(TMB) \nAre you willing to allow God to change you? \nOne of the devil’s tricks is to convince you that the “religious” infrastructure that is pleasing to the eye and to the flesh is enough for you. His goal is to make you believe you can survive and improve yourself\, by yourself. However\, you can’t fix yourself.  \nRomans 7:15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled\, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish\, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct condemns]. (AMPC) \nWhat joy the enemy has dragging you from church to church\, down the rabbit hole and up the mountain. He encourages you to purchase this and that self-help book\, to attend various inspirational seminars\, and motivational workshops\, convincing you that the help you need is just beyond the next purchase. You are trying to deal with who you are and make yourself better; when you are not sure who you are. Go to God for the solution to what you see (or someone told you was) as a problem. It may not be a problem at all.  \nRomans 12:2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you\, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life\, satisfying and perfect in his eyes. (TPT) \nGod skillfully designed and crafted you to produce a particular personality who does things a particular way. Who is better able to fix the creation you altered? You\, or The One Who created you? Allow God to make sure you work according to His plan. \nEphesians 2:10 For we are the product of His hand\, heaven’s poetry etched on lives\, created in the Anointed\, Jesus\, to accomplish the good works God arranged long ago. (TVT) \nWrong choices\, broken promises\, the pains of life\, and so many other circumstances and situations stain the heart. Allow the Lord to clean yours up.  \nPsalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart\, O God\, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. (NKJV) \nYou don’t have to think you know what is going on. There is no need to guess. You can get right to the matter if you ask the Lord to show you.   \nPsalm 139:23-24 God\, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. 24 See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on\, and lead me back to your glorious\, everlasting way—the path that brings me back to you. (TPT) \nThough you may have done some damage with bad choices\, stay in the presence of God. He will buff out the kinks and the scars you created when you went your own way. His boundless love provides even more blessing and benefits of repentance. \n\nGod will refresh you.\n\nActs 3:19 So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking\, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life]\, so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out\, completely erased]\, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]. He understands\, as he watches you\, how you normally respond to stress and difficult situations. He takes note of the things you usually do to manage your life\, handle situations\, deal with problems\, etc. Because his job is to steal\, kill and destroy\, he is looking for the opportunity to catch you unaware.  \n1 Peter 5:8 Be well balanced (temperate\, sober of mind)\, be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours\, the devil\, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger]\, seeking someone to seize upon and devour. (AMPC) \nThere is a reason Peter compared the devil to a lion. Not only is the devil the great deceiver; he is also a skilled\, confident\, and experienced hunter. Like the lion\, he patiently stalks his prey\, invisible to them. He works best “at night”. By night\, I mean when you are doing things you think no one sees. The devil possesses other lion-like attributes\, he: \n\nTries to pick you off when you are weak and/or sick.\n\nMatthew 4:2-3 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights\, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him\, he said\, “If You are the Son of God\, command that these stones become bread.” (NKJV) \n\nSets traps to catch you when you have grown weary. \n\nIsaiah 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary\, and the young men shall utterly fall. (NKJV) \n\nIs aware when you have isolated yourself because of circumstances in your life.\n\nEcclesiastes 4:9-10 Two people are better off than one\, for they can help each other succeed. 10 If one person falls\, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. (NLT) \n\nPlays with you\, instead of immediately going in for the kill. \n\nLuke 4:13 And when the devil had ended every [the complete cycle of] temptation\, he [temporarily] left Him [that is\, stood off from Him] until another more opportune and favorable time. (AMPC) \n\nWants to trick you into responding in a way you thought God delivered you from. \n\nRomans 7:15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do\, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature\, my worldliness—my sinful capacity]. (AMP) \nLike the lion\, he is constantly watching\, looking for some opening into your life where he can try to wreak havoc and devour you. Your responsibility is to be on your guard. However\, if he catches you from time to time\, while in his grasp\, you  can call out for help.  \nPsalm 91:15 I will answer your cry for help every time you pray\, and you will feel my presence in your time of trouble. I will deliver you and bring you honor. (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 2:2 You used to live in sin\, just like the rest of the world\, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. (NLT) \nDo remember who you used to be? \nAre there times when you forget who you were before salvation? Don’t allow the enemy to take away your testimony. Your heavenly Father has forgiven you. Your sins are in the sea of forgetfulness. God promised to remember them no more. Those are all reasons to celebrate. Your celebration is your testimony. If the devil has his way\, you won’t tell it. You will conveniently leave out the ugly parts of your past.  \nEphesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved by faith. Nothing you did could ever earn this salvation\, for it was the love gift from God that brought us to Christ! 9 So no one will ever be able to boast\, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving. (TPT) \nYou don’t want to “act like” you did not need to be saved. Be careful that when you place your past in the sea of forgetfulness\, you don’t forget what God did for you. If you do\, you won’t have grace for those who are doing things you have forgotten you used to do.  \nPsalm 143:5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that You have done; I ponder the work of Your hands. (AMP) \nWithout the memory of what God did for you\, you will evaluate the actions of others\, continually finding fault. As you observe friends\, children\, coworkers\, etc.\, make sure you don’t give in to judgment. Read the parable of the unmerciful servant (Matthew 18:21-35 below).You don’t remember your past to be tormented by it. You remember your past to show mercy to others through your testimony. \nPsalm 145:6-8 We confess—there is nothing greater than You\, God\, nothing mightier than Your awesome works. I will tell of Your greatness as long as I have breath. 7 The news of Your rich goodness is no secret — Your people love to recall it and sing songs of joy to celebrate Your righteousness. (TVT) \nWhen you reflect on what God did for you\, you give Him glory for who you are now. When you meet someone who is in the same place where you used to be\, you understand everything he/she is going through. You can use where you were and what God did for you to speak life into the situation. Your transformation provides the foundation for the hope of your future. It also provides hope for anyone who hears your testimony.  \nRevelation 12:11 And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony\, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death. (AMP) \nYou have no testimony without tests. Remember what God did for you; He can and will do the same for others. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nDear Father God\, I admit for every time I have been judgmental of the flaws and the stumbles in the lives of those around me. I remember I repented when You convicted me. Even as I think of it\, I repent again right now. I am grateful for Your saving power. I am thankful for Your ability to deliver. I stand as a testimony to the miracle work You have done and continue to do in me\, as I submit myself to You. Help me tell my story. Your words will betray your heart and speak of a God who is not omnipotent\, omniscient\, omnipresent\, and sovereign. God has already won the battle. He created you\, and He knows exactly why He created you.  \nPhilippians 2:13 For it is [not your strength\, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you\, both to will and to work [that is\, strengthening\, energizing\, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure. (AMP) \nHe knows what you need to learn\, what you need to experience\, who you need to meet\, etc. He laid the plan to accomplish your purpose and He will. \nIsaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void\, But it shall accomplish what I please\, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. You base the struggles you have on your assessment of your life. When things don’t go the way you want them to\, you think something or someone is against you\, has hurt you\, has caused you some offense\, etc. You rarely look at the situation and find that you may be at the root of your discomfort. However\, you can and just might be.  \n\nAs the Lord to help you see what is in your heart.\n\nJeremiah 17:9-10 The heart is deceitful above all things\, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely\, mortally sick! Who can know it [perceive\, understand\, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]? 10 I the Lord search the mind\, I try the heart\, even to give to every man according to his ways\, according to the fruit of his doings. (AMPC) \n\nBe aware of what causes you to behave other than how God would want.\n\nRomans 7:17-20 But I need something more! (TMB) \nAre you asking the Father to teach your hands to war? \nDo you ever stop to think about your life and make sense of all you have experienced? Did you realize you are in a war? However difficult it may be to grasp\, it is still true. Whether or not you are asking God\, He is still teaching you to war effectively. He spells it out in scripture. \n\nHe is teaching you who you are at war with\, not people.\n\nEphesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood\, but against principalities\, against powers\, against the rulers of the darkness of this world\, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV) \n\nHe is teaching you what the enemy uses against you\, your own desires.\n\n1 John 2:16 Practically everything that goes on in the world—wanting your own way\, wanting everything for yourself\, wanting to appear important—has nothing to do with the Father. It is in your understanding of who God is and what He says.\n\nGenesis 3:1\, 4-5 Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle\, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the Lord God had made.
