worship\, in prayer and in study; there won’t be anything there for God to bring back to your remembrance. It is up to you to enrich your relationship with the Lord. Then He will place nuggets in storage for you to use when needed. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You because as I continue to read Your word\, and as I continue to come into Your presence\, You speak to me. You give me knowledge\, understanding\, and revelation. I may not need what You give me immediately. However\, when I don’t know what to say or I don’t know what to do; the Holy Spirit brings back to me what You have taught me. I am reminded of what You say to me when I deal with stressful circumstances. I am also reminded of how You resolve the problems I encounter. You jog my memory on prayers I prayed and how You answered them. I remember the word and the clarity and understanding I gained. I can drink from that fountain again and again. I repent for giving in to a pity party when the enemy tries to plant seeds of loneliness and abandonment. The Holy Spirit is there to remind me. You will never leave me nor forsake me. Your grace is sufficient. You will give me a way of escape. If I rest in You\, I will always have nuggets to draw on…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 4:23
DESCRIPTION:John 4:23 But the hour cometh\, and now is\, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. (KJV) \nAre you a true worshipper? \nGod is continually looking for true worshippers. What is a true worshipper? If you attend services where the people are very animated\, they may honor the Father by weeping\, bowing\, prostrating themselves\, crying\, etc.\, Being a part of that type of service may make you think you have been a part of true worship. Alternately\, you may attend services where there is no animation\, where there is a stillness and quietness in the atmosphere. You may think this is true worship. \nColossians 1:16b all things were created by him\, and for him: (KJV) \nRomans 12:1 Beloved friends\, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred\, living sacrifices. And live in holiness\, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. (TPT) \nYou should not confine worship to\, or define worship by\, a church service or a song. Worship should be your response to everything that happens in your life\, good or bad reports\, easy or difficult situations\, when things go the way you wanted them to and when they don’t\, when you are happy or when you are sad\, etc. No matter what you are experiencing in your life\, you are to worship. God created you for Himself and for His pleasure. Your pure worship pleases God. What is pure worship? \nSometime you may think that if you abide by the rules\, regulations\, and observances your church or ministry teaches; you are worshipping. Make sure it is not an attempt to please God with actions. Don’t forget who God is. He is a real Spirit who desires to commune with those He created in His image. He wants a real and honest relationship with you. That relationship can come only from your heart. Pure worship can only exist if you are truthful in all aspects with the Father. Why wouldn’t you be? You realize He is omniscient\, right? He already knows. \nPsalm 51:10\, 12 Keep creating in me a clean heart. Fill me with pure thoughts and holy desires\, ready to please you. 12 Let my passion for life be restored\, tasting joy in every breakthrough you bring to me. Hold me close to you with a willing spirit that obeys whatever you say. (TPT) \nYou can worship God in spirit and truth because Jesus revealed the Truth to you. Your worship always radiates from Him. Worship focuses on who God is. It is not about what you want from Him or what he has done for you because that would make it about you\, that is “praise”. There is nothing wrong with praise\, just understand the difference. Everything you do\, everything you say\, and your every action should elevate God on the earth. You should not only think of worship as something you do; you should think of worship as something you are. \nWorship happens when the holiness of God elevates your consciousness; the truth of God enlightens your spirit; the beauty of God washes your mind; and the love of God opens your heart. At that point\, you are totally and eternally devoted to the will and the purpose of God. Worship is not something that you do; worship is who you are. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I want to be a true worshiper. I want to be transparent before You and the world. I want to come to You naked and unashamed. I want my worship to be perfume to Your nostrils. You created me to worship You. I repent for thinking my life’s purpose was something beyond Your call to worship You. Thank You for giving me greater understanding and deeper revelation about who I am and what my purpose is: worship. My worship is not only a song any time or anywhere. My worship is not only a prayer I might pray. My entire life should be worship offered to You. Every word I speak is worship\, because my words should give You glory. Every decision I make is worship. Therefore\, I should make my decisions recognizing who You are and what You desire for me. Please keep my heart pure and my worship will be true…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 6:18
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit\, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; (KJV) \nAre you ending your conversation without giving God a chance to talk? \nThere are different types of prayer and ways to pray. They all accomplish the same thing\, talking to God. Your conversations with the Father build your relationship with Him. How many conversations do you have with friends where you do all the talking and then you hang up the phone\, or leave? Who would remain your friend if you never let them speak? How would you get to know them? Prayer allows you to have a two-way conversation with the all wise God and Father. You are praying because you need His guidance. You realize you are not sharing information with Him\, He does not already have. Prayer allows you to let Him know what you think about your current situation AND give Him the opportunity to let you know what He wants you to do. You have the right and the liberty to ask Him anything. You can thank Him for your blessings. If you are going through a tough time\, you can request that He change your circumstances\, explain why you are going through them\, or just give you the strength to endure. When you finished making your request\, don’t forget to stay there and wait on His response. \nProverbs 19:20-21 Listen to counsel and receive instruction\, That you may be wise in your latter days. 21 There are many plans in a man’s heart\, Nevertheless the Lord’s counsel—that will stand. (NKJV) \nA conversation is not effective if only one party is talking. We should not convince ourselves that God agrees with our decisions simply because we prayed about them. When you pray\, “in the Spirit”\, you wait for the Father’s response. How will He respond? He may speak to you directly\, through a scripture\, a song\, by bringing something back to your remembrance\, etc. However the Father chooses to speak to you\, you need to listen and wait for Him to respond. You also have to be prepared to answer Him by obeying all instruction and guidance He gives. Remaining still to give God the chance to respond strengthens your understanding of Him and you. \nHabakkuk 2:1 I will stand upon my watch\, and set me upon the tower\, and will watch to see what he will say unto me\, and what I shall answer when I am reproved (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank for leading me pray\, and also to watch\, listen and wait. I repent for giving You my laundry list of things I wanted You to do without listening for Your response. You have taught me\, I cannot be effective for You if I don’t wait to hear what You want. I pray not only for myself. You taught me how to pray for others. You taught me when I pray for someone; I am really asking how You want me to impact their lives. I have to be open to hearing You and willing to obey You on their behalf. You have given me the mandate to watch for the enemy and recognize his tricks and schemes. I pray You will allow me to see what the enemy is planning in my life\, in the lives of those I care for\, and in the lives of those You have assigned to me. As You show me what the enemy is doing\, I will wait in prayer for Your instructions. As I intercede for others\, I know I am standing in the gap between them and the enemy. Thank You for the desire to stand\, the strength to stand\, and the instruction on how to stand…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Galatians 4:6
DESCRIPTION:Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons\, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts\, crying\, Abba\, Father. (KJV) \nDid you come down from your cross? \nYou may not have had a childhood where you could run to your father and he would take you in his arms and make you feel safe. If you did not\, this concept may be very difficult for you to grasp. As Jesus hung on the cross\, knowing this was the reason He came to earth\, He cried out for His Father. \nMatthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice\, saying\, Eli\, Eli\, lama sabachthani? That is to say\, My God\, my God\, why hast thou forsaken me? (KJV) \nAs you fight this spiritual war\, there will be days when you feel alone and days when you feel you have lost. Just remember\, because of salvation\, the same Spirit\, that flowed in Jesus and raised Him from the dead\, now lives in you. You can say\, “Daddy\, save me!” However\, like Jesus\, your request should be out of human emotion and not the desire to forsake your purpose. The enemy wants you to come down from your cross. You can only stay there if you have the same understanding of your purpose and unwavering commitment to fulfill it\, that Jesus did. \nLuke 22:42 Saying\, Father\, if thou be willing\, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will\, but thine\, be done. (KJV) \nHow do you get to that place with the Father? Spend dedicated and purposed time in His presence\, in study\, in prayer\, and in worship. Don’t fit Him in on the run\, sacrifice to spend time with Him. Always remember\, it is not about what you feel; it is about what God has purposed you to do. \nMatthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples\, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple]\, he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests]\, and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me\, conforming to My example in living and\, if need be\, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]”. (AMP) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nThank You for being my Dad\, my Father\, my Papa. I thank You\, Father\, because I can come to You when I am in distress. You love me and I know You love me. Even when I should be stronger and I’m not; I can come You. I repent for those times when I acted like I was strong and standing in my strength; when it was really You Who was standing up inside me. I repent when I have wrong thoughts\, selfish feelings\, or ungodly actions. I am grateful for Your love and I thank You for not disowning me. I know why You don’t; it is because You are my Father. You show me\, through Your love\, You base the foundation of our relationship on who You are and what You did. I am extremely grateful You do not base our relationship on who I am\, what I have done\, or what I will do. You established my sonship. All I must do is take up my cross and submit to becoming Your child as You ordained me to be…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Corinthians 14:15
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit\, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit\, and I will sing with the understanding also. (KJV) \nWhat are you willing to do to be changed by God? \nYou say you want everything God has for you. You are even willing to do everything you know to do. Are you also willing to do things you don’t know? What happens when you have done all you know to do\, and your walk with the Lord is still not any stronger? Well\, if you are serious\, you will try new things. Change happens in the presence of the Almighty. How do you get into His presence? If you are not sure\, here are some things you can do: \n\nBe honest with the Lord. He already knows anyway.\n\nPsalm 145:18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him\, to all that call upon him in truth. (KJV) \n\nRead Scripture Aloud.\n\n2 Peter 1:21 No true prophecy comes from human initiative but is inspired by the moving of the Holy Spirit upon those who spoke the message that came from God. (TPT) \n\nSing Him a Love Song.\n\nPsalm 22:3 But thou art holy\, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. (KJV) \n\nSpeak in tongues.\n\n1 Corinthians 14:4a The one who speaks in tongues advances his own spiritual progress (TPT) \n\nTwo-way Journaling.\n\nJeremiah 30:2 “Thus speaks the Lord God of Israel\, saying: ‘Write in a book for yourself all the words that I have spoken to you. (NKJV) \n\nMeditate on the Lord.\n\nPsalm 119:15 I will meditate on Your precepts And [thoughtfully] regard Your ways [the path of life established by Your precepts]. (AMP) \n\nFocus on the Lord.\n\nActs 2:25 This is the very thing David prophesied about him: “I continually see the Lord in front of me. He’s at my right hand\, and I am never shaken”. (TPT) \nIf praying with your understanding allows you to get to the next level\, do it. If tongues will help you purify your heart\, then speak in tongues. If you already pray in tongues sometimes\, pray more. If singing the Lord a song\, meditating on the Lord\, reading scriptures etc. transforms your life\, then what are you waiting on. Don’t get stuck in your old ways. Don’t get bogged down in your biases or those of anyone else. The point here is\, don’t allow anything to stop you from getting into the presence of the Lord\, or hinder your advancement in the things of God. The definition of insanity is to continue to do the same things and expect a different result. If your goal is to be in the presence of the Father and to be changed from glory to glory\, then you won’t let anything stop you from getting there. Not even you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for the many ways I have access to You. I can speak in tongues and the Holy Spirit makes intercession for me. I can speak to You in the natural and make my requests known to You. I can pray the scripture and allow the word to govern my request to You. I can come boldly before Your throne. I thank You for being able to worship You in tongues and with my understanding. I thank You because every pathway into Your presence is available to me. I repent for allowing anything and anyone to stop\, redirect\, or put shackles on me. I will respond as I am moved by You. I will come to You with whatever request I want. I know You will answer me and teach me how to celebrate Your answer. I want to be changed into Your image and I will allow You to change me…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 8:15
DESCRIPTION:Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption\, whereby we cry\, Abba\, Father. (KJV) \nAre you willing to be used by God in difficult situations? \nHave you heard or read a definition of Fear that states: Fear is false evidence appearing real? You may have quoted it and used it for encouragement to someone else. Sometimes the evidence is not false and there may be a legitimate reason to be fearful. The doctors may have found cancer\, high blood pressure\, a tumor\, spots on the mammogram\, etc. At that point\, you cry out to your Daddy\, and then stand. You don’t walk in torment because of the report. You walk in the power that says whatever happens\, God’s desire will prevail in your life. He knows what you can handle. His thoughts are good and not evil. He has an expected end for your life. Can you accept you may have to go through some difficult situations\, or do you want God to intervene supernaturally? \nJohn 9:1-3 And as Jesus passed by\, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him\, saying\, Master\, who did sin\, this man\, or his parents\, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered\, Neither hath this man sinned\, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. (KJV) \nIt is not wrong to want the intervention. Maybe the reason you are in the situation is for God to manifest His work in you. Did you ever stop to think that God chose you for the task? Can you imagine God wanted someone to show the world how to go through\, without fear\, knowing He is in control; and He picked you. If you are willing\, you can hold your head up and stand victorious because of His power at work within you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, there have been times in my life when I have gotten bad reports. I repent for responding to the situation and the report instead of trusting You. I know there are more bad reports and tough times coming. When they come\, I will have to choose how I am going to respond again. Help me choose to trust You\, to believe You\, and to stand on Your word without moving. The enemy is no longer trying to fool me with imaginations and dismal forebodings. He is coming against me with actual situations and circumstances. Father\, I have to deal with them. I have to face them. I want to believe the report of the Lord. I want to believe I am above and not beneath. I want to believe I am the lender and not one who borrows. Help me hear the facts\, yet believe The Truth. I know I cannot allow fear\, intimidation\, or anything the enemy throws my way to govern me. I know I can cry out to You\, Daddy\, and find peace and refuge in the midst of any storm. I want to always ask You to remove the problem. I want to know You have already given me the strength to endure it and I will be the better for it…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 John 5:4
DESCRIPTION:1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world\, even our faith. (KJV) \nWho or what is your faith in? \nAre there days when you just don’t feel like an overcomer? The wonderful thing is\, even though you may not feel like it\, you are an overcomer. If you are born again\, then you do not base your ability to overcome on you; you base your ability to overcome on the Father and the faith you have in Him. \n1 John 5:4-5 You see\, every child of God overcomes the world\, for our faith is the victorious power that triumphs over the world. 5 So who are the world conquerors\, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. (TPT) \nFaith also not a feeling\, it is a fact. According to your faith\, though it is only the size of a mustard seed\, you can move mountains. You have to make sure your faith is in the Father and His will. Just hoping and even praying God will do something\, because you want it\, is not faith. God’s will is His word\, and His word is His will; this is the foundation of your faith. \n1 John 5:13-15 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does]\, so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life. 14 This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will\, [that is\, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. 15 And if we know [for a fact\, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask\, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him. (AMP) \nThis can be tricky sometimes because you may be able to find scriptures that substantiate your desire. Then you have to wait and see if what you want is God’s will in the situation. You will see if He answers your prayer in the way you requested\, or He requires you to align yourself with His will. You can and will overcome because He knows what’s best. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You because I am born of Your Spirit; I have victory and I am an overcomer. I thank You for sealing truth in me. I am not shaken when the enemy comes. Your word says even if my faith is as small as a mustard seed\, I can speak to my mountains. I thank You for showing me Your will when my prayers and my desires do not line up. I thank You for continuing to draw me close. I will spend more time with You. It is during those times when You identify the things in my life that don’t line up with Your will. You are developing me. I won’t quit because something did not go my way or simply because it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable for me. I am learning to embrace and accept Your will. I repent for using my prayers and what I may have found in the word to influence You\, command Your power\, usurp Your authority\, or dictate the outcome. I have the faith to bring under subjection any thought\, emotion or idea that exalts itself against You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:2 Peter 1:1
DESCRIPTION:2 Peter 1:1 Simon Peter\, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ\, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Savior Jesus Christ: (KJV) \nWho are your friends? \nAs you continue to accept the will of God for your life\, you will begin to identify yourself as an extension of God’s will. Titles\, positions and associations with men will not define you. You will understand your relationship with the Lord Jesus will define all you are and ever hope to be. \nActs 17:28 For in him we live\, and move\, and have our being; (KJV) \nYou won’t be partners with those who live a compromised life. Why? Because their views of what is acceptable and what is not will differ from yours. You will witness to those who reject God\, not try to be friends with them; you want them to come into the knowledge of the truth. How can you make a friendship between right and wrong? That’s not friendship; that’s war. Light cannot be best friends with dark. \n1 Corinthians 15:33 So stop fooling yourselves! Evil companions will corrupt good morals and character. (TPT) \nYou will want to be around those who see themselves as a temple in whom God lives. You will desire to be friends with like-minded believers who will encourage you and who you will encourage. You will want to fellowship with those who have made the same claim you made\, “I am a servant of the most high God”. \nJohn 15:15 I no longer call you slaves\, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends\, since I have told you everything the Father told me. (NKJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, First I want to repent for choosing my friends without seeking You. You kept me. I thank You for surrounding me with believers who are like-minded. We do not base our connection on title\, position\, or economic status. We base our connection on our ability to feel Your presence. We build each other up\, sharing truth and grace when needed. We can see You in each other’s lives\, to witness Your transformation power and celebrate what You are doing\, and I thank You. We encourage each other to seek You more and more\, and You will continue to buff and polish us. Father\, I want to be the person You created me to be and ultimately the image and likeness of Your Son and my brother\, Jesus Christ. I honor You by choosing those I fellowship with and those I council with by the Spirit and not the flesh. You give me the opportunity to minister to believers and to encourage them. I give You glory and honor for living in a time where I have the liberty and the freedom to speak Your name…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:James 2:22
DESCRIPTION:James 2:22 You see that [his] faith was working together with his works\, and as a result of the works\, his faith was completed [reaching its maturity when he expressed his faith through obedience]. (AMP) \nAre your responses to life building your faith? \nDo you say you are a Christian? Do you believe God has a plan for your life? Do you believe His plan is for good and not for evil? Do you believe\, if the Lord began the plan\, He will perform it? If you said yes to all those questions\, then you should act like it. Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem that gives an excellent example of the life a believer should live. \nYou should be able to stay calm when everyone else is coming apart. \nYou should stand on what you know the Lord has spoken to you\, when everyone around you doubts you. \nYou should be able to wait on the Lord and not get tired of waiting. \nIf you are being lied about\, you should not deal in lies. \nIf you are being treated with hatred\, you should not give place to hating. \nYou should be able to speak to crowds and not become arrogant. \nYou should be able to walk with Kings and remain humble. \nNeither your enemies nor loving friends should be able to hurt you. \nIf you can live the life described in the edited poem\, every blessing God has promised\, in this life will be yours. What’s more\, you can truly call yourself a Christian! \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for faith. You gave me the faith I needed to trust You for my salvation. You gave me instruction on how to increase my faith. As I spend time with You\, as I pray and wait for Your answer to my prayers\, as I watch to see You at work\, my faith is increased. I know it is not enough for me to have faith; I have to demonstrate my faith by allowing You to work through me. I repent for those times when I did not take what I knew about faith in You and act upon it. Thank You for teaching me the way to show I have faith in You. I will not lie to get ahead. I will not mistreat those who mistreat me. I know faith without works is dead. My desire is to live a life that says\, “I believe God”. If I can live that life\, then I will have done my part to help You be lifted\, then You will draw all men unto You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:2 Timothy 3:13
DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 3:13 People who are trapped in the mindset of hardships\, labors and annoyances will continue to desperately try to get mileage out of a dead and redundant system. The lie that they believe is the very currency in which they trade. (TMB) \nDo you live and speak of hope? \nDo you listen to the radio or watch the news and ask yourself\, can it get any worse? Well\, the answer to your question is yes\, the Bible says so. \n2 Timothy 3:1-7 And know this: in the last days\, times will be hard. 2 You see\, the world will be filled with narcissistic\, money-grubbing\, pretentious\, arrogant\, and abusive people. They will rebel against their parents and will be ungrateful\, unholy\, 3 uncaring\, coldhearted\, accusing\, without restraint\, savage\, and haters of anything good. 4 Expect them to be treacherous\, reckless\, swollen with self-importance\, and given to loving pleasure more than they love God. 5 Even though they may look or act like godly people\, they’re not. They deny His power. (TVT) \nDoes that mean you just give up? No\, it does not. Those who have gone before us did not. \nJohn 16:33 And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows\, but you must be courageous\, for I have conquered the world! (TPT) \nThose who spread bad news have a purpose. They set out to manipulate you and make you think there is no hope. They are fear merchants. They make you afraid of your trials\, sorrows\, and suffering. They make you afraid of the evil in the world\, of being slandered\, maligned and insulted. When you are afraid\, you are stifled and stuck\, like a deer in the headlights. You don’t go forward; you don’t witness; you don’t preach\, you just wait for the next terrible thing to happen. You rehearse the bad news to others and cause them to fear. Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed and discouraged by what you see happening. It may even appear that this world is God-less; you still should have hope. Do what it says in 1 Peter 3:15. \nBut in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. (NIV) \nSee and read the news through the eyes of Christ and live with hope. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, I thank You for giving me the opportunity to speak life and hope. I live in a world where it appears the enemy has the victory. It seems as if there is no value system. As believers\, we have turned to the worldview\, become politically correct\, and lost our power to uplift and encourage. It looks like the evildoers are prospering. I repent for allowing those feelings into my heart as well. Thank You for encouraging me. Father\, I know You have already won the victory; help me live like it. As a follower of Christ\, I know this life will not always be easy or without trial. However\, You have promised it can be real\, full and lasting. Because I accepted Jesus\, I am reborn into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay. It is imperishable\, untarnished and unfading\, reserved in heaven for me. Therefore\, I live with hope. I thank You because I am not governed by what I see. I am governed by what Your word says and the truth You have breathed in me. Though\, in the end\, I will be with You in glory; I can and should have joy and hope right now. I thank You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:This letter is from Paul
DESCRIPTION:This letter is from Paul\, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives. (NLT) \nAre you waiting to understand what the will of God is for your life before you serve? \nHas there been a day when you said\, “I want to know what the will of God is for my life”? Maybe you said\, “I just want to do what the will of God is for my life.” Have you gone to spiritual leaders and friends and expressed your plight? I would like to provide you with something to think about. Are you able to say?: \n2 Timothy 4:2 “I am a slave and ambassador of the Lord God Almighty. I spend my life as His agent promoting the faith. I do so with a sense of urgency. I proclaim an accurate word about my Father\, who is in heaven. Whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. Whether it is convenient or inconvenient. Whether it is welcome or unwelcome. I show people their need for Jesus and convince them\, rebuking\, correcting\, warning\, urging and encouraging them\, to respond rightly to the words I speak. I am steadfast\, untiring and patient as I teach.” (AMPC\, edited) \nThis is Paul’s charge to Timothy. However\, he is not the only one who should say these words. Every believer should. \nMatthew 28:19 Go ye therefore\, and teach all nations\, baptizing them in the name of the Father\, and of the Son\, and of the Holy Ghost: (KJV) \nThe wonderful thing is\, Paul did it his way\, Timothy did it his way\, and you can do it your way. You are to live your life and accomplish these simple tasks within the confines of who you are. Use your personality\, skills\, passions\, etc. \nMatthew 25:23 Commending his servant\, the master replied\, “You have done well\, and proven yourself to be my loyal and trustworthy servant. Because you were faithful to manage a small sum\, now I will put you in charge of much\, much more. You will experience the delight of your master\, who will say to you\, Enter into the joy of your Lord!” (TPT) \nAs you take these steps\, God will unfold for you His purpose and plan for your life that is uniquely yours. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know I have asked You what Your will for my life is on more occasions than I can count. I have said this to those who were in a spiritual position I trusted. I have said it to myself. I have asked my family to be in prayer for the answer. I am sorry I spent more time asking You instead of following You and I repent. Father\, as I read this passage today\, You reminded me of the day when You gave me the revelation of Your guidance. My job is to put one foot in front of the other as You order my steps. I just had to do the basic things described in the scripture. I have made it my mission to persuade others through my life and in my conversation that You are the One True God. You are the God that loves\, heals\, and delivers. I proclaim Your word. It doesn’t have to be in a pulpit\, and it does not have to be forceful or inappropriate. I just had to shift my everyday conversation. Now You manifest Yourself in my life in a greater way\, and I pray You will continue to do so. You reveal to me who I am in You and who You created me to be\, bit by bit\, as I am ready. I thank You. I also thank You for uniquely designing me with my personality\, my idiosyncrasies\, and with those character straits that make me who I am. I thank You for the people You ordained for me to speak to and witness to. I thank You for every opportunity and I pray I will not pass on any of them while I am waiting on some spectacular task…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:2 Timothy 1:5
DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 1:5 I rejoice in the pure faith that I see in you. Remember that you are the third generation of a strong lineage of faith. The same unwavering persuasion that indwelt your grandmother Lois also resides in your mother Eunice and is now abundantly evident in you. (TMB) \nDo you have experiences that make The Lord real for you? \nIf you read Genesis 22:1-13*\, you will find the story of Abraham going to sacrifice his son. When this story is told\, the focus is normally on Abraham. He was the father of faith. Look at the interaction between Abraham and Isaac for just a moment. Here is a 90+ year old man tying a young man to the altar. Isaac wasn’t too young to understand what was going on. He was also not too young to at least try to stop Abraham\, or plead with him if he wanted to. Isaac allowed Abraham to tie him to the altar and did not move. Abraham did not transfer faith to Isaac in his DNA. However\, I am sure Isaac saw the faith of his father day in and day out. Now it was his turn\, isn’t it a glorious thing when\, though you have in your lineage powerful men and women in the Lord\, you find your own place in God. How do you find your own place in God? \n\nBe sure of your salvation.\n\nRomans 10:9-10 because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power\, authority\, and majesty as God]\, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead\, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is\, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly]\, resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. (AMP) \nJohn 14:6 Jesus said to him\, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (AMP) \n\nPray that God would grant you the faith to know Him more deeply.\n\nJude 20 But you\, beloved\, build yourselves up on [the foundation of] your most holy faith [continually progress\, rise like an edifice higher and higher]\, pray in the Holy Spirit\, (AMP) \nRomans 10:17 Consequently\, faith comes from hearing the message\, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. (NIV) \n\nSubmit to be tested.\n\nJames 1:2-4 Consider it wholly joyful\, my brethren\, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. 3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. 4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work\, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects]\, lacking in nothing. (AMPC) \nPhilippians 2:14-15 Do all things without grumbling and faultfinding and complaining [against God] and questioning and doubting [among yourselves]\, 15 That you may show yourselves to be blameless and guileless\, innocent and uncontaminated\, children of God without blemish (faultless\, unrebukable) in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation [spiritually perverted and perverse]\, among whom you are seen as bright lights (stars or beacons shining out clearly) in the [dark] world\, (AMPC) \nWhat a blessing to move from the “God of my father/mother etc.” to “my Lord and My God”. Are you willing to submit to the process in order to experience that transition? To know God for yourself makes you dangerous to the enemy. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for every experience I’ve had. I thank You for the scripture my father quoted to me all my life. “I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” I thank You for making provision for me when I couldn’t explain how or why. You were right there. Now I don’t have to only read and hear about Jehovah Jireh. You provide for me. I don’t have to only read and hear about Jehovah Nissi. You are my banner. I don’t have to only read and hear about Jehovah Tsidekenu. You are my righteousness. I don’t have to only read and hear about Jehovah Maccadeschem. You sanctify me. I repent for not allowing my experiences to make You more real to me. I no longer live a life where I read and listen to other people talk about who You are. I live a life\, Father God\, where You manifest Yourself in my life and You are real to me…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \n* Genesis 22:1-13 Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham\, and said to him\, “Abraham!” And he said\, “Here I am.” 2 Then He said\, “Take now your son\, your only son Isaac\, whom you love\, and go to the land of Moriah\, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey\, and took two of his young men with him\, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering\, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. 4 Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. 5 And Abraham said to his young men\, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship\, and we will come back to you.” 6 So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand\, and a knife\, and the two of them went together. 7 But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said\, “My father!” And he said\, “Here I am\, my son.” Then he said\, “Look\, the fire and the wood\, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 And Abraham said\, “My son\, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together. 9 Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar\, upon the wood. 10 And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. 11 But the Angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said\, “Abraham\, Abraham!” So he said\, “Here I am.” 12 And He said\, “Do not lay your hand on the lad\, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God\, since you have not withheld your son\, your only son\, from Me.” 13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked\, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram\, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

SUMMARY:Acts 15:9
DESCRIPTION:Acts 15:9 He treated the outsiders exactly as he treated us\, beginning at the very center of who they were and working from that center outward\, cleaning up their lives as they trusted and believed him. (TMB) \nAre you making excuses or tapping into “the power”? \nContinue in your training in order to love like God loves. Those who are in and of the world can sometimes be a real challenge. How do you love and care for a person who makes greed\, hurt\, deceitfulness\, and any other self-serving emotion the ruler in their lives? Can you pull from the fountain of love that never runs dry and defy what the world expects? \nJohn 13:34-35 So I give you a new command: Love each other deeply and fully. Remember the ways that I have loved you\, and demonstrate your love for others in those same ways. 35 Everyone will know you as My followers if you demonstrate your love to others. (TVT) \nIf you spend time with the Lord regularly and consistently\, you will find you can live as Jesus lived. Jesus treated the sinner the same as the believer. He loved them\, from the place where they were\, to the place He wanted them to be. You may say\, “well I’m not Jesus” and you would be right. However\, the same Spirit that dwells in Him and raised Him from the dead dwells in you. By the way\, it is the same Spirit that brought you from where you were to where you are now. You can tap into the transforming love of God and do “greater works”. All you have to do is to be willing. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for more and more understanding of redemption. I am in the world to seek those who are lost. I know You have ordained opportunities for me to interact with people who don’t know You. I also know I have missed a lot of them. I repent for not being available. Please continue to do what is necessary in me\, making my countenance open and welcoming. I want everyone who crosses my path\, the unsaved\, the saved\, and anyone who is struggling to feel they can come to me and talk if they want to. I pray they will not feel judged\, and they will not feel condemned. I pray I can show them the path to You in a non-threatening manner. Give me the words to say to lead them to Your place of peace and refuge; different from the path they are currently on. I thank You for the work Jesus did on the cross. Thank You for the provision He made. Because of Him\, everyone’s life can be touched and changed. I know You can use me. You even said in Your word I can do greater works. I will continue to yield myself completely to You\, just as Jesus did. As You transform me from glory to glory\, You can use me more and more. With Your anointing I can live\, show and share a Jesus-life!…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Timothy 1:4
DESCRIPTION:1 Timothy 1:4 Apparently some people have been introducing fantasy stories and fanciful family trees that digress into silliness instead of pulling the people back into the center\, deepening faith and obedience. (TMB) \nAre you star struck? \nDo you adhere to confusing information as truth because the Christian community respects the person presenting it? Maybe the presenter is not the validated one\, it’s his or her father\, mother\, uncle\, etc. The key word here is “confusing”. If you spend a considerable amount of time trying to make sense of the information\, they give you; you can go to God and check yourself and the presenter. Don’t fall into the trap of accepting all you hear simply because of the speaker. \nActs 17:11-12  They found that the Jews of Berea were of more noble character and much more open-minded than those of Thessalonica. They were hungry to learn and eagerly received the word. Every day they opened the scrolls of Scripture to search and examine them\, to verify that what Paul taught them was true. 12 A large number of Jews became believers in Jesus\, along with quite a few influential Greek women and men. (TPT) \nThe purpose of instruction is to fill all believers with love\, coming from a pure heart\, a clear conscience\, and genuine faith. God is not the author of confusion. It does not matter if the person is the great\, great\, great\, great\, great\, great\, great\, great\, great grandchild of the Apostle Paul himself. You have the same access to the Father Paul had and any other believer has. The Holy Spirit is your guide and instructor. Ask the Lord in prayer\, and you will receive revelation\, get clarity\, and grow. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for the powerful men and women in the body of Christ. You have shown me who they are and continue to show me. Those men and women have to seek You\, have to listen to You\, and have to submit themselves for You to guide and direct them\, just like I do. Even though I see them as stronger than I am in the faith\, they can have an idea I don’t agree with. I can have an idea they may not agree with. I can also have an idea they may not have had. I repent for being star struck and blindly accepting the word of those who I believe are stronger than me. You have taught me I do not have to turn aside what I believe You have spoken to me; I can stand on it. I can come to You\, and I can hear the Holy Spirit speak to me. I will hear anyone’s concerns and allow You to correct me when I’m wrong. I pray now for the strength I need to stand\, even if I stand by myself\, until we all come into the knowledge of the truth. Father\, my genuine desire is to be a blessing to all people. Not because of me\, I want to be a blessing because of the revelations You give me for such a time as this…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Thessalonians 5:11
DESCRIPTION:1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together\, and edify one another\, even as also ye do. (KJV) \nAre you available for someone to read you? \nWhen you go through emotional situations\, do you sometimes feel it is better to be alone? What you may not realize is\, there is someone watching your life. Whoever they are and whether or not they will admit it to you; they need you to continue to be available to watch. You are the only Bible some will ever read. You may think\, not me. You would be wrong. Because you are a believer\, someone is watching and therefore reading you. It does not matter if you want someone to watch you or not. It may feel weighty. That is the life of a Christian. \nMatthew 5:14-15 You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they \nlight a lamp and put it under a basket\, but on a lampstand\, and it gives light to all who are in the house. (NKJV) \nYour life is not your own. Knowing and accepting God’s ownership of your life should cause you to live a life that encourages someone. This does not mean you have to walk around with a painted-on smile. This does not mean you have to be a doormat in order to “appear” humble. This does not mean you have to pretend as if nothing bothers you. Allow the way you deal with your sadness to be a steppingstone to build someone else’s hope. \nMatthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men\, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (NKJV) \nGo to God in prayer and ask Him for the strength you need to climb your mountains\, deal with your hardships\, and own your mistakes. When you shut yourself off from everyone\, you are prey for the enemy. If you are willing to stay visible\, you will enrich\, inspire\, and encourage someone. Here is an added bonus: you will enrich\, inspire\, and encourage yourself as well! \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nI thank You\, Father\, for the opportunity to comfort my brothers and sisters\, and I thank You because they also comfort me. I thank You for reminding me I am being watched by other believers\, by those who are young in this walk\, by those who don’t know You at all\, and even by those who have been on this journey for a while. People decide\, for any number of reasons\, they can’t or don’t trust You. Since I say I trust You; they are watching me. I repent for any wrong information they may have gotten about You by watching me. Help me keep in the forefront of my mind\, I am the only Bible some will ever read. Father\, bless them extra for choosing me to watch. Thank You for the opportunity to grow. When I am read\, I bless the reader. Father\, I ask You\, despite my reactions\, to continue to draw me close to You. Continue to prick me when I am walking\, talking\, and/or responding in a way contrary to the knowledge of You. I love You\, Father. I want the people who know me and watch me\, to love You as well…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Timothy 4:2
DESCRIPTION:1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; (KJV) \nAre you able to distinguish the truth from a lie? \nHow long does someone have to tell a lie before it is no longer a lie for them\, it is the truth? The answer may vary depending on the person. However long it takes\, the time will come\, and not only are they lying to others\, they are lying to themselves as well. \n“Above all\, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him\, or around him\, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.”  – Fyodor Dostoyevsky \nThe Holy Spirit is your conscious if you allow Him to be. He will prick you when you are no longer speaking the truth. If you make a habit of ignoring the Holy Spirit\, wrong will no longer be wrong. Then everything you say will be OK. You will ask these questions\, and others like them\, with regularity: \n\nDid God really mean I shouldn’t do ….?\nDoes saying … fall into the displeasing category?\nDoes it matter if I was trying to spare …’s feelings?\nDid I lie if I knew … would believe something that was not true?\nWouldn’t it be better for me if I lied just this one time? ”\n\nJohn 8:32 And ye shall know the truth\, and the truth shall make you free. (KJV) \nSpend time in the presence of the Lord. If you do\, the words you speak won’t justify any and everything you do. God gave you a clean heart upon salvation. Lies make it dirty. Don’t spend your days trying to remember what you said and who you said it to. Be watchful and exercise self-control. \nMatthew 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. (KJV) \nContinually repent\, remain in prayer and seek the Lord because you cannot justify being self-indulgent\, manipulative\, and deceitful. Your words may ease your conscious. However\, when your heart is defiled\, you cease to love. The lies tie you and trip you up and you cannot tell the difference. Then you can be of no use in the kingdom. There are no white lies and black lies\, or any other color; they are all just lies. Ask the Father to show if you have lost the ability to distinguish the truth from a lie. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, I thank You for reminding me there is never a good reason to tell a lie. I repent for any time I thought so. You give me the opportunity to speak life and hope with the truth of Your word. I know I live in a world and in a nation where it appears the enemy has the victory through deception. We claim to be one nation under God. Yet\, Your value system is being misrepresented. Now it looks like the evildoers are prospering. The bigger and the better the lie anyone can tell\, the more popular and prominent they can become. Father\, I want the truth\, the whole truth\, and only the truth. Let the chips fall where they may. Whatever the outcome\, I take joy in the fact that the victory has already been won. I live with faith. I thank You because I am not governed by what I see. I am governed by what I know to be true. Continue to draw me closer to You. I want to be useful in Your hands. I want my words to create deliverance and not put people in bondage because I name Your name…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 15:2
DESCRIPTION:Romans 15:2  Each of us must strive to please our neighbors\, pursuing their welfare so they will become strong. (TVT) \nAre you living a life that is a blessing to your neighbor? \nLuke 10:25-37 Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho\, and fell among thieves\, who stripped him of his clothing\, wounded him\, and departed\, leaving him half dead. 31 Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him\, he passed by on the other side. 32 Likewise a Levite\, when he arrived at the place\, came and looked\, and passed by on the other side. 33 But a certain Samaritan\, as he journeyed\, came where he was. And when he saw him\, he had compassion. 34 So he went to him and bandaged his wounds\, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal\, brought him to an inn\, and took care of him. 35 On the next day\, when he departed\, he took out two denarii\, gave them to the innkeeper\, and said to him\, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend\, when I come again\, I will repay you.’ 36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said\, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him\, “Go and do likewise.” (NKJV) \nThe parable of the “Good Samaritan” identifies your neighbor. It is important to realize your address does not determine “your neighbor.” God points out your neighbor when He shows you one who is in need. You live in a world that encourages you to promote yourself\, gratify your wants\, and look out for number one. This same world calls you foolish and soft when you show concern for and put someone else’s needs above your own. \nHowever\, in this same world\, Maslow\, the human behaviorist\, deals with a principle called transcendence. He believed when you transcend; you come to realize that it is not enough to maximize your own potential. You discover real fulfillment comes when you understand the integral part you play in someone else maximizing theirs. \n“Transcendence refers to the very highest and most inclusive or holistic levels of human consciousness\, behaving and relating\, as ends rather than means\, to oneself\, to significant others\, to human beings in general\, to other species\, to nature\, and to the cosmos.” \nDon’t know if Maslow accepted Christ as his savior\, however I believe he got his concept from the Lord. When you allow God to direct all of your desires\, you go beyond your ordinary human level of consciousness. You can experience “a oneness” with the Lord almighty and gain deeper understanding and higher truths. Spiritual transcendence is the God given and inspired desire\, passion and commission to help others find the answer to their emptiness\, who is Jesus Christ. It is a desire to model\, teach and train\, not dictate\, drill and demand. \nActs 17: 28a\, For in Him we live\, and move\, and have our being (KJV)  \n“God being in control of your life” is the reality God wants you to get to. You are not your own. You are in the world for God to use you to make it better. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nI thank You\, Father God\, for requiring me to live my life with concern and care for others. Thank You for helping me to be salt and light as I live on this earth. My prayer is that someone sees You in me and gives You glory. I repent for thinking my life was only about me and what I want and need from You. You have helped me see not only is my life not about me\, now; it was never about me and will never be about me. You created me for You and for Your pleasure. Your pleasure is for none to perish. You want all to come into the knowledge of the truth. I am at Your service\, Father. Thank You for picking me. Thank You for allowing me the opportunity\, every day\, to show someone the love of Christ; to be there when they need physical help; to encourage someone; to help someone see they do not lose all because You are ever present\, and You have promised to never leave nor forsake. Father\, I thank You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Galatians 5:16
DESCRIPTION:Galatians 5:16 This I say then\, Walk in the Spirit\, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. (KJV) \nAre you defending your right to be wrong? \nBecause you love the Lord\, you want to be obedient to His commands and you want to allow the Spirit to control your daily life. Unfortunately\, it does not always happen. What is your response? Paul gives clarity for this dilemma in Romans 7 and 8. \nRomans 7:15\, 24 I’m a mystery to myself\, for I want to do what is right\, but end up doing what my moral instincts condemn. 24 What an agonizing situation I am in! So who has the power to rescue this miserable man from the unwelcome intruder of sin and death? (TPT) \nLike Paul\, there are probably times when you feel like giving up. The devil is always there to point out when you have made a mistake. Celebrate the Lord\, this is not the end. Paul gives hope. \nRomans 7:25  I give all my thanks to God\, for his mighty power has finally provided a way out through our Lord Jesus\, the Anointed One! So if left to myself\, the flesh is aligned with the law of sin\, but now my renewed mind is fixed on and submitted to God’s righteous principles. (TPT) \nWhen left to yourself\, you give excuses for your behavior. Allow the Holy Spirit to renew your mind. Repent and The Father will cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Every time you give an excuse for your sins\, you set the stage to repeat that same sin over and over. No matter how many times you need to repent\, keep doing it until God delivers you. The devil will criticize you and try to condemn you. Paul has a posture for you to take. \nRomans 8:1-2  So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus\, the Anointed One. For the “law” of the Spirit of life flowing through the anointing of Jesus has liberated us from the “law” of sin and death. (TPT) \nYou are in the same battle as Paul and every other Christian. The same hope is available as well. Like Paul\, you can give God glory for the victory. Don’t give in to the tendency to justify wrong actions and behavior because of past experiences and the fact that you are only human. It does not matter what the devil whispers about you in your ear. Stop looking at yourself in the natural and look through the eyes of the Holy Spirit. All you need to do is submit totally to the Lord. You have already won! Just claim it. If you keep explaining\, giving excuses\, and telling your side of the story\, you won’t claim your victory; and you will never be free. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, Thank You for bringing me to the place where I understand I must be totally submitted to You. You can have free reign because I am delivered through Jesus Christ! I will no longer give excuses for my behavior. If I truly allow You to be Lord over my life\, I will not do things I don’t want to do because I know You will not be pleased. I will continue to repent when I stumble\, as I am pursuing and running hard after You. I want to do those things that bring You glory. You have separated me from this body of sin and death. My job is to live like it. I thank You for Your presence\, Your spirit\, and Your anointing on my life. As I continue to seek Your face and as I continue to spend time in Your presence; You bring my flesh under submission and I thank You. I walk in victory because the enemy is not free to influence my actions. As I stay close to You\, I walk in a place where I am not moved by my feelings and fleshly responses; I am governed by You. I thank You and give You praise…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Corinthians 14:26
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 14:26 I would encourage you to conduct your meetings in such a way that everyone is mutually edified. Each one in turn may contribute in music\, in a teaching; another may bring a tongue with a revelation and interpretation. (TMB) \nAre you allowing your gift to make room for you? \nHave you ever been to a service of any type and there was a such a powerful move of God? Where He manifested His presence to such a degree that you felt empowered? When did the feeling start? Let me try to paint the picture for you. \nImagine sitting in a service and the anointing of God was thick to the degree you felt you could touch it. Then someone stood up and gave a word from the Lord. Then someone else did. Next\, you could see to the left someone is giving a word to a particular person\, not the entire congregation. At the same time\, there is someone in the right corner speaking in tongues and laying on hands. In the middle\, there is someone else who is praying and prophesying. Someone else is singing\, possibly where you can understand what they are saying. They might even be singing in tongues. \nNow you ask yourself\, “What about me? How do I participate? Shouldn’t I take part in what is going on? Should I pray\, prophesy\, or lay hands too? What do I do?” \nNow the picture I painted may be exaggerated\, that was necessary for the point. Spirit filled services have emotional excitement attached to them. If you are not prayerful\, you get caught up in the emotion and several people who are in attendance\, including you\, might just miss God. There are a couple of truths you want to add to your arsenal\, as you battle in this war: \n\nIf you have been faithfully allowing God to use you as a gift\, it will not go unnoticed.\n\nProverbs 18:16 A man’s gift maketh room for him\, and bringeth him before great men. (KJV) \n\nIf you have to wonder whether you should “do” something\, ask God.\n\nPsalm 75:6–7 This I know: the favor that brings promotion and power doesn’t come from anywhere on earth\, for no one exalts a person but God\, the true judge of all. He alone determines where favor rests. He anoints one for greatness and brings another down to his knees. (TPT) \n\nYou should always be more concerned about lifting Jesus and not using your gifts.\n\n1 Corinthians 14:12 Even so ye\, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts\, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. (KJV) \nPaul admonishes us to serve an orderly God in an orderly manner. The Lord reserves the anointing He placed on your life for His use. He knows the time\, the day and the service. It may not be in the service that day. Rely on the unction of the Holy Spirit to let you know what action\, if any\, you need to take. Also\, if you think things have gotten out of hand\, do nothing. Maybe you are just not in the flow because your mind and heart are somewhere else. Rely on the Holy Spirit to handle it. He knows what is happening and is well able to make corrections if needed.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for guiding me to be a part of services where there I can experience Your power as You flow through the many gifts in the body. There are those who preach and teach; those who can exhort in song; those who can bring a word of knowledge or a word of wisdom; those who speak in tongues with interpretation\, and it becomes prophecy; and those who prophesy. Father God\, I thank You for every gift. Most of all\, I thank You\, Father\, for the order preserved during those times when all the gifts are present and active. Thank You for the guidance and the revelation that the activity was not a competition nor was it chaotic. I repent for those times when I did not allow Your gift in me to make room for me\, and I felt the need to take part and be out of order. I glorify You for the gifts You have blessed me to have and the anointing that is on my life. Thank You for allowing me to come together\, with fellow believers\, to love You and worship You. Continue to remind me it is my job to make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace\, and I will send up praises that are sweet smelling to Your nostrils…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Corinthians 14:4
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. (KJV) \nIs your desire to edify the body? \nHere is a great truth for you: speaking in tongues doesn’t make you more spiritual! There are those who would try to make you feel less than effective or less powerful if you don’t speak in tongues. As if that is the only evidence of being filled with the Spirit. \n1 Corinthians 14:18-19 I give thanks to God that I speak in tongues more than all of you\, 19 but in the church setting I would rather speak five words that can be understood than ten thousand exotic words in a tongue. That way I could have a role in teaching others. (TPT) \nThere are too many who speak in tongues just to “appear” spiritual. When you are in corporate worship\, you want everyone to be blessed. If there is an interpretation with tongues\, then the tongues become prophesy. A word of prophecy will edify everyone\, even if the speaker was addressing a particular person. \n1 Corinthians 14:26-28 Beloved friends\, what does all this imply? When you conduct your meetings\, you should always let everything be done to build up the church family. Whether you share a song of praise\, a teaching\, a divine revelation\, or a tongue and interpretation\, let each one contribute what strengthens others. 27 If someone speaks in a tongue\, it should be two or three\, one after another\, with someone interpreting. 28 If there’s no one with the interpretation\, then he should remain silent in the meeting\, content to speak to himself and to God. (TPT) \nIn your personal time of prayer\, praying in tongues can release your burden; give you a sense of being closer to the Lord; give you the words to say when you want to pour your heart out to the Lord and stop your brain from trying to fix your problem. \nThere are also times when a person is praying corporately\, and the fervency and passion of the prayer gives liberty to the Holy Spirit. We understand the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groans that are not expressed in intelligible words (Romans 8:26). It is my belief\, when that happens\, what the person says after “speaking in tongues” is an interpretation of what the Holy Spirit prayed. However\, this is something that you need to ask the Lord for yourself. \nIt may seem mystical\, it does not have to be. You can pray\, study the Bible\, and read articles\, then pray again. It is your responsibility to know what the Bible says. You can begin your reading in Acts 2:4-6\, 1 Corinthians 13:1 and also the entire chapter of 1 Corinthians 14. While you are reading and studying\, you should also be praying. Ask the Father to give you revelation\, clarity\, and understanding. \nJames 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance]\, he is to ask of [our benevolent] God\, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame\, and it will be given to him. (AMP) \nYour heavenly Father desires to reveal all things to you. When you have prayed\, studied the Bible\, and read articles\, you will have the clarity to abide by what the Bible says. The Holy Spirit will help you adjust your thinking and your behavior as you line up with what God requires. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nHeavenly Father\, today’s lessons reminded me of the scripture where Paul thanked You because he spoke with tongues more than all the Corinthians. He thought the more important thing was for him to speak five words with his understanding\, that by his voice he might teach others. I repent for desiring my edification without thinking about Your body. Father\, help me walk in the place Paul walked and Jesus walked. Help me be the person who is more concerned about edifying\, building up and blessing the entire body than proving to someone I speak in tongues or that I am spiritual. I don’t want to be the person who appears to be divinely elevated\, when I am only blessing myself. I want You to use me to bless others. I thank You for revelation\, and I also thank You for giving me understanding. There were many times when I was in charge and I didn’t understand what was going on. Everyone was speaking in tongues and I thought there was something wrong with me. Now I have Your word. It lets me know the proper way because You are a God of order. It also gives place for Your sovereignty in all things while still holding to Your order. I bless You today…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Corinthians 10:23
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me\, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me\, but all things edify not. (KJV) \nAre you letting your freedom create a snare? \nIt is a wonderful thing to experience the freedom God has given you\, isn’t it? You can choose to love Him\, choose to serve Him\, chose to allow Him to lead you in the decisions you make\, choose to honor Him with your life\, etc. You can also choose not to. Yet\, regardless of the choices you make\, you continue to breathe every day\, because He allows it. Now\, here is the test. If you have been a part of the Kingdom of believers for a while\, you probably have had many opportunities to decide whether you were going to do what you wanted to do or what you knew God desired and required you to do. What have you chosen in the past? What do you continue to choose? When you read the Bible\, it reminds you; you have free will. It also gives you the heart and desires of the Father. However\, you decide what you will or will not do\, where you will or will not go\, what you will or will not say\, etc. Every time you chose God\, you give Him your gift of submission to the authority of the word. You say to Him\, Your will be done\, not mine. \nBecause we have free will\, we mistakenly think that we can do what we want. Because we accepted salvation\, we can take advantage of the fact that we are no longer under the condemnation of the law. If we are not careful\, our freedom can cause a snare. As you look at this table\, you will gain clarity. \n\n\n\nFreedom allows us to:\nIf we don’t submit this liberty\, it can lead to:\n\n\nRest from Physical Activities\nLaziness\n\n\nExercise Our Ability to Profit\nAvarice and Greed\n\n\nEnjoy Our Lives\nIntemperance\n\n\nHave Physical Pleasure\nSensuality Without Boundary\n\n\nCelebrate the Possessions of Others\nCovetousness\n\n\nEnjoy of Food\nGluttony\n\n\nCare for Ourselves\nSelfishness\n\n\nHave Respect for Our Accomplishments\nConceit\n\n\nCommunicate Freely\nGossip\n\n\nQuestion What We Don’t Understand\nUnbelief\n\n\nBe Angry\nSin\, Rage and Bad Temperament\n\n\nShow Lovingkindness\nOverprotection\n\n\nDiscern What We See\nCriticism\n\n\nHave Same-Sex Friendships\nHomosexuality\n\n\nExperience Sexual Freedom\nImmorality\n\n\nBe Conscientious\nPerfectionism\n\n\nLive Generously\nWastefulness\n\n\nProtect Ourselves\nDishonesty\n\n\nBe Prudent\nFearfulness\n\n\n\n  \n2 Corinthians 9:7-10 Giving grows out of the heart—otherwise\, you’ve reluctantly grumbled “yes” because you felt you had to or because you couldn’t say “no\,” but this isn’t the way God wants it. For we know that “God loves a cheerful giver.” 8 God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you could ever imagine so that you’ll always be taken care of in every way and you’ll have more than enough to share. 9 Remember what is written about the One who trusts in the Lord: He scattered abroad; He gave freely to the poor; His righteousness endures throughout the ages. 10 The same One who has put seed into the hands of the sower and brought bread to fill our stomachs will provide and multiply the resources you invest and produce an abundant harvest from your righteous actions. (TVT) \nKnow this. Whenever you submit to God\, whether it is your time\, your talent\, your money\, your treasures\, your choices\, etc.\, do it cheerfully. Live a free life in the liberty Jesus died for. Whom the Lord has made free is free indeed. However\, don’t allow your freedom to take you places that do not represent God’s best or cause you to hinder someone else’s growth. With freedom comes responsibility. If you know your conduct is not pleasing to God\, stop doing it (and the Holy Spirit will let you know.) If you know your actions will cause a brother or sister to stumble\, refrain from them. You change your behavior\, not because God forbids you\, you have free will. You change because you want to walk in the knowledge of the Lord. It’s the only way one who loves God should walk\, love\, and live! \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for my freedom. I repent for those times I allowed my freedom to create a snare for me and also for others. I thank You for allowing me to choose to serve You with a cheerful heart. I don’t feel like there are things I cannot do or places I cannot go. I choose not to do what grieves You. Because Your Spirit lives in me\, I choose not to take You any place You would not be at peace. I will allow Your Spirit to govern me. I thank You for keeping me. I will not use my freedom as an excuse or permission to sin. Thank You Father God\, for touching my heart\, and making me even more concerned about my brothers and sisters. I will not knowingly cause anyone to stumble. I thank You for continuing to grow me up. I especially thank You for showing me that being a cheerful giver is not just about money. I love what You’re doing in my life. I thank You for Your concern for my life. I thank You\, Father God\, for the longsuffering You show me when I slip or when I selfishly make the wrong choice. You don’t forsake me; You are yet right there. Thank You for giving me an opportunity to get it right every day. My desire is for my life to bless You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Colossians 2:7
DESCRIPTION:Colossians 2:7 Just like the roots of the tree\, draw your sustenance and strength from him. Like a building rising up out of its foundation\, your life makes the full statue of Christ visible; standing tall in his shoes\, firm in your faith posture. The language of gratitude that overflows from your lips reflect the exact impression of what you were taught. (TMB) \nAre you the Lord’s planting or your own? \nWhen you look at a building\, do you stop and think about the type of foundation that was needed in order for it to be as tall as it is? Or when you see an oak tree\, do you think about how far down and how widespread the roots are? You are the planting of the Lord. In order for you to stand tall and reflect the image of the Father\, you must have a foundation in Him that is deep and wide. Just like a plant needs water to survive and flourish\, if you want to survive and flourish and have His image seen when the world sees you\, your heavenly Father must nourish and strengthen you. \nJeremiah 17:8 You want to be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. You will not fear when heat comes; your leaves will always be green. You will have no worries in a year of drought and you will never fail to bear fruit. (KJV) \nAs you take shape and develop into all God has purposed and planned for you\, God transforms you into His image. As you look at what God has done\, you can only stop and give Him all the glory and praise. You can say\, “This is the Lord’s doing\, and it is marvelous in His eyes!” Salvation created the foundations and your time in prayer\, fasting\, study and worship fortified and cultivated the soil that allows you to stand tall and show God as the Lord of your life. You are the planting of the Lord! You will bear fruit that remains because God dictates your life and all you desire. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for saving me and planting me. Before the foundation of the world\, You created me; You gave me gifts; You gave me talents; most of all\, You gave me purpose. I repent for taking Your plant and trying to make it mine. Help me\, Father\, to continue to submit myself to You. Please call me\, even more\, to the place where You will water me with Your word and by Your Spirit. Engulf me in Your presence as I spend time in worship and in prayer. I want to allow You to nurture me\, Your plant\, and I will be rooted and grounded in You. I want to grow into full maturity; then You can use me to provide nourishment to those in need…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 4:16
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 4:16 He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work\, it helps the other parts grow\, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. (NLT) \nAre you keeping the body healthy? \nWhen pastors and ministry leaders refer to this passage\, often they are trying to help you understand the church needs you and how and where you fit. They want you to feel connected to everyone. Think about all the churches you have attended. Whether you were saved at the time of your visit or not\, did you feel the unity? There is a sense of agreement that should be evident in every church\, ministry\, bible study\, etc. The unity should flow from heart to heart. Why? Because the body of Christ is every believer. The sad thing is Sunday morning can be the most dis-unified day for the believer. Not only do different denominations separate\, churches within the same denomination can present a separate focus. That is why you have to be a carrier of the love of God\, no matter where you go. You have your place in the body locally and also universally. You celebrate the work of Christ with all men and women who love God\, even if you do not do it the same way. Paul stated in: \n1 Corinthians 2:2 “For I determined not to know anything among you\, save Jesus Christ\, and him crucified”. (KJV)  \nJesus Christ is the common ground all believers stand on. Your local church may be a finger on the hand of the body of Christ. We should not make statements speaking against the ear that may be in another community\, city\, county\, state\, or country. So often we attempt to show the members of the local body joined\, worshipping in unity. However\, we do not make the same effort to walk in agreement with the church universal. Often\, we do not try to understand and love the entire body of Christ. \nMark 9:38-41 John said to Him\, Teacher\, we saw a man who does not follow along with us driving out demons in Your name\, and we forbade him to do it\, because he is not one of our band [of Your disciples]. 39 But Jesus said\, Do not restrain or hinder or forbid him; for no one who does a mighty work in My name will soon afterward be able to speak evil of Me. 40 For he who is not against us is for us. 41 For I tell you truly\, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to and bear the name of Christ will by no means fail to get his reward. (AMPC) \nWe all are to be known by our love one for another\, help each other grow and be strong\, and recognize we all represent God on the earth. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, I thank You because I am a member of the unified body of Christ. I thank You for the opportunity to show Your love and receive Your love. I thank You for giving each of us a part to play. Thank You for the gifts You have given me and the gifts You have placed in the body. I repent for the times when I was not working to keep the body healthy. We all can use Your gifts individually as well as collectively\, and the world will see You and accept The Father’s invitation to salvation. Help me show Your love\, no matter where I go. Help me not to be bound by denominationalism\, and I will not disregard someone who does not attend the same church I do or worship the same way I do. Please help me be a vessel and a carrier of Your love…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:2 Timothy 3:3
DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 3:3 Typically calloused and without affection; unforgiving\, displaying the characteristics of an accusing diabolical mindset\, they are without self-control; savage and cynical! (TMB) \nIs your earthly influence negative or a positive? \nBecause you are human\, you look at things from a natural standpoint. You live in a world where everything goes; there are open and encouraged displays of unnatural affection; people are cynical and diabolical by design. It appears\, according to the news and in the natural\, that the liars and the cheaters are successful in their duplicitousness. \nProverbs 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man\, But its end is the way of death. (NKJV) \nOne of the greatest tools you can add to your arsenal is the ability to understand by the “Spirit” everything you see in the natural. It is discernment. \nPhilippians 1:9-10  And this I pray\, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment\, 10 that you may approve the things that are excellent\, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ\, (NKJV) \nThe Father desires for you to submit your understanding to Him and allow Him to give you revelation. If you are willing\, you can reap both spiritual and natural blessings. Often\, understanding is not what you want because of what you see and what you go through. Sometimes you feel hurt and anger. If you are not careful\, you can become cynical as well. Then you will be suspicious of everything and everyone\, and you will see life negatively. Please remember\, God is faithful. He has intervened in your life and in His timing\, and He will continue to\, if you stay the course. \n2 Timothy 2:3-5 Take with me your share of hardship [passing through the difficulties which you are called to endure]\, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier in active service gets entangled in the [ordinary business] affairs of civilian life; [he avoids them] so that he may please the one who enlisted him to serve. (AMP) \nAn important and tough part of the warfare is when you have to “go through” and still allow God to “flow through.” The enemy’s desire is for you to respond the way he does\, giving tit-for-tat. \nLuke 6:32-36  32 For if ye love them which love you\, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you\, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive\, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners\, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies\, and do good\, and lend\, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great\, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful\, as your Father also is merciful. (KJV) \nTo show love when love is not given\, and no one showed concern for you\, is God’s way. That is what you have to do. How you respond determines how much influence you will have. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I want to submit myself to You for revelation and understanding in the midst of tough times. I repent for the times when my earthly influences did not lead me to You. Thank You for giving me opportunity after opportunity to see wrong and live what is right. I no longer feel I am privileged and should not have to endure hardness. I want to be a good soldier. I want to see Your hand at work in every situation. The enemy makes it seem like those who are out for themselves are victorious. Your word says to fret not because of those who are evil nor be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass\, they will soon wither\, and like green plants\, they will soon die away. I want to live a life that says I trust in You and have my life be an influence for good\, pointing the world to You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

DESCRIPTION:Psalms 14:2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men\, to see if there were any that did understand\, and seek God. (KJV) \nDid the Lord find you in His search? \nThe Lord continues to look down from heaven in search of those who really want to understand Him and seek Him. You say you want to trust God and obey Him when He gives instruction. What happens when you have to choose what God requires over what you want yourself? Do you fail to choose God at all? Is deciding to do what God wants more difficult than you would like to admit? Do you have to stop and think about it first? \n2 Chronicles 16:9a For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth\, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. (KJV) \nChoosing God\, without pause\, is exactly what God wants you to do. He wants you to obey Him no matter the task\, no matter the cost\, no matter the sacrifice. He is looking for those who really want to follow Him. Serving God is not a mundane\, routine\, fit-it-in-when-I-can kind of thing. Serving God is purposeful; it requires sacrifice\, and it requires diligence. \n1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for reminding me You Are continually looking for those whose heart is perfect towards You. I am sorry for those times\, when You searched for me\, You found me trying to squeeze You in and my heart full of the cares of life. I know it is good for me to pray on my drive to and from work. It is also good for me to pray over my breakfast\, lunch\, and dinner. Thank You for helping me to realize You require more and I need more. I had to change my way of thinking. If I was going to be found by You\, fitting You in\, when it was convenient for me\, was not and is not sufficient. You want intimate conversations. Every day I look forward to another level of closeness\, being drawn closer to You than I was the day before. You are seeking those who really want You. I want to be found by You because I am seeking You with my whole heart…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
