SUMMARY:Matthew 7:24
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 7:24 Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them\, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. (KJV) \nIs your foundation firm? \nHow are skyscrapers able to stand? I had to do some research on their structures and their foundations. I learned after construction is complete\, a building will always move. It can sink\, rise\, slide\, or a combination of these motions. Foundations ensure a building can safely resist all actions they are likely to face during their service life\, while remaining fit for use. Foundations anchor the building. The taller the building\, the deeper the foundation needs to be structured. \nLike a building\, you need a firm foundation.  \nLuke 6:47-48 For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words [in order to heed their teaching] and does (obeys) them\, I will show you what he is like: 48 He is like a like a [far-sighted\, practical\, and sensible] man building a house\, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose\, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it\, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock. (AMPC\, edited) \nYour foundation has to be built on and sustained by faith. You will have trials\, tribulations\, tests\, and challenges. You will feel you are sinking and sliding\, as if you are on a roller coaster\, up one day and down the next. You don’t have to concern yourself with whether the enemy orchestrated them\, or where they came from; God allows them all. You are being tested and settled. You have to know if you will be still be standing after the storm.  \nJames 1:2-4 My fellow believers\, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties\, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! 3 For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. 4 And then as your endurance grows even stronger\, it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking. (TPT) \nNo matter what you face\, when your foundation is firm\, because you built it on the word\, you will stand. You will be safe\, victorious and remain on the battlefield\, ready to complete your assignment\, fit for use.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, You are my foundation. My ability to continue to stand is because of You. Sometimes the blows are continuous\, and they are heavy. Sometimes I am left reeling\, and I can barely believe what’s happening. I repent for acting like I would not weather the storm. As if You had not prepared me and would not be there with me. Thank You for reminding me\, it’s only a test. The reason I will still be fit for Your use is because I am Your child\, and I know I stand on faith. My foundation is based on Jesus’ death\, burial\, and resurrection. My foundation is tested by my storms. My foundation is strengthened by my belief in Your love for me. My foundation is rock solid. Come what may\, I will stand. Not because of me\, my personal fortitude won’t get it done. It is because of You. You stand up inside me. Yours are the footprints in the sand… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Peter 1: 9
DESCRIPTION:2 Peter 1: 9 If anyone feels that these things are absent in his life\, they are not; spiritual blindness and short-sightedness only veil them from you. This happens when one loses sight of one’s innocence. (TMB) \nIs it fruit bearing season for you? \nThere are qualities given to you when you get saved\, called the Fruit of the Spirit.  \nGalatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others]\, joy\, [inner] peace\, patience [not the ability to wait\, but how we act while waiting]\, kindness\, goodness\, faithfulness\, 23 gentleness\, self-control. Against such things there is no law. (AMP) \nThere may be times when you feel you don’t have the fruit God gave to all believers. You may even act like you don’t. That can be tough\, especially when someone has come to you to pick a piece of your fruit. They may be in a time of desperation. As a child of God\, you should be able to provide what they need. Could it be life\, and all it brings\, has caused you not to show those characteristics. Have there been times in your life when your fruit was rotten. When unbelief\, doubt\, bitterness\, fear\, selfishness\, and pride put a barricade around your tree that looks like this? \n \n In those times\, let your mind take you back to the moment when Jesus saved you.  \nPsalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. (KJV) \nRemember what you felt. Remember how your only thought was to tell someone so you could give them what you received. The devil has a way of throwing darts that disorient you. His darts make your question if you have the fruit of the Spirit. His darts make you forget your salvation moment and focus on whatever situation is going on. However\, if you are rooted\, the Holy Spirit can nudge you. \nJohn 14:26 But the Holy Spirit\, the Helper (Comforter\, Advocate\, Intercessor—Counselor\, Strengthener\, Standby)\, the Holy Spirit\, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place\, to represent Me and act on My behalf]\, He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you. (AMP\, edited) \nThe devil will always go too far. It is his nature. It is what got him kicked out of heaven. He keeps pushing and pushing until he brings you to your knees. That is where you need to be\, in the presence of the Father. There\, you will remember all the Lord has done for you.  \nJeremiah 29:12-13 Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me\, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. 13 Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (AMP) \nThe tears will flow as you think about what Jesus did and what you have been doing. You confess\, God forgives you\, strengthens you\, and cleanses you (1 John 1:9). The miracle of God’s work in you is just as true in that moment as it was the moment God saved you. The fruit of the Spirit was always there; you are back in the place where it is evident. God uses times of pressure to cultivate and develop His fruit in your life. Your goal is to have fruit available no matter what is going on in your life. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for our relationship. Because of Your love for me\, You allow the enemy to push me to the place where I cry out to for renewal and strengthening. I repent for wanting to sidestep those moments. I want to be in Your presence and that is what You want for me as well. The truth is\, I need to be in Your presence. When the enemy tries to make me feel as if I’m not saved\, I am affirmed in Your presence and I rest in Your arms. Salvation is not a feeling\, it’s the truth. I am glad I do not base the truth of my salvation on my attitude on any given day or on my response in one particular situation. I am saved because I believe Jesus Christ in Your son and my Lord. I believe they crucified Him and buried Him. I believed You resurrected Him on the third day. There’s nothing the devil can do to change that. I stand on Your truth when I’m up and acting correctly and when I’m down and acting questionably. Thank You for saving me and giving me the fruit of Your Spirit. I can live like You desire for me to live… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Proverbs 14:6
DESCRIPTION:Proverbs 14:6 A scoffer seeks Wisdom in vain [for his very attitude blinds and deafens him to it]\, but knowledge is easy to him who [being teachable] understands. (AMP) \nAre you teachable? \nWhat does it mean to be teachable? In school\, teachers give tests to determine a student’s aptitude. The aptitude tests indicate a student’s natural ability to do. However\, the test cannot determine what a student will actually do. Yes\, the capacity to learn is available to everyone. Having the capacity to learn and actually learning are two entirely different things.  \nAs you are learning to do the will of the Father\, there will be times when the information provided will not be what you want to hear. If you are teachable\, you will accept it\, even though it might be painful to hear. If you are not teachable\, here are some reasons:  \nYou don’t understand. \nMatthew 13:19a While anyone is hearing the Word of the kingdom and does not grasp and comprehend it\, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. (AMPC) \nYou are a babe\, not grounded in your relationship with Christ and your faith. \nMatthew 13:20b-21 This is he who hears the Word and at once welcomes and accepts it with joy; 21 Yet it has no real root in him\, but is temporary (inconstant\, lasts but a little while); and when affliction or trouble or persecution comes on account of the Word\, at once he is caused to stumble [he is repelled and begins to distrust and desert Him Whom he ought to trust and obey] and he falls away. (AMPC) \nWhat you want is your focus and motivation\, not what the Lord wants for you. \nMatthew 13:22b This is he who hears the Word\, but the cares of the world and the pleasure and delight and glamour and deceitfulness of riches choke and suffocate the Word\, and it yields no fruit. (AMPC) \nYou have rationalized your actions so much you don’t see what God sees about you. \nJames 1:22-24 But be doers of the Word [obey the message]\, and not merely listeners to it\, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. 23 For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it\, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; 24 For he thoughtfully observes himself\, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. (AMPC) \nIt could be the Truth confronts your personal image\, and the pain is more than you want to bear.  \nMatthew 19:22 But when the young man heard this\, he left grieving and distressed\, for he owned much property and had many possessions [which he treasured more than his relationship with God]. (AMP) \nIt could be you don’t want to receive from the one who is speaking.  \nProverbs 5:12 And then finally you’ll admit that you were wrong and say\, “If only I had listened to wisdom’s voice and not stubbornly demanded my own way\, because my heart hated to be told what to do!” (TPT) \nWhether these are your reasons\, or you have different ones\, you don’t want to walk into danger simply because you don’t want to acknowledge or accept the truth. You have to make the choice. You don’t just want spiritual aptitude. You want to take your capacity to learn and submit yourself to instruction. However the Lord designs it. Then you will show\, by your actions\, you have filled your capacity with knowledge. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I desire to be teachable. I know there have been times when I was not. I repent for allowing what I think is right to stop me from hearing\, with an open heart and mind\, as You speak. I understand\, if I am listening\, You can speak to me: in my prayer time\, in my study time\, as I listen to a sermon\, through the words of a song\, as I watch a scene or listen to the dialogue in a movie\, in conversations with those I respect\, even in conversations that seem meaningless\, etc. If my heart is open\, our connection is solid\, and I am sensitive to Your voice\, I will hear You. You are always speaking to me and You will use any method You choose. Help me hear You when it doesn’t feel good; when it interferes with what I have determined to be my plan; when it goes against everything I thought was true\, and especially when it exposes ugliness in my heart. Help me\, Father. Not only do I want to hear You\, I also need to submit to what You say and obey… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Peter 1: 5
DESCRIPTION:2 Peter 1: 5 For this very reason\, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness\, knowledge; (NIV) \nHave you added knowledge? \nWhenever the subject of faith comes up\, this is the definition given: \n Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for\, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV) \nIn order to add to your faith\, you must first understand\, from a practical standpoint\, what faith is. You have to study it fully. With a God inspired revelation or rhema understanding of faith\, you can live your life on what God provides and accept His divine plan. In order to be saved\, you received a measure of faith.  \nEphesians 2:8a For by grace you have been saved through faith. (NKJV) \nYour faith is like a muscle. You developed and increased your measure of faith by studying the word and receiving revelation\, by being a student of the Holy Spirit\, by spending time in prayer\, and by believing God\, when everything from the natural said\, give up. You added knowledge to your faith. If you follow this path\, your faith in God is no longer based on what you read and what you heard; you now based it on what you know from experience.  \nRomans 5:3-4 We also boast of our troubles\, because we know that trouble produces endurance\, 4 endurance brings God’s approval\, and his approval creates hope. (GNT) \nAnother interesting thing happens in this process. Because you have added knowledge\, you start to do what pleases the Lord because you know it pleases Him (moral excellence). You make the godly choice instead of the fleshly one. With each correct choice you make\, you add more knowledge.  \nThe knowledge God desires for us to have has a wider sweep than our English word “know\, “ including perceiving\, learning\, understanding\, willing\, performing\, and experiencing. To know is not to be intellectually informed about some abstract principle\, but to apprehend and experience reality. Knowledge is not the possession of information\, but rather its exercise or actualization. \nYou will come to know what the phrase “of things hoped for\,” in Hebrews 11:1\, really refers to; it is not houses\, cars\, money\, position\, fame\, fortune\, stuff\, and things. It is an eternity with the Lord. If you stay on the path\, your faith will grow and you will add to your faith\, moral excellence and to your moral excellence\, knowledge. You will continue to add knowledge because you are learning what the Lord wants you to do and you are doing it. You are choosing Him instead of you. You are pleasing Him instead of you.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for faith. I repent for basing my faith on what I wanted and what I saw You do for me. I am sorry You were not first in my desires. Thank You for spending time with me. Thank You for the Holy Spirit\, who teaches me to add knowledge to my faith. Today I base my faith on my hope to be with You in glory. Exercising my faith has changed me. I make my actions and my choices with You in mind. I know You better and I want to continue to increase my knowledge of You every day. I spent a lot of years believing You for my health\, my children\, my husband\, success at my chosen endeavor\, etc. I still want those things\, and I believe You want those things too. However\, I know I have to seek You first and allow You to determine if\, when\, and how I will get them. I hope for continued transformation in my life to be more like You. I hope for the return of Jesus Christ. I hope to be with You in glory… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Corinthians 9:24
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 9:24 An athlete runs a race to win; his aim is to receive the prize not just to compete! This why I preach\, to persuade you and not just to entertain you! (TMB) \nIs your goal to win the race? \nHave you ever heard the saying\, “It’s not whether you win or lose\, it’s how you play the game”? Does the one who lost really believe that? Good sportsmanship dictates yes\, however\, no one is happy when they lose. That statement is normally used to provide some encouragement. The desire is whoever lost\, to feel better\, to continue to play\, and to step up for the next competition. The competitor could be a team\, the leader\, a child\, a department\, a co-worker\, etc. \nAs a believer\, you won’t ever hear that statement because you will win. You will always be victorious because of your faith and how you live. You want the prize. As you live for Christ\, you will make sacrifices to win. There will be times when you will want to give up. However\, the reason you keep pressing on is to win.  \nPhilippians 3:14 I am sprinting toward the only goal that counts: to cross the line\, to win the prize\, and to hear God’s call to resurrection life found exclusively in Jesus the Anointed. (TVT) \nWinning means you fight to the end.  \n2 Timothy 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight\, I have finished the race\, I have kept the faith. 8 Finally\, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness\, which the Lord\, the righteous Judge\, will give to me on that Day\, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (NKJV) \nHow you play the game will dictate what you win. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I am in this race to win You. I want to live my life every day in a way that shows You my desire to win You. Your word says “a tree is known by the fruit it bears.” I want the fruit I bear throughout my life to say I want to be with Christ in the end. Not winning is not an option. You are my prize. I know what second place is; it won’t do for me. I commit my life to loving You\, serving You\, trusting You\, believing in Your word\, meditating on Your word\, and worshiping You. You are my reward… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 2:7
DESCRIPTION:Romans 2:7 The quest of mankind is to be constant in that which is good\, glorious and honorable and of imperishable value. We are eager to pursue the original blueprint-life of the ages. (TMB) \nWhat are you pursuing? \nBecause you love God\, you want to know what His will is for your life. Because you are human\, you think being chosen for a great job\, having a notable achievement in our life\, or enjoying amazing relationships are an indication of His will. Therefore\, you run after those things. Though you may not realize it\, you may be walking outside of God’s plan. Why? Because you think you are pursuing God as you strive to accomplish those things. However\, you may not be. When you believe you are fulfilling God’s purpose for you\, you alter your life\, your plans\, and your goals. You will give up people\, places you want to go\, and things you want to have. You make different choices.  \nMatthew 19:29 For anyone who has left behind their home and property\, leaving family—brothers or sisters\, mothers or fathers\, or children—for my sake\, they will be repaid a hundred times over and will inherit eternal life. (TPT) \nHere are some things to consider. Is the job still great if you have to compromise the standards God set for your life? Why was the achievement notable? Was God glorified? Are the relationships amazing because of what they bring to your life/status or because of how God shines in them? If what you believe is God’s plan\, really is His plan\, you will know it. Your spirit will bear witness to it. \nProverbs 10:22 The blessing of the Lord—it makes [truly] rich\, and He adds no sorrow with it [neither does toiling increase it]. (AMPC) \nWhat if you missed God? What if it was not His plan? What is it was a good idea\, just not God’s idea? When you’re wrong\, every alteration you make will take you on a skewed path where you stumble and bang yourself as you go along\, creating scars. When you realize you made a mistake. God will draw you back. You will realize it you have made a mistake. How? Because you will spend so much time in prayer\, talking with the Father about what is going on\, shedding tears\, and asking Him to heal the scars. During one of those prayer sessions\, you will get a revelation. \nYou don’t need to be made over. The first model was perfect. You just need Him to do a couple of things: put you back on the path at the point you shifted\, remind you of the way He originally planned for things to be\, and help you reap the harvest created by the changes you made when you interfered. You need to be delivered from yourself. Then you will walk out your life waiting for God to fulfill His design.  \n1 Peter 5:10 And then\, after your brief suffering\, the God of all loving grace\, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ\, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes\, he will set you firmly in place and build you up. (TPT) \nWhen God has restored you\, you will choose to pursue being transformed into the likeness of Christ above all other pursuits. Just stay in the presence of God\, seeking\, worshipping\, loving\, and praying. God will orchestrate your life. What He purposed is already done.  \nPhilippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing\, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (KJV) \nYou don’t have to figure it out. You don’t have to work it out. All you have to do is walk it out.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have learned so many things about myself in the time I spend in Your presence. One of them was\, often my pursuit of You was actually my pursuit of my idea of Your purpose for me. I made countless changes in order to accommodate what I thought was Your will for my life. I got myself into a lot of uncomfortable situations. Not because I was disobeying You\, I just missed You. I thought it was the right thing to do at the time. I planted seeds during those times and I know I have to reap the harvest\, and some of those changes caused very deep scars. I am sorry I missed You. Thank You for bringing me back to You. Now\, if there is anything I want to know\, I will simply ask You\, and wait. As I pray and study\, You speak and bring clarity. I thank You because\, one by one\, You are exposing my errors and the alterations I made. You are helping me learn from the harvest of the seeds I planted. You are showing me I was pulling away from You with every change\, as opposed to drawing closer to You. Thank You for continuing to undo the alterations I made\, for healing the scars\, making harvest time less unpleasant\, and most importantly\, for bringing me back to Your design. It lifts me to another place in You to know there is nothing I can do to create irreparable damage. Though I over think and jump ahead sometimes\, thank You for making me the way I am. You are God\, my healer. Because I am me\, I’m making fewer and fewer changes pursuing ideas that take me off Your designed path. I’m waiting for You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Proverbs 2:2
DESCRIPTION:Proverbs 2:2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom\, and apply thine heart to understanding. (KJV) \nAre you seeking wisdom? \nIf yuu are seeking wisdom\, you have to know where to look. What is wisdom? How do you become wise?  \nThe Webster Dictionary definition states:\nAbility to discern inner qualities and relationships\, insight\, good sense\, judgment\, generally accepted belief. \nThe Bible Dictionary definition states:\nThe right use or exercise of knowledge; the choice of laudable ends\, and of the best means to accomplish them. It is the faculty of discerning or judging what is just\, proper and useful. It is the knowledge and use of what is best\, most just\, most proper\, most conducive to prosperity or happiness. \nThe biblical concept of wisdom differs greatly from the secular view of wisdom. Biblical wisdom is a spiritual/moral rather than an intellectual quality. There are those who believe wisdom comes with age. Have you ever heard the term “old fool”? You don’t become wise simply by living\, going to school\, etc. Solomon knew he needed wisdom. He asked\, and God supernaturally endowed him with it. If you want wisdom\, you must ask God for it. You have to humble yourself\, before God\, in reverence and worship\, and be obedient to His commands. The true sign of wisdom is when you understand you don’t have the answers and you want them from the only One who does. \nJames 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom\, let him ask of God\, who gives to all generously and without reproach\, and it will be given to him. (NASV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I really don’t know all the answers. Sometimes it’s hard for me to admit that because I study\, I read\, I research\, and I often think I can figure things out. I repent for the messes I made relying on my intellect. There are more of them than I can count. Thank You for delivering me from me. Thank You for revelation. I don’t have enough information to draw every spiritual conclusion. Without You\, I will never have enough information. I’m grateful You loved me into the place where I trust You and You alone. Those words seem strange to say\, but if I trusted You\, I wouldn’t have tried to work it out on my own. I should have been there all along. I repent for stepping out of my lane. I know it’s okay for me to study things\, look things up and try to determine what makes sense. You created me that way. At the end of the day\, I want is what is right. Only You have that answer. Thank You for showing me the truth. Thank You for making the truth available to me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Thessalonians 1:3
DESCRIPTION:1 Thessalonians 1:3 We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith\, your labor prompted by love\, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. (NIV) \nAre you ready for your performance review?  \nIn the military\, each soldier receives a performance review. The commanding officer assigns proficiency and conduct marks that evaluate how the soldier executed the duties assigned. The marks are also used to determine eligibility for reenlistment\, qualification for certain types of duty assignments\, the fitness for promotion\, and characterization of service upon discharge. You are a soldier in the army of the Lord; you also get performance reviews. You get them on earth\, and you will get one when Jesus returns. While on earth\, each assignment comes with the review. Do you have to repeat the assignment\, or do you go on to the next? After death\, on that great day\, you will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. \n2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body\, according to that he hath done\, whether it be good or bad. (KJV).  \nMatthew 12:36\n36 You can be sure of this: when the day of judgment comes\, everyone will be held accountable for every careless word he has spoken. (TPT) \nRomans 14:12 Therefore\, each one must answer for himself and give a personal account of his own life before God. (TPT) \nYou will answer for all of you have done\, whether good or bad. What will the results of your performance review be? Will you have something to celebrate? \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I am taking a moment to think about the time when I will stand before You and You will hold me accountable for everything I’ve thought\, said\, and done. Even though I have repented and continue to do so\, I will still have to give an answer for my life. I am marking this day\, this moment. Today I build an altar\, just like the Israelites did\, to remember what You have done. You have reminded me; I have to consider what You teach me and what You require of me at all times. The consideration I give should change the way I do things\, the choices I make\, and the way I live. Today\, I am making a spiritual note. I will ask myself if I would be proud to talk about my choices. I love You. I’m grateful You called me to this moment and encouraged me to take this opportunity to spend time meditating on this truth before I stood before You. I will continue to take the time. I can’t undo the past\, however\, I can certainly live for a better today and the best tomorrow I can imagine… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Philippians 2:13
DESCRIPTION:Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you\, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. (NLT) \nAre you inspired? \nA motivational speaker is someone who delivers lectures intending to encourage or inspire the people in the audience. Typically\, he or she has a reputation as an expert on the subject being discussed and will encourage the audience to look at things from a different perspective. The goal is to get them to become more attentive to their own talents and abilities. The motivational speaker may give the desire to do\, he or she can’t give the power to do. The word of God is the best motivational speaker there is\, has ever been\, or ever will be.  \nJeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you\, saith the Lord\, thoughts of peace\, and not of evil\, to give you an expected end. (KJV) \nPhilippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing\, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (KJV) \nIsaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run\, and not be weary; and they shall walk\, and not faint. (KJV) \nEphesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think\, according to the power that worketh in us\, (KJV) \nLamentations 3:22-23 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed\, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (NKJV) \nRomans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded\, that neither death\, nor life\, nor angels\, nor principalities\, nor powers\, nor things present\, nor things to come\, 39 Nor height\, nor depth\, nor any other creature\, shall be able to separate us from the love of God\, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) \nPsalm 18:29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. (KJV) \nPhilippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (NKJV) \nThere is nothing about you\, nor anything else God does not know. Not only does He know what You can do\, He assigned the task to you\, gave you the ability to do it and promised to do it through you. He knows what would try to hinder you and has already given you the power to overcome it. \nRomans 8:29-30 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like\, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name\, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then\, after getting them established\, he stayed with them to the end\, gloriously completing what he had begun. (MSG) \nIf you were not before\, are you inspired now? \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, God\, I am inspired by Your word. You promised to complete the work You started in me. I trust You. You created me\, shaped me\, and gave me the gifts and talents I have. You had a specific purpose in mind when You formed me\, called me\, anointed me\, and chose me. I am motivated to submit to You. Please complete Your task through me. Because of all who You are and all You do for me\, I yield myself. Please fulfill the destiny You have for my life. Every moment I spend in Your presence persuades me more. Every Bible verse I read provokes me. Every Bible study I complete spurs me on. I am encouraged and inspired to seek You\, to submit to You\, to obey You and to be perfected by You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Galatians 5:6
DESCRIPTION:Galatians 5:6 God believes that we are fully represented in Christ which takes circumcision or any contribution of the flesh out of the equation. Love sets faith in motion. (TMB) \nAre you legalistic or spiritual? \nWhat happens when the flesh in included in the business of the Lord? Legalism runs amuck. Christianity is not a fraternity\, lodge or secret society. Rules and regulations cannot take precedence over the gospel by establishing requirements for acceptance beyond repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Do not change “whosoever will” into “whosoever meets these narrow and rigid moral codes”.  \nGalatians 2:15-16 We Jews know that we have no advantage of birth over “non-Jewish sinners.” We know very well that we are not set right with God by rule-keeping but only through personal faith in Jesus Christ. How do we know? We tried it—and we had the best system of rules the world has ever seen! Convinced that no human being can please God by self-improvement\, we believed in Jesus as the Messiah so that we might be set right before God by trusting in the Messiah\, not by trying to be good. (MSG) \nThe flesh is in control when you spend more time evaluating and dictating conduct (i.e.\, who is doing what\, when\, where\, and how) than you spend showing love. What happens when you find misguided strictness\, pride\, shallowness\, the neglect of mercy\, and ignorance of the grace of God? You will also find an emphasis on the letter of the law at the expense of the spirit.  \nJames 4:11-12 Believers do not speak against or slander one another. He who speaks [self-righteously] against a brother or judges his brother [hypocritically]\, speaks against the Law and judges the Law. If you judge the Law\, you are not a doer of the Law but a judge of it. 12 There is only one Lawgiver and Judge\, the One who is able to save and to destroy [the one God who has the absolute power of life and death]; but who are you to [hypocritically or self-righteously] pass judgment on your neighbor? (AMP) \nGod sacrificed because of His love. You should govern the life you live from the same source. If the law worked\, Jesus would not have had to die. Obedience is not obedience\, if it is forced. Love is not love\, if it is mandated. The traditional bondages required by men have no value to God. Jesus delivered you from the rigid law and saved you by grace. Your faith\, shown by demonstrating love for others\, is what is important.  \n2 Corinthians 3:6 [It is He] Who has qualified us [making us to be fit and worthy and sufficient] as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant [of salvation through Christ]\, not [ministers] of the letter (a legally written code) but of the Spirit; for the code kills\, but the [Holy] Spirit makes alive. (AMPC\, edited) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for Your grace. I repent for trying to comply with man-made\, rigid rules and regulations. I repent for doing the same thing to other believers. I don’t have to feel like a failure because of someone else’s judgment(s) of my behavior. I can honestly say it hurt especially badly when those judgements were given by people who didn’t show Your love in their communication. I can remember feeling almost unbearably broken. I repent for anyone I caused to feel the same. I thank You for the freedom to stumble. I thank You for allowing me to repent. I especially thank You for forgiving me. You look into my heart and see my need. I thank You for the mercy available to me as I run after You. Thank You for moving the hoops people have placed for me to jump through and eliminating all their standards. I want to do what You require. You love me for who I am. You gently and lovingly bring me to the place You ordained and designed for me to be. I never feel rejected and punished for my flaws. I am grateful to You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 4:11
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest\, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. (KJV) \nAre you taking time to rest?    \nYou understand when you rest you stop working or moving around in order to relax\, refresh\, and/or recover strength. You need: \n\nPhysical rest.\n\nJesus recognized and addressed the need for physical rest.  \nMark 6:31-32 He said to them\, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a little while”—for there were many [people who were continually] coming and going\, and they could not even find time to eat. 32 And they went away by themselves in the boat to a secluded place. (AMP) \n\nMental rest.\n\nWhen you are stressed\, unable to resolve issues\, can’t see the end of your problem or problems\, etc.\, you become mentally tired. You worry and you don’t have peace. It can cause you to lose sleep\, become moody\, even depressed.  \nProverbs 3:24-26 Your mind will be clear\, free from fear; when you lie down to rest\, you will be refreshed by sweet sleep. 25 Stay calm; there is no need to be afraid of a sudden disaster or to worry when calamity strikes the wicked\, 26 For the Eternal is always there to protect you. He will safeguard your each and every step. (TVT) \n\nSpiritual rest.\n\nGod rested. Not from a natural perspective\, as if He was tired. He implemented the spiritual concept of rest. \nGod rested to teach us to rest. He knew He would require it later (Exodus 20:8-11). He rested as an example for us to understand the importance of rest in our own lives.  \nGenesis 2:2-3 And by the seventh day God completed His work which He had done\, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 So God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it [as His own\, that is\, set it apart as holy from other days]\, because in it He rested from all His work which He had created and done. (AMP) \nWithout rest\, you can become weary in well doing; you will work only looking for the end and not rejoicing over the journey. If you are not careful\, working\, without resting\, will cause you to stop working all together. Exhaustion opens doors for the enemy to plant seeds of doubt. He tells you your work is not worth the trials and tests. You lose sight of the reward God has promised. You question why you are doing “all you do”. Disillusionment replaces the benefits of your labor.  \nMatthew 11:28-29 Come unto me\, all ye that labour and are heavy laden\, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you\, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy\, and my burden is light. (KJV) \nRest and celebrate who you are\, what God has done in your life and what He has promised to do. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for rest. I thank You for instructing me to rest. I repent for those times when I worked\, though exhausted. When I worked\, when I should have been honoring the sabbath rest. You have told me repeatedly\, my exhaustion comes when I take my eyes off You and place them on a nonexistent prize. You know every assignment You have given and will give to me. You know whether it will take a toll on me or whether I will do it effectively and with ease\, and move on to the next one. I thank You for Jesus’ example of resting. He would retreat to be replenished and refreshed by You. I celebrate what You’ve done in my life and through my life. Though there may have been bumps along the way and will be more bumps to come; I rejoice in You and I thank You\, Father\, for Your rest. I honor You for Your rest. Thank You\, Father\, for not only teaching us we should rest; You also taught us how to rest… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 6:13
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 6:13 It is most important therefore to acquaint yourself with every aspect of God’s armor. You are fully fit to powerfully defeat any onslaught or contradiction on any day of confrontation\, triumphantly standing your ground. The days where the law of hardships\, annoyances and labor dictated your life are over! (TMB) \nDo you understand your weapons? \nTo make sure soldiers are confident in themselves and how to use their weapons\, the military implemented the weapons immersion program. It is used to pair a soldier with his/her weapon. Soldiers eat\, sleep and train with their weapons\, reinforcing the importance of the weapon(s) as well as increasing the skill level with them. The soldiers learn to break them down and put them back together again with speed and precision. They understand which weapon is more effective than the other\, depending on the situation.  \nYou need the same level of understanding with your weapons. Though you may not have realized it\, your heavenly Father\, with the help of the Holy Spirit\, has you in a spiritual weapons immersion program. He uses the trials of life and the temptations the enemy brings. As you fight this spiritual warfare\, if you are listening and obedient\, they train you at a deeper level about your weapons. You learn which one to use\, how to use them\, when to use them\, where to use them\, etc. One way to look at the armor is to see it in four separate areas: body\, mind\, and spirit and the connector.  \nThe body-pieces are the belt of truth and the shoes of peace.  \nThe body pieces help you fight against the enemy as you relate to others. You use them\, in accordance with the word\, as the Spirit leads you. The Holy Spirit prompts you to choose to use those weapons in your everyday life.  \n1 Corinthians 9:19\, 22b For although I am free in every way from anyone’s control\, I have made myself a bond servant to everyone\, so that I might gain the more [for Christ]. I have [in short] become all things to all men\, that I might by all means (at all costs and in any and every way) save some [by winning them to faith in Jesus Christ]. (AMPC) \nThe mind-pieces are the breastplate of righteousness and the shield of faith.  \nThe mind-pieces help you fight against the enemy as you relate to yourself. The battlefield is in the mind. The Holy Spirit reminds us to cast down every thought and imagination that exalts itself against what the word of God says. It does not matter what things look like. It only matters what the Bible says.  \n2 Corinthians 10:5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah\, the Anointed One) (AMPC) \nThe spirit-pieces are the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit\, which is the word of God.  \nThe spirit-pieces help you fight against the enemy as you relate to God. It does not matter if you choose them or not\, or if you believe them or not\, they are still available and true. Salvation is available\, not because of anything you did or will do\, it is available because of who God is and what Jesus did on the cross (Ephesians 2:8). God is His word (John 1:1). It does not change; the word is the same yesterday\, today and forevermore (Isaiah 40:8). It does not fail because He does not fail (Matthew 24:35). It is always true (Psalm 119:142).  \n1 John 2:3-6  And this is how we know [daily\, by experience] that we have come to know Him [to understand Him and be more deeply acquainted with Him]: if we habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings). 4 Whoever says\, “I have come to know Him\,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings)\, is a liar\, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him. 5 But whoever habitually keeps His word and obeys His precepts [and treasures His message in its entirety]\, in him the love of God has truly been perfected [it is completed and has reached maturity]. By this we know [for certain] that we are in Him: 6 whoever says he lives in Christ [that is\, whoever says he has accepted Him as God and Savior] ought [as a moral obligation] to walk and conduct himself just as He walked and conducted Himself. (AMP) \nThe connection piece is praying in the Spirit. \nThere are those who say praying in the Spirit is part of your weaponry. There are also those who say praying in the Spirit is not a part of your weaponry. I believe it is\, and it is the connector that makes the armor work.  \nWhen you put on each part of the armor\, you remain connected to God through prayer. You can prepare to fight every battle that comes your way. However\, the victory comes because you fight in faith. You build your faith by praying in the Spirit (Jude 1:20). In addition\, through prayer\, you understand what it means to fight in a way that is honorable to God. \nPhilippians 4:6-7 Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day\, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life\, 7 then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding\, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ. (TPT) \nYou will be in the spiritual weapons immersion program until Jesus returns. However\, until then\, you are always fully dressed in your armor\, and ready to do battle at any time.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I repent for all the times I used my weapons incorrectly. I know I often did more damage than good. I am sorry. Thank You for giving me a revelation about my weapons and requiring me to understand them. Thank You for prompting me and urging me\, by the Holy Spirit\, to learn to use them more effectively. Thank You for creating a spiritual weapons immersion program\, uniquely and specifically designed for me. You are teaching me which weapon You designed and suited for every task. When the enemy comes\, I want to choose the most effective weapon to do battle against him. I want to use the right weapon\, at the right time for me\, for one of my brothers and sisters in Christ\, and for someone who has yet to come to You. Keep me in a spiritual immersion program where I have put on my armor\, and I will not take it off again and I will increase my effectiveness for the kingdom… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Luke 13:24
DESCRIPTION:Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many\, I say unto you\, will seek to enter in\, and shall not be able. (KJV) \nWhat is your goal? \nFor many Christians\, the long-range purpose and ultimate goal is to get into heaven. What they do between the time they are saved and when they enter heaven varies. Some of them find purpose and some don’t. When you spend time\, in the presence of the Almighty\, you get His purpose for you. You will also understand the assignment He designed for you. During those precious moments\, you will realize the importance of how you live your life every day. Your daily choices are as important as fulfilling His call. Actually\, it is how you fulfill His call.  \nPsalm 16:11 Because of you\, I know the path of life\, as I taste the fullness of joy in your presence. At your right side I experience divine pleasures forevermore! (TPT) \nTime in the Lord’s presence will remind you not to only think about you; what you need to do; and what is best for you. You should also be concerned about others.  \nPhilippians 2:3-4 Be free from pride-filled opinions\, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts\, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. 4 Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. (TPT) \nSometimes it is tough to think about anyone else. It might be because you are\, or you have become\, consumed with living your life. It might be because you are doing what you believe would please God. You should want to do what pleases God. However\, the only way you can is to broaden your understanding of what “pleasing God” means. Read Romans 12:9-21. You will find pleasing God takes more than you thought.  \nColossians 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord [displaying admirable character\, moral courage\, and personal integrity]\, to [fully] please Him in all things\, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing in the knowledge of God [with deeper faith\, clearer insight and fervent love for His precepts]. (AMP) \nIt is God’s will for all to come to know Him (2 Peter 3:9). In your efforts to please God\, shouldn’t your goal be to touch lives with the love of God? Shouldn’t you want the power of redemption\, deliverance and all that Jesus offers to be the foundation of what you communicate with your life? Those\, who have been assigned to you\, should see your life and desire salvation and a closer walk with God.  \n1 Thessalonians 2:13 And we also [especially] thank God continually for this\, that when you received the message of God [which you heard] from us\, you welcomed it not as the word of [mere] men\, but as it truly is\, the Word of God\, which is effectually at work in you who believe [exercising its superhuman power in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it]. (AMPC) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I can remember hearing the statement\, “It’s not the means\, it’s the end.” I repent for accepting that statement as a way to live. You have taught me\, the means to the end is important as the end\, often more so. I want to live my life as an example of You. I want anyone who interacts with me to see You. If they are not saved\, I pray they will desire salvation. If they are saved\, I pray they will want to develop a closer walk with You. I don’t want to be so focused on heaven that I miss the assignments that will make me productive for You on earth. I know You have placed in me the desire to show Your love. Thank You for broadening my understanding and showing me how to do that. My life is not about me; it never was and it never will be. How can I say I love You\, Whom I have not seen and not take the time to show love to my brother and sister who I see every day? With every person I meet; I must show Your love. Thank You for making my goal clear… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Corinthians 9:26
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 9:26 I therefore so run\, not as uncertainly; so fight I\, not as one that beateth the air: (KJV) \nAre you certain? \nHow long have you been running this Christian race\, moving from one person’s perspective about what you should do and how you should do it\, to the next person’s perspective? It’s time to stop. \nEphesians 4:14 And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble\, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies. (TPT) \nIs this the path you have taken because you really haven’t chosen to spend time with God? He can and will tell you who you are\, then you can know for yourself.  \nJeremiah 33:3 “Call to Me and I will answer you\, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things\, [things which have been confined and hidden]\, which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.” (AMP) \nNot knowing who you are\, causes you to waiver. It makes you seem double-minded and\, therefore\, untrustworthy.  \nJames 1:8 [For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating\, dubious\, irresolute)\, [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks\, feels\, decides]. (AMPC) \nThe worst thing you can do is allow someone else\, who doesn’t know who they are and did not create you; give you instruction on how to be you. There is a book called The Richest Man in Babylon. His name was Arkad. Arkad learned to go to the subject-matter expert when he needed something done. It was a great lesson learned for him because he got rich. Not only was he rich\, he was the richest man in Babylon. You can use that same lesson and apply it to your life. \nWho is the subject-matter expert on you? Where do you go to get the information you need to be effective in your life? You go to The Creator. You go to The One who shaped and formed you. \nPsalm 139:13-16 Oh yes\, you shaped me first inside\, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you\, High God\, your works are wonderful! Body and soul\, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out; you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made\, bit by bit\, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book\, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you. The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. (MSG\, edited) \nGod knew what He called you into being to do. He also knew what you needed to complete the task. He began the work in you before the foundation of the world. There’s no need to vacillate. He will complete the work He started.  \nPhilippians 1:6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing\, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return]\, developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. (AMPC) \nAsk the heavenly Father to help you make your calling and election sure. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for settling in my heart and in my actions who I am. I repent for all the time I spent asking everyone else when I should have been asking You. Now\, when I lack the wisdom to work effectively\, to live effectively\, to represent You effectively as I live on this earth; I come to You. You give me wisdom. You won’t withhold any good thing from me. I can get everything I need from You. It is Your desire for me to prosper; to be who You designed me to be; to fulfill the thought in Your mind when You created me. You want nothing\, other than the task You created for me to complete\, to be my focus. I desire for You to be glorified with my life. I want to hear You say\, “Well done”. When I want to know how I can bless You\, You tell me. I must continually come to You to get the guidance and instruction I need. I must be sure of who You are\, then I can be sure of who I am. When I am confident\, I can be all You’ve created me to be… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 3:2
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 3:2 And saying\, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (KJV) \nAre you asking for forgiveness?  \nBelievers have shared a lot about why you should repent. God is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9)\, forgive me as I forgive others (Matthew 6:14)\, etc. Are there times when you don’t want to say\, “I’m sorry”? If so\, what do you do? Do you remember what you were taught to do? Do you think about the times when you wanted forgiveness and will probably want it again? Do you want God to forgive you thinking unforgiveness will keep Him from forgiving you\, and you won’t go to heaven? However you answer those questions\, you are the focus; what you want\, what you feel\, what you need. Here is a perspective that is worth thinking about.  \nIs saying the words “I’m sorry\, or forgive me” causing you an issue? It could very well be you did nothing “you feel” you should be sorry for. However\, that does not fix the problem. Shouldn’t confronting the issue and owning your part in it be about who God is?  \nMatthew 5:23-24 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar\, and there remember that your brother has something against you\, 24 leave your gift there before the altar\, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother\, and then come and offer your gift. (NKJV) \nIt could be you acted or spoke intentionally. You could have been misunderstood or misinterpreted. It does not matter whether you feel you have done anything that requires forgiveness or not\, you may have. Only a conversation\, with the one who has something against you\, will clear that up. To reconcile\, you may have to admit what you did or said was wrong.   \nJames 4:17 So if you know the right way to live and ignore it\, it is sin—plain and simple. (TVT) \nGod does not look on sin\, no flesh can be in His presence. The only way He can see you is through the blood of His Son\, Jesus\, because you have repented. You can make “legitimate” excuses for your behavior. Just remember\, if you excuse yourself\, you have no need for God to do it. That is a scary place to be in. When you make provision for your flesh\, you place yourself outside of the presence of God.  \nProverbs 28:13 Whoever tries to hide his sins will not succeed\, but the one who confesses his sins and leaves them behind will find mercy. (TVT) \nCan you really afford to live there? David pleaded with God not to banish him from His presence. Please think about these things: \n\nHow much humility does it take to ask for forgiveness? \nDo you think you are humble enough not to struggle when God directs you to ask for forgiveness? \nDo I understand the opposite of humbleness is pride?\nDo you realize no one cannot humiliate you if there is no pride left in you? \nWill you agree God ordained or allowed those “humiliating moments”?\nIf you agree\, do you believe God will continue to orchestrate those moments until all pride is destroyed and His light can shine through you?\n\n Psalms 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. (KJV) \nWhen you see God for who He is\, Holy\, Majestic\, Omniscient\, Alpha and Omega; you know you don’t deserve to be in His presence. He is willing. Do what you need to do to. Take advantage of the fact that He wants to spend time with you. Make your decision about Him and not about you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for understanding and revelation. Asking for forgiveness is about my relationship with You. I had never thought about it that way before. I repent for making every situation about me and what I felt. You have taught me; it doesn’t matter if I think I had a good reason for doing what I did or saying what I said. Your word says if I think my brother or sister has an ought against me; I should go to them. It is not contingent upon who I am or who they are; it is all about You. I don’t want to leave my gift at the altar. When I bring it\, I pray You will receive it as a sweet savor. I want nothing to keep me from being in Your presence. I don’t want to be sorry because I got caught and confronted by the Holy Spirit. I will gladly apologize to whomever I need to apologize to. Not out of vanity or to make myself look like the “bigger person\,” I will apologize simply because I need to\, and I love You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 63:8
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 63:8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. (KJV) \nAre you obedient? \nWhen soldiers are in the middle of a war\, they fight. They do not stop to ask the commander if he is sure. They don’t do part of what they were told. Soldiers follow orders\, or they die. You are a soldier of the Lord. You are in a war\, on assignment. Your instructions are explicit; follow hard after the Lord.  \nMatthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples\, If anyone desires to be My disciple\, let him deny himself [disregard\, lose sight of\, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me\, conform wholly to My example in living and\, if need be\, in dying\, also]. (AMPC) \nYour obedience has to be without question. There is a blessing in being obedient: God protects you.  \nExodus 23:22 But if you will indeed listen to and obey His voice and all that I speak\, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. (AMPC) \nDo you realize you walk out of the divine protection of God when you don’t do what He commands? Do you understand what happens when you disobey? Read Leviticus 26:14-39.  \nHebrews 12:25 Make very sure that you never refuse to listen to God when he speaks! For the God who spoke on earth from Sinai is the same God who now speaks from heaven. Those who heard him speak his living Word on earth found nowhere to hide\, so what chance is there for us to escape if we turn our backs on God and refuse to hear his warnings as he speaks from heaven? (TPT) \nIf you were wondering if you could do some of what God says and not all; there is no such thing as partial obedience. Saul learned that in 1 Samuel 15.  \n1 Samuel 15:13-14\, 22 When Samuel reached him\, Saul said\, “The LORD bless you! I have carried out the LORD’s instructions.” But Samuel said\, “What then is this bleating of sheep in my ears? What is this lowing of cattle that I hear?”… But Samuel replied: “Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice\, and to heed is better than the fat of rams”. (NIV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I can remember times when I told my mom or my dad that I did almost all of what I was told to do. Somehow\, I felt like I could have some level of pride attached to that “almost” accomplishment. Though they may have spared me\, I repent for thinking I could do the same thing with You. I understand\, when I obey You\, there is no almost\, there is no most of it\, there is no gray. I have either been obedient or I have been disobedient. That’s just the way it is. Please forgive me for presenting half of what You told me and thinking it was OK. For the times I almost loved everyone; I almost turned the other cheek; I almost showed kindness and mercy when needed. Help me follow through and see each assignment to the end. Thank You for the Holy Spirit\, who always lets me know if I have completed the task… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Philippians 2:12
DESCRIPTION:Philippians 2:12 Wherefore\, my beloved\, as ye have always obeyed\, not as in my presence only\, but now much more in my absence\, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (KJV) \nDo you still need a babysitter? \nIn the early years of your life\, your parent\, your teacher\, your babysitter\, or whomever was always watching to make sure you did what you were told. As you got older\, even though you should have needed less supervision\, there was still someone there to make sure you did not get out of line. The responsibility for your actions did not completely rest on you. However\, there came a time when expectations changed. You needed to show you knew what to do when you were on your own. Were you able to? Are you able to\, whether or not you were being watched? The same principle applies with your God-given assignment. \nPhilippians 1:27 Only [be sure to] lead your lives in a manner [that will be] worthy of the gospel of Christ\, so that whether I do come and see you or remain absent\, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit [and one purpose]\, with one mind striving side by side [as if in combat] for the faith of the gospel. (AMP) \nBeing on assignment means you are mature. It means you don’t need someone else to tell you what God requires of you. You don’t need someone else to tell you when you have done something right or wrong.  \n1 John 2:27 But as for you\, the anointing (the sacred appointment\, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood\, so you must abide in (live in\, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him\, knit to Him]\, just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do]. (AMPC) \nYou can go to God for yourself\, actually He wants and expects you to. You can hear God when He speaks (refer to the information in the Devotional Helps).  \nJohn 10:27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them\, and they follow Me. (AMPC) \nYou work with “reverential fear” and awe. God holds you responsible. You will answer for yourself. You will answer to Him alone. Be encouraged. God will let you know when you have done wrong. Why? Because He loves you. How? He will also chastise you (Hebrews 12:6). He wants you to fulfill your assignment. He desires for you to represent Him on the earth correctly.  \nTitus 2:7-8 And in all things show yourself to be an example of good works\, with purity in doctrine [having the strictest regard for integrity and truth]\, dignified\, 8 sound and beyond reproach in instruction\, so that the opponent [of the faith] will be shamed\, having nothing bad to say about us. (AMP) \nDon’t forget\, you are to be the image of an all-powerful and all-mighty God; you speak for the creator of the universe (you should tremble at the idea of it). Take off your shoes. The place where you stand is holy.  \n2 Corinthians 1:12 This is our [reason for] proud confidence: our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world [in general]\, and especially toward you\, with pure motives and godly sincerity\, not in human wisdom\, but in the grace of God [that is\, His gracious lovingkindness that leads people to Christ and spiritual maturity]. (AMP) \nYour responsibility is higher\, and therefore the cost of needing a babysitter is too. Do you remember the priest\, in the temple of old\, with the bells on the bottom of his clothing? What happened when they stopped ringing? If you don’t know\, you can read it in Exodus 28:35. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You have called me to the place where I don’t need anyone to oversee my actions. You have provided my assignment. My actions should glorify You. My love for You and my relationship with You should govern what I say and what I do. I repent for every time I misrepresented You. I don’t have to get approval from any man; Jesus’ death tore the veil. I can come to You for myself and by myself. I am grateful for the Holy Spirit. He is ever present. He serves as my conscious and guide. He will prick me when necessary. I want to know more about You. I don’t want You to have to prick me constantly. Help me submit to Your word and His guidance\, as I walk closer and closer to You every day. I want to be close enough to You. I want to choose what is right\, because I know it’s right. I want to respond appropriately\, because I know it is appropriate. Please chastise me\, because I am Yours. I want to walk in reverential fear\, and I tremble at the thought of disobeying You. Help me embrace this life You have designed for me\, as I come to You for direction. Keep me humble\, yet bold… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 17:21
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. (KJV) \nIs fasting and praying your religion or your lifestyle? \nYou can choose to live a mediocre life in Christ\, or you can choose to live a powerful one. There is a cost for a powerful life in Christ. The cost dedicated time spent in prayer and fasting. Please keep in mind\, you don’t determine the level of God’s power that works in you\, no matter how much you pray and fast; God does. He gives you what you need based on your relationship with Him and the assignment He has given you. Jesus explained this principle to the disciples.  \nMatthew 17:19-20 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and asked\, “Why could we not drive it out?” 20 He answered\, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you\, if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed\, you will say to this mountain\, ‘Move from here to there\,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (AMP) \nIn order to be used by God to heal certain sickness and cast out persistent and horrible demons; you need to build your relationship with the Father\, and you need faith\, developed through much prayer and fasting.  \nJude 20 But you\, beloved\, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress\, rise like an edifice higher and higher]\, praying in the Holy Spirit; (AMPC) \nYes\, you fast when you are sleeping; that cannot be the only time. Also\, you should fast more than once a week/month or whatever the church schedule dictates.  \nJoel 2:12 Therefore also now\, says the Lord\, turn and keep on coming to Me with all your heart\, with fasting\, with weeping\, and with mourning [until every hindrance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored]. (AMPC) \nLuke 18:11-12 The religious leader stood apart from the others and prayed\, “How I thank you\, O God\, that I’m not wicked like everyone else. They’re cheaters\, swindlers\, and crooks—like that tax collector over there. God\, you know that I never cheat or commit adultery; I fast from food twice a week and I give you a tenth of all I earn”. (TPT) \nYou have to pray more than a couple of minutes before you fall asleep and couple more when you wake up.  \n1 Thessalonians 5:17-18 Pray without ceasing\, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (NKJV) \nThis is the point where you decide if you are going to have a lifestyle\, not just a religion\, of prayer and fasting. You must have personal communion with the Father\, and a discipline of fasting the Lord has called you to\, not religious practices.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You because fasting and praying are not just something I do; they are both a part of who I am. I repent for the times when I only fasted when instructed\, and I only prayed when I was in distress. I know I need to crucify my flesh. I know I have to deny what I want. When I do\, I can hear what You want. I thank You for correcting me and teaching me. My prayer time is no longer a laundry list of things I want You to take care of. Now it is a peaceful time of waiting and listening to hear Your voice. I want to know what You desire of me and from me. I thank You because though I can set aside time to spend with You\, I cannot schedule every precious and powerful moment. I have to be sensitive to You summoning me. I am grateful You call me to You. I am honored You create those moments. Help me to always respond with willing obedience and anticipation. Thank You for our time together… \nAsk the Lord what He wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 6:27
DESCRIPTION:John 6:27 “Do not labor for the food which perishes\, but for the food which endures to everlasting life\, which the Son of Man will give you\, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” (NKJV) \nWhat are you working for? \nWhen you complete an assignment (no matter where that assignment is)\, you expect the praise\, the rewards\, and the promised payment. If you are working for men\, to get what the world values\, you get what men can give. How long will it last? \nMatthew 6:19-20 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth\, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven\, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (NKJV) \nIf you are getting what the world wants and loving it\, the day will come when you will identify where your loyalties lie. Why? God has to show you where your heart is. Will you make a decision that will call your Christian values into question; will you laugh when someone tells a joke that is not funny for many reasons; will you compromise your standards to take one for the team\, etc.?  \nMatthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other\, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money\, possessions\, fame\, status\, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]. (AMP) \nNo one can give you what you really want\, or stop you from getting what God has ordained for you to have. It does not matter how powerful you may think a person is. Is your ultimate goal to be with Jesus when He returns? Men don’t have control over that outcome. Do you want to spend eternity in heaven? Only the Almighty God can give that to you. When the time of testing comes\, don’t be afraid\, thinking you may lose what you have. If you chose incorrectly\, it will cost you your life.  \nMatthew 10:26-28 Do not be afraid of those who may taunt or persecute you. Everything they do—even if they think they are hiding behind closed doors—will come to light. All their secrets will eventually be made known. 27 And you should proclaim in the bright light of day everything that I have whispered to you in the dark. Whatever whispers you hear—shout them from the rooftops of houses. 28 Don’t fear those who aim to kill just the body but are unable to touch the soul. The One to fear is He who can destroy you\, soul and body\, in the fires of hell. (TVT) \nPlease keep in mind what you are really working for and work toward that end. Live the life God has commanded. He is The One who holds your greatest reward. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, there were times when I looked for the validation and approval of man. I repent because somehow; I lost sight of the fact that whatever I thought they could do for me\, they couldn’t give me a place in heaven. I also repent because I wanted what the world described as success\, the job\, the house\, the cars. Those things did not mean I was connected to You; even though I heard people say\, “God must really love you\, look how He is blessing you.” I had to build my relationship with You with Your help. Now\, my goal is to get Your validation and approval and Yours alone. I thank You for continuing to remind me of that fact. I appreciate those people who see my life as a sign of Your blessing. However\, I want them to see the right things. Help me keep You in the center\, worshipping You\, not always praising what You have done\, and what they will see is You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 11:12
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence\, and the violent take it by force. (KJV) \nCan you get back what the enemy stole? \nQuestion: How long have you been under attack from the enemy?  \nAnswer: Since before you were born.  \nBefore you even realized there was a war\, the enemy picked you out to be a casualty. You can stand in a place where you are no longer a victim. You can realize you have all the tools you need to be victorious. Job shows you how to receive back what the enemy has taken from you.  \nJob 42:1-6 “I’m convinced: You can do anything and everything. Nothing and no one can upset your plans”.\nYou asked\, “Who is this muddying the water\, ignorantly confusing the issue\, second-guessing my purposes?”\nI admit it. I was the one. I babbled on about things far beyond me\, made small talk about wonders way over my head. You told me\, “Listen\, and let me do the talking. Let me ask the questions”. You give the answers. I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all firsthand—from my own eyes and ears! I’m sorry—forgive me. I’ll never do that again\, I promise! I’ll never again live on crusts of hearsay\, crumbs of rumor. (MSG) \nYou will find you lose what God has for you because of what comes out of your mouth. Understand you don’t just randomly say words. The things that you say are the things you believe\, it’s what’s in your heart. \nLuke 6:45b For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words. (TPT) \nYou must believe God is almighty and nothing He wants to happen can be stopped. You must stop reacting as if God’s word is not true. You should not speak of things you do not understand nor have sufficient knowledge of. You have to live by what you know about God. If you stop and look over your life\, you will see Him at work. Repent and tell the Lord you will not do it anymore. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I repent for talking about the situation I have encountered\, as if I had all the information. I did not. I know I have to stand on who You are and there is no greater place to stand. You were at the end before the beginning. You were right there before I ever got to whatever situation I was in. You are all powerful. Sometimes I act as if You’re not. I am sorry. I have talked about my situations as if I know what You are doing in the lives of everyone involved. How could I? You are efficient\, and I was vain enough to think everything was all about me. I know that there is no situation You are not in control of. I know there is no problem You didn’t see coming. I repent now and I am sorry for all of it. I will be better because I will allow You to do the work in me\, without my interference. I receive back\, in faith\, everything I allowed the enemy to steal from me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 6:11
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God\, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (KJV) \nAre you in your foxhole? \nA foxhole is a Defensive Fighting Position (DFP) used by the military when soldiers are at war. The DFP serves as protection when attacking and being attacked. Developing and maintaining the DFP is a constant and ongoing task for soldiers deployed in combat areas. The soldiers don’t take off their gear and only put it on when they hear gunfire. They wear it constantly until they are no longer in the foxhole.  \nAs a believer\, you should have the same way of living. You will be in a DFP until Jesus returns. You are to develop and maintain your armor. There is no time to “lay your religion to the side”\, no time to take it off and put it back on for whatever reason you think you should. You put it on\, and it stays on. As God’s servant\, a soldier in His army\, you are to remain in the foxhole. Let’s use 2 Corinthians 6:4-10 (The Passion Translation TPT) to identify what that means. \n\nYou don’t lose courage in a time of stress and calamity. \nYou stand when beaten by life\, imprisoned by your fears and struggles\, and during the battles you fight in your mind.\nYou endure many troubles\, sleepless nights\, and even hunger. \nYou prove yourselves by your lifestyle of purity\, by your spiritual insight\, by your patience\, and by showing kindness. \nYou have uncritical love. \nYou make yourself known because of your truthful teachings\, validated by the power of God working through you.\nYou wear the whole armor of God and use the mighty weapons of righteousness—a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. \nYou remain steadfast and true whether honored or dishonored\, slandered or praised\, called deceitful or honest\, and recognized as a Christian or an imposter.\nYou are an unknown whom everyone knows. \nYou are frequently at death’s door\, yet you are still alive.\nYou have been severely punished yet not executed. \nYou may suffer\, yet in every season\, they always find you rejoicing. \nYou may be poor\, yet you give great riches to many. \nYou seem to have nothing\, yet in reality you possess all things.\n\n  \nAlways remember\, you are in the foxhole because the devil is unrelenting and your part in the spiritual war does not end until Jesus returns. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know I have said many times\, “the enemy is always on his job”. I have often followed that comment with\, “we’re not always on our job”. I repent for every time I was not on my job. I want to be on the job\, period. I don’t want You to grant me leave\, furlough\, or time off. I certainly don’t want to be discharged. I don’t want my armor to be something I take off and put on\, depending on what’s going on in my life. I want to live in it. Thank You for the revelation that I am in a foxhole. I am fully armed\, at all times\, completely ready for whatever the next situation is. The enemy will not catch me unaware. Being in a defensive fighting position gives me the ability to see the enemy from afar off. Then\, I can use the strategy You have given me. Having on my armor gives me the ability to stop him or prevent him from doing any permanent damage. I know what to do and I can be victorious. Thank You… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Luke 21:36
DESCRIPTION:Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore\, and pray always\, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass\, and to stand before the Son of man. (KJV) \nWill you be ready? \nThe Bible encourages\, admonishes\, and commands you to be ready at all times. You can read the signs of the times that speak of Jesus’ return\, just like the disciples could.  \n1 Thessalonians 5:4 But you\, believers\, [all you who believe in Christ as Savior and acknowledge Him as God’s Son] are not in spiritual darkness [nor held by its power]\, that the day [of judgment] would overtake you [by surprise] like a thief. (Amplified Bible\, AMP) \nYou should be aware of what is going on around you. However\, you should not lose sight of your assignment. If you are not careful\, you can get entangled with life and all of its affairs. You can spend such an enormous amount of time fighting in the natural. Which means you will spend less and less time in the presence of the Lord\, where you learn to fight in the spirit.  \n2 Timothy 2:4 No soldier in active service gets entangled in the [ordinary business] affairs of civilian life; [he avoids them] so that he may please the one who enlisted him to serve. (Amplified Bible\, AMP) \nThere are some additional affects to being concerned with the affairs of life. You pray less\, only when it is convenient\, and/or when you are in distress. You use church as your Bible study\, worship time\, praise time\, etc. because you have convinced yourself you don’t have any other time available. Your goals\, your job\, and what you want to accomplish in life become your priority. \nMark 4:19 Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age\, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches\, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word\, and it becomes fruitless. (AMPC) \nIf this is a description of your current walk\, you will not be ready. There is nothing wrong with discerning the times. However\, don’t just look at what is going on around you. Look at what is going on within you. \n2 Corinthians 13:5 Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence\, not mere hearsay\, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test\, do something about it. (MSG) \nBe diligent in your pursuit of God. Then you will know\, with assurance\, you will be ready when Christ returns. The world would like to convince you all you believe is a myth. Do you want to still be here after the rapture? \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I want to be ready when Jesus returns. I know He is soon to return because I look at the things happening every day. While looking at the world\, I also take time to look at my life. I ask myself what I have accomplished. I tell myself it is natural for me to set personal goals that I want to achieve and be proud of. I repent for those times when my desire to fulfill my personal goals caused me to risk not fulfilling Your spiritual ones. I am sorry I was not spending enough time; I was not spending dedicated time; and I was not spending consecrated time with You. I don’t want to fit You in or talk to You whenever I get a chance. That is a dangerous way to live. I will set aside time to be in Your presence. I will set aside time to study Your word. I want You to count me worthy. You reward the diligent. I will be diligent in seeking You. I want to hear You and know it’s You speaking\, because we have a relationship. Thank You for the command. Help me heed it… \n\nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 4:18
DESCRIPTION:1 John 4:18 Fear cannot co-exist in this love realm. The perfect love union that we are talking about expels fear. Fear holds on to an expectation of crisis and judgment [which brings separation] and interpret it as due punishment [a form of karma!] It echoes torment and only registers in someone who does not realize the completeness of their love union [with the Father\, Son and Spirit and with one another.] (TMB) \nWhat is your heart filled with? \nBeing stifled by fear can become a habit. You can also make a habit of allowing self-pity\, defeat\, anxiety\, despair\, hopelessness\, and resignation to govern your response to life. You can eliminate all of these negative habits by walking in the love of God. Though this statement may sound insensitive and impossible\, it is true. All you have to do is choose. There is only space for one choice in your heart. You will either fill it with fear or the peace God has provided. There will be times when the enemy will try to make you feel fear. Here is another acronym for fear: \n\nF-Favored\n\nRomans 1:5-6 It is through Him that we have received grace (God’s unmerited favor) and [our] apostleship to promote obedience to the faith and make disciples for His name’s sake among all the nations\, 6 And this includes you\, called of Jesus Christ and invited [as you are] to belong to Him. (AMPC) \n\nE-Empowered\n\n1 Corinthians 12:11 All these things [the gifts\, the achievements\, the abilities\, the empowering] are brought about by one and the same [Holy] Spirit\, distributing to each one individually just as He chooses. (AMP) \n\nA-Accepted\n\nEphesians 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace\, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. (NKJV) \n\nR-Renewed\n\nEphesians 4:22-24 that\, regarding your previous way of life\, you put off your old self [completely discard your former nature]\, which is being corrupted through deceitful desires\, 23 and be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh\, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude]\, 24 and put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature]\, created in God’s image\, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. (AMP) \nDon’t accept the sense of fear\, the enemy sent. Say to yourself\, “I am not afraid; I am favored; I am empowered; I am accepted; and I am renewed”. Arm yourself with the truth. Your heavenly Father is with you always. He will never leave you\, nor forsake you. Stand against destructive words and defeating thoughts. \n2 Corinthians 10:5 We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture\, like prisoners of war\, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One. (TPT) \nReplace destructive emotions with cheerfulness\, gratitude\, inspiration\, confidence\, excitement\, hope\, joy\, optimism\, boldness\, and any other positive emotion you can name. \n2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power\, and of love\, and of a sound mind. (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for teaching me to walk in Your truth and Your love. I don’t have to be afraid. I have to stop making room for anxiety and anguish. I repent for every time I allowed those feelings to overtake me. I know they show up because I allow them to. They stay because I do not fight them. Help me cast down every imagination\, word\, argument\, idea\, philosophy\, thought\, and emotion that stands in opposition to Your word. Please continue to remind me to stand on the truth\, not on what I feel. There is no room in my mind for both negativity and Your love. Help me choose You always. Your love gets rid of my tendency to see things from the wrong perspective. Your love allows me to look at what seems like a damaging thing\, and see how You can change the outcome to make me better. What the enemy means for my destruction\, You can use to be a blessing to me and bring glory to Your name. I am the only one who stands in the way. I must change my attitude about the circumstances and situations I encounter. If I do\, I will see and receive Your blessings. You are the source of my joy and of my peace. You give me the assurance of a life full of blessings from You. Thank You for this instruction and revelation… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Kings 19:21
DESCRIPTION:1 Kings 19:21 So Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them. He used the wood from the plow to build a fire to roast their flesh. He passed around the meat to the townspeople\, and they all ate. Then he went with Elijah as his assistant. (NKJV) \nDo you still have your own provision made? \nIn 1 Kings 19: 19-21\, Elisha destroyed all that he associated with his former life when he heeded God’s call. He did not want to leave anything behind to go back to if things got hard. Your commitment to God has to be complete. If you try to do this halfway\, it will not work.  \nLuke 14:33 “Simply put\, if you’re not willing to take what is dearest to you\, whether plans or people\, and kiss it good-bye\, you can’t be my disciple”. (MSG) \nEven with full commitment\, the enemy is always looking for ways to trip you up. If he gets in a good hit\, don’t turn back. Take the provision God has provided and keep moving forward.  \n1 Corinthians 10:13 We all experience times of testing\, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity\, nature\, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust him more\, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously. (TPT) \nDestroy your ties to those things you feel will be your comfort zone to return to. That means relationships\, habits\, places you frequented\, etc. Don’t give yourself a way out. \nJohn 6:67-68 Then said Jesus unto the twelve\, will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him\, Lord\, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (KJV) \nWhen all you have is what God provides for you\, you are in the right place. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for teaching me to get rid of anything I think I might\, even if only possibly\, use as a crutch or a Plan B. I don’t want an easy path back to my comfort zone. I want to be in Your perfect will and under Your provision. I know sometimes I don’t understand what’s going on. I repent for being like the children of Israel\, thinking it would be better if I had just stayed in Egypt. I know those are thoughts the enemy plants in my mind. I have to bring them under subjection to Your authority. There’s nowhere else for me to go\, as Simon Peter said. If I’m not with You\, where am I going to be. I know who You are. I know I cannot make it without You. Help me cast down every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of Your amazing power and will for my life. Help me stand strong when it gets hard and commit myself to You wholeheartedly… \n  \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 1:1
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly\, nor standeth in the way of sinners\, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (KJV) \nAre you blessed? \nYou serve an amazing God. He chose you\, knowing who you were and what you would and would not do. He made a way for you to be blessed. He gave you the key. When you want to be blessed: \n\nYou don’t ask for advice from people who don’t love God. \n\nProverbs 4:19 The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know what makes them stumble. (NKJV) \n\nWhy? Because you know they will not use God’s truth and love to help solve a problem. \n\nProverbs 14:12 You can rationalize it all you want and justify the path of error you have chosen\, but you’ll find out in the end that you took the road to destruction. (TPT) \n\nYou also don’t ask for advice from people who say they love God\, but don’t live like it. \n\nPsalms 64:2 Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked\, From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity. (NKJV) \n\nWhy? Because you may make the mistake of having a best friend who is unsaved or carnal. Their motivation is self-serving (refer to item 1.)\n\nMatthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other\, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon”. (NKJV) \n\nYou don’t frequent places where sinners congregate and fellowship. \n\nEphesians 5:11 Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds and enterprises of darkness\, but instead [let your lives be so in contrast as to] expose and reprove and convict them. (AMPC) \n\nWhy? Because you don’t want to damage your witness. I know you go to the club to evangelize. How many have you led to the Lord? Birds of a feather flock together. \n\n2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them\, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness? (AMPC) \n\nYou don’t join with those who see life from a place of disdain and criticism. \n\nJeremiah 15:17 I did not sit in the assembly of the mockers\, Nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because of Your hand\, For You have filled me with indignation. (NKJV) \n\nWhy? Because you know God has provided peace and an expected end for the best life you can have. There is no place for negative talk in the life of a believer. \n\nColossians 4:6 Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation\, not put them down\, not cut them out. (MSG) \nPsalms 1:1 arms you with what you need for the blessings of God to flow continually. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for blessing me. Thank You for giving me the key to receive Your blessings without end. I repent when I did not get my advice from You and You alone. I know it should not come from those who do not have respect for You and Your way. I don’t want You to always see me in places with people who don’t love You. I don’t want to cause anyone to stumble\, thinking my love for You is not real. I don’t want to look at life from a perspective of anger and disappointment. Your word says: all things work together for the good\, to those who love You and are the called according to Your purpose. I love You and I am called according to Your purpose. “All things” means my life and everything I encounter as I live it. I bless Your name… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \n

SUMMARY:Mark 10:48
DESCRIPTION:Mark 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal\, Thou Son of David\, have mercy on me. (KJV) \nWho is holding on to the end of your rope? \nWhen you are truly desperate\, no one can stop you from getting the help you need. Why is it you have to do everything you know to do\, first? Do you find the answer when you read self-help and inspirational books\, watch motivational videos\, talk to the spiritual people you respect\, and even talk to non-spiritual people you think are wise? Usually\, the answer is no. Finally\, you say\, “I give up”. Then you go to God. It is unfortunate that most of the time\, you have to get to the end of your rope. When you’ve exhausted yourself\, which\, by the way\, is the best place to be. He is there. \n2 Corinthians 12:9-10 And He said to me\, “My grace is sufficient for you\, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities\, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities\, in reproaches\, in needs\, in persecutions\, in distresses\, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak\, then I am strong. (NKJV) \nSpend more time in presence of the Lord. You will talk to Him about everything\, seek Him for answers\, and wait to hear what He has to say. Then\, when you have a problem\, you will go to Him first\, without all the detours. \nProverbs 3:5-7 Lean on\, trust in\, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know\, recognize\, and acknowledge Him\, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. (AMPC) \nWhether you go to Him first or after trying to fix it on your own\, you need to be at the end of you. Otherwise\, you will still try to “help” God resolve your situation. God is your answer and you know it. Why is it\, a good bit of the time\, you don’t act like it? However\, when you are in an extreme place\, you are like a fanatic. You won’t allow anything to get in your way. It is sad you have to be overwhelmed before you call on God. He is there\, at the end of your rope. What a powerful weapon.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I repent for thinking there was a way I could fix any problem without Your guidance. I know You are the ultimate and complete answer to everything even though I don’t always act like it. Thank You for bringing me back from wherever I was and reminding me my desperation for You should be continual; not just when I am overwrought with anxiety. I should seek You\, for Your answers\, for Your love\, and Your guidance. I don’t have all the information needed to make the best decision unless I get them from You. I don’t want to be at the end of my rope when I come to You. I want to come to You\, at all times\, for all things… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 6:5
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest\, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets\, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you\, they have their reward. (KJV) \nWhat type of prayers are you praying? \nArmor with holes\, kinks\, rust spots\, etc. does not work well. Prayer is the oil\, the mender\, the forge and blacksmith keeping the armor working. Because of prayer\, which is your communication with God\, you can miss the pitfalls\, the stumbling blocks\, and any other things that can damage your armor.  \nPsalms 107:6-7 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble\, And He delivered them out of their distresses. 7 And He led them forth by the right way\, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. (NKJV) \nYou want your prayers to build a relationship between you and God. When you spend time worshiping\, praying\, and sitting in the presence of Lord\, you transition from servant to friend.  \n2 Corinthians 13:9b We also pray for this\, that you be made complete [fully restored\, growing and maturing in godly character and spirit—pleasing your heavenly Father by the life you live]. (AMP) \nGod is always trying to show you the pitfalls and cause you to learn from what you have already experienced. However\, when you are far from Him\, you don’t listen\, and you don’t see.  \nMark 8:17b-18 Do you not yet discern or understand? Are your hearts in [a settled state of] hardness? 18 Having eyes\, do you not see [with them]\, and having ears\, do you not hear and perceive and understand the sense of what is said? And do you not remember? (AMPC) \nGod is always speaking. If you don’t talk to Him regularly\, His sound becomes white noise.  \nIsaiah 28:23 Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. (NIV) \nIsaiah 30:21 Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say\, “This is the way you should go\, whether to the right or to the left.” (NLT) \nEffectual and fervent prayer\, coming from a pure heart\, brings you close and opens your ears. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I want my armor to be in full working condition. I repent for allowing it to get in disrepair. I know it has to be in mint condition if I am going to be effective for You. Thank You for showing me how to clean off the rust\, patch the holes\, and smooth out the kinks. It brings me joy to spend time in Your presence. You open my ears of understanding. You point out to me what I need to do and where I need to go. You show me the obstacles I wouldn’t see without You. I thank You for loving me and caring about me. I want You to call me friend. It means You can trust me with information\, knowing I will do the God-like thing with it. I believe You want to call me friend as well. I am submitting myself to You. Please do in me what needs to be done. Teach me how to pray character building and life transforming prayers that will cause You to call me friend… \n  \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 3:18
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth\, and length\, and depth\, and height. (KJV) \nDo you understand God’s love? \nWhat is your response to the question? Most believers would say\, “Of course I understand God’s love”. Can you explain it to someone who does not understand love at all? In the movie\, Meet Joe Black\, William Parish tries to explain what love is: \nWilliam Parrish: Trust\, responsibility\, taking the weight for your choices and feelings\, and spending the rest of your life living up to them. And above all\, not hurting the object of your love. \nJoe Black: So that’s what love is\, according to William Parrish? \nWilliam Parrish: Multiply it by infinity\, and take it to the depth of forever\, and you will still have barely a glimpse of what I’m talking about. \nThat is a pretty good definition. However\, there is still much more. If you tried to give an explanation\, how would you do it? Would you give them a scripture? \nJohn 3:16 For God so loved the world\, that he gave his only begotten Son\, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish\, but have everlasting life. (KJV) \nHow would you make the definition personal? Would you begin with your experiences with the love of God? Would you share how He demonstrated His love in your life? Would you talk about some pivotal encounters with Him that deepened your understanding of His love? Would you testify to how much more you show your love for Him and to others because of those encounters? Would you say they would understand better if they read the Bible and talked to other believers? While explaining God’s love\, it is important to make sure you let them know that is not like the love human beings give. It does not come and go depending on feeling and trials and tribulations of life. \nTrying to explain the love of God can be a daunting task because His love is so overwhelming. A person could read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. By some miracle\, they could speak to every Christian\, past\, present\, and future\, to hear their experiences with Him. Even then\, even then\, they would only get a fragment of the knowledge needed to explain and understand the vastness of God’s love. Paul tried to provide a deeper understanding.  \nRomans 8:38-39 So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death\, life’s troubles\, fallen angels\, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. 39 There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love\, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus\, the Anointed One! (TPT) \nBefore you end the explanation\, here is a quote you can use: \nGod’s love goes beyond what you were and what you have done; who you are and what you are doing; and who you will be and what you might do. It covers you completely and presents you\, without a single flaw\, before the Father. Dr. Pamela Russell \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I can talk about Your love. I can write about Your love\, preach about it\, and teach on it. When it really gets down to it\, I only have a glimpse. What I know is only the tip of the iceberg. Even in this lesson\, I repent if I left the reader thinking I had “the” answer. I only have the best answer I can give up to this point. The magnitude of Your love for me\, and the entire universe\, goes beyond my ability to comprehend or express\, yet I try. However\, I don’t leave it as the last try. I search for a deeper understanding of Your love\, every day. In my quest\, I fall more in love with You. When I think about what You do because You love me and what You do because You love the world\, there is nothing to compare it to. There is no frame of reference. There is nothing I have or ever will experience that would help me make sense of it. To say that I am in awe of Your love; I am overwhelmed by Your love; and I am consumed by Your love are just words that my intellect can understand\, though my heart struggles to. It is full to the bursting point. I do my best to accept Your love\, embrace Your love\, and show You my gratitude for Your love… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Peter 4:7
DESCRIPTION:1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober\, and watch unto prayer. (KJV) \nAre you ready for the end of all things? \nHow often do you hear the statement “The end is near” or “The Lord is soon to return”? What does it mean to you? How does it affect you? People have been saying one or both statements for 100’s of years. They will continue to say them for 100’s more\, unless Jesus returns. Believers often use those statements when something morally\, ethically and/or socially degrading happens (a sign of the times). Whether or not you are marking events\, the end is coming.  \nJames 5:8-9 You also be patient. Establish your hearts\, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 9 Do not grumble against one another\, brethren\, lest you be condemned. Behold\, the Judge is standing at the door! (NKJV) \nReflecting on the time of Jesus’ return should bring a sense of joy. It marks the end of suffering\, hurting\, pain\, sinning\, and needing to repent. The battle will be over\, and the victory will be won. Heaven is in view. \nRevelation 21:3-5 I heard a loud shout from the throne\, saying\, “Look\, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them\, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes\, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” 5 And the one sitting on the throne said\, “Look\, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me\, “Write this down\, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.” (NLT) \nTo prepare for this time\, you should be self-controlled in all things\, showing forgiveness\, loving at a greater dimension\, and continuing in prayer.  \nHebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider and give attentive\, continuous care to watching over one another\, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities\, 25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers]\, as is the habit of some people\, but admonishing (warning\, urging\, and encouraging) one another\, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. (AMPC) \nYou are still the only bible some will read. As you prepare\, help someone else prepare as well. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I look forward to the return of Jesus and to coming home to be with You. I repent for those days when I allowed the state of the world and the things happening in it to make me sad. I have finally come to the place where I no longer get depressed over what I see. I have joy. I look until I see Your hand at work\, and I have peace. What I feel is not morbid or suicidal\, it’s just true. This world will end\, and I will be with You forever. I love the life You have given me. I will work and serve until You return. My divine purpose is to reconcile the world to You and we all will spend eternity in heaven. This change in perspective and attitude is such a relief. I am no longer holding on to this life like it is all I have. I will do what You sent me to do until Jesus returns. I am filled with unspeakable joy. I wait in confident anticipation. I have a blessed assurance of His return.… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 6:17
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 6:17b and the sword of the Spirit\, which is the word of God. (KJV) \nHow are you using the word? \nArmed with the word of God\, there is nothing you cannot do.  \n2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction\, for conviction [of sin]\, for correction [of error and restoration to obedience]\, for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will\, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man (servant) of God may be complete and proficient\, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work. (AMP\, edited) \nHaving your assignment\, from the Father\, stopped is not even a consideration. Just as Jesus used the word when the enemy came to tempt Him\, you have to do the same. You must say with confidence\, “it is written.” You cannot get that kind of confidence just by reading the Bible. You have to study it\, memorize it and apply it to your life.  \n2 Timothy 2:15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial)\, a workman who has no cause to be ashamed\, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. (AMPC) \nIt is not enough to go to church and listen to the revelations God gave to pastors and elders. You have to get your own. The word has many purposes in the life of the Christian. In addition to what we read in 2 Timothy 3:16-17\, it also lights your path (Psalm 119:105); gives you wisdom (Colossians 3:16)\, increases your faith (Romans 10:17)\, and sustains your joy (Jeremiah 15:16). The word will bless you (Luke 11:28).  \nThe word is your foundational for what you believe\, your principles\, and your education. Use the weapon God gave you to establish everything you think\, do\, and say. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You are the Word. I thank You\, I can run to the word. I know I will find answers to any and every problem\, dilemma\, or situation I will ever face. Whether the concern is spiritual\, family related\, about relationships\, or concerning business; the answer is in the Word. I thank You for it. I don’t have to guess what to do. I don’t have to figure out how to respond. I repent for those times when I tried to move according to my wisdom. Experiences\, whether I saw them as tough or easy\, have taught me to go to Your Word. I thank You because I use Your Word to lift and not tear down. You guide my tongue to make sure I bless and enrich those I speak to. I thank You… \n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
