(KJV) \nAre you excited about what you will reap? \nLeadership often uses the concept of sowing and reaping as a prophecy of punishment. Often because you didn’t do what someone wanted you to do\, or you didn’t act the way someone thought you should act. Especially if that someone was in a place of spiritual authority in your life. The thing that they would say to you is\, “You know\, you reap what you sow”. The wonderful thing about God is\, yes\, you reap what you sow. Have you ever stopped to think about what happens if you are sowing things that bring God glory? What if you are sowing happiness\, joy\, and peace? The fact of the matter is\, you will reap that as well. \nLuke 6:38 Give\, and it shall be given unto you; good measure\, pressed down\, and shaken together\, and running over\, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (KJV) \nA great lesson as you learn to fight this battle against the enemy is: all of what you do is a part of your instruction and your training; and there are benefits. Even if there are repercussions you may feel are unpleasant to you; the benefit is the wisdom you gained. Know this\, if you sow peace; you reap joy!  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. I am grateful You have taught me how to sow crops whose harvest is Your glory. You bless me and I want to bless You. I am growing and maturing. DESCRIPTION:Proverbs 14:9 Fools make fun of guilt\, but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation. (NLT) \nAre you happy you got away with it? \nIsn’t it great to have milestones to test how you are progressing? Glad you think so. Here is another one. Are there times when you did something you knew was wrong\, and you thought you got away with it. Only foolish people would revel in that experience. Those who love God would want to make it right. What does “making it right” mean?  \nPsalms 19:12-13 Without this revelation-light\, how would I ever detect the waywardness of my heart? Lord\, forgive my hidden flaws whenever you find them. 13 Keep cleansing me\, God\, \nand keep me from my secret\, selfish sins; may they never rule over me! For only then will I be free from fault and remain innocent of rebellion. (TPT) \nMaking it right could take on many forms. The first thing you need to do is repent. Why? Because you did not really get away with it. The devil is fooling you. In the natural\, it may appear no one knows. However\, in the Spirit\, you have sinned and made your heart dirty. The Lord cannot look upon sin. Repenting is the only way out of the place. Psalms 51 is an amazing passage when you are in this place. Read through it and allow the Lord to forgive you and fill you with joy. Here are a couple of verses that go right to the issue: \nPsalm 51:1 Have mercy upon me\, O God\, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity\, and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 6 Behold\, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. \nAfter spending the time with the Lord\, He will direct you as to your next steps\, if any. You may need to give the item back\, confess your wrong(s)\, return the overpayment\, ask for forgiveness\, etc. Keep in mind\, there is one more person who knows what happened besides you\, God knows. Now\, there is no condemnation in God. However\, the Holy Spirit will convict you if you allow Him to have His way; then you go to God because you have sinned against Him\, and allow Him to make your heart right. \nPsalm 51: 10\, 12\, 17 Create in me a clean heart\, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart\, O God\, thou wilt not despise. \nDeal with the spiritual issue and He will help you deal with the natural one. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I come to You this morning and I thank You for the Holy Spirit. I thank You for making me aware of Your feelings about everything I do. Sometimes I don’t realize an error in judgment or action\, and sometimes I do. You have taught me to ask You daily to forgive me of any sin I have committed deliberately or innocently in thought\, word\, or deed. I ask You that right now. Please continue to show me when I need to repent if I miss it. I know sometimes there is nothing else that I can do beyond repentance\, or You may not require anything else. If there is a way for me to make recompense\, show me how\, no matter the cost or consequences to me. If I can’t make it right in the natural\, I am confessing what You have shown me and You will cleanse me and wash me from all iniquity. (NLT) \nAre your friends real or counterfeit? \nThe FBI trains their agents to spot counterfeit money by looking at it and touching it. God can train you to do the same things with those you interact with. You rely on the Holy Spirit and use discernment.  \nThe world uses the word friend as a catchphrase for everyone they know; you need clarity when you talk about your friends. For the sake of this devotional\, the word “friend” refers to the people you allow into your inner circle; those you share your life with; those who help you make tough decisions; and those who can speak into your heart\, especially when you’re feeling low. \nWith that understanding\, you need a friend who will tell you when you’re wrong\, remind you “what” you believe\, “Who” you believe in\, and “Who” you belong to. \n  \n\n\n\nReal Friends\nCounterfeit Friends\n\n\nKeep you from making the mistake of accusing God\, blaming God\, or making your situation about what God has not done.\nCommiserate with you\, tell you God is mad at you\, and fail to lead you into the presence of God. \n\n\nHelp you realize your circumstances are really about what God is trying to do in\, with\, and through you.\nHelp you identify how and why\, you have been mistreated\, who mistreated you\, and what you should do about it.\n\n\nRequire that you remember God is in \ncontrol and He loves you.\nTell you to take control of your own situation and do what needs to be done.\n\n\n\n  \nJob 2:9-10 Then his wife said to him\, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? (NKJV) \nYour real friends will cause you to stop\, look\, and listen\, even if they make you mad. Remember\, not only do you need a real friend; you need to be a real friend too. The Bible identifies the greatest friendship you ever want in James 2:23. \nJames 2:23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says\, “Abraham believed God\, and this [faith] was credited to him [by God] as righteousness and as conformity to His will\,” and he was called the friend of God. (AMP) \nIf you can be a friend of God\, you will have no problem being a friend to anyone else. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for surrounding me with friends who love You more than they love me. Those who care enough about me to tell me when I am wrong. I thank You for putting people in my life who are concerned about my spiritual growth; and they identify my missteps in actions\, conversation\, and in attitude. I repent for not honoring You by appreciating them more. I am sorry. Without those people\, I know I would prolong the training I’m currently in. Thank You for the people You placed in my path\, who love me enough to show me You no matter what I am going through. Whether I am dealing with a problem\, rejoicing over something great that has happened\, or when I am crying over a mistake I have made; they help me wipe my tears. It does not matter what I am crying about\, and especially when I am wrong. Thank You for helping me develop my character. You made it possible for me to be a friend to You and to others. DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves\, covetous\, boasters\, proud\, blasphemers\, disobedient to parents\, unthankful\, unholy\, (KJV) \nDo you have an “it’s all about me” attitude? \nIf Jesus has not returned\, it does not matter what year someone reads this devotional\, today’s text will continue to prophesy. There will always be people who have the “it’s all about me” attitude. They have become their own idol. You see it when you watch the news or read the news. You see it in your home and at your job. It really does not matter where you find yourself\, you see it. Sadly\, you can even see it in the church. I don’t know if it is fair to say that this personality is more dangerous in the church than in other places. However\, it is what I believe. There is a different expectation in the church. You don’t believe you will run into spiritual leaders who have no boundaries\, no conscious or compassion. If that is you\, ask God to show you and help you. \nPhilippians 2:3-5 Be free from pride-filled opinions\, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts\, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. 4 Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. 5 And consider the example that Jesus\, the Anointed One\, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation. (TPT) \nThere is nothing wrong with being charismatic and wanting to be accepted. There is nothing wrong with having goals and running after them. Just be careful and take the time to know what is motivating you and how you are setting your goals. This is invaluable training. Evaluate everything that inspires you and get to the place where you deny your own flesh\, then God can use you.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Because You know me\, You know every place where I would allow the enemy to erect an idol within me. Lord\, please forgive me for living like I cared more about You\, when I actually cared more about myself. Keep reminding me of Your love for me\, then I can show love to others. Keep reminding me of Your acceptance of me; then I won’t compromise to be accepted and I won’t reject others. Keep reminding me of the work You have called me to\, and I won’t take it for granted. I never want to be found with an ungrateful and selfish heart. You have taught me You resist the proud and give grace to the humble. I am excited that I can make my boast in You. I can celebrate what You have done in my life and not be prideful. DESCRIPTION:Jude 16 These people are grumblers and complainers\, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves\, and they flatter others to get what they want. (NLT) \nAre you murmuring and faultfinding? \nWhen you think about a prideful person\, what comes to mind? Believe it or not\, people who are full of pride constantly stand in judgement. They continually make assessments of themselves and everything around them. They make comparisons at every level\, and they are often very unconstructive. You don’t want to be the type of person who has a negative outlook. That negativity often comes from comparing what you think with the thoughts and activities of others.  \nWhat is the benefit of looking around to see what someone else has that you don’t have? Or what you have that someone else does not have? It is a trick of the enemy. That is the first step into apostacy (renouncing Christianity’s beliefs and principles). The devil wants you to spend all of your time assessing\, judging and comparing that you become puffed up\, angry and/or disillusioned with God. First you start subtly pointing out differences. Then it gets more intense until that is all you do. You find things that are wrong at home\, at the office\, at the church\, with your boss\, with the pastor\, with the policies\, the procedures\, and anything and everything else.  \nThe sad thing is your negative conversation is for promoting yourself because you are full of pride. You would have done it differently and you could do it better. All the while\, the devil is sitting back\, rubbing his hands and laughing. His next trap for you to step into is to engage in competition for a position or a title. You will use what you consider as your strengths and abilities\, and you will say and do things to curry favor.  \nIf you are that person\, you will also find you spend more time complaining about God than celebrating God. You will be busy trying to scheme and work to attain what Jesus already paid the price for. (Read Isaiah 14:12-21) Stop right now and ask God for forgiveness and deliverance. You may have lost the joy and the peace\, gained by the victory of the cross\, for a time. It does not have to stay that way. \nEzekiel 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you\, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh\, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you\, and cause you to walk in my statutes\, and ye shall keep my judgments\, and do them. (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, help me recognize when I’m being negative\, and when I am being prideful. I know You have called me to a position of influence. I also can persuade people because You allow them to see me as confident and self-assured. It does not matter if I actually am as confident as they think. I never want my attitude and comments to taint someone. I know I can come to You and confess and You will wash me. Before now I have not thought about the person I affected? I might have left them in that place. I repent for my words and actions\, and I ask You to touch them now and remove any damage that I may have done. Help me see You at work\, in everything and in everyone. Help me encourage others to follow and to obey Your word and Your voice only. I don’t want to be the one who is pulling others away because of my feelings or opinions. Bridle my tongue when I am overwhelmed. I want to build up and not tear down. Father God\, I want You to use me for Your glory. I don’t want to wonder what Jesus would do. I need You to help me talk like Jesus did. Help me walk like Jesus did. Help me act like Jesus did. (KJV) \nAre you taking the time to know God for yourself? \nIf you truly want to be equipped for battle\, your life experiences will send you to the word\, where you will look for answers to everyday problems. It is an important part of your training. It is necessary to go to the word because that is how you come to know the God you believe in and serve. You have to study\, pray\, and be in continual communion with the Lord. If you do\, you will know. You will also be able to resist when someone who is deceitful and crafty comes to draw you away from the truth.  \n1 John 2:26-28  I also am writing to warn you about some who are attempting to deceive you. 27 You have an anointing. You received it from Him\, and His anointing remains on you. You do not need any other teacher. But as His anointing instructs you in all the essentials (all the truth uncontaminated by darkness and lies)\, it teaches you this: “Remain connected to Him.” 28 So now\, my little children\, live in Him\, so that whenever He is revealed\, we will have confidence and not have to hang our heads in shame before Him when He comes. (TVT) \nDo you understand what happened to Eve in the garden? The Bible says the devil deceived her. It does not say she disobeyed. (1 Timothy 2:14). The devil preyed on her ignorance and on her insecurity. She was not sure what the Lord said\, and she was not content with what the Lord had done. She wanted more\, which is amazing because she already had more; she just did not know it. Had she been sure of God’s plan\, provision and promises\, she would not have fallen into transgression. Many say she sinned. Those two by themselves are bad enough. When you put both of them together\, they are dangerous at another level. You don’t want to be in a place where the enemy can say to you\, “Did God really say…” You want to say to the enemy\, just as Jesus did\, “It is written.” \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for wisdom. Your word instructs me not to be ignorant of satan’s devices and to be alert and aware of his activity. Your wisdom allows me to accomplish what You have commanded. If I will remain steadfast in my study\, the devil cannot trick me and deceive me with questions I don’t know the answer to. I will continue to spend time with You. Thank You\, Father God\, for calling me to a place where I seek the scriptures for answers and not man. I sorry for saying\, “that is what I was told; that is how it has always been done; I am not sure why I do this\, or I was just following what everyone else was doing\,” and thinking any of those answers was OK. I repent for not spending the time I needed to give an answer that glorifies You. I spend time with You now\, and I can give a reason for the hope I have\, for the walk I walk\, and for the faith I place in You. I know the enemy is crafty. I will live in You and not allow ignorance and insecurity to be his way into my life. DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 4:3 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing]\, they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another\, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold\, (AMP) \nAre you always being challenged\, not being changed? \nThere are people who go to the gym socially and have no intention of really training to achieve a goal. They go in order to say with pride\, “I work out as at the gym for an hour at least three times a week.” The problem is\, those who see them don’t see a change in their physique that a person would get from an hour-long workout three times a week. \nThere are people who attend church who have no intention of pursuing a deeper relationship with the Lord. They follow the same pattern as the one going to the gym. The problem is\, you can’t be transformed if you never apply what is being said. It is not enough to only sit and listen. \nYou can get every inspirational book and CD available. The purchases make it appear as if you are interested in growing. However\, do you read the books and listen to the CDs\, or do you just want to make yourself “feel” spiritual? You might find a place\, church\, ministry\, etc. where you can get a title and a position based on who you are pretending to be. However\, when the time comes\, and you are challenged and motivated to grow; do you change\, or do you leave? \nJames 1:22-25 But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts]\, and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning]\, deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. 23 For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it\, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away\, he immediately forgets what he looked like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the perfect law\, the law of liberty\, and faithfully abides by it\, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys]\, he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience]. (AMP) \nWhatever day you decide that being challenged is not enough\, you will allow the Lord’s transformation process to begin. If you are chasing after God\, there is a still voice whispering to you\, “This is the way\, walk therein.” (Isaiah 30:21). Your job is to obey.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Thank You for keeping me grounded. The small amount I know does not put me in a place where I can coast along until You return. I’ve been in several meetings and trainings that truly challenged me. However\, I didn’t always leave those meetings and apply what I had heard\, and I did not change. I repent. I am sorry and I will work not to let that happen again. Lord\, I want to know You more. You are calling me to a place of spirituality and releasing me from the bondage of religion. Help me stand when I am being stretched. I don’t want to give up because I think it is too hard. (ESV) \nWhether you do one of these things\, a combination of them\, or you do something that is not on the list; if you are your focus\, there is no room for God. You don’t have to say\, “There is no God.” Why? Because you don’t give Him praise for the things He has done in your life or through your life. You don’t share your thoughts about Him and speak of how He has guided your wishes and desires. Actually\, you don’t talk about Him. You leave Him out because He would interfere with “your” plans. Before you realize it\, your own desires have enticed you and pulled you away. You have broken your promise to obey God’s will. As Paul encourages\, examine yourself every day.  \nPsalm 139:23-24 God\, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through all my anxious cares. 24 See if there is any path of pain I’m walking on\, and lead me back to your glorious\, everlasting way — the path that brings me back to you. Even when things are not going how I want them to go\, remind me\, in whatever way that You deem necessary\, You are in control. You are the same God today\, yesterday\, and forevermore. Help me act like I know You don’t stop being God because I have a situation\, a problem\, or an issue. Continue to remind me that my life is not mine to direct\, and it is not about me\, not now and not ever. It is about the vision that You have for the world that Jesus died for and how You will use me to do my part to bring it to pass. (KJV) \nAre you functioning from a religious obedience or as directed by God? \nWith each generation quotes 2 Timothy 3:1 and makes the statement\, “we are living in the last days.” That statement is just as true today as it was in previous generations\, “you are living in the last days”. Let’s take a moment and look at what it means to live in the last days. \n2 Timothy 3:2- 5a For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic\, self-focused]\, lovers of money [impelled by greed]\, boastful\, arrogant\, revilers\, disobedient to parents\, ungrateful\, unholy and profane\, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection\, calloused and inhumane]\, irreconcilable\, malicious gossips\, devoid of self-control [intemperate\, immoral]\, brutal\, haters of good\, 4 traitors\, reckless\, conceited\, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God\, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion)\, although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. (AMP) \nYou live in a time where anyone can say anything they want\, anywhere they want\, about anyone they want. Christians are going with the flow. There doesn’t seem to be a distinction between the standard of living for someone who is saved and someone who is not. In a response to this world\, churches have become “legalistic”. The spiritual leaders of today don’t realize they are doing the same thing the Pharisees did with the Ten Commandments. They believe if they create enough things you “can’t do”\, then you will uphold what God has ordained for you “to do”. Just like the Pharisees\, they look and act like God’s people. However\, they deny His power to work His will in everyone. It is an unhealthy time for your walk with the Lord\, when your spiritual leaders think they are responsible for who you are and what you should and should not do. They are usurping the authority of God and\, by doing so\, add to the perils of these times. Your transition to the next level of training will happen when you learn how to successfully navigate these perilous times\, trusting in the leading of the Holy Spirit\, first.  \n2 Peter 3: 17b-18 Keep up your guard and don’t let unprincipled people pull you away from the sure ground of the truth with their lies and misunderstandings. 18 Instead\, grow in grace and in the true knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus\, the Anointed\, to whom be glory\, now and until the coming of the new age. Amen. (TVT) \nYour relationship with God is the foundation for your growth. It has to be real and personal. Don’t become confused and think that you are serving God when you are actually serving legalism. \nEphesians 4:14-15 And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble\, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers who teach clever lies. 15 But instead we will remain strong and always sincere in our love as we express the truth. All our direction and ministries will flow from Christ and lead us deeper into him\, the anointed Head of his body\, the church. (TPT) \nYour responsibility is to continue to do what God is calling you to do: spend time with Him\, study\, worship and allow Him to lead. You will want to get guidance from those you feel are further along than you. Don’t mistake guidance with endorsement. You only need to be validated by the Lord. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I am so thankful. Because of You\, I can be at peace during perilous times. I thank You for giving me the strength not to be pulled to the left or to the right. I repent for the time I spent trying to please people instead of making sure I was pleasing You first. I stand on my growing knowledge of who You are and my desire to fulfill Your purpose for my life. Though I praise You for the Spiritual Leaders You chose to speak into in my life\, I am grateful man-made rules and restrictions do not dictate my relationship with You. I know the leaders use Your word to guide\, direct\, protect\, and discipline. As You lead me\, receiving guidance\, direction\, protection\, and discipline is\, and will continue to be\, my job as well. Because of the time I spend with You\, You show me when I am moving in the wrong direction or when I have wrong thinking. Without You\, I can become just like those in 2nd Timothy 3. Thank You for being faithful to light to my path\, convict me when I am straying\, and chastise me when I am wrong. That lets me know I am Your child. Your presence enables me to do what You have called me to do. I thank You for freedom; I thank You for liberty; I thank You for keeping me\, and I won’t use the liberty and freedom You have provided callously or as an excuse to sin. In either case\, you might make statements like: \n“If this is what Christian love is\, I don’t want it.” \n“Maybe he/she is right\, and this Christianity thing does not make sense.” \n“I am the master of my fate and the captain of my ship.” \n“I make things happen for me and no one else can.” \n“This is too hard\, no one can live the way God wants.” \nWhen you get to that place\, run to the Father. Don’t stop to think\, just go to Him and say: \nPsalm 61 O God hear my prayer. Even those who don’t know God do that. 35 But love your enemies and continue to treat them well. When you lend money\, don’t despair if you are never paid back\, for it is not lost. You will receive a rich reward and you will be known as true children of the Most High God\, having his same nature. For your Father is famous for his kindness to heal even the thankless and cruel. 36 Show mercy and compassion for others\, just as your heavenly Father overflows with mercy and compassion for all.” (TPT) \nWhether a person knows what kind of vibe they give off or not; they know what kind of vibe they receive. When you show empathy to a person who is without kindness\, you make a difference. Not only in their lives\, you also make a difference in your own life. Every time you show kindness instead of judgement\, you are developing compassion. As your compassion grows\, your capacity to love grows as well. Use as your example the love Jesus had when He died for you and still has as He makes intercession for you.  \nEphesians 4:32 Be kind and helpful to one another\, tender-hearted [compassionate\, understanding]\, forgiving one another [readily and freely]\, just as God in Christ also forgave you. (AMP) \nYou don’t want your actions to be a “onetime” thing. You want compassion to become a part of who you are and become an “all-the-time” thing. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nMy Father\, I did not really understand compassion until I got old enough to understand what it took for You to save me. Then I realized\, when I was not thinking about You; when I was Your enemy; when I was lost in sin; You loved me and gave Your life for me. Even now\, I try to be obedient and do what You require. Sometimes I miss it\, and I repent. Thank You for forgiving me and continuing to love me and bless me despite me. You are compassion. I thank You for every opportunity to represent You. I desire for my actions to show You to a world who doesn’t know You and therefore cannot understand who You are. I know You are training me to show love and mercy in any and every situation; not just when it is shown to me. Your love has to show through me\, especially when it’s not shown to me. As you live your life in constant communion with God\, you will begin to develop into the person He created you to be. You will get greater revelation and clarity. Don’t stop seeking\, praying\, and studying. This is not the time for you to stop training and start trying to identify your “ultimate call.” It is a trick of the enemy. If you stop training\, you be like the unsaved Israelites. \nRomans 10: 2-3  For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God\, but not according to knowledge. 3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness\, and seeking to establish their own righteousness\, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. (NKJV) \nStay the course and allow God to move you at His will and pace. \nPhilippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing\, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (NKJV) \nIt is not enough to know what gifts God has given you\, you also have to allow Him to develop those gifts. Then you can complete the tasks He has assigned to you. \nHebrews 13:20-25 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead\, that great Shepherd of the sheep\, through the blood of the everlasting covenant\, 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will\, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight\, through Jesus Christ\, to whom be glory forever and ever. DESCRIPTION:1 John 4:6 6 We [who teach God’s word] are from God [energized by the Holy Spirit]\, and whoever knows God [progressively to perceive\, recognize\, and understand God by observation and experience and to get an ever-clearer knowledge of Him] listens to us [and has a deeper understanding of Him]. Whoever is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know [without any doubt] the spirit of truth [motivated by God] and the spirit of error [motivated by Satan]. (AMP) \nAre you too concerned about being accepted? \nWhen people agree with you\, it makes you feel approved and recognized. Wanting to be accepted is a part of being human. As you live your life each day\, you will come in contact with people who do not understand why you feel the way you do; why you make the choices you make; why you respond the way you respond\, etc. It is okay. As a believer\, the only way a person can and will understand your “whys”; is if they understand who God is. It is not enough for them to see who God is in your life or even who He is in their lives. They have to see who He is to everyone in the world. If you feel you are not being accepted\, you cannot make someone understand or agree with the stand you take. Your actions and reactions come from your relationship with God.  \nOn the other hand\, if what you hear from God does not line up with the people who are offering you acceptance\, another issue is at stake. It is important to allow The Father to guide you. Knowing the difference between what is right and what is wrong is not always easy\, especially when you are deciding on being accepted by someone or a group you want to be a part of. The very intelligent\, crafty and persuasive people can make error look a lot like truth. God gives you the knowledge and wisdom to know the difference. \nMark 8:34-37 Jesus called the crowd together with His disciples\, and said to them\, If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple]\, he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests]\, and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me\, conforming to My example in living and\, if need be\, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. 35 For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death]\, but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake and the gospel’s will save it [from the consequences of sin and separation from God]. 36 For what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world [with all its pleasures]\, and forfeit his soul? 37 For what will a man give in exchange for his soul and eternal life [in God’s kingdom]? (AMP) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, I come to You asking for wisdom as I deal with those who cross my path each day. Help me distinguish between those who don’t accept me and those who reject You. In either case\, show me if there’s something You would desire for me to say or do. I repent for getting my feeling entangled and trying to fix it myself. In every situation\, please lead me in the path You have chosen and give me the words to say that will bring understanding\, enlightenment\, and give me peace. Sometimes I was overwhelmed because of the choices I made and sometimes because of choices that were made for me. I have learned to move my problems from the center of my consciousness and replace it with the knowledge of You. You reassure me\, and You lift me up. You continue to tell me that no matter what life brings\, Your love is greater. Your love supersedes the feelings I may have about my current state. I then shift my focus to the truth of Your love. Finally\, and most importantly\, you need the presence of God\, evident in your life\, to make “informed choices about your plan”.  \nProverbs 4:1-2\, 5 Hear\, O children\, the instruction of a father\, And pay attention [and be willing to learn] so that you may gain understanding and intelligent discernment. 2 For I give you good doctrine; Do not turn away from my instruction. 5 Get [skillful and godly] wisdom! Acquire understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment\, mature comprehension\, and logical interpretation]! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. (KJV) \n1 Thessalonians 5:15-18  Make sure no one returns evil for evil\, but always pursue what is good as it affects one another in the church but also all people. 16 Celebrate always\, 17 pray constantly\, and 18 give thanks to God no matter what circumstances you find yourself in. Do you quote Proverbs 3:5-7 regularly?  \nProverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all your heart\, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him\, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; \nFear the Lord and depart from evil. (NKJV) \nDo you actually acknowledge God in all your ways? Are there things you run headlong into without pause and then expect God to give you “your” expected end? Do you get discouraged when things don’t turn out the way you planned? Though it may have seemed like a good idea\, at the time\, quite possibly it was not a “God” idea. You want to submit yourself\, your thoughts\, and your ideas to the Father. Here is the better thing: you also want Him to say no when it is not what He wants for your life. Most importantly\, you want to be excited when He says no\, not disappointed or discouraged. You do not know what He saved you from or what better plans He has for you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. When you get revelation\, make sure your actions and your attitude line up with what you read and what God has revealed. It is your responsibility to use the word as a guide. You don’t want to commit acts of sin because you don’t know better. The word will help you distinguish between sins of commission and sins of omission. In the world there is a saying\, “ignorance of the law is no defense.” The same is true with the Father. There is no reason for you not to know. The word is there\, read it\, understand it and apply it. \n1 John 2:24-27 So you must be sure to keep the message burning in your hearts; that is\, the message of life you heard from the beginning. If you do\, you will always be living in close fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 25 And he himself has promised us the never-ending life of the ages to come! 26 I’ve written these things about those who are attempting to lead you astray. 27 But the wonderful anointing you have received from God is so much greater than their deception and now lives in you. In this way man’s spirit is free to become the ruling influence again in the thoughts and intentions of the heart. The scrutiny of this word detects every possible disease\, discerning the bodies deepest secrets were joint and bone-marrow meet. (TMB) \nWho is fooling who? \nYou may be able to fool others\, and sadly yourself. The word of God\, because it is God\, cannot be fooled. Your mind is incredibly fascinating. It can create defense mechanisms and intricate unrealistic self-images. It even allows you to act like the image is real\, even though you know it is not. That’s why it’s extremely important for you to stay in the word. You need the word to wash over you\, to examine you\, and to show you who you really are. \nJames 1:23-25 If some fail to do what God requires\, it’s as if they forget the word as soon as they hear it. One minute they look in the mirror\, and the next they forget who they are and what they look like. 25 However\, it is possible to open your eyes and take in the beautiful\, perfect truth found in God’s law of liberty and live by it. If you pursue that path and actually do what God has commanded\, then you will avoid the many distractions that lead to an amnesia of all true things and you will be blessed. (TVT) \nYou want the cleansing and correction of the word\, not for you to feel bad. You want to be cleansed to get excited. You can\, finally\, get off the roller coaster of saying one thing and really thinking and doing something else. You can stop trying to live a life you’ve said was you and falling short. You can stop appearing to be a liar or just duplicitous.  \nMatthew 5:37 A simple ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ will suffice. Anything beyond this springs from a deceiver. (TPT) \nYou can simply be who you are. You can say\, “love me or hate me\, take me or leave me.” Then you can let God do what He had already planned to do in you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. I repent for not acknowledging my need for You to show me what’s there\, as well as what’s not there every day. Help me not to function in such a place of insecurity that I am fodder for the enemy. Help me embrace who I am\, all of who I am. Your word says I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I have to believe it. I don’t have to re-create an image of myself in order to please someone or make myself fit in. I can just be me and allow You to shape me like clay on a potter’s wheel. (TMB) \nAre you loving with the love of God? \nDo you sometimes evaluate someone else’s life\, picking out their flaws\, indiscretions\, and mistakes? Are you sometimes really critical? You may not be willing to accept this\, however\, you are actually being judgmental. It’s a terrible thing. This is yet another trap from the devil. Don’t fall into it. Remember who you used to be and how you used to act. Your memories should not give the enemy fuel to torment you. They should serve as a reality check. Though you may think so\, everything you did and everything you said did not come up smelling like roses.  \n1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you [before you believed]. But you were washed [by the atoning sacrifice of Christ]\, you were sanctified [set apart for God\, and made holy]\, you were justified [declared free of guilt] in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the [Holy] Spirit of our God [the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior]. (AMP) \nBefore Jesus\, and a time or two after Jesus\, you probably did some of the same things you are judging someone else for doing. You said little ugly things\, and you stirred up foolishness. Not because you wanted to\, not even because you tried to. You did it because you hadn’t relinquished complete control over to the Lord. You were still making choices without regard for the consequences of your actions. The trick of the enemy is to judge\, put away your magnifying glass and pick up a mirror. The power of Christ is to love. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, forgive me for being judgmental and critical. Forgive me for not remembering\, or pretending to forget\, the person I used to be. You found me\, rescued me\, and drew me closer to You. Though I might be proud of who I am today\, I know I am not the finished product. You are still working on me\, and I am grateful. I know You are doing the same in others. The greatest way to retreat is to meditate on the word and think about what the Father thinks about you. It’s a wonderful thing to know and feel the love of God. Walk in this realization: The God of all god’s\, the Lord of lords and the King of kings\, is concerned about you. (NIV) \nThe rest God is wants for you is not the normal rest you take from your daily work or relief from physical exhausted when you have worked hard. It is that profound peace that God gives to those who love and obey Him regardless of circumstances. (KJV) \nAre you willing to allow God to grow you up? \nA trick of the devil is to pull you into a moment where you reminisce about who you used to be and how you used to feel when you first got saved. Now\, he doesn’t want you to give glory to God for that event. His strategy is diabolical. What he wants to do is make you compare what you currently feel with what you once felt. If he’s able to show you a difference in how you feel\, he will also try to convince you there is something wrong with you. Ultimately\, he wants you to question your salvation. You’ll try to do things to prove God saved you. If you are not continually maturing in Christ\, the devil can be successful in convincing you did not get saved and you need to do the process over again. Stop him!  \n\nEither you are saved\, or you are not.\n\n1 John 5:11-13 And the testimony is this: God has given us eternal life [we already possess it]\, and this life is in His Son [resulting in our spiritual completeness\, and eternal companionship with Him]. 12 He who has the Son [by accepting Him as Lord and Savior] has the life [that is eternal]; he who does not have the Son of God [by personal faith] does not have the life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God [which represents all that Jesus Christ is and does]\, so that you will know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that you [already] have eternal life. (AMP) \n\nEither you believe in God\, or you do not.\n\n1 John 5:10 The one who believes in the Son of God [who adheres to\, trusts in\, and relies confidently on Him as Savior] has the testimony within himself [because he can speak authoritatively about Christ from his own personal experience]. (AMP) \nNo matter how much you liked elementary school; you had to move on; it is the same with Christ. To be victorious in this war\, mature in the things of God. Do not allow your emotions to rule you. Your salvation is not a feeling\, it is a fact. Stand on it. With each new level in Christ\, the enemy intensifies the warfare. It can sometimes make you forget the joy you felt when your salvation was new and you first believed. There is a remedy. At any moment you can say to God like David did\, “restore unto me the joy of thy salvation”. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Each day looked and felt new; I felt new. I wanted to continue to feel that way. I realize I can’t go back to that place; I repent for trying to recreate that moment and the distractions that pursuit caused. Thank You for forgiving me and letting me know You don’t want me to move backwards. You want me to use that moment as a launching pad and an altar. I can have the joy of Your salvation renewed in me. All I have to do is ask. I can spend more time with You and grow closer to You. I can experience new levels in You\, higher heights and deeper depths. I will not allow the memories of the moment of my salvation to overshadow new moments with You. My salvation experience will always be in my memory. Thinking about it will always make me smile. (TMB) \nWhose ideas do you really want? \nDo you realize that within you\, human you\, there is nothing good?  \nRomans 7:18-20 But I need something more! For if I know the law but still can’t keep it\, and if the power of sin within me keeps sabotaging my best intentions\, I obviously need help! I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it\, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good\, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad\, but then I do it anyway. My decisions\, such as they are\, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time. (MSG) \nYou can have ideas and intentions to produce something you believe will be a blessing for others. Just know\, though you may see them through to the end\, they will not produce the Godkind of results without God. This is also true even when God you are sure you are obeying the voice of God and you join Him in His work. The work must be by His power and strength. You go down the wrong path when you use “your money”\, “your passion”\, and “your strength”. The enemy will get you wrapped up in planning and orchestrating “good” things. Yet\, somehow\, the sacrifices you will have to make can often stop you in your tracks. You become exhausted because you are working in your own power and not God’s. \n\nAbraham tried to fix things when he lied about Sarah being his sister. (Genesis 20)\n\nGenesis 20:10-11 And Abimelech said to Abraham\, “What have you encountered or seen [in us or our customs]\, that you have done this [unjust] thing?” 11 Abraham said\, Because I thought\, ‘Surely there is no fear or reverence of God in this place\, and they will kill me because of my wife.’ (AMP)  \n\nSarah made a mess when she tried to make a way for Abraham to have offspring. The feud between those sons is still going on today. (Genesis 16\, 21)\nKing Saul tried to do a good thing and disobeyed God. (1 Samuel 15)\n\n1 Samuel 15:13-15 Then Samuel went to Saul\, and Saul said to him\, “Blessed are you of the Lord! I have performed the commandment of the Lord.” 14 But Samuel said\, “What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears\, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?” 15 And Saul said\, “They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen\, to sacrifice to the Lord your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed.” (NKJV)  \n\nPeter was trying to make sense of the old traditions and the new. (Acts 11)\n\nActs 11:7-9 I also heard a voice saying to me\, ‘Get up\, Peter; [a]kill and eat.’ 8 But I said\, ‘By no means\, Lord\, for nothing [b]unholy or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’ 9 But a voice from heaven answered a second time\, ‘What God has cleansed\, no longer [c]consider unholy’. (NASB) \nIf you are not careful\, you become unreliable and inconsistent. Ding! Another point for the devil! Don’t be ignorant of  his devices. Know the types of traps he sets for you. Allow God to guide you and direct you. The goal of your work must be for God’s glory. It cannot happen without God. If you spend time in the presence of the Father\, He will give you witty ideas and the grace to fulfill them. They may seem impossible for you to do\, which is exactly the way they should seem. It’s God’s idea\, and only God can fulfill the idea through you. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, today I stop coming up with things to do and asking You to bless my ideas. I am very sorry. Please forgive me. No longer do I want “good ideas\,” I want “Your ideas”. I will wait for You to order my steps\, light my path\, and show me what You want me to do. I used to be anxious when things don’t happen when I want them to\, how I want them to\, and where I want them to. That stops today! I also stop looking for the response I want to receive from those who are in my life and from You. If I don’t\, anxiety and frustration make my heart heavy and block You out. I will do what Your word says. I will be anxious for nothing. I want more of You and I will wait for You. DESCRIPTION:Romans 3:10 As it is written\, There is none righteous\, no\, not one: (KJV) \nHow are you stacking up to the model Jesus set? \nA subtle device of the devil is to get you focused on all the great things you do. You serve in and out of the church. You love and you quote Scripture. Do you actually believe what the scriptures say? No matter how wonderful you may think you are\, all of your righteousness is as filthy rags. \nIsaiah 64:6 We are all messed up like a person compromised with impurity; even all our right efforts are like soiled rags. We’re drying up like a leaf in autumn and are blown away by wrongdoing. (TVT) \nThe other strategy the devil uses is to help you identify someone “you think” is not doing as well as you. You compare yourself with them and say\, “At least I don’t do…” Then you feel even more proud of who you are. Does that remind you of someone you’ve read about in the Bible?  \nLuke 18:10-13 Once there were two men who went into the temple to pray. One was a proud religious leader\, the other a despised tax collector. 11–12 The religious leader stood apart from the others and prayed\, ‘How I thank you\, O God\, that I’m not wicked like everyone else. They’re cheaters\, swindlers\, and crooks—like that tax collector over there. God\, you know that I never cheat or commit adultery; I fast from food twice a week and I give you a tenth of all I make.’ 13 The tax collector stood off alone in the corner\, away from the Holy Place\, and covered his face in his hands\, feeling that he was unworthy to even look up to God. Beating his breast\, he sobbed with brokenness and tears saying\, ‘God\, please\, in your mercy and because of the blood sacrifice\, forgive me\, for I am nothing but the most miserable of all sinners!’ (TPT) \nThe only legitimate comparison you can make is between you and Jesus. Those differences are the only ones that mean anything. A great place to start is Galatians 5:22-23. Do you have the love\, joy (gladness)\, peace\, patience (an even temper\, forbearance)\, kindness\, goodness (benevolence)\, faithfulness\, gentleness (meekness\, humility)\, self-control (self-restraint\, continence) that Jesus showed? Those are the differences you want identified. Then you can allow God to make you better. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, forgive me for times when I was pious. Help me celebrate  when You identify reasons for me to. I am sorry for the times I made comparisons of my strengths to the flaws of others. I will not make excuses for it. I just repent. I never thought to compare my flaws to their strengths\, which is good because that is not what You want for me either. What You want is for me to compare myself to Jesus\, allow You to show me where  I need to mature\, and allow You to make me more and more like Him. You love me\, so now I know I can feel good about myself. I can feel good about me because You shaped me\, equipped me\, and called me. I am special in Your eyes. I don’t need self-confidence; I need God-confidence. I can’t see myself as You see me by comparing myself to others. DESCRIPTION:1 John 3:14 we have relocated from a system of dead works into the dynamic of authentic life in the way we love the family. Love is life; not to love is death. (TMB) \nDo you still have some dying to do? \nIn this warfare\, how you react in any situation is an indicator of your relationship with Christ. A sign of your salvation is our love for God\, and for your fellow man. If you cannot show love\, then you are not alive in Christ; you still have some flesh to crucify. How can you say you love God whom you have not seen and not love your fellow man whom you see every day? It’s a significant question.  \n1 John 4:20-21 If anyone says\, “I love God\,” and hates (works against) his brother or sister he is a liar; for the one who does not love his sister or brother whom he has seen\, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him\, that the one who loves God should also [unselfishly] demonstrate love to others and seek the best for them. (AMP\, edited) \nThere are some questions you can ask yourself to see if you have or still need to crucify your flesh: \n\nAm I praying sincerely and consistently? \n\nNot those quick prayers in the morning\, over your food and when you are going to work. Are you praying prayers of submission and acknowledgement of God’s control and will over your life? \n1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (AMP) \n\nAm I reading and studying the word every day? \n\nYou cannot only read the Bible like you would a novel if you want to be transformed. Reading begins the process. However\, you have to study if you want to apply the scripture to your life. \n2 Timothy 2:15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial)\, a workman who has no cause to be ashamed\, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. (AMPC) \n\nAm I living a lifestyle of repentance? \n\nYes\, God does know your heart and He will forgive you. However\, telling Him about your sins and asking for forgiveness is for you. It is not a onetime thing; it is what you do every time you sin. You confess\, not only to be forgiven; you confess because it will release the pain you feel as you admit to the Father you have done wrong.  \nPsalms 51:3-4 For I’m so ashamed. I feel such pain and anguish within me. I can’t get away from the sting of my sin against you\, Lord! Everything I did\, I did right in front of you\, for you saw it all. Against you\, and you above all\, have I sinned. Everything you say to me is infallibly true and your judgment conquers me. (TPT) \n\nAm I including God in everything? \n\nDo you have some things you ask God about and some that you decide to handle on your own? How is that working for you? \nProverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do\, and he will show you which path to take. (NLT) \n\nAm I choosing God every day and in every circumstance? \n\nDeuteronomy 30: 15-16 “See\, I have set before you today life and good\, death and evil\, in that I command you today to love the Lord your God\, to walk in His ways\, and to keep His commandments\, His statutes\, and His judgments\, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.” (NKJV) \n\nAm I doing what the word says or am I just reading it?\n\nJames 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts]\, and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning]\, deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. (AMP) \n\nAm I consistent or am I with Him only when things are going the way I want them to?\n\n1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore\, my beloved brothers and sisters\, be steadfast\, immovable\, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed]\, being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose]. (AMP) \nAre still weighing your love choices based on what you want and what may prove beneficial to you and your plans? Your plan is not foolproof. You are not omniscient. If you are choosing you\, there is still more dying for you to do. There are times you give yourself reasons for choosing what you want. Whatever those reasons are\, they are not valid in Christ. Your actions may not cause you to pause; however\, they do not show the love of God. In addition\, they reflect poorly on The One you profess to serve. Whatever happens\, God’s wishes for you do not change. It’s easy to love\, give\, and serve when things are going the way you think they should. When things are going to the left and you do not respond with love; you still have some dying to do. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You have shown me that Your love surpasses my understanding. I repent for pretending like I don’t understand the type of love and life You require\, because I do. Please forgive me. You taught me by allowing the death of Your Son for me. Understanding it and walking in it are two different things. Show me what stands in my way. Expose what is in my heart that keeps me from being an example of You. I want to live like You require; not just when things are going how I think they should go. I want the world to see You and not me when I am being tested. I want to love the ones who mistreat me; who I have mistakenly called unlovely; and who act like they don’t want love. DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 2:5 This is how Grace rescued us: sin left us dead towards God\, like spiritual corpses; yet in that state of deadness and indifference\, God co-quickened us together with Christ. Sin proved how dead we were (the law confirmed it!) Grace reveals how alive we are now (the gospel announces it!) Before anyone but God believed it\, He made us alive together with Him and raised us up together with Him. (TMB) \nDo you still think it’s about work you can do? \nThe enemy tries to convince you there is a certain amount of work you must do in order for God to love you. Look at Ephesians 2:8-9\, so settle your heart and mind. God’s love for you has everything to do with who He is. While you were dead in trespasses and sin\, you weren’t thinking about God. However\, because of His infinite grace and love\, He joined you together with Him. You accepted His love. Now you are saved!  \nEphesians 2:8a For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith.  \nThe reality is\, God’s love for you has nothing to do with what you may do or what you might have done\, bad or good. Defeat the enemy when he tries to remind you of your past by telling him about your future. \nEphesians 2:8b And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort]\, but it is the [undeserved\, gracious] gift of God;  \nIt’s not about you\, never was\, never will be. Don’t frustrate yourself and the grace of God by working to accomplish what God has already given you. Serve God out of your love for what He has done\, not out of obligation. It will help you stay in check when you compare what you do with what someone else is not doing or does not do. \nEphesians 2:8-9  not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law]\, so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. (TPT) \nDon’t allow the enemy to convince you of anything different. You will find one of the greatest points of this warfare in the truth of God’s love. If the enemy can make you believe you have to earn salvation or work to keep it; he will defeat you before you have begun. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nMy Lord and Father\, oh\, how excellent is Your grace and Your mercy towards me! I was going the way I wanted to go and doing the things I wanted to do. Your love rescued me and brought me into Your kingdom. I am sorry for thinking I was a “good” person\, and that was enough. I also repent for thinking there is some amount of good I can continue to do that will hold my place in heaven. Please forgive me and continually remind me there is no amount of good I think I have done; I can do right now; or can ever do or think of doing that could make me deserve Your love. I know I can’t repay You. DESCRIPTION:1 John 4:4 My darling children\, you have nothing to fear; do not doubt for a moment the legitimacy of your son ship! You originate in God and have already conquered the worldly religious system because of the unveiling of Christ in you! His living presence in you is far superior to the futile anti-Christ mindsets present in the world! (TMB) \nAre you being tormented by fear? \nFear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger\, evil\, pain\, etc. Fear exists whether the threat is real or imagined. It is one of the major devices the enemy uses in this war. He uses: \n\nFear of the unknown.\n\nSatan wants your focus to be on your future fears rather than on your present blessings. When your   focus is on the future and what may or may not happen\, your worries and fears about what tomorrow may bring\, etc. You are not living in the present and you miss all that God wants to teach you today. \nIsaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear [anything]\, for I am with you; Do not be afraid\, for I am your God. I will strengthen you\, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice\, of power\, of victory\, of salvation].’ (AMP) \n\nFear of the known. \n\nWhen you focus on things that have happened and what the outcome “may” be\, you forget to praise God for the things He’s doing in that moment. The devil hates it when you praise God\, especially in times of trouble. Why wouldn’t he do everything he can to keep your focus on fear and worry rather than on thanksgiving and praise? \nPsalm 42:5 So then\, my soul\, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God\, your Savior. For no matter what\, I will still sing with praise\, for you are my saving grace! (TPT) \n\nFear of losing control.\n\nSatan tricks you into believing that worrying gives you some control over your circumstances. The truth is\, you are not and will never be in control. You may tell yourself you are\, and sometimes it may feel as if you have control over your circumstances. However\, that’s not the truth. You don’t even have control over your breath. God is the only One in control and the only One who will ever be. \nJob 34:13-15 From the very beginning\, God has been in control of all the world. 14 If God took back the breath     that he breathed into us\, 15 we humans would die and return to the soil. (CEV) \n\nFear you’re not “really” saved. \n\nSalvation is not a feeling; it is a fact. IF you accepted Christ Jesus into your heart\, God saved you. There may be times when you don’t do\, think\, and say the things you feel a “saved person” would. However\, your salvation is not based on that. As you allow the Lord to transform you\, your behavior will change.  \nJohn 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive\, recognize\, become acquainted with\, and understand) You\, the only true and real God\, and [likewise] to know Him\, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One\, the Messiah)\, Whom You have sent. (AMPC) \n\nFear that one mistake can cost you everything. \n\nWhen you don’t understand the finished work of salvation\, you think it comes and goes\, depending on what you do or what you do not do. God is not like human beings. He did not save you because of who you are. He saved you because of who He is. He saved you knowing what you did\, what you are doing and what you will do. Salvation is forever because He said it is. There is nothing you can do to take God’s love away.  \nRomans 8:33-34 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is\, Who puts you in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God\, Who acquits us?] 34 Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah)\, Who died\, or rather Who was raised from the dead\, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? (AMPC) \nYou have to KNOW\, because you are a child of God; He is in you. His power is available to you\, not because of anything you’ve done; it’s because of what Jesus did on the cross for you. Fear is a feeling\, your salvation is not. And though the enemy tries to trick you with fear; God is greater.  \nPsalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death\, I fear no evil\, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide]\, they comfort and console me. (AMP) \nThe defense against fear is faith. Faith is what Jesus demonstrated to you and what He died for you to have. You win the victory because of your faith. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, in the name of Jesus\, I repent for allowing fear to stop me from moving forward. I thank You for showing me where the spirit of fear is rooted. Thank You for giving me power\, love and a sound mind. Your perfect love gets rid of any fear I may have if I allow it to. I know I belong to You and there is nothing the enemy can threaten me with that is more powerful than Your love and I thank You.
