SUMMARY:Romans 12:1
DESCRIPTION:Romans 12:1 Live consistent with who you really are\, inspired by the loving kindness of God. My brothers\, the most practical expression of worship is to make your bodies available to him as a living sacrifice; this pleases him more than any religious routine. He desires to find visible\, individual expression in your person. (TMB) \nAre you giving reasonable worship? \nWhat is worship? What exactly did God create you to do?  \nRomans 12:2 Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead\, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you\, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you\, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity\, God brings the best out of you\, develops well-formed maturity in you. (MSG) \nWorship is honor\, reverence and esteem\, in thought\, feeling\, and/or action. You are a triune being\, meaning you comprise mind\, body\, and spirit. Therefore\, you worship God: \n\nWith your mind\, all the thoughts and feelings you have should glorify Him.\n\nPhilippians 4:8-9 Finally\, brothers and sisters\, fill your minds with beauty and truth. Meditate on whatever is honorable\, whatever is right\, whatever is pure\, whatever is lovely\, whatever is good\, whatever is virtuous and praiseworthy. 9 Keep to the script: whatever you learned and received and heard and saw in me—do it—and the God of peace will walk with you. (TVT) \n\nWith your body\, physically you should honor Him. \n\nRomans 6:13 So then\, refuse to answer its call to surrender your body as a tool for wickedness. Instead\, passionately answer God’s call to keep yielding your body to him as one who has now experienced resurrection life! You live now for his pleasure\, ready to be used for his noble purpose. (TPT) \n\nWith your spirit\, originating from within; sincere and motivated by your love for Him. \n\nJohn 4:24 “God is Spirit\, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (NKJV) \nThat covers all of you. Worship is the presentation of all of you to the God who conceived you\, formed you and gave you life. This is why God created you. This is what God wants from you. The phrase “reasonable service” means “ that which conforms to the lógos .” It is more correctly defined as “spiritual service.”  \n1 Peter 2:4-5  So keep coming to him who is the Living Stone—though he was rejected and discarded by men but chosen by God and is priceless in God’s sight. 5 Come and be his “living stones” who are continually being assembled into a sanctuary for God. For now you serve as holy priests\, offering up spiritual sacrifices that he readily accepts through Jesus Christ. (TPT) \nYour worship leads you to offer yourself completely to do what God requires\, not only what makes sense to you. If you are unsure of God’s requirements\, you can find them in His word. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I spent a lot of years doing what I thought was my reasonable service and I repent. I hadn’t devoted enough time in Your presence to understand You wanted my spiritual service. I believe the service I gave was a blessing to You. However\, I did a great deal of what I did because of tradition. It was how my father raised me and what he taught me to do. I never really stopped to wonder if I was doing what You required or even what You destined me to do. Thank You for revelation. Now\, I understand not only do You want me to serve out of obedience to the authority in my life; You also want my mind\, my will\, my body\, and my love. You want me to think about You and have You at the center of my life\, at all times. You want my heart to be full of You\, and my actions to demonstrate who You are in my life. Your word says\, “For as he thinketh in his heart\, so is he”. I did a lot of things because I was mimicking my spiritual leaders and peers because they loved You. I thought it meant because I did them\, I was showing You I loved You too. Now I think about the things I do because I want to make sure I am being a blessing to You. Will You be pleased? Is this what You want from me? Some of the things I do have changed and some have not. I’m grateful to know the difference… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Corinthians 14:25
DESCRIPTION:1 Corinthians 14:25 By witnessing the gift of the word of knowledge\, where something that could not be known in any other way comes to light\, the visitor will be struck with awe and acknowledge God in you and will yield himself to God in worship. (TMB) \nAre you allowing God to use you to show His power? \nAs a believer\, there is an expectation for God to manifest himself in the midst of His people. Just as He did in the days of old\, you want Him to do now. \n2 Chronicles 5:13b-14 And when they praised the Lord\, saying\, “For He is good\, for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever\,” then the house of the Lord was filled with a cloud\, 14 so that the priests could not remain standing to minister because of the cloud; for the glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the house of God. (AMP) \nBeing unable to stand is one way you could respond to the presence of God. However\, there are other ways. One of which is prophecy.  \n2 Peter 1:21 No true prophecy comes from human initiative but is inspired by the moving of the Holy Spirit upon those who spoke the message that came from God. (TPT) \nI have you been in a service when the preacher or prophet called someone up and spoke to them about things only God could have told them. I watched and listened as the word affected and most probably changed the person’s life. Though I believe and trust God\, it was and is still an extraordinary experience. If you have had that experience\, I am sure you would agree with me. If you have not\, it is an experience you will not soon forget. What do you think would happen if someone who does not know God saw that happen? There is a story in John 4 about a woman at a well who had this very experience.  \nJohn 4:39 Meanwhile\, because one woman shared with her neighbors how Jesus exposed her past and present\, the village of Sychar was transformed—many Samaritans heard and believed. (TVT) \nWhen there are unbelievers in the midst\, the ability for the man or the woman of God to share something\, only God could have told them\, validates the truth of God.  \n1 Corinthians 14:3 But when someone prophesies\, he speaks to encourage people\, to build them up\, and to bring them comfort. (TPT) \nWorship is the natural response to the presence and the power of God. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have been in worship services where Your presence was almost tangible; it rested like a thick blanket. I’ve seen men and women of God submit themselves to be used by You. You worked miracles in the lives of those who were there. I’ve also witnessed unbelievers come to know You are real because of what they saw. I repent for those times when I acted like a spectator and not a participator. Though the word was not being given to me\, the waters were stirred. I could have stepped in and received from You as well. Every time I see a miracle\, an extraordinary manifestation of Your power\, it reaffirms the awesome God I serve\, and it brings me into a place of worship. I don’t worship You because of the things You do. I worship You because You have the power to do them. I worship You because of Who You are… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 9:1
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 9:1 Even that first covenant had rules and regulations about how to worship and how to set up an earthly sanctuary for God. (TVT) \nWhere do you worship? \nThe Old Covenant provided the commands for worship\, where they would worship\, what procedures they should follow\, and how they should follow them. However\, the policies and procedures they had did not give them personal or continual access. Only the high priest could approach God’s throne\, and then only once a year.  \nHebrews 9:7 And the high priest was permitted to enter into the Holiest Sanctuary of All only once a year and he could never enter without first offering sacrificial blood for both his own sins and for the sins of the people. (TPT) \nThe sacrificial rituals could not connect them to the Father in an authentic way. The people didn’t get it\, and they remained in slavery to sin. There was a need for a new way\, a new covenant. Jesus Christ was and is the message and the sacrifice of the New Covenant. \nHebrews 9:12\,15 With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. 15 That is why he is the one who mediates a new covenant between God and people\, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had committed under that first covenant. (AMP) \nThe Holy Spirit transforms the heart\, and eternal life is the promised inheritance. Worship is no longer confined to an earthly sanctuary.  \nJohn 4:21 Jesus saith unto her\, Woman\, believe me\, the hour cometh\, when ye shall neither in this mountain\, nor yet at Jerusalem\, worship the Father. (KJV) \nThe sanctuary where Jesus serves as the high priest\, and ever lives to make intercession for you\, is in heaven.  \nHebrews 9:24 For Christ (the Messiah) has not entered into a sanctuary made with [human] hands\, only a copy and pattern and type of the true one\, but [He has entered] into heaven itself\, now to appear in the [very] presence of God on our behalf. (AMPC) \nYou access the holy sanctuary through the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead\, which is also in you.  \nRomans 8:9 But you do not live in the flesh. You live in the Spirit\, assuming\, of course\, that the Spirit of God lives inside of you. The truth is that anyone who does not have the Spirit of the Anointed living within does not belong to God. (TVT) \nNow\, you take worship wherever you go. You do not confine worship to a particular place or a certain type of service. God seated you in the heavenly place with Christ. \nEphesians 2:6 He raised us up with Christ the exalted One\, and we ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm\, for we are now co-seated as one with Christ! (TPT) \nBecause of these truths\, don’t allow worship to only be what you do or where you do it. Desire worship to be who you are. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, there is a song that comes to my mind as I pray. Lord\, keep me day by day\, in a pure and perfect way. I want to live; I want to live on. In a building not made by hand. I have sung that song. At the time\, I did not really meditate on the meaning of the lyrics. It never occurred to me to meditate on them\, and I repent. As You were writing this devotional day through me\, You brought them back to my remembrance. I will make this the continual expression of my heart. I need You to keep me pure day by day because I can’t keep myself. Every time I falter\, I need You to purify me by Your power. I want to worship in a building not made by hands. I want to worship in Your holy sanctuary. As I am seated with Christ\, yet still here on earth\, I want to worship. Ultimately\, I want to bow before You in reverence and adoration throughout eternity. I don’t want worship to only be what I do. I want worship to be who I am. That is my goal and nothing else will do …Ask \nlord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Corinthians 2:15
DESCRIPTION:2 Corinthians 2:15 In a turbulent world where people are either dying or being rescued\, we are the sweet smell of the Anointed to God our Father. (TVT) \nWhat scent does your worship have? \nThere are terms like knockoff\, faux\, generic\, etc. These are words that are used to describe a product or emotions that look like the real thing and might be mistaken for the real thing. However\, the product or emotion is not authentic. The product usually has some defects and/or deficiencies. A person contrives the emotion to trick/mislead. What are some ways this happens? The manufacture makes a purse using cheaper materials. The smile is hiding rage. The fan belt broke because it was not durable. You pretend to be surprised\, when really you knew all along. The jacket does not have the feel of the real thing. You can turn the tears on and off on cue. You can also apply these examples to worship. \nMatthew 15:7-9 “Frauds and hypocrites! Isaiah described you perfectly when he said: 8 These people honor me only with their words\, for their hearts are so very distant from me. 9 They pretend to worship me\, but their worship is nothing more than the empty traditions of men.” (TPT) \nIs worship “what you do”\, lifting your hands at the right time? Being directed on when you should stand\, when you should run\, when you should cry. Is there deliverance and breakthrough in your worship? Or is worship just an activity you participate in for the emotional benefit? \n2 Timothy 3:5a For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion)\, they deny and reject and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. (AMPC) \nHave you come to the place in your relationship with Christ where worship is “who you are”?  \nPsalm 103:1 With my whole heart\, with my whole life\, and with my innermost being\, I bow in wonder and love before you\, the holy God! (TPT) \nIf you worship is who you are: \n\nYour worship glorifies God and lifts Him high. \n\nRevelation 5:13 And I heard every created thing that is in heaven or on earth or under the earth [in Hades\, the realm of the dead] or on the sea\, and everything that is in them\, saying [together]\, “To Him who sits on the throne\, and to the Lamb (Christ)\, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” (AMP) \n\nYour worship delights God. \n\nPsalm 147:11 No\, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him\, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. (NLT) \n\nYour worship ushers you and those around you into the presence of God. \n\nHebrews 10:19-22 Therefore\, brothers and sisters\, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus\, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain\, that is\, his body\, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God\, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings\, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. (NIV) \n\nYour worship transforms you. \n\n2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all\, with unveiled face\, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord\, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory\, which comes from the Lord\, [who is] the Spirit. (AMP) \n\nYour worship accomplishes spiritual warfare; and \n\n2 Chronicles 20:21-22 When he had consulted with the people\, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised Him in their holy (priestly) attire\, as they went out before the army and said\, “Praise and give thanks to the Lord\, for His mercy and lovingkindness endure forever.” 22 When they began singing and praising\, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon\, Moab\, and Mount Seir\, who had come against Judah; so they were struck down [in defeat]. (AMP) \n\nYour worship demonstrates the truth and realness of God to an unbelieving world. \n\nMatthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy\, noble\, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. (AMPC) \nImitation worship may fool everyone else\, only pure worship goes up as a sweet-smelling savor to the Lord. \nPsalm 96:9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; tremble before and reverently fear Him\, all the earth. (AMPC) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, I love You. I repent for any time my life and how I have lived it did not come up as a sweet-smelling savor to You. Continue to work on me until I don’t have to say I am a worshiper; it will show. I never want worship to just be something I do. I will stay in Your presence until worship is a description of who I am. I don’t want a knockoff\, generic or faux relationship with You. I want my relationship with You to be true and pure. If it is\, then my worship will be as well. I want the worship I give to You\, to transform my conversation\, my life\, my thoughts\, my attitude\, and my actions. I want the worship I give to You to bring people into Your presence. I want the worship I give to You\, to inspire people to want to know You. I want the worship I give to You\, to be real\, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Colossians 2:23
DESCRIPTION:Colossians 2:23 Religious tradition appears to be very devout and its followers seem to be so humble and holy in their strict observance of rules that seek to control the behavior of the body. The only problem with this is that the flesh is never permanently satisfied. (TMB)  \nIs tradition more important to you? \nThere are traditions that lay an amazing foundation for beginning your relationship with The Father. However\, your genuine relationship with God is spiritual\, not one driven by rules and regulations.  \nJohn 4:23-24 “But a time is coming and is already here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit [from the heart\, the inner self] and in truth; for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. 24 God is spirit [the Source of life\, yet invisible to mankind]\, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (AMP) \nYou can wear a dress that touches your knees or wear pants instead; you can dress up in a suit and tie or wear shorts and flip-flops; you can wear makeup or not; you can go to the movies or not; you can stay in church from dusk to dawn or only spend an hour and a half\, etc. The traditions you adhere to are not wrong\, however\, they cannot sanctify you.  \nHebrews 10:1-4  We have seen how the law is simply a shadow of the good things to come. Since it is not the perfect form of these ultimate realities\, the offering year after year of these imperfect sacrifices cannot bring perfection to those who come forward to worship. 2 If they had served this purpose\, wouldn’t the repetition of these sacrifices have become unnecessary? If they had worked—and cleansed the worshipers—then one sacrifice would have taken away their consciousness of sin. 3 But these sacrifices actually remind us that we sin again and again\, year after year. 4 In the end\, the blood of bulls and of goats is powerless to take away sins. (TVT) \nIf you do research\, you will find the Pharisees added an additional 248 commandments and 365 prohibitions to the ten commandments. Yet\, the additional rules did not work any better than the ten the Lord gave. Rules\, laws\, and prohibitions could not regulate the behavior not of the Israelites\, and not of any human being. Which is why Jesus had to become our sacrifice.  \nGalatians 2:16 We know very well that we are not set right with God by rule-keeping but only through personal faith in Jesus Christ. How do we know? We tried it—and we had the best system of rules the world has ever seen! Convinced that no human being can please God by self-improvement\, we believed in Jesus as the Messiah so that we might be set right before God by trusting in the Messiah\, not by trying to be good. (MSG) \nThere will always be a need for one more rule if we use the Pharisees’ method. Why\, because there will always be a loophole\, an oversight\, etc. in the previous rule. Don’t get so caught up in making sure you adhere to the traditions that you lose sight of the God you serve. Spend time cultivating a relationship with God; it will guide your behavior. You can uphold a tradition and request that others do the same. However\, make sure you understand what the tradition is\, the reasons you defend it\, and how it glorifies God.  \nPhilippians 3:3 For we have already experienced “heart-circumcision\,” and we worship God in the power and freedom of the Holy Spirit\, not in laws and religious duties. We are those who boast in what Jesus Christ has done\, and not in what we can accomplish in our own strength. (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, as I think back over my childhood\, there were more rules and regulations than I could count or break. Rules dictated what I could wear to church and what I couldn’t. Where I could sit in church and where I couldn’t. What I could say in church and what I couldn’t. Now I understand it was never a matter of whether or not those traditions were necessary; You wanted my heart. I repent for every time I conformed to a tradition because I was obligated or forced to. Thank You for teaching me You wanted me to reverence You. You wanted me to choose You because I understood and appreciated the fact that You deserved my choice. Sometimes it was difficult to tell the difference and I am sorry. I should have asked You. In all the regulations and rules\, seeking You was not one of them. Yet\, You did not leave me ignorant. You called to me. You taught me if I continue to spend time with You\, I can hold on to some traditions because I choose to if I feel they bring me any closer to You. They are a part of my heritage. You also taught me their purpose\, which gave me the liberty and helped me decide to keep them or not. My choice is to do what brings me closer to You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 4:24
DESCRIPTION:John 4:24 God is spirit\, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. (KJV) \nAre you being true in your worship? \nThe Bible says\, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6).” However\, there are prerequisites to worship.  \nFirst\, you must acknowledge Jesus as the way to the Lord. \nJohn 14:6 Jesus said to him\, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (AMP) \nSecond\, salvation is how you acknowledge Jesus\, and through salvation you claim Him as LORD.  \nRomans 10:9 because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power\, authority\, and majesty as God]\, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead\, you will be saved. (AMP) \nOnce saved\, you can worship because salvation identifies who God is. When you know who God is\, worship is the natural response. You worship knowing God is a Spirit\, not flesh and blood. You have to worship Him in the Spirit as the scripture for today states (you can also see November 9th). There is no more sacrificing of calves and doves.  \nHebrews 10:4-5 Because the blood of bulls and goats is powerless to take sins away. 5 Hence\, when He [Christ] entered into the world\, He said\, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired\, but instead You have made ready a body for Me [to offer]; (AMPC) \nIt is not enough for you to just show up for church on Sunday or Wednesday or to do the work you do in and for the church.  \nMatthew 7:22-23 Many will say to Me in that day\, ‘Lord\, Lord\, have we not prophesied in Your name\, cast out demons in Your name\, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them\, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me\, you who practice lawlessness!’ (NKJV) \nThough you may sacrifice to show up and/or to work\, the real sacrifice has to be you\, the real and true you\, with all your flaws\, issues and concerns.  \nPsalm 40:6a Doing something for you\, bringing something to you—that’s not what you’re after. Being religious\, acting pious — that’s not what you’re asking for. (MSG) \nPsalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering You do not desire\, nor have You delight in them; You have given me the capacity to hear and obey [Your law\, a more valuable service than] burnt offerings and sin offerings [which] You do not require. (AMPC) \nYour acceptance of God’s invitation to be saved means you believe He is God. Your humble submission to God’s authority means you acknowledge Him as Lord and is the foundation of your worship. You being honest with God about who you are\, what you feel\, and submitting all your frailties and weaknesses makes your worship true. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I confess You are my Lord and acknowledge You as a Spirit. I know if I am to worship You; I have to worship You in spirit. I have to be the sacrifice. I have to lay myself at the altar\, my real self. I repent for all the times I tried to hide stuff or pretend with You. I am not sure why I tried because You Are God. You already know everything about me. All the things have done\, all the things I am doing\, and all the things I will do. Yet You love me still. I might be able to convince people I am sincere when I am not. However\, You can see inside my heart. If I am sincere\, You will see it and receive my worship. If I am not\, You will know it and You won’t accept my offering. You do not make it complicated it at all. It is that cut and dry. You know if I am asking for forgiveness because I truly am repentant or if I am just ashamed because I got caught. One of the many wonderful things about You is\, when there is something wrong in my heart; I can tell You. I am so grateful because not only will You show me why it’s wrong and You will fix it. You want me to be honest with You\, why wouldn’t I. You already know. My honesty gives me the opportunity to enrich my relationship with You\, take ownership of my weaknesses and flaws\, and grow. Thank You for Your compassion\, Your grace and Your mercy… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 23:39
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 23:39 For I declare to you\, you will not see Me again until you say\, Blessed (magnified in worship\, adored\, and exalted) is He Who comes in the name of the Lord! (AMP)  \nDo you see the Lord in all things? \nAnd as you go through life\, sometimes it’s hard to see God. The things you experience\, the situations in your life\, can make you feel God is far away. Especially when you are doing what you know to do to please God and things are not going the way you think they should. When the enemy seems to attack from all sides\, there are things you need to remind yourself of.  \n\nYour God is the Almighty God; do not be afraid.\n\nIsaiah 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear]\, for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed\, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties\, yes\, I will help you; yes\, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice. (AMPC) \n\nGod will sustain you; it does not matter how it looks.\n\nPsalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip\, fall\, or fail). (AMPC) \n\nGod is using your situation for “the” good.\n\nRomans 8:28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God\, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (AMP) \n\nGod is at work; just trust Him and wait. You will make it through.\n\nIsaiah 40:31 But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. They will run—never winded\, never weary. They will walk—never tired\, never faint. (TVT) \n\nBe grateful and thankful\, no matter what. \n\n1 Thessalonians 5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be\, be thankful and give thanks]\, for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]. (AMPC) \nThe reminders will help . You are a soldier; you need to stay ready. How? You worship. \nPhilippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight\, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say\, Rejoice! (AMPC) \nPsalm 118:24 This is the day of the Lord’s victory; let us be happy\, let us celebrate! (GNT) \nIf you worship\, the enemy can’t cause you to see your circumstances from his perspective. You will always see them from the Father’s perspective\, because worship focuses on your Lord and King. To see God in all things\, you have to keep your mind on Him.  \nIsaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you\, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (NLT) \nAs you go through your trials\, your ups and your downs\, be willing to look for God. You must believe God has a plan and whatever situation you are in is a part of it. You must understand His love for you. If you do\, you will find Him and see Him at work\, then you will worship. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, for a long time I struggled with 1 Thessalonians 5:18\, “In all things give thanks.” I realized I was struggling because I could not accept what the passage was asking. I thought if I said “for all things\,” that would be better. When I changed what I said\, I got some relief\, however\, I still had struggles. I repent for trying to make it easier for me. I should have come to You and accepted Your will. You have taught me it doesn’t really matter whether I am thanking You while I am going through or if I am thanking You because I am going through; You are at work. I have to see You in every situation in my life. I have to know You have all things under control. Sometimes the situations are tough. Sometimes my heart is broken. Sometimes tears roll down my face. Thank You for showing me all of those are the natural responses to my situation. The spiritual response\, to any state I am in\, is to remember You love me and give You thanks. Thank You for the tears. I can cry. I can feel the hurt. It is okay. Jesus wept. I need to grow from my experiences\, which I won’t do if I murmur and complain about them. Your hand is on my life. You have a plan for me. The conclusion of the matter is on the other side of all these situations. I see You at work. I will give thanks\, in all things\, for all things\, about all things and any other reason I can give You thanks for I must always remember. nothing comes into my life that has not been filtered through Your hands. If I accept You are in control\, it’s all right… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 95:6
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 95:6 O come\, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. (KJV) \nHave you ever invited someone to worship with you?  \nThere are times when you invite people to your church. There are times when you invite people to a Bible study\, a worship service\, a conference\, or to hear a speaker. You want them to experience God with you. It could be you had a wonderful time previously and you want your guest to have the same experience. Have you ever invited someone to worship with you? Have you ever asked someone to your home\, or did you go to their home just to talk about the amazing God you serve? Not to discuss your problems or to vent about some drama filled encounter; just to say our God is mighty; our God is awesome.  \nPsalm 99:5 Exalt the Lord our God And worship at His footstool; Holy is He. (AMP) \nYour sole purpose for coming together is to prostrate yourselves before God as you meditate on who He is.  \nPsalm 96:9 Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness; Tremble [in submissive wonder] before Him\, all the earth. (AMP) \nWhat a wonderful experience that would be. Practicing what you will do in heaven. \nRevelation 4:10-11The twenty-four elders fell prostrate before the One seated on the throne\, worshiped the One who lives throughout all the ages\, cast their golden wreaths before the throne\, and chanted to Him. (TVT) \nRevelation 7:11-12 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the [twenty-four] elders and the four living creatures; and they fell to their faces before the throne and worshiped God\, 12 saying\, “Amen! Blessing and glory and majesty and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might belong to our God forever and ever. Amen.” (AMP) \nAs you share your understanding of who God is and your friend shares his or her understanding of who God is\, both of you encourage each other and each of you get a greater understanding of who God is.  \nEphesians 3:18-19 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people\, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; 19 [That you may really come] to know [practically\, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ\, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence\, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]! (AMPC) \nAs you speak about His goodness of the God you both serve\, His presence fills the room and compels you to worship. \n1 Chronicles 16:29 Give to the Lord the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his presence. \nWorship the Lord in all his holy splendor. (NLT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, before You wrote this day of the devotional\, it never occurred to me to invite someone to worship with me. I repent because I think it should have. If I don’t need to repent\, then I am sorry because I invite people to do so many other things. I have invited people to church\, to Bible study\, even to prayer. I had never invited someone to worship with me. Because of this day\, I asked someone to spend time with me talking about You\, magnifying You\, and exalting You. I told them\, “Come and worship with me. I want us to bow before the Father\, love on Him and give Him what He is due”. I was excited just thinking about it. I was anticipating Your presence resting on us. I had the experience\, and it was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. Thank You for placing the desire in my heart. Thank You for putting everything in place. You were setting me up to be blessed\, and You blessed us\, exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ask or think. Thank You and I can’t wait for the next time… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Colossians 2:18
DESCRIPTION:Colossians 2:18 Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels\, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud. (NLT) \nAre you humble enough? \nSometimes the Lord will use you in an amazing and truly powerful way. It should not shock or mystify you when God speaks through you to bring a word of prophecy and it changes someone’s life\, or when God uses you to lay hands on someone to heal them\, and/or when God uses you to pray for someone’s deliverance.  \nJohn 14:12 I assure you and most solemnly say to you\, anyone who believes in Me [as Savior] will also do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these [in extent and outreach]\, because I am going to the Father. (AMP) \nYou should\, however\, remember you are not relying on yourself; it is God. Keep in mind\, your anointing comes from God.  \n1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Now there are many kinds of grace gifts\, but they are all from the same Spirit. 5 There are many different ways to serve\, but they’re all directed by the same Lord. 6 There are many amazing working gifts in the church\, but it is the same God who energizes them all in all who have the gifts. 7 Each believer has received a gift that manifests the Spirit’s power and presence. That gift is given for the good of the whole community. (TVT) \nYou have to be careful you are not pulled into a self-glorifying and ultimately self-gratifying spiral. The lack of humility can disguise itself in your need to evaluate and identify the shortcomings of others. When humility is absent\, pride is present. Instead of being supportive and looking for ways to help\, pride will cause you to be judgmental and critical.  \nRomans 12:3 God has given me grace to speak a warning about pride. I would ask each of you to be emptied of self-promotion and not create a false image of your importance. Instead\, honestly assess your worth by using your God-given faith as the standard of measurement\, and then you will see your true value with an appropriate self-esteem. The Passion Translation \nIf you become proud\, it isn’t enough to prophesy to one person. The next thing has to be bigger and better. \nProverbs 16:18 Your boast becomes a prophecy of a future failure. The higher you lift yourself up in pride\, the harder you’ll fall in disgrace. (TPT) \nIf you keep moving along this path\, you will get to the point where someone can call on the phone and get a prophecy on the spot\, for a small fee. Or there will always be an offering attached to the words God gives to you in the forms of lines for various amounts of money\, cloths or other items to buy\, pledges\, etc. Don’t become a circus act or a sideshow where someone can catch your performance at the church. God gave you the gifts and abilities you have to bless\, not for you to create a name for yourself and not for you to monetize. \nMatthew 10:8 Cure the sick\, raise the dead\, cleanse the lepers\, drive out demons. Freely (without pay) you have received\, freely (without charge) give. (AMPC) \nUnfortunately\, when you get to this place\, everything is forced\, and flesh driven. You have an audience and what you give will cost them their money\, their freedom and sadly their worship. You are the franchise player\, you are the act. You focus on the gift and not the Giver. However\, what God requires does not change. What you are doing may appear to be good or moral\, when truly it is not. The amazing thing is\, you will probably help someone because of their faith. That’s why it’s monumentally important to stay in the presence of God\, in order to walk in humility and not pride.  \nProverbs 22:4 The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. (AMPC) \nIf you ask Him to\, God will keep you humble. He will help you remain centered on Him. \n1 Peter 5:5b-6  Yea\, all of you be subject one to another\, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud\, and giveth grace to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God\, that he may exalt you in due time: (KJV) \nThe Father uses humanity\, an undeserving humanity\, to manifest Himself to all who live on this earth. He will make sure the lost will be found. He has a reward for you if  you remain humble. When your daily pursuit and desire is to remain humble\, the enemy will not convince you to speak about the lack in others because you think more highly of yourself than you should. Also\, he cannot trick you into prostituting your anointing. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, it is a blessing to be used by You. It is an honor to speak into the lives of Your people individually or collectively and see Your will done. To be counted worthy by You\, for any task\, is the greatest blessing any believer can have. The enemy\, being the enemy\, wants to challenge the work You do through me and he is unrelenting. He also wants to\, if he can\, defile what You are doing in my life. I repent for any time I thought I deserved any position\, title or place because of the work You did through me. I will make sure I remain humble. You have humbled me before and I don’t want You to have to humble me anymore. I know what it feels like to be broken. I remember when I asked You not to break me anymore. I promised You I would not willfully and knowingly disobey You. I meant it and You have helped me keep my promise to You. I know when I am skirting the edge and I quickly repent in that moment. Thank You for reeling me back in. I want to be a vessel fit for Your use. Fitness has to do with me being humble. It is not me; the work is being done by You\, I’m just a tool. I want You to be able to use me and not have it go to my head… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Job 1:20
DESCRIPTION:Job 1:20 Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head\, and he fell to the ground and worshiped. (KJV) \nCan you worship in tough times? \nHave you or someone you know experienced the loss of someone very close\, a devastation in life\, and/or destruction of an idea or thing that was important? Whether it is the loss of a person\, a friendship or something else important\, the grieving process is necessary. It promotes healing. \nPsalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds [healing their pain and comforting their sorrow]. (AMP) \nEach person handles grief in his or her own way. Some have prolonged grief in reaction to the loss\, which can last for a year or more. Sometimes grief affects close relationships\, disrupts beliefs\, causes anger and the inability to function. Most counselors would consider it inconsiderate and insensitive to require a person to “get over it.”  \n2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed [gratefully praised and adored] be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ\, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort\, 4 who comforts and encourages us in every trouble so that we will be able to comfort and encourage those who are in any kind of trouble\, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (AMP) \nWhat did Job do after he heard about all the tragedies that happened to his family? He did what was tradition during those times. He tore his garment\, which represented his broken heart and overwhelming sorrow. Then he did something most people would find difficult to do. He worshiped. He didn’t hide himself in his room. He didn’t say\, “Why me?” \nJob 1:21 He said\, “Naked (without possessions) I came [into this world] from my mother’s womb\, And naked I will return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (AMP) \nAs a believer\, you know that there will be tough times.  \nJob 14:1We are all born weak and helpless. All lead the same short\, troubled life. (GNT) \nHowever\, you also know He is there with you\, no matter what type of hardship you face. \nPsalms 27:5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. (KJV) \nIt takes a being connected to and cultivating a relationship with the Father for you to worship when you think you’ve lost all you know and all you have.  \nPsalm 42:5 So then\, my soul\, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God\, your Savior. For no matter what\, I will still sing with praise\, for you are my saving grace! (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I would like to say when I have times of difficulty\, hardship\, and loss\, my first response is to worship. I repent because I  know that’s not always true. Yet\, I have hope. I can have a relationship with You where I will worship when things are going wrong. Thank You for the revelation and the transformation. My relationship with You is no longer selfish. I honor You. I accept that everything in my life will not always go my way. I am connected to You and I exalt Your sovereignty above my desire in all things. I will always keep in mind that You are my Lord and King\, and You are due my worship. Thank You for reminding me You don’t cease to be who You are simply because something devastating has happened to me. You are still God. I will continue to seek You\, to study and be in Your presence. As I do\, my trust and faith in You will get stronger and stronger. The day will come when every time trouble comes\, I will worship… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Revelation 19:10
DESCRIPTION:Revelation 19:10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him\, but he said\, “No\, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God\, just like you and your brothers and sisters who testify about their faith in Jesus. Worship only God. For the essence of prophecy is to give a clear witness for Jesus.” (NLT) \nWho are you worshipping? \nDo you worship the man or woman of God who brings His word? Gratitude is the natural response when someone blesses your heart; lifts your burdens; or shines a light for you to see as you walk through the tunnel. Though it is human nature\, it is your responsibility to make sure you don’t deify the speaker. Regardless of charisma\, speaking skills\, or any other admirable quality\, the messenger is just like you.  \nIsaiah 2:22 Stop regarding man\, whose breath [of life] is in his nostrils [for so little time]; For why should he be esteemed? (AMP) \nWhen you put your faith and trust in man\, you set yourself up to be letdown. Human beings will always disappoint you; no matter who they are or what their intentions may be.  \nMatthew 23:9 Don’t set people up as experts over your life\, letting them tell you what to do. Save that authority for God; let him tell you what to do. No one else should carry the title of ‘Father’; you have only one Father\, and he’s in heaven. (MSG) \nYou can be grateful for the one who brought the word. However\, you have to be careful to worship God\, the One Who sent the word. \nMatthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him\, Get thee hence\, Satan: for it is written\, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God\, and him only shalt thou serve. (KJV) \nThe preacher was obedient to hear and willing to speak. You should pray for them because you want them to continue to preach the word\, exhort\, and pray. You don’t worship them; you glorify God. You can and should thank the Lord for the word and the messenger who brought the word. \n1 Peter 4:11 Those who preach must preach God’s messages; those who serve must serve with the strength that God gives them\, so that in all things praise may be given to God through Jesus Christ\, to whom belong glory and power forever and ever. Amen. (GNT) \nWorship and put your faith and trust in God and God alone. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, throughout my life\, there have been Christian men and women who blessed me more than I can say. I’m sure along the way\, I worshiped them and didn’t realize it. I repent. I am sorry for whatever damage I did to them because of the burden associated with being worshipped. I thank You because today; You are the center of my worship. I thank You for them. I pray they are continuing to preach Your word\, to prophesy and to be a vessel You can use. I worship the Creator and not the creation. You alone deserve the glory. Your word healed me\, delivered me and lifted me from whatever place I was in\, to the place You called me to. You sent the word. You knew where I was and what I needed. They were Your messengers. Though I am grateful for them\, I honor\, stand in awe of\, and worship You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Revelation 14:7
DESCRIPTION:Revelation 14:7 Saying with a loud voice\, Fear God\, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven\, and earth\, and the sea\, and the fountains of waters. (KJV) \nWho do you fear? \nThe hour of the Lord’s judgment is coming. God will judge those who have openly said they do not and will not serve Him along with the god they do serve.  \n2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ\, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body\, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been\, and what he has achieved\, been busy with\, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing]. (AMPC) \nAs you look around\, yes\, there are senseless deaths\, newer and more devastating diseases\, wars outside and inside the country\, more opportunities to cater to any and every fleshly lust imaginable. Those who worship money and do not honor God for His blessings seem to be victorious. It may appear as if the devil is winning.  \nJeremiah 12:1 You\, O Lord are [uncompromisingly] righteous and consistently just when I plead my case with You; Yet let me discuss issues of justice with You: Why has the way of the wicked prospered? Why are those who deal in treachery (deceit) at ease and thriving? (AMP) \nThere may even be times when you feel mistreated because you name the name of Christ. You may also feel as if you are being constantly tested; the enemy is trying to see if there is something he could do to make you turn your back on God. Well\, you are right\, on both counts.  \n1 Peter 4:12-13 Beloved friends\, if life gets extremely difficult\, with many tests\, don’t be bewildered as though something strange were overwhelming you. 13 Instead\, continue to rejoice\, for you\, in a measure\, have shared in the sufferings of the Anointed One so that you can share in the revelation of his glory and celebrate with even greater gladness! (TPT) \nWhen you look at all that is going on in the world and you feel yourself fearing what the enemy will do next. Stop yourself. You don’t have to be afraid. Fear is a strategy of the devil; don’t fall into his trap.  \nJohn 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled\, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] (AMPC) \nHave peace in knowing judgment is coming. God will get the victory over the spirit of the anti-Christ\, who has caused the unsaved to resist God’s truth and who has persecuted those who love the Lord.  \nRevelation 20:10 And the devil who had deceived them was hurled into the lake of fire and burning brimstone (sulfur)\, where the beast (Antichrist) and false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night\, forever and ever. (AMP) \nThe only fear you should have is the reverential fear of the God of judgement because of His power\, dominion\, and greatness. There is no need to fear what the enemy might do.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know media outlets\, information feeds\, and all the other many sources I could choose to get news from create fear by design. They do it in order to control the readers and listeners. It is one of the devil’s greatest weapons. I understand he works tirelessly in his efforts to make it appear as if he has the last say. I repent for thinking if I don’t read or listen to the news\, I would be fine. You have taught me I need to know what is being said\, so I will know how to pray. Now I read or listen to what is going on\, and I pray. I am not afraid\, worried or distressed. Instead\, I give You thanks. I know You have the victory. The news only gives the information they want us to have to generate a specific response. It is up to me to bombard heaven on behalf of those in the story. I also will tell the end of the story; You win. It does not matter what the devil tried to do. It does not matter how the reporters’ story shows his victory. You have the final say. I will speak of Your victory now and forever. You will judge the devil along with those who attach themselves to him. When this earthly life is over\, as Your child\, I will receive power and dominion as I live on this earth. My hope and my confidence are in You. Only fear is the reverence I have for You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Chronicles 16:29
DESCRIPTION:1 Chronicles 16:29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering\, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. (KJV) \nAre you giving God his due? \nWhat is the Lord due? God is due your worship\, sacrifice and glory. Yes\, He forgives all your sins(1 John 1:9)\, heals all your diseases (Psalm 103:3)\, redeemed you (Galatians 3:13)\, crowns you with love and compassion (Psalm 103:4)\, satisfies your desires with good things (Psalm 103:5)\, and strengthens you in times of weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are who you are and have what you have because of God (1 Corinthians 15:10). Great is His faithfulness\, grace and mercy (Psalms 86:15). You praise God for what He has done (Isaiah 12:5). Everything that has breath can praise God (Psalms‬ 150:1). ‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬ \nAs you get excited reading those scriptures and focusing on all He has done for you\, go a step further. Take the time to think about Who He is. Who else could forgive sin\, heal disease\, redeem\, continually give love and compassion\, satisfy all needs and give strength in times of weakness? Nobody else\, only God! All He asks for in return is your worship. \nPsalm 29:2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty and majesty of His holiness [as the creator and source of holiness]. (AMP) \nThe thing is\, only those who profess salvation can worship. It is through salvation that you understand who God is and why you should worship. Go back and read November 14 devotional.  \nRevelation 14:7 With a loud voice he shouted\, “You must reverence God and glorify him\, for the time has come for him to judge. Worship at the feet of the Creator of heaven\, earth\, sea\, and springs of water.” (TPT) \nTaking time to think about His power and His love should not be something you have to schedule; it should be your constant posture.  \nJoshua 1:8 Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night\, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. (GNT) \nWhen you focus on the Father and not on you\, worship is the only result. If you and had ten thousand hours in a day instead of twenty-four\, there still would not be enough time to give God all the worship He deserves. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nMy Father\, You deserve endless worship. I thank You every day for everything You do for me. I understand when I thank You for what You have done a great deal of that is really about me. In those times\, I am focusing on how You delivered me\, how You gave me peace\, how You dried my tears\, how You calmed my fears\, and on and on. I repent for taking up so much of my time with You talking about me. I know You can do those things for me only because You are God. You are due the glory and the honor. I will remember to frame my thanks differently from now on. Because You are the beginning and the end; You know what is coming in my life and You can help me. Because You created all things; You have made what I need to honor You. Because You are omniscient\, You know what my prayer is before I ask. Because You can do all things; You can make a way when I think there is no way. Because You are Omni-present; I don’t have to feel alone. Because You rule and super rule; the devil will never win. Because You are all powerful; there is nothing You cannot do. You deserve my worship every one of the 60 seconds in a minute\, every one of the 60 minutes in an hour\, every one of the 24 hours a day\, every one of the 7 days in the week\, every one of the 4 or 5 weeks a month\, and every one of the 12 months a year. Though it seems sometimes\, there’s not enough time in the day; I will carve out time for me to worship You. I will live a life where I worship You continually. Not just in the time I devote to You\, all I say and all I do will be worship You. When I am called to glory\, worship will be the only thing I will do. Things filling my time now won’t be there. Until that day\, I will worship You while I work. I will worship You while I cook dinner. I will worship You while I clean the house. I will worship You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Revelation 4:10
DESCRIPTION:Revelation 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne\, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever\, and cast their crowns before the throne\, saying. (KJV) \nAre you an example of worship?  \nIf you are to worship truly\, it is imperative for you to know and understand what constitutes worship. You can look it up in the dictionary\, however\, worship is not just an activity\, it is also an attitude. This month\, there are some particular days that describe worship in great detail (November 14th  and 21st).    \nOne may always consult Webster’s Dictionary for the precise meaning of worship (adore\, idolize\, esteem worthy\, reverence\, homage\, etc.). Yet truly defining worship proves more difficult because it is both an attitude and an act.       (Baker’s Evangelical Dictionary of Biblical Theology) \nAs we previously discussed\, if you are not saved\, you cannot worship because you don’t “know” who God is. The salvation work of the cross births worship in one’s life. Once saved\, you show your worship in your speaking\, listening\, doing\, and being. Your worship will express: \n\nWhat is in your heart concerning God.\n\nPsalm 99:9 Lift up the Eternal our God in your hearts\, and celebrate His goodness at His holy mountain\, \nfor the Eternal our God is holy\, perfect and exalted in His power. (TVT) \n\nWhat is in your mind about God.\n\nPsalms 29:2 Give to the Eternal the glory due His name; worship Him with lavish displays of sacred splendor. (TVT) \n\nWho you are in relation to God. \n\nPsalms 96:9 O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him\, all the earth. (KJV) \n\nWhat you do for God. \n\nRomans 12:1 Beloved friends\, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred\, living sacrifices. And live in holiness\, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship. (TPT) \nAs you worship\, you celebrate God for who He is: Alpha and Omega\, the Almighty\, the King of kings and Lord of lords. \nRevelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega [the Beginning and the End]\,” says the Lord God\, “Who is [existing forever] and Who was [continually existing in the past] and Who is to come\, the Almighty [the Omnipotent\, the Ruler of all].” (AMP) \nGod will speak to you in your times of worship and give you guidance\, instruction\, and confirmation. The greatest demonstration of worship is when you carry out the instructions God has given to you.  \nPhilippians 2:13 God will continually revitalize you\, implanting within you the passion to do what pleases him. (TPT) \nWorship puts your focus completely on The Father and takes it off you. Your goal is for the world to see you and glorify God (Matthew 5:16). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, Thank You for continuing to teach me how to worship You. I long to worship with the elders in heaven. I believe every saint wants to\, as well. Between now and then\, I can worship You here on earth. My life is a testimony to You. I pray it tells the right story about You. I thank You for transforming me from glory to glory. I pray my worship is a demonstration of what it means to love You. The only way someone can look at me and glorify You is if I have a lifestyle\, not an activity of worship. I repent for any time my worship does not govern how I respond and what I think. I repent\, for every time I did not allow my worship to keep me from choosing to do what was appealing to my flesh. I will continue to worship until I am centered at all times and my focus is on glorifying You\, no matter what. Pure worship will keep me from being concerned with the things of this world. I know You promised to complete the work You started in me. I am standing on Your promise and doing my best to be obedient to the work You are doing. My goal is to live a life that brings glory to Your name… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Jeremiah 26:2
DESCRIPTION:Jeremiah 26:2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’S house\, and speak unto all the cities of Judah\, which come to worship in the LORD’S house\, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word. (KJV) \nAre you ready for God to use you? \nWhen the Lord gives you something to say to His people; it is natural to process it through how you see yourself (personality\, style etc.)\, your strengths\, your weaknesses and your own idiosyncrasies. How you respond is your worship. Though you are natural\, you serve God in the spirit.  \nJohn 4:24 “God is Spirit\, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (NKJV) \nThe important thing is\, once you have spent your time with the Lord\, He has prepared your heart to say what He told you to say. The reason the Lord told Jeremiah not to diminish any part of what He said is because He knew Jeremiah. And he knows you. You can’t water it down because you think you might hurt someone’s feelings. You can’t leave off parts because you think they won’t believe you.  \nDeuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you\, nor take away from it\, so that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you. (AMP) \nYou can’t walk in fear. Only God can determine if you have the authority or the wisdom to speak. He has. How do you know? He commanded you to speak. \nJeremiah 1:7-8 But the Lord said to me\, Say not\, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you\, and whatever I command you\, you shall speak. 8 Be not afraid of them [their faces]\, for I am with you to deliver you\, says the Lord. (AMPC) \nYou have to always remember it’s not you. You are speaking what you believe God Almighty instructed you to speak.  \nDeuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God\, your God\, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.” (MSG) \nYou must have faith and believe you heard God and stand.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have often stood to speak to Your people full of anxiety. Not because I didn’t think You directed me to speak; I was focusing on the outcome. I was my major concern. I repent and I so sorry for allowing my emotions and insecurities to rule me. My major concerns should have been\, will the people hear You speaking in the word I give;  will they understand what You are requiring them to do; and will the word bless and honor You? Thank You for correcting me and adjusting my focus. I will keep in mind\, the answers to those questions are not my responsibility. Your word will not return unto You void. It will accomplish what You sent it out to do. My responsibility is to make sure before I open my mouth; I’ve done my homework\, spent the time You require me to spend with You\, heard You clearly; and submitted myself to You. Them I am ready. When I open my mouth; You speak through me; my confidence is in You; and my trust is in You. You can use me whenever\, wherever\, and however You see fit. Every day\, the time I will spend with You makes my relationship with You and my faith in You stronger than the day before. When I hear You call\, my answer will be\, “Yes\, I am ready. Here am I Lord\, send me”… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 97:7
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 97:7 All who serve carved images\, those who boast in idols\, will be put to shame. All the gods must worship Him. (HCSB) \nDo you have idols in your life? \nAt first thought\, the answer to that question will undoubtedly be no because you are thinking about the idols referred to in the Old Testament. \nExodus 20:4 You are not to make any idol or image of other gods. In fact\, you are not to make an image of anything in the heavens above\, on the earth below\, or in the waters beneath. (TVT) \nBefore you stick out your chest\, give consideration to this idea. You might say easily say you don’t worship Krishna\, some statue\, Buddha\, etc. However\, do you worship stuff? You do not carve all idols out of material. An idol can also be a person or thing that you treasure\, place above others\, and ultimately that you worship.  \nLuke 12:34 “Where you deposit your treasure\, that is where you fix your thoughts—and your heart will long to be there also.” (TPT) \nDo you constantly talk about what you have? Can you look at an item and tell who the designer is\, how much it cost\, how exclusive it is\, etc. Do you feel better or more important because you carry/wear the latest design? Do you have cars no one can ride it? Do you have houses no one can visit? Is your family untouchable? If so\, consider the probability these things have become your gods. If the things you seek\, those that are most important to you\, are only valuable on earth; it’s time to change.  \nColossians 3:1-2 Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life\, sharing in His resurrection from the dead]\, keep seeking the things that are above\, where Christ is\, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things]\, not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. (AMP) \nWhen you talk about possessions more than you talk about God; that is an indication of a problem. You have to ask yourself\, do you have stuff or does stuff have you?  \nThe last set of tough questions are\, do your thoughts always come back to you; how you were treated\, how something affected you\, what someone did or did not say to you\, for you or about you? Did it ever occur to you that you are worshipping you? If you haven’t stopped to think about these things; take a moment and do it now. \n2 Timothy 3:1-2 But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce and difficult for the people of God. 2 People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly. (TPT) \nWorship is extravagant respect for\, admiration for\, or devotion to an object/person you esteem. Ask the Lord to help you decide who or what you are worshipping. \n1 John 2:16-17 For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh\, the allurement of the things of the world\, and the obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world. 17 This world and its desires are in the process of passing away\, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nHeavenly Father\, creator of the universe\, thank You for showing me what an idol is. Anything I pay homage to\, anything I value more than You\, is an idol in my life. It would have been great if there was a sign saying\, “down this path is an idol” or maybe there could be a buzzer\, siren\, or warning.  Unfortunately\, that is not the case. It pains me to think I ever worshipped anything or anyone more than You. However\, I know I did\, deliberately or unknowingly\, and I repent. Thank You for delivering me from idol worship. Hallelujah\, I can truly say\, there is nothing in my life more important than You. There’s no person I want to talk to more than I want to talk to You. There’s no person I want to talk about more than I want to talk about You. Thank You for helping me take a long look at myself. Not even my issues nor my problems are worth a conversation because they are not more important than You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 132:7
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 132:7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool. (KJV) \nIs your all on the altar? \nDavid wanted nothing more than to find a place for the Lord and for the ark. He wanted to create a tangible symbol of God’s presence. This should be your desire as well. The wonderful thing is\, because of Jesus\, you don’t have to find a place and you don’t have to build a place.  \nActs 7:48 However\, the Most High [the One infinitely exalted above humanity] does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet [Isaiah] says. (AMP) \nYou can worship wherever and whenever you choose to worship. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  \n1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God\, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]? (AMP) \nThere is a war raging between your flesh and your spirit (Romans 7:15). Whatever is in your heart controls the flesh.  \nMatthew 6:21 For where your treasure is\, there your heart [your wishes\, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also. (AMP) \nYou win the war by sacrificing what is in your heart. When you surrender your will and wishes to the control of the Holy Spirit\, you are\, in effect\, laying them on the altar before God.  \nPsalm 5:2-3 I need your help. Every morning you’ll hear me at it again. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on your altar and watch for fire to descend. (MSG) \nThe purest form of worship is to submit yourself to the Lord continually. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, in Your presence\, I want to personalize the lyrics to a song I sing\, challenging myself. Is my all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Do I allow Your Spirit to control my heart? Do I understand the only way You can give me rest and perfectly bless me is if I give You my body and soul? There are many times when I’ve gone to the altar when I heard that song. Even when I sing it\, it makes me focus on what You require. I repent for every time I went to the altar with selfish motives. I repent for singing it and not living it when I wanted something to go my way. It is so hypocritical to say I believe You will handle all things and then act like You won’t. Also\, You have taught me when I bring something to You\, I should leave it with You and worship. There is such a peace when I place my life in Your hands. I know it may seem like I am doing nothing. However\, it is not doing nothing. It is doing the best and only something that I can do. Give it to You and trust You to handle it. I desire to live my life knowing it is in Your hands. Then I can stop worrying and trying to fix things myself. I will continue to lay my all on the altar… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Proverbs 16:18
DESCRIPTION:Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction\, and an haughty spirit before a fall. (KJV) \nWhere has your search taken you? \nIn your search\, to walk in the fullness of all God has provided (Ephesians 1:17-20)\, to utilize all the gifts available (2 Timothy 1:6)\, and to do the greater works that Jesus proclaimed you could do (John 14:12)\, there are some dangerous traps and hidden detours.  \nMatthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life\, and there are few who find it. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nAs you begin your search your intentions are pure and your desire is Him and Him alone. \nPsalm 63:1 O God\, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.( New Living Translation NLT) \nAs you mature in the Lord\, you might come to the place where you think you can make positive confessions over your life\, command the hand of God\, fast and change the situation\, and be the master of your life. Are you the one who can call things that be not as though they were?  \nRomans 4:17  (As it is written\, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God\, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. (New King James Version NKJV) \nHebrews 11:3 By faith [that is\, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power\, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds (universe\, ages) were framed and created [formed\, put in order\, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the word of God\, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nYou may have faith to move mountains (Mark 11:23) as a part of your inheritance\, however only God calls things that are not into being. He does so as it fits into His plan and not yours. \nEphesians 1:11 In Him we also were made [God’s] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose\, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC)  \nHere is where you meet the fork in the road. Are you going to be judgmental and determine what is best for you? Are you easily offended? When confronted about your choices and your behavior\, do you look for justifications\, shift blame or condemn the one asking? Do make excuses or come up with stories that prove you are doing the right thing? Do you reason\, rationalize and decide you are in control of your fate? Do you look for Scriptures you can use to broaden the interpretation of for your benefit? Do you convince yourself you walk in the authority and power of God\, and no one has the right to question you? If your answer is yes\, to any of those questions\, you have taken the wrong road.  \nJohn 5:31 If I stand as the lone witness to My true identity\, then I can be dismissed as a liar. (The Voice  TVT) \nYou have taken the path where you are the object of your worship and not God (refer to the November 17th devotional). Stop! Turn around\, and go back to the place where the detour happened. The Father did not move\, you did. Continue to seek the Lord. You do not have the power to discover Divine truth\, moral obligation\, nor do you have the wisdom to govern yourself\, without God. You will only end up dishonoring God. Bow down and submit yourself to the Lord. \nPsalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart\, O God\, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nGod is able to help you walk so that you receive all the blessings He has promised those who believe in Him and help you accomplish everything He has commanded you to do (Philippians 2:13). He can do that and keep you from moving Him out of the center. \nJude 24 Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling\, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable\, ecstatic delight]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nBegan and end your search in worship.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know I have been down some paths in my search for You and trying to be used by You. So many of them were of my own making because I was so sure I understood what You wanted from me. I was wrong and I repent again\, even though my repentance at the time brought me back to You. A great many of the paths I took pulled me away from You instead of toward You. I know it was because I knew just enough to be dangerous. I knew Your word. There was an evident anointing on my life. However\, my experience with You\, my application and my presentation of the word needed a lot of work. I was worshipping the creation instead of the Creator; I repent again just thinking about it. Thank You for being right there. I am thankful You fixed the damage I caused. You caught me when I fell. You picked me up\, brushed me off and told me to try it again. I needed to spend more time with You. I needed to study more. I needed to worship more and to listen to You more. I still don’t always get it right. I am grateful because the number of times I get it wrong is continuously decreasing. I thank You for Your love\, Your protection and Your covering. Not just enough to be dangerous anymore. Now I know enough to allow You to be effective through me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Revelation 15:4
DESCRIPTION:Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee\, O Lord\, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. (KJV) \nWhy do you worship? \nThere are a lot of religions available. Of those religions\, there is a different ending for followers when they die. You could be reincarnated continually\, and never have rest; you could not be in the number who goes to heaven no matter what you do; etc. If you research this topic\, you will find the outcomes for the different religions existing. Whatever all other religions believe\, you must understand the power in and of the God you worship. \n“Perhaps the greatest difference of all [among religious views] lies in the Christian assertion that none of us can save ourselves and make ourselves acceptable to God\, try as we may: all the other faiths assert that by keeping their teachings\, a person will be saved\, fulfilled or reborn. All religions are not the same—Biblical Christianity is absolutely unique among all the religions and philosophies of mankind. Its claim to be necessary for salvation is based squarely on the uniquely powerful evidences for its truth and finality. Actually\, true Christianity is not a religion\, but a person\, Jesus Christ.”  \n(Dr. Michael Green\, British theologian\, Anglican priest\, Christian apologist) \nYou worship God because: \n\nHe saved you.\n\nHabakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord\, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nYou know Who He is.\n\nRevelation 4:11 “You are worthy\, [a]O Lord\, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things\, \nAnd by Your will they [b]exist and were created.” (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nHe commands you to.\n\nLuke 4:8b And Jesus answered and said unto him\, Get thee behind me\, Satan: for it is written\, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God\, and him only shalt thou serve. (KJV) \n\nYou want to bless and honor Him.\n\nRevelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea\, and all that are in them\, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne\, And to the Lamb\, forever and ever!” (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nYou love Him.\n\nPsalm 116:1 I love the Lord\, because He hears [and continues to hear] My voice and my supplications (my pleas\, my cries\, my specific needs). (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nYou want to draw near to Him.\n\nPsalm 27:7-8 Hear me\, Lord\, when I call to you! Be merciful and answer me! 8 When you said\, “Come worship me\,” I answered\, “I will come\, Lord.” (Good News Translation GNT) \n\nOf the things He has done.\n\nPsalm 126:3 We shook our heads. All of us were stunned—the Eternal has done remarkable things for us. We were beyond happy\, beyond joyful. ( The Voice TVT) \n\nYou are going to be with Him in heaven. \n\nHebrews 12:28 Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender\, filled with awe. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nIn that day\, every knee shall bow\, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for saving me. It made it possible for me to worship You. I can say; I am a Christian. Christianity gives me hope. It allows me to believe in heaven\, and that is why I worship. It assures me of the eternal peace I will have in heaven\, and that is why I worship. No more toiling\, and that is why I worship. Christianity says You are Lord of lords\, the Almighty God\, and that is why I worship. I marvel at the truth of Your word. I believe You when You say\, every knee will bow\, and every tongue will confess You are Lord\, and that is why I worship. No other religion makes that claim\, and that is why I worship. I don’t choose to live my life where the end is not an end at all. I like what Dr. Green said. True Christianity is not a religion and not a practice of regulated behaviors. It is my faith in Jesus and in His return. Keep me and I won’t waiver and I will be with You in the end. Whether I am raised or caught up. I worship You now and forever… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Thessalonians 2:4
DESCRIPTION:2 Thessalonians 2:4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped\, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple\, proclaiming himself to be God. (NIV) \nIs your heart filled with your love for God? \nAs we continue to live\, the devil will get more and more anxious\, desperate even. He knows he’s going to lose. He will do anything and everything within his power to deceive as many as he can.  \nRevelation 12:12b But woe to you\, O earth and sea\, for the devil has come down to you in fierce anger (fury)\, because he knows that he has [only] a short time [left]! (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nYour love for God is what will keep you from being deceived. The devil is cunning. He will try to convince you God does not love you\, and therefore\, loving God has no purpose. How?  \n\nBy continually reminding you of your mistakes.\n\nIf he can occupy you with thoughts of your sins\, past present and the future sins you might commit because of the temptations face\, you live defeated. \nPsalm 51:3-4 For I am fully aware of all I have done wrong\, and my guilt is there\, staring me in the face. 4 It was against You\, only You\, that I sinned\, for I have done what You say is wrong\, right before Your eyes. So when You speak\, You are in the right. When You judge\, Your judgments are pure and true. (The Voice TVT) \n\nBy making you think you have no power over him.\n\nIf you don’t understand the power of salvation\, the enemy convinces you that you don’t have victory over sin. Then you will believe the Father is asking you to do something that you cannot do. \nTitus 2:14 Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own\, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nBy telling you your hardships are an indication that God doesn’t love you. \n\nYou cannot live with the misconception that God is supposed to give you everything you want so you can be “happy”. That somehow\, you should have not sorrow\, pain or have a reason to cry. If you do\, your heart will be filled with disappointment instead of love.  \n1 Peter 4:12-13b Friends\, when life gets really difficult\, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead\, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process. (The Message MSG) \n\nBy convincing you that your fortune is something other than the blessing of God.\n\nThe devil wants you to believe your prayers\, desires\, hopes\, and endeavors are accomplished because of you. When you believe you succeed because of your passion and not God’s grace\, your heart becomes filled with you.  \nJeremiah 9:23 Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise and skillful person glory and boast in his wisdom and skill; let not the mighty and powerful person glory and boast in his strength and power; let not the person who is rich [in physical gratification and earthly wealth] glory and boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] riches. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nThe enemy is always whispering in your ear. If you listen to what he says\, your will slowly replace your love for God. There are so many ways the enemy uses; there are only a few ways listed here. Always keep in mind\, the devil does not want to reign outside of the Church\, he wants authority in the very bosom of the Church. You are the church; not the building you go to. He wants your heart. If he can’t have it\, at least he does not want God to have it either.  \nMatthew 22:37 Jesus answered him\, “‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart\, with all the energy of your being\, and with every thought that is within you.’(The Passion Translation TPT) \nThe altar of Your heart must be filled with God. There can be no room for anything else. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, Thank You for exposing the devil’s plan to undermine my worship and turn my heart and mind against You. You have also revealed his ultimate goal is to take Your place on the altar of my heart. I repent for the times I listened to his whispers and questioned Your love for me. By doing so I but my love for You in jeopardy. Thank You for Your warning. Thank You for keeping me in Your word\, on my knees and on my face. Your word says the devil knows his time is short. I see his attacks getting more and more strategic as I draw closer to You. He is determined to  win in this warfare. However\, I am just as determined. Thank You for warning me and covering me\, every day. Thank You for preparing me to withstand the attacks of the enemy. Thank You for equipping me with the weapons I need to guard my heart. Thank You for filling me up to the point of overflowing. Sometimes I allow circumstances and situations to cause me to leak and I repent. As long as I am breathing\, I will keep coming back for You to fill the leaks. I want the cup of my heart filled with You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Genesis 22:5
DESCRIPTION:Genesis 22:5 And Abraham said to his young men\, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship\, and we will come back to you.” (NKJV) \nDo you trust God with your life? \nThis passage is often used to describe Jehovah Jireh. What a story! When Abraham received his command from God; the Bible does not say he stopped and asked God why.  \nGenesis 22:2-3 Then He said\, “Take now your son\, your only son Isaac\, whom you love\, and go to the land of Moriah\, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey\,… and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. (New King James Version NKJV) \nIt does not record where He prayed for the life of his son like he did for Sodom and Gomorrah. Interestingly enough\, he told his servants: he and his son were going to worship\, and they were coming back. Before Abraham got to the Jehovah Jireh place in his life; he had to have already been in a place of faith and trust.  \nHebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out\, not knowing where he was going. (New King James Version NKJV) \nNow\, maybe Abraham thought God would not require Isaac’s life. He may have even told himself\, if God accepted his sacrifice\, He would then resurrect Isaac. Though he may not have known how God was going to do it\, he was coming back with his son. Abraham was going to the top of the mountain to prostrate himself before God and honor Him for being the one true God. Abraham was going to worship\, knowing Isaac was to die.  \nGenesis 22:5b “The lad and I will go yonder and worship.” (New King James Version NKJV) \nIsaac asked his father where the lamb was for the burnt offering (Genesis 22:7). Abraham at that time was over 100 years old and Isaac was a teenager. Isaac had much greater strength and agility and would have given Abraham problems if he did not voluntarily obey and allow himself to be the sacrifice. Yet the passage indicates that Isaac did comply and permitted himself to be placed on the altar\, bound and positioned to be sacrificed (Genesis 22:9). Isaac submitted in total obedience to his father’s request of him. In that moment\, he trusted his God\, not just his father’s God. Abraham was not the only one being tested\, Isaac was as well. Isaac had to have a full understanding\, reverential awe for\, and total trust in the God he served.  \nPsalms 9:10 And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You\, for You\, Lord\, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nWhat about you? Are you willing to give up something that you’ve prayed for\, labored for\, and fasted for if God asks you (Mark 10:21)? Will you only say yes if you have the promise that you will get it back or something better like Job did (Job 42:12)? Will you give up your life (Mark 8:35)? Do you have the faith in God and the trust that if He’s asking you for it\, there is a higher purpose (Romans 8:28)? Is trust really trust if it’s not tested (James 1:2-3)?  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, God\, I have told You so many times that I trust You with my life. Because of this devotional\, I had to stop\, reflect on what that statement really means\, and repent for being so casual about it. There are so many situations/circumstances that have happened where my trust was challenged. Sometimes I met the challenge and sometimes I did not. There will be more in my future. I repent for not taking that statement more seriously. I have never had to face the greatest challenge\, to decide if I would give up my life. Do I trust You with my life so much that I am willing to die believing in Your word? I wish I could say yes\, without thought and without pause. Father\, I have to say\, right now\, the only way I’ll know for sure\, is to be in that situation. Please do what You need to do in me to strengthen my faith and trust because I know I need it. How does a person choose to be a martyr? Do they know they are a martyr before it is time for them to die? I don’t know. I believe I walk close to You\, however\, I have to be honest with You. Which by the way there’s no reason not to because You know what’s in my heart. I think I would be shaking all over\, crying and pleading for my life. I pray I am not ever put in that position. However\, should it be Your will and I am faced with martyrdom\, draw me closer to You now; so\, at the assigned moment\, I will choose You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Deuteronomy 11:16
DESCRIPTION:Deuteronomy 11:16 Take heed to yourselves\, that your heart be not deceived\, and ye turn aside\, and serve other gods\, and worship them. (KJV) \nAre you being deceived? \nThere are times\, when you may be put in a situation\, where you don’t realize you are choosing something else instead of what God wants. You live on this earth. You go to work. You go to church. You handle problems and make decisions on a daily basis. You make choices based on what you believe. This is where the enemy tries to trick you. Fight him with the word. \n\nWhen you are deceived\, you believe joy is not enough; therefore\, you will make choices to be happy which is based on happenings and is fleeting. \n\nPhilippians 4:12-13 I know how to survive in tight situations\, and I know how to enjoy having plenty. In fact\, I have learned how to face any circumstances: fed or hungry\, with or without. 13 I can be content in any and every situation through the Anointed One who is my power and strength. (The Voice TVT) \n\nWhen you are deceived\, you don’t apply all the Word of God; therefore\, you will cherry pick those scriptures meeting your immediate desire. \n\n2 Timothy 3:16-17 God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture\, for it is God-breathed.[b] It will empower you by its instruction and correction\, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. 17 Then you will be God’s servant\, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nWhen you are deceived\, you believe you are insignificant and your life means nothing; therefore\, you make choices to be validated and made to feel important. \n\nPsalm 139:14 I will offer You my grateful heart\, for I am Your unique creation\, filled with wonder and awe. You have approached even the smallest details with excellence; Your works are wonderful; I carry this knowledge deep within my soul. (The Voice TVT) \n\nWhen you are deceived\, you believe fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ isn’t important; therefore\, you decide to be alone. Being alone eliminates your chance to be encouraged and/or encourage someone else. It also makes you easy prey for the enemy. \n\nHebrews 10:25 This is not the time to pull away and neglect[a] meeting together\, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact\, we should come together even more frequently\, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nWhen you are deceived\, you believe gossip does no harm\, and your words can’t hurt; therefore\, you don’t bridle your tongue. \n\nPsalm 141:3-4 Post a guard at my mouth\, God\, set a watch at the door of my lips. Don’t let me so much as dream of evil or thoughtlessly fall into bad company. And these people who only do wrong— don’t let them lure me with their sweet talk! (The Message MSG) \nFight the enemy with the word of God\, just as Jesus did (Matthew 4:1-11). You have instruction on this. \nColossians 2:6-8 Now that you have welcomed the Anointed One\, Jesus the Lord\, into your lives\, continue to journey with Him and allow Him to shape your lives. 7 Let your roots grow down deeply in Him\, and let Him build you up on a firm foundation. Be strong in the faith\, just as you were taught\, and always spill over with thankfulness. 8 Make sure no predator makes you his prey through some misleading philosophy and empty deception based on traditions fabricated by mere mortals. These are sourced in the elementary principles originating in this world and not in the Anointed One (so don’t let their talks capture you). (The Voice TVT) \nDon’t be deceived and don’t be the one who is deceiving others. Spend time in worship showing your love for and offering yourself to God. Then your choices will represent His love and power in your life.  \nPhilippians 2:1-4 If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ\, if his love has made any difference in your life\, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you\, if you have a heart\, if you care—then do me a favor: Agree with each other\, love each other\, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside\, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand. (The Message MSG) \nIf you purpose it in your heart\, you can live a life that honors the Father and not one that will allow you to be deceived.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for challenging me today. I don’t want to be deceived by the devil and I don’t want to him to use me to deceive myself or anyone else. I want my choices to honor You. I want my decisions to be based on the time I spend with You that is devoted to listening and learning. I repent for thinking I could substitute or replace the time with You by being in church\, in a bible study\, in a prayer /devotion group\, or even preaching the word. If I don’t spend intimate time with You\, I will make provision for my flesh and become an unguarded target for the enemy. He will use my fleshly desires to convince me joy is not enough\, or I’m not valuable to You\, or You don’t love me\, or so many other lies he has in his arsenal to trick me. I submit to You in worship. I believe and trust You to guide me\, my thoughts and my actions. I have held the reins of my life and I have made bad choices. I willingly give the reins to You. You are the master of my fate and the keeper of my soul. I will make choices that will bring glory and honor to Your name… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Mark 11:24
DESCRIPTION:Mark 11:24 This is the reason I urge you to boldly believe for whatever you ask for in prayer—believe that you have received it and it will be yours. (TPT)  \n1 Kings 3:5  In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said\, Ask what I shall give thee. (KJV) \nWhy do you go to God? \nHave you ever asked a question to a superior\, a spouse\, or anyone else and they did not respond? Were they in the room with you? Were you texting back and forth\, or did you email? No matter how you were communicating\, did you wonder if they were listening to you or if they were ignoring you? It is wonderful to have a God who hears you and is listening to you. God gave you the liberty to ask Him whatever you want.  \nHebrews 4:16 Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is\, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear\, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing\, coming just at the right moment]. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nPlease don’t immediately jump to the conclusion He did not hear you or does not intend to respond to you\, simply because you did not get what you wanted\, when you wanted it\, and the way you wanted it. The important thing to remember is: if you want to get what you have asked for\, it must be what is according to the Lord’s will.  \n1 John 5:14-15 And this is the confidence (the assurance\, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan)\, He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask\, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nThough you can ask for what you want\, God is not obligated to give you what you want. His word says He will supply your need. You may think you know what you need. There may be times when you are in a situation; you access it; and you determine what’s required to deal with it. You go to God in prayer to ask Him to fix your situation. Even though you say the words\, “Have Your way in this situation”; you have an expectation. You want Him to give you what you have determined will fix the problem. You know He can; and you think He should do it your way. Do you have the correct heart posture?  \nJames 4:3 And if you ask\, you won’t receive it for you’re asking with corrupt motives\, seeking only to fulfill your own selfish desires. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nYou should go to God because you know whether or not He gives you what you want; He loves you and is there to hear you. God was there before you got to this point in your life. There is no one who knows what you need better than the God who created you. As you go to Him\, you give Him praise because He is Jehovah Shammah [ja-hō-va sha-ma] (The Lord is there). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, I am thankful I come to You\, knowing You hear me. You want me to come to You. I am Your child. Just like I would go to my Dad\, as his child. Whatever I wanted\, I asked for. He didn’t always give it to me\, yet I always knew he was there\, and he loved me. The feelings he has for me pale in comparison to those You have. You are much greater. Like my Dad\, You don’t always give me what I ask for; You give me what I need. I repent for thinking I know what my needs are and how You should supply them. You have shown me\, time and time again\, if You had given me what I wanted\, I would not have been able to handle it or I would have been in a bigger mess than I was in. I’m grateful You know what I need. Whatever the situation is; You are Jehovah Shammah. You were there before I got there. You knew how it would affect me. You knew I would come to You. I am grateful for Your presence in my life. Thank You for being there… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 3:6
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 3:6 But Christ\, as the Son\, is in charge of God’s entire house. And we are God’s house\, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ. (NLT) \nDeuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God\, he is God\, the faithful God\, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. (KJV) \nDo you pray with confidence? \nAre there times when you pray and you feel you will not get the answer you are looking for? It could be\, you understand your request may not be in the will of God. It could be\, you don’t think you deserve what you want. Maybe the enemy has convinced you God does not love you. The wonderful thing is you don’t have to be motivated by what you think or the lies the devil whispers. You can stand n the word. \nJohn 15:7 But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nNo matter how many reasons you have\, remember Who you serve.  \n2 Corinthians 1:20 In Jesus we hear a resounding “yes” to all of God’s many promises. This is the reason we say “Amen” to and through Jesus when giving glory to God. (The Voice TVT) \nYou base how God responds to your prayers on who He is\, not who you are\, how hard you are praying\, nor what you have done. You don’t have the big picture. He always answers. It just may not be the answer you were looking for. You are a part of the household of faith\, where Jesus is the head of the house. He loves you and covers you.  \nHebrews 7:25 Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely\, perfectly\, finally\, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him\, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nBe assured\, God will take care of you and give Him praise because He is El Emunah [el ē-ma-na] (The Faithful God). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I come to You with my petitions. I repent for the times I thought You would not do what I was asking before I asked You. My behavior was an indication of my weakness and my frailty\, not a testimony of who You are. I’m grateful You don’t evaluate life and things the way I do. I’m thankful You are faithful to do what You promise\, each and every time. You said You would never leave me nor forsake me. I stand on Your word. I know You love me. I know loving me doesn’t mean You will always do what I want. It means You will do what Your word says. Thank You for continuing to teach me and guide me until I come to the place where my confidence is unwavering in You\, regardless of the situation. I don’t want to be hindered by what I’ve done. I want to concentrate on who You are. You are always faithful even in the times when I stayed away and messed up. You are and forever will be El Emunah… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 3:14
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ\, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end. (KJV) \nExodus 15:13 In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling. (KJV) \nWhat happens when God does not answer you immediately?  \nThere are times when you pray\, and for you\, it is an emergency. You need the Lord to answer you right away. A day goes by\, and it does not seem like you have a solution\, then a week and possibly a month. You may try to work it out for yourself if you have not grounded your faith and belief in God. Since you don’t have all the information needed\, your interference can make things worse. Read the story of Sarah and Hagar (Genesis 16-18). You can choose to be importune\, as the friend in Luke 11:5-8 (* read it below). Ultimately\, you just have to wait. Waiting on God is only hard if you decide it is. God is faithful\, that should make the wait easy.  \nIsaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run\, and not be weary; and they shall walk\, and not faint. (KJV) \nThe problem you see as an emergency is just a steppingstone on the path. You must not waste time worrying. \nEphesians 5:15-16 Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor\, purpose\, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil]\, not as the unwise\, but as wise [sensible\, intelligent\, discerning people]\, 16 making the very most of your time [on earth\, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence]\, because the days are [filled with] evil. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nThe Lord can compensate for the faults or adverse effects of your issue and help you get back anything lost. Just read the story of Job. \nJob 42:10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes\, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nGod is not a respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). However you wait\, if you wait\, He will do the same for you. \n1 Peter 5:10 And after you have suffered a little while\, the God of all grace [Who imparts all blessing and favor]\, Who has called you to His [own] eternal glory in Christ Jesus\, will Himself complete and make you what you ought to be\, establish and ground you securely\, and strengthen\, and settle you. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nYou can go back and read the devotional from October 17 and encourage yourself. Don’t wait until the battle is over; give Him praise now because He is Go’el [gō-el] (Kinsman Redeemer). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I confess\, in a lot of the situations I encounter\, I try to figure out what I need to do\, without consulting You. I have also come to You\, more times than I can count\, to ask You for the solution\, without waiting to hear Your response. Again\, I did what “I thought” was the right thing for me to do. I repented in those times and I will keep repenting until those times and situations are no more. Whenever I tell You waiting is hard; You show me I made waiting hard. I spent too much time trying to fix the situation myself before I brought it to You. All the while\, I was making things worse for me. When I was finally at the end of me\, I brought You “my emergency”. Now\, I look at my life differently. You have always had an unchanging\, expected end for my life. No matter what I may perceive to be a problem or an emergency\, Jeremiah 29:11 tells me\, You have a plan. I may not know all the details of the plan\, however\, I know You are the Planner. I know who You are. When I pray\, continue to help me wait for Your plan to unfold. I will come to You with everything I face. I repent for trying to do Your job. Help me do my job; which very simply is to wait on You and to trust You… \nADD SOME URGENCY \n\nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:    \n*Luke 11:5-8 Then he said\, “Imagine what would happen if you went to a friend in the middle of the night and said\, ‘Friend\, lend me three loaves of bread. An old friend traveling through just showed up\, and I don’t have a thing on hand.’7 “The friend answers from his bed\, ‘Don’t bother me. The door’s locked; my children are all down for the night; I can’t get up to give you anything.’ 8 “But let me tell you\, even if he won’t get up because he’s a friend\, if you stand your ground\, knocking and waking all the neighbors\, he’ll finally get up and get you whatever you need. SUMMARY:Luke 1:11
DESCRIPTION:Luke 1:11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. (KJV) \nJudges 6:12 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him\, and said unto him\, The Lord is with thee\, thou mighty man of valour. (KJV) \nWhat is the Lord speaking to you? \nIf you are listening\, you will hear from the Lord. When you are certain you heard from God\, what do you do?  \nRead what these powerful men and women did. \n\nSamuel in 2 Samuel 22.\nShiphrah and Puah in Exodus 1:17-20.\nElijah in 1 Kings 19:11-18.\nTamar in Genesis 38:1-30.\nJeremiah in Jeremiah 10:11-16.\nRahab in the Joshua 2.\nEzekiel in Ezekiel 43.\nGideon in Judges 6.\nMary\, the mother of Jesus\, in  Luke 1:28-38.\nJohn in the Book of Revelation. \n\nIn their own way\, they responded. Sometimes\, what you hear leads you to do something out of the ordinary. Whether it is spectacular or just new to you\, your assignment requires continued prayer because it is not you. It is God who will perform through you. There is no reason to think it won’t run smoothly\, right? In addition\, you want your friends\, loved ones and those whose opinion matters to you\, to believe you. What if it does not run smoothly (make sure you have God’s definition of smooth) and no one believes you? It may seem like you are standing alone. There are also some examples of that in the bible: \n\nJoseph (Genesis 37:1-44:9) it took 13 years from the dream to fulfillment.\nNoah (Genesis 6:11–9:19) it took 120 years for the request to build the ark until the flood.\n\nIf you are sure God has called you to complete a task\, even though is not happening immediately\, you must have faith.  \n\nYou can’t be moved by what you see.\n\n2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things\, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance. ( Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nYou may never get the support you’re looking for. \n\nMatthew 28:20b “And lo\, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance\, and on every occasion]\, even to the end of the age.” (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nYou can even put yourself out there and bumps in the road may make you give up. Why?\n\nBecause you don’t trust God? \nBecause you decided you missed God? \nBecause of some other reason you can provide? \n\n\n\nEcclesiastes 9:11 I returned and saw under the sun that — The race is not to the swift\, Nor the battle to the strong\, Nor bread to the wise\, Nor riches to men of understanding\, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all. (New King James Version NKJV) \nAs you are dealing with the wait\, a lack of support\, believing that you missed God\, or even giving up\, you are learning in the process. There is no loss or waste in God. In the midst of it all\, there is one thing you can know for certain. \nRomans 8:28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God\, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nIt takes the strength of God to endure. However\, He has a plan for your life. As you continue to seek Him\, worship and remain in His presence; He will reveal His plan.  \nPhilippians 1:6 And I am convinced and sure of this very thing\, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return]\, developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nAlways keep in mind\, God can sustain you\, keep you\, and complete every task He assigns to you. Because you know this is true\, give Him praise because He is Jehovah Immeka [ja-hō-va im-mē-kā] (The LORD Is with You).  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I never thought it took strength to allow You to work through me. Then You reminded me of Moses’ journey from Egypt to the promised land. You explained to me it can be a difficult task to stand on what I believe. Father\, the human being in me\, with all of its frailties\, wants support from the people whose opinion matters to me. When they don’t support my decision or if they don’t understand me\, sometimes it makes me wonder if I actually heard You. I repent for wanting to trust them more than I was trusting Your Spirit within me. I need Your strength and Your grace. Not just to do a particular task You’ve assigned to me; I need You every day. I don’t want to wrestle with myself\, with others\, and especially not with You. You taught me\, a long time ago\, it is okay to miss You. It’s okay to believe\, with all my heart\, I heard You and be truly wrong. Missing You helps me fine tune my ability to hear You clearer. If pride is keeping me from stepping out or causing me not to believe it’s You; please deal with me. The problem is not whether I can trust You. The problem is\, can You trust me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Acts 15:6
DESCRIPTION:Acts 15:6 And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter. (KJV) \nPsalms 42:8 But each day the LORD pours his unfailing love upon me\, and through each night I sing his songs\, praying to God who gives me life. (NLT) \nAre you choosing God’s way or yours? \nWhen you need to make a decision about some situation in your life\, who do you talk to? The natural instinct is to talk to someone. Are there people you talk to about different things? Is there a person for everyday living\, a different person for career choices\, a different person for the things of God\, etc. If God has truly blessed you\, you have one person in your life you can talk to no matter what situation or issues are being addressed. However\, because you are a child of God\, He is always there and will talk to you about everything. And really\, the natural instinct should not govern your actions anymore. You should have a new spiritual nature. \nJohn 10:27 My sheep hear my voice\, and I know them\, and they follow me: (KJV) \nThe spiritual man seeks God for solutions. Why? Because God is omniscient\, and He has the answers to every situation in your life. Now the answers He has may not be the ones you want. Trust Him\, He knows what’s best. He knows everything about you. He created you and He knows your purpose.  \nRomans 8:29 For he knew all about us before we were born and he destined us from the beginning to share the likeness of his Son. This means the Son is the oldest among a vast family of brothers and sisters who will become just like him. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nHe can and will finish the work He started in you before the foundation of the world. The ebb and flow of your life belongs to God\, not to you. You gave yourself to Him when you accepted His invitation to salvation.  \nJeremiah 10:23 O Lord\, I know that the path of [life of] a man is not in himself; It is not within [the limited ability of] man [even one at his best] to choose and direct his steps [in life]. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nYou will find the answers to your life problems in God. With each day that passes and each problem solved\, you give Him praise because His is El Hayyay [el ha-ya] (God of My Life). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, there is a saying\, if you want to make God laugh\, share Your plan with Him. Various people have asked me\, from the time I could talk\, “What do you want to be when you grow up”? I did not necessarily set a course for my life\, however\, I had a course set. My parents had ideas\, as did my teachers and others who were in authority in my life. I went to school. I did my work. The day came when I had to decide what my college major was going to be and what career I was going to have after I completed college. You have taught me that there is nothing wrong with having desires for my life. However\, I know I have to make sure I get my desires from You. Your word says in Psalms 37:4\, If I delight myself in You\, You will give me the desires of my heart. What an amazing revelation You provided for me when You gave me understanding about that passage is. If I take pleasure in Your presence\, You will give me what to desire\, which is You. Your word says\, if I seek You first\, You will give me all the other stuff. I have a new plan for my life. My plan is to be the child of God You ordained for me to be before You formed the world. I submit to You as the God of my life… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Matthew 7:7
DESCRIPTION:Matthew 7:7 Ask\, and it shall be given you; seek\, and ye shall find; knock\, and it shall be opened unto you. (KJV) \nPsalms 20:1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. (NIV) \nAre you still wrestling with God?  \nHave you ever had someone quote Mathew 7:7 to you? If so\, they wanted you to know whatever you were dealing with; the answer and the consolation is in God and His word. If your heart is heavy right now\, or you have filled your mind with thoughts\, you are trying to process; the word is still true. The ball is in your court. If you will ask God\, He will give you what you need. You must ask in faith and according to His will.  \nHebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nHe already knows what you need. When you ask\, you are simply submitting to His authority and will. If you continue to seek God\, you’ll find Him.  \nJeremiah 29:13 Then you will seek Me\, inquire for\, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nIn your search for answers to your life’s problems\, you will find the Lord. If you continue your search past problem solving missions\, you will get to the place where all you want is Him.  \nPsalm 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord\, that will I seek\, inquire for\, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life\, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate\, consider\, and inquire in His temple. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nIf you ask Him\, He’ll open the door to the path He has ordained for your life. No one can shut a door that the Lord has opened. The path the Lord wants you to walk through is the one leading directly to Him. Jacob’s life is a pattern for Christians. Jacob struggled with God his entire life. As he matured in faith\, he depended on God more and more. The turning point for Jacob came the last night of his journey back home from his search for a wife. He knew he was going to see Esau\, and the thought of that encounter troubled him (Genesis 32). When the night was over\, the Lord broke him\, and also made him new (Genesis 32:22-32). \nGenesis 32:28 And He said\, Your name shall be called no more Jacob [supplanter]\, but Israel [contender with God]; for you have contended and have power with God and with men and have prevailed. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n Is the situation you are dealing with the turning point for you? You give Him praise because He is Elohe Yakob [ē-lō-hē  ya-kōb](God of Jacob). What God did for Jacob; He can do for you.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have heard the saying\, Your arms are too short to box with God. Though that is true\, I know I have tried to wrestle with You on more than one occasion. It makes no sense and is disrespectful to seek You\, ask You for direction\, and then fight with You about being obedient. I am sorry. There have been pivotal moments in my life where I had to make a decision that radically changed who I was. The first one was to accept Your invitation to salvation. I have made many more. Many more are yet to be made before Jesus returns. I repent and I will continue to repent until I no longer wrestle with You; I simply obey. Transform my life from glory to glory\, from milestone to milestone. Change me until I look like\, walk like\, act like\, and talk like You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:James 1:5
DESCRIPTION:James 1:5 The only thing you could possibly lack is wisdom. (One might sometimes feel challenged beyond the point of sanity) however\, make your request in such a way that you draw directly from the source (not filtered through other opinions). God is the origin and author of wisdom; he intertwines your thoughts with good judgment. His gifts are available to all\, without regret. (TMB)  \nIsaiah 45:23 I have sworn by Myself; The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness\, And shall not return\, That to Me every knee shall bow\, every tongue shall take an oath. (NKJV) \nWho are you getting your answers from? \nWhen you don’t know what to do\, yet you know something needs to be done\, who do you ask first. Do you go to the people you believe to be spiritual or knowledgeable? Do you talk to your friends\, prayer partner\, spiritual mentor\, pastor\, etc.? There is nothing wrong with that. God placed these people in your life to be a support to you. Sometimes you can have too much support. You can have so many different answers to the same question that you struggle with what to believe. Why not go directly to the source? Do you remember to ask God\, first? \nPsalms 121:1-2 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—From whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord\, Who made heaven and earth. (New King James Version NKJV) \nThe Lord you serve is omniscient. The wisdom God gives is unaffected by the status of your problem\, what you feel\, or what you see. Here are some reasons you ask God for the answers:  \n\nGod will help you through your situation without being condescending or scolding you. \n\nJames 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance]\, he is to ask of [our benevolent] God\, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame\, and it will be given to him. (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nGod doesn’t just have wisdom\, He is wisdom.\n\nProverbs 2:6 Wisdom is a gift from a generous God\, and every word he speaks is full of revelation and becomes a fountain of understanding within you. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nYou know He hears you and will answer you because you are living the life He has called you to live.\n\n1 John 3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him\, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nYou know\, on your best day\, you don’t have the solution.\n\nProverbs 14:12 You can rationalize it all you want and justify the path of error you have chosen\, but you’ll find out in the end that you took the road to destruction. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\nGod is waiting for you to ask. He wants you to have the answer.\n\nMatthew 7:7-8 “Ask\, and it will be given to you; seek\, and you will find; knock\, and it will be opened to you.  8 For everyone who asks receives\, and he who seeks finds\, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nGod has so much more to show you than what you have the knowledge to ask for.\n\nJeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to Me and I will answer you\, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things\, [things which have been confined and hidden]\, which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’ (Amplified Bible AMP) \nEverything you go through is a test. You can’t fail the test\, if you have all the answers. With each answer you receive and each test you pass\, give Him praise because He is Adonai [a-dō-nī ] (Master Over All). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, Your word says\, in the multitude of counsel there is safety. I know there are times when I have taken that scripture to an extreme limit. When I did\, the safety the counsel was supposed to provide to me\, only created confusion. There were too many voices. Too many people trying to help me understand what was going on and tell me how to deal with it. I thank You because You are there. I repent for not coming to You first. You have the answers. I don’t have to guess. I don’t have to figure it out. All I have to do is ask You. The problem was\, by the time I asked You I could not hear what You were saying. My spirit and my mind was cluttered with the things everyone else\, including myself\, had said. You taught me I needed to be still. Through the years\, I have learned how to wait and how to be still in Your presence. You have taught me a decision made in uncertainty is destined to be the wrong one. You have taught me acting out of emergency will cost me. Thank You for teaching me through my experiences and tests that You know what’s best for me. Whether You tell me what to do or unfold the solution over time; I will come to You with all of my questions. You are the answer… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 5:15
DESCRIPTION:1 John 5:15 And if we know that he hear us\, whatsoever we ask\, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. (KJV) \nPsalms 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (KJV) \nAre you a sheep? \nSheep don’t worry about being fed; whether there will be water to drink; or if there will be protection from danger. Here are some additional characteristics of sheep. See if you fit into the sheep category.  \n\n Sheep have no sense of direction; they will follow whoever is leading them. \n Sheep are defenseless; when frightened\, they will run away. \n Sheep can’t get up without help. The shepherd must lift the sheep and put it back on its feet\, or it will die. \n Sheep are emotional and recognize the shepherd’s voice. \n Sheep are not animals that carry burdens.\n Sheep will settle for less. They are content with filth\, so long as it satisfies at the moment. \n Sheep are valuable; treated as a prized possession. Shepherds made many sacrifices to protect their flocks. \n\nWhat about you?  \n\n Do you rely on your own sense of direction? \n\nIsaiah 53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray\, We have turned\, each one\, to his own way; But the Lord has caused the wickedness of us all [our sin\, our injustice\, our wrongdoing] To fall on Him [instead of us]. (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\n Are you able to defend yourself against all attacks? \n\nMatthew 9:36 When He saw the throngs\, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them\, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless)\, like sheep without a shepherd. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\n Are you able to pick yourself up or do you sometimes need help?\n\nIsaiah 40:11 He will feed His fold like a shepherd; He will gather together His lambs—the weak and the wobbly ones—into His arms. He will carry them close to His bosom\, and tenderly lead like a shepherd the mother of her lambs. (The Voice TVT) \n\n Do you have the spiritual connection and know the voice of your Shepherd? \n\nJohn 10:27 My own sheep will hear my voice and I know each one\, and they will follow me. (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\n Do you realize God did not create you to carry burdens?\n\nPsalm 55:22 Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip\, fall\, or fail). (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\n Are you willing to settle for less?\n\nPsalm 23:1-2 Yahweh is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. 2 He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace near the quiet brook of bliss. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nJohn 10:10b But I have come to give you everything in abundance\, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow! (The Passion Translation TPT) \n\n Do you realize how valuable you are to the Father?\n\nJohn 10:11\, 14-15 I am the Good Shepherd who lays down my life as a sacrifice for the sheep. 14 “I alone am the Good Shepherd\, and I know those whose hearts are mine\, for they recognize me and know me\, 15 just as my Father knows my heart and I know my Father’s heart. I am ready to give my life for the sheep. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nDo you always keep in mind God is there; or do you begin to murmur and complain when you encounter situations where you are anxious? Is it because The Father\, your Shepard\, has failed to take care of you? Absolutely not! Even though you may have to cry and sometimes walk in a place where you cannot “see” God at work\, you must have confidence.  \nDaniel 10:12 Then he said to me\, “Do not be afraid\, Daniel\, for from the first day that you set your heart on understanding this and on humbling yourself before your God\, your words were heard\, and I have come in response to your words. (American Standard Bible ASB)  \nGod is not wishy-washy. He does not take pleasure in your distress. The foundation of your relationship with God is you know He hears you. Take on the attitude of a sheep. Whatever is going on in your life\, God is at work for the good of them who love God\, and are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28) This is not a promise that He is going to work it out “your good” as you see it. He is going to work it out for “the good” that His has purposed and planned for all those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. That slight difference in wording should change what you expect from God in a major way. He may not do the specific thing you asked\, however\, He is in control. God looks after you like a shepherd looks after his sheep. Because you have God’s promise\, you don’t have to worry. He will take care of you.  \nGive Him praise because He is Jehovah Roi [ja-hō-va  rō-hī] (The LORD My Shepherd). \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have often heard sheep referred to as stupid animals. You taught me people considered them stupid because they did not think or decide or their own. You prompted me to study and\, in my obedience\, I found sheep are not survivors. They are not strong and independent. They are not hunters or fierce predators. Now I understand why Your word instructs me to be like a sheep. I have also found it is in my best interest not to think or decide on my own; I cannot survive without You; and I don’t want to live independently from You. I will gladly  be Your sheep. Like them\, I want to depend on the Shepherd entirely. Like them\, I don’t want to be left alone. You are my Shepard; You take care of me and You never leave me alone. You are always watching over me. I may not always acknowledge or appreciate the provisions You make for me every day and I repent for that. What I know is\, not because of anything I have done\, I’m still here. The devil hasn’t destroyed my life. Thank You for loving me with such love that I cannot reject You. As You lead me\, I will follow You and seek You for everything I need. You are Jehovah Roi\, my shepherd… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
