SUMMARY:Psalms 13:5
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 13:5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. (KJV) \nWho are you trusting? \nIsn’t it a good thing that going to heaven has nothing to do with how you respond to situations in your life? You have thoughts about what you should do\, and you also have guidance from The One who knows all.  \nProverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord completely\, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you\, and he will lead you in every decision you make. 6 Become intimate with him in whatever you do\, and he will lead you wherever you go. 7 Don’t think for a moment that you know it all\, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. (TPT) \nYour faith\, hope\, and attitude towards God has to grow from whining and complaining to gratitude and thankfulness. You cast your cares on the Lord\, knowing and believing He is working things out for “the” good. How can you speak of the power of God one day and cry about what is going on in your life the next? When your words and your actions don’t match\, you are showing your lack of trust in Him. It also makes it hard for you to witness effectively.  \nPhilippians 2:14 Do everything without murmuring or questioning [the providence of God]\, 15 so that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and guileless\, innocent and uncontaminated\, children of God without blemish in the midst of a [morally] crooked and [spiritually] perverted generation\, among whom you are seen as bright lights [beacons shining out clearly] in the world [of darkness]\, 16 holding out and offering to everyone the word of life\, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to rejoice greatly because I did not run [my race] in vain nor labor without result. (AMP) \nStop trusting in yourself and what you know about your situation; and what you think about your faithfulness\, righteousness\, and merits. Put all of your trust in the Lord\, who has a plan for your life. He is the gave you life and purchased your salvation. You have a countless list of reasons to rejoice and trust.  \nNumbers 23:19 “God is not a man\, that He should lie\, Nor a son of man\, that He should repent. Has He said\, and will He not do? Or has He spoken\, and will He not make it good”? (NKJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for my salvation. I would not have a chance if I had to work in order to be with You in heaven. When I stop to think about my life\, I know I am sustained by Your grace\, Your mercy\, and the fact that You love me enough to look beyond my faults and see my needs. I should stay in a continual state of celebration. I repent for the times instead of celebrating; I was complaining. I know it meant I did not trust You to work everything out. For those times\, I am sorry. I need to spend more time on my knees. I have access to You and entrance into Your kingdom because Jesus died for me\, even when I wasn’t thinking about Him. If I had 10\,000 tongues\, I couldn’t thank You enough. I want to live my life in constant gratitude for what You’ve done for me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Proverbs 16:17
DESCRIPTION:Proverbs 16:17 The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. (KJV) \nWhat path are you on? \nThe Road Not Taken \nTwo roads diverged in a yellow wood\,\nAnd sorry I could not travel both\nAnd be one traveler\, long I stood\nAnd looked down one as far as I could\nTo where it bent in the undergrowth; \n  \nThen took the other\, as just as fair\,\nAnd having perhaps the better claim\,\nBecause it was grassy and wanted wear;\nThough as for that the passing there\nHad worn them really about the same\, \n  \nAnd both that morning equally lay\nIn leaves no step had trodden black.\nOh\, I kept the first for another day!\nYet knowing how way leads on to way\,\nI doubted if I should ever come back.  \n  \nI shall be telling this with a sigh\nSomewhere ages and ages hence:\nTwo roads diverged in a wood\, and I—\nI took the one less traveled by\,\nAnd that has made all the difference.  \nThe blood of Jesus made you right. It is not because of anything you did; He did it for you. Now you have to choose to walk in the righteousness Jesus died for. If you choose the righteous path\, you are also choosing to live a life that displays the holiness God commands.  \nMatthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate\, and broad is the way\, that leadeth to destruction\, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate\, and narrow is the way\, which leadeth unto life\, and few there be that find it. You will set your face like flint to seek the Lord\, not looking to the right or the left. You will think about the steps that you take and walk circumspectly. (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for the opportunity to choose You every day. I realize I don’t have to choose You and I repent for those times that I didn’t. Jesus died for me. He made a way for me to be saved. I could not have saved myself. Help me to always remember that\, and I will choose You every time. The devil is strategic and cunning as he does his job. He tries to make the choice to choose You hard. I understand sometimes the road I choose will be lonely. I am comforted to know I am never without You. I will continue to examine my activities and my thoughts. If they do not line up with Your word\, I will allow You to change me. My goal is to live my life in such a way that You are pleased… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 37:23
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 37:23   The steps of a man are established by the LORD\, when he delights in his way (KJV)\n \nDo you have your new walking shoes on? \nHave you seen a child when they get new shoes? He/she looks down at their feet and takes off. Happy to be walking\, excited about the new shoes. Not really looking where they are going. Not even considering the idea that they may fall. That is how the Lord wants you to walk with Him\, knowing He will be there. \nPsalm 119:133 Establish my footsteps in [the way of] Your word; Do not let any human weakness have power over me [causing me to be separated from You]. (AMP) \nYou know God has picked the right task\, the right path\, and the right time for you. The correct size and fit.  \nRomans 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God\, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew\, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son\, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined\, these He also called; whom He called\, these He also justified; and whom He justified\, these He also glorified. (NKJV) \nYou only need to be happy to be used by Him. You’ve got your marching orders. Make disciples (Matthew 28:1-20). You got your head down and moving. Having faith\, though you might wobble\, and possibly fall\, you will not be stopped.  \nProverbs 24:16a For the lovers of God may suffer adversity and stumble seven times\, but they will continue to rise over and over again. (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, with each day\, I feel like the child with new shoes on. I don’t have to watch where I’m going because I know You order my footsteps. I know I can trust You. How wonderful! The excitement is welling up within me even if I as I think about it. You are such an awesome God! You set my path\, called and anointed me\, and I love it. I repent for thinking I should have a say in the places You want to take me. I am sorry if I act opposed because I may not want to go\, or I think I should go. Please forgive me. You have designed a way for me to give You glory with my life. I accept Your way. I know if I just keep my eyes on You and keep putting one foot in front of the other; I’ll end up in the place You have ordained for me to be. I bless Your Holy Name!… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 73:26
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail\, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (KJV) \nWhose strength are you walking in? \nBecause your life and all you experience each day is training for you\, you may sometimes feel faint and almost unable to go on. What a refreshing thought to know that even if that happens\, God is your strength.  \nPhilippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV) \nNow there is indeed a difference between knowing this and walking in it. The enemy wants to put you in a place where you throw in the towel. Don’t allow him to do it.  \nThere is a scene in the movie “Facing the Giants”\, called the Death Crawl. In the scene\, Brock\, the captain of the football team\, had to carry a teammate on his back. He understood he would start in the 0-yard line and go to the 50-yard line. However\, Coach Taylor wanted Brock to go as far as he could. Taylor put a blindfold on Brock. He did not want Brock to know where he was on the field. Taylor knew looking at the field\, and at the distance\, would have made it harder for Brock to push himself. Brock crawled and crawled. His legs were shaky. His arms were shaky. All along the way\, Brock was being encouraged by the coach. Finally\, Brock got to a place where he said he could go no further. He was going to give up. The coach told him to open his eyes. Brock was in the end zone. He had gone the entire length of the field! The Footnotes page has a link to that scene. Whether or not you watch the link\, put these scriptures in your arsenal. \nPhilippians 4:13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] (AMP) \nPsalm 73:26 I admit how broken I am in body and spirit\, but God is my strength\, and He will be mine forever. (TVT) \n2 Corinthians 12:9 But he answered me\, “My grace is always more than enough for you\, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses\, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. (TPT) \nLook at your life through spiritual eyes and allow the Lord to be your strength.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, God\, You are the strength of my life. I confess there are days when I feel weary. I am reminded of the words You have spoken to me so many times. “If I am weary\, I’m not walking in You; I’m not trusting You and I’m trying to do it without You”. Even though I acknowledge Your instruction and repent\, sometimes I find myself in a weary place again. Thank You for being right there with me. Thank You for encouraging me with every step\, telling me I can make it\, telling me have not gone as far as I can go\, and I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. Help me keep my focus on You and I will see through Your eyes. Continue to give me revelation and I will understand what is happening from a spiritual standpoint and stop looking at things in the natural. When I look with Your eyes and not with mine; when I allow You to be my strength and guide me\, I have many testimonies\, I overcome\, I am victorious\, and I am set for the next task You have ordained for me. Thank You for being my strength and my rock. Thank You for carrying me when I felt I could not go on. Thank You for staying with me when You saw me trying to walk in my strength instead of trusting in You. Thank You for being my Lord and my Father… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:John 6:40
DESCRIPTION:John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me\, that everyone which seeth the Son\, and believeth on him\, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. (KJV) \nAre living like you believe? \nAs a Christian\, your task never changes. Even though you may change jobs\, churches\, or locations in the world; you are to believe in the finished work of Jesus. That is what God requires for your salvation.  \nRomans 10:9-10 because if you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [recognizing His power\, authority\, and majesty as God]\, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead\, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart a person believes [in Christ as Savior] resulting in his justification [that is\, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses [his faith openly]\, resulting in and confirming [his] salvation. (AMP) \nYou must believe when things are not going your way. You must believe when you don’t understand the direction you are being taken in. You must believe when things look the worst. You must believe when the enemy tries to make you walk in fear instead of faith. You must believe when you are uncertain. You must believe when you are emotional. You must believe when things are changing more rapidly than you can keep up with. You must believe when your old habits are trying to resurface. You must believe\, though everything in you is telling you not to believe.  \nRomans 8:35-39 Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation\, or distress\, or persecution\, or famine\, or nakedness\, or danger\, or sword? 36 Just as it is written and forever remains written\,“FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE ARE REGARDED AS SHEEP FOR THE SLAUGHTER.” 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. 38 For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death\, nor life\, nor angels\, nor principalities\, nor things present and threatening\, nor things to come\, nor powers\, 39 nor height\, nor depth\, nor any other created thing\, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God\, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (AMP) \nYou must show you believe by standing\, despite what you see\, and praising the Lord with a humble and trusting heart.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for this reminder. I repent for thinking there is a time when I can relax my stance. My job does not change. It doesn’t matter where I am or who I am interacting with. You have ordained and sanctified the place You called me to. I am not a chameleon\, and I don’t have to fit in everywhere I go. I simply have to live the life ordered and directed by You; showing\, through my actions\, I believe You in everything. I need to humble myself and trust You. I’ve often heard people say\, “I trust You even when I can’t trace You.” I understand the statement. Father\, I want to get to the place in You where I can trace You in every situation in my life. I want to be able to see Your hand moving. I am looking forward to it and I thank You in advance… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Acts 14:22
DESCRIPTION:Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples\, and exhorting them to continue in the faith\, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (KJV) \nAre you willing to endure tribulation? \nIn the movie Bridge of Spies\, there is a combat briefing where the pilots are told their operations manager would give them a “scratch device.” They were to keep it on them at all times. It was to be used\, if they get caught\, in order to take their own lives. Not only would it keep them from giving up any secrets\, it would also keep them from having to suffer at the hands of the enemy. You don’t have a “scratch device”. And though it may sound like a good thing to have; you don’t want one. You must go through tribulation. \nHebrews 5:7-9  When Jesus was on the earth\, a man of flesh and blood\, He offered up prayers and pleas\, groans and tears to the One who could save Him from death. He was heard because He approached God with reverence. 8 Although He was a Son\, Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered. 9 And once He was perfected through that suffering He became the way of eternal salvation for all those who hear and follow Him. (TVT) \nThere are things you will suffer\, and that is just the way it is. The suffering is purposeful\, though.  \nJames 1:2-4 Consider it wholly joyful\, my brethren\, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work\, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects]\, lacking in nothing. (AMPC) \nYour tribulations work patience in you. When patience is through\, it can make you perfect. Don’t run away from your troubles; they will make you the person God intended you to be. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I was not sure\, when I began this journey with You\, what to expect. I believed all I had to do was accept Your invitation for salvation and everything would be alright. I guess I thought I would look at life through rose-colored glasses from that point on. I thought I would not have any struggles. I thought if I had problems\, You would miraculously work each one out as it came. After all\, You are God. As my journey continued\, I found a scripture that says in this life I shall have tribulation. It also encourages me to be of good cheer. That was an eye opener. For the times I murmured and demanded a release\, I repent. Now I understand my tribulations make me strong. Sometimes I am successful and sometimes I am not. In either case\, I know You are always there. I can rejoice because You have chosen me. I don’t need to step off of the path I’m on. I just need to live my life and endure whatever I have to endure\, to glorify You. Thank You for growing me up in You. I can look at my life as wonderful\, no matter what circumstances I have to face… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Romans 11:22
DESCRIPTION:Romans 11:22 Both God’s goodness as well as His decisiveness are based on His integrity; unbelief is not tolerated\, not in them\, neither will it be tolerated in you. His favor is not to be taken for granted; instead\, continue to embrace and appreciate His goodness with gratitude. (TMB) \nHow long are you going to be in time out? \nHave you been in a store\, a restaurant\, or any other place and you heard a mother or father say\, “Johnny\, stop?” Then a few minutes later\, you hear “Johnny stop.” And that goes on for a couple of minutes and then you hear: “If you don’t stop\, you are really going to be in trouble.” Meanwhile\, Johnny is still doing his thing. At this point\, you and anyone who is in the vicinity and has been witnessing the situation and listening to the parent are probably thinking\, “Johnny does not believe he is going to be in trouble. He doesn’t think anything is going to happen to him”. Actually\, you are probably in agreement with Johnny. Finally\, you hear\, “Johnny\, you are in ‘time out’.” That means Johnny does not have the liberty to move from the side of his parent. He has no freedom to do anything.  \nCan you hear God saying stop? Are you like Johnny? Have you been living as though you don’t believe there are godly consequences for your actions? Here are some things to consider. Have you noticed you are not flowing in the Spirit the way you used to? Have you noticed you don’t sense The Lord’s presence as strongly or as often as you used to? God placed you in “time out.”  \n1 Samuel 4:21a And she named the boy Ichabod\, saying\, “The glory has left Israel\,” (AMP) \nFor more signs you are in time out\, read Deuteronomy 28:15-44 and Leviticus 26:14-39. If you do not correct your behavior\, the next step after time out is the danger of being cut off because you are not bearing fruit.  \nMatthew 21:18-19 Now early in the morning\, as Jesus was coming back to the city\, He was hungry. 19 Seeing a lone fig tree at the roadside\, He went to it and found nothing but leaves on it; and He said to it\, “Never again will fruit come from you.” And at once the fig tree withered. (AMP) \nBe grateful you don’t have to stay in time out. You can cry out to the Lord to repent and ask for His mercy.  \nPsalms 51:10-11 Create in me a clean heart\, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. (KJV) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for pointing out to me I cannot do anything and everything I want to do. I repent for thinking it was okay. Thank You for the Holy Spirit\, Who makes me aware of the instructions You have given me and continually identifies what You require of me. I am sorry for deliberately disobeying You\, acting like it was an accident\, and relying on Your grace and mercy. Please forgive me. Thank You for creating consequences for my actions. You remind me of the consequences; I will reap what I have sown. If I continually disobey You\, without remorse\, I will be cutoff. I’m grateful for that reality. Thank You for chastising me. Not only does it demonstrate Your love for me\, it also means I still have a chance to get it right. Thank You for the opportunity to seek You for Your grace to choose You and Your will. I know when I choose You\, I will be excited about the results of my choices… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
