SUMMARY:Hebrews 12:13
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 12:13 Get rid of all obstacles that could possibly cause you to stumble and sprain an ankle! Don’t let a recurrent injury force you out of the race. Recover and carry on running. Don’t allow old legalistic mind-sets to trip you up again. (TMB) \nIs your path obstruction free? \nGod has a plan for your life and a path for you to walk. You have the responsibility to make sure the path you are walking on is what God desires. \nJeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you\,” says the Lord\, “plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster\, to give you a future and a hope”. (AMP) \nAlso\, God has designed your path to be as plain and as easy to follow as possible. That is the way God does it. No hoops to jump through. \nMatthew 11:29-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (MSG) \nAlso\, keep in mind other people are watching you and trying to walk the path you are walking. \nYou cannot allow obstructions to cause you or anyone else to stumble. \nHebrews 12:1 Therefore\, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who by faith have testified to the truth of God’s absolute faithfulness]\, stripping off every unnecessary weight and the sin which so easily and cleverly entangles us\, let us run with endurance and active persistence the race that is set before us\, (AMP) \nWhat are obstructions? They are addictions\, distractions\, afflictions\, distresses\, etc. Ask the Lord to show you the obstructions in your life. When He does\, whatever they are\, get rid of them. They need to go. Don’t make excuses for your wrong behavior or it will just get worse and cause you to stumble on the path and possibly cause you to fall or fail. And the sadder part is\, it could most probably cause someone else to stumble as well. \nRomans 13:14 But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)\, and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). (AMPC) \nYou can walk the path of deliverance Jesus died for and God provided because you are strong\, healed\, and more than a conqueror. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You have shown me the path and instructed me to walk there in. It is my responsibility to obey. I repent for the times I walked without regard to Your instructions. Thank You for always being there for me. When I am weak\, You make me strong. When I struggle\, You give me clarity. I had not thought about someone else watching my life and trying to walk my path before. I am both baffled and concerned. Knowing that someone would want to walk my path makes me even more sensitive to every time I do what I want without regard for Your word. Not only am I putting bumps\, lumps\, cracks\, and crevices on my path. I could cause someone else to fall. I can’t use the fact that the righteous man falls\, and You will help them rise again as an excuse to make provision for my flesh. I must live my life doing everything I can\, according to Your will\, and I won’t fall. Thank You for showing this to me in a clearer way. Thank You for showing me why I should desire Your path for my life. Thank You for making me realize I must choose Your path freely\, not grudgingly\, or being compelled\, or demanded. Help me continue to keep my path clear of obstacles. Please keep it is straight and level…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:James 5:19
DESCRIPTION:James 5:19 My dear friends\, if you know people who have wandered off from God’s truth\, don’t write them off. Go after them. Get them back (MSG) \nWho have you written off?   \nHave you ever lost something and thought you would not find it? Depending on how valuable it was to you\, you probably looked for it. After a while\, when you didn’t find it\, did you give up? Did you decide you were going to replace it or do without it? Well\, you can make those kinds of decisions with stuff\, not with people. What are some reasons you and your friend may have parted ways? \n\nYou have changed the way you see things\, you both have a different spiritual perspective.\nYou cannot agree to disagree because you refuse to give some validity to the other’s perspective.\nYou believe someone has to change their mind. You’re at an impasse.\nLife and choices have changed the intensity of your relationship.\n\nPlease remember\, you don’t fight against flesh and blood. The enemy thought he would separate you and make you weak. He may have used you or your friend. Know this\, you did not waste the time you invested in your friendship. During those days\, weeks\, months and/or years\, you grew and developed. What you learned will be useful for the next relationship and to encourage and strengthen someone else. \nGenesis 50:20 Even though you intended to harm me\, God intended it only for good\, and through me\, He preserved the lives of countless people\, as He is still doing today. (TVT) \nKnow that the Lord was watching and both of you will be fine. Let God dictate the ebb and flow. When He puts them on your mind\, find a way to reach out. With today’s social technology\, if you want to find them\, you will. You are not reaching out to just to rekindle what once was. You are reaching out to let them know you love them\, and they are always in your prayers. \nPhilippians 1:3-4 Whenever you cross my mind\, I thank my God for you and for the gift of knowing you. 4 My spirit is lightened with joy whenever I pray for you (and I do constantly) (TVT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I thank You for my friendships. You have taught me how to love those who are no longer actively a part of my life. You have given me instruction on what to do when You put them on my mind and in my heart from time to time. Until now\, I’ve just said I don’t know where they are or I don’t know how to find them. I have given myself an out. I repent for that. I can reach out. I can use the tools available to me to find them. I can talk to them. I can share Your love. You were there when the separation happened\, and You are here now. Whatever happened is in the past. I know it feels good for someone to say they love and miss me. Even if I can’t find them\, I can pray for them. You have no hands; I give You mine\, no feet; I give You mine. Help me remember this the next time You place someone on my heart. Though I can pray for them\, if I can\, I should do more…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Galatians 4:7
DESCRIPTION:Galatians 4:7 Can you see how foolish it would be for a son to continue to live his life with a slave mentality? Your son-ship qualifies you to immediately participate in all the wealth of God’s inheritance which is yours because of Christ. (TMB) \nAre you having a prodigal son moment? \nHave you made some choices and found yourself in a place where you are not living the quality and standard of life God promised? That must have been what the prodigal son was thinking when he “came to himself.” He was not wondering how he could get his lavish life back. He just wanted to be in a place where he could get food\, shelter\, safety\, and security. These were the things he knew his Father provided for his slaves. He was OK to be a slave. The thing is\, there was no reason for him to live as a slave. He did not realize the relationship he had with his father did not end because he left. It was still intact. He was still his father’s son. It did not matter where he was or how he was currently living. When he returned home\, his father proved that to him (Luke 15:11–32). \nLuke 15:20 So the young son set off for home. From a long distance away\, his father saw him coming\, dressed as a beggar\, and great compassion swelled up in his heart for his son who was returning home. The father raced out to meet him\, swept him up in his arms\, hugged him dearly\, and kissed him over and over with tender love. (TPT) \nAre you living beneath your status because of choices you have made? Are you content to keep living without your blessings because you have agreed with the enemy? You can change your situation. \nIsaiah 55:1-3 Wait and listen\, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money\, come\, buy and eat! Yes\, come\, buy [priceless\, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing]. 2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread\, and your earnings for what does not satisfy? Hearken diligently to Me\, and eat what is good\, and let your soul delight itself in fatness [the profuseness of spiritual joy]. 3 Incline your ear [submit and consent to the divine will] and come to Me; hear\, and your soul will revive; and I will make an everlasting covenant or league with you\, even the sure mercy (kindness\, goodwill\, and compassion) promised to David. (AMPC) \nIt is not a matter of what you deserve; it is a matter of who you are. You are an heir to the throne. It is your birthright. Being an “heir” is NOT a better job\, a wife\, a husband\, a better car etc. IT IS your relationship with the Father. \nRomans 8:17 If we are God’s children\, that means we are His heirs along with the Anointed\, set to inherit everything that is His. If we share His sufferings\, we know that we will ultimately share in His glory. (TVT) \nStop living beneath your promises and return to the Lord. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, when I am feeling as if I am not living the life You promised\, I know I am the one who left. I repent for those days. I am sorry; I learned my lesson. When I am thirsty\, I come to You. You are my everlasting water. When I have no money\, I can come to You\, buy and eat without cost. I can stop spinning my wheels and doing things that cannot and will not satisfy me. I will listen to You and eat of Your word. I will delight in You. You have given me access to Your presence. I will wait for You to speak to me. You can return to me the joy of Thy salvation. You have made an everlasting covenant with me. Help me be faithful to it…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Ephesians 3:12
DESCRIPTION:Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. (KJV) \nAre you being bold? \nHave you ever seen the original version of the Wizard of OZ? There is an iconic scene where the group has finally made it to the Wizard’s castle. It is time to see the great and powerful OZ. They are walking down this extremely long corridor\, shaking\, rattling\, trembling. They are almost scared to death. They have been told that OZ is the only one who can help them. Though they wanted his help\, they were almost too afraid to ask for it. \nYou are not a part of a movie. You are not looking for someone or something to solve all your problems with the wave of a hand. As a believer\, you know that in your time of need\, the Lord God Almighty is the only One who can help. You have to develop your relationship with the Father. Then you will not be afraid to come to Him. It does not matter what the need is. \nPhilippians 4:19 And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Amplified Bible\, AMP) \nAren’t you excited about Philippians 4:19? My prayer is that you are cultivating a deeper and stronger relationship with the Lord because of the training you are getting through this devotional. I pray you are without fear when you approach the Father\, and you are certain you can go before Him with whatever request you have. \nHebrews 4:16 Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is\, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear\, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing\, coming just at the right moment]. (Amplified Bible\, AMP) \nJesus made it possible for you to come to the Lord in confidence. Not only will the Lord hear you\, He will provide what you need. He will also make sure you can fulfill His call on and purpose for your life. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You know I love movies and I thank You for using the Wizard of OZ to teach me. Thank You also for pointing out to me how You want me to be like those characters\, as I come to You\, and how You want me to be different. I repent for the times I came to You shaking\, trembling\, and afraid. I know better now. I thank You because I can come boldly before Your throne of grace. You have shown me You want me to bring every desire\, thought\, or idea to You. No matter what it is\, even though what I am asking You to do may not solve my problem\, nor be what is best for me. Like them\, I have asked You to give me what I already have; I just don’t realize it. Help me understand\, what You have given me is not over there somewhere\, and it’s not out there beyond my reach. Continue to remind me of Your word. You’ve given me everything I need. I have to walk it out. Titles\, accolades\, validations by men\, and positions cannot and will not do it for me. Help me see myself as You do\, embrace what You have placed in me\, and live my life as Your lead and direct me. Help me continue to seek You and submit to You as You cultivate the gifts and talents You have given me. Help me obey Your guidance and instruction and allow You to use it as You will. Not only does it take boldness to come before You\, it also takes boldness to hear You and obey. Please continue to cultivate boldness in me…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:2 Timothy 1:7
DESCRIPTION:2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power\, and of love\, and of a sound mind. (KJV) \nDo you realize what you have? \nHow many times have you read or quoted 2 Timothy 1:7? How do you apply it to your life? What does it mean to you? Do you understand what fear\, power\, love\, and a sound mind mean to your walk with the Lord? In order to walk in the God-kind of power\, love and mental stability\, you must stay in the presence of God by continuing in prayer\, praise\, worship and study. If you do\, God will strengthen you and you will not walk in fear. \n1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always and delight in your faith; 17 be unceasing and persistent in prayer; 18 in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. (AMP) \n2 Timothy 1:7 is a verse to stand on. Look at what it provides as it sits as a basis for your training and at the foundation of your arsenal. First and foremost\, you don’t have fear. \nRomans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment]\, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry\, “Abba! Father!” (AMP) \nThere are three other things that you have that make you unstoppable. You have the power to win when you encounter foes and dangers\, to stand up to your trials\, and to live victoriously. \nLuke 10:19 Behold\, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions\, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. (KJV) \nYou have the love of and for God. This love covers a multitude of faults\, yours and other peoples. \n1 Corinthians 13:7-8a Love bears all things [regardless of what comes]\, believes all things [looking for the best in each one]\, hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times]\, endures all things [without weakening]. 8 Love never fails [it never fades nor ends]. (AMP) \nYou have a mind that is well balanced and under the influence of God. \n1 Peter 4:1-2 Since Jesus went through everything you’re going through and more\, learn to think like him. Think of your sufferings as a weaning from that old sinful habit of always expecting to get your own way. Then you’ll be able to live out your days free to pursue what God wants instead of being tyrannized by what you want. (MSG) \nNow that you know what you have\, live like it. You can be victorious in anything and everything you will do in your life. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I admit I was often too conscious of fear. I repent for all the time I spent working on not being afraid\, understanding I don’t walk in fear\, and speaking fearlessness over my life. My focus was on fear\, sent by the enemy\, and how I would not let it stop me. I spent so much of my time fighting fear. I didn’t spend enough time meditating on Your word and prophesying it over my life. That has changed. I have victory. I have the power to run through a troop and leap over a wall. I can triumph in You. Your love dispels any dismal foreboding I may have; covers my faults and allows me to forgive. You have renewed my mind. I am more than a conqueror; I am an overcomer. Thank You\, Father\, I will no longer waste my time thinking about fear. I will spend my time using the weapons You’ve given me\, growing\, being stronger and speaking of the strength I walk in because of You…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Hebrews 4:16
DESCRIPTION:Hebrews 4:16 For this reason we can approach the authoritative throne of grace with bold utterance. We are welcome there in his embrace\, and are reinforced with immediate effect in times of trouble. (MSG) \nAre you boldly taking ownership of your sin? \nIsn’t it great you don’t serve an “I-told-you-so” God? One that is waiting to show you how right He is and how wrong you are? \nRomans 8:1 So now the case is closed. There remains no accusing voice of condemnation against those who are joined in life-union with Jesus\, the Anointed One. (TPT) \nYou read the word. You study. You know what the word says you should do. Sometimes you just don’t do it. The amazing thing is you have a really good reason (according to you) for disobeying. In those times\, you have to go to God and ask Him to forgive you and clean up your mess. \nPsalm 34:17 When the righteous cry [for help]\, the Lord hears And rescues them from all their distress and troubles. (AMP) \nHow will He clean up for you? It may be\, He needs to withhold punishment you should get. He may need to bless you despite what you have done and give you what you don’t deserve. Whatever it is\, He is always there. He gives you what you need at that moment. He will not turn away from you when you cry to Him. Here is the focus scripture in a different translation. (AMP) \nJesus took on your sins. The Father does not see them. He only sees His love for you and His desire to bless you. What is your part in this scenario? Own what you did. Confess and be truly sorry. \nPsalm 34:18 The Lord is near to the heartbroken And He saves those who are crushed in spirit (contrite in heart\, truly sorry for their sin). (AMP) \nTake these truths and go boldly and tell your Lord and your God what you’ve done. It’s not like He does not already know. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, You see and know everything I do\, the pleasing things and the grievous things. Yet\, You allow me to come to You and I thank You. I repent for all the messes I created in my efforts to work things out my way. I also repent for the times when I simply disobeyed You because I gave place to my flesh. In either case\, You love me still. You permit me to come to You and tell You what happened. Even though You already know. You don’t make me feel ashamed or dirty. You bless me. You show mercy and give me what I need right then and for moments to come. I understand I will reap what I’ve sown. Thank You for giving me the grace to endure and learn from the mess\, as I get from where I am to the next place You’re taking me. I am grateful\, and I bless Your name…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:1 Peter 1:4
DESCRIPTION:1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible\, and undefiled\, and that fadeth not away\, reserved in heaven for you\, (KJV) \nDo you understand the value of your inheritance? \nSometimes the people you trust don’t keep their promises. Estate values diminish. The amount of money you thought would be there had to be used for something else. The stock market determined your net worth to be less than you thought. Kings and kingdoms have passed away and will continue to do so. However\, these principles do not apply to the Kingdom of God. \nDaniel 4:3 How great are His signs\, And how mighty His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom\, And His dominion is from generation to generation. (NKJV) \nYou are heir to the throne of God. God’s kingdom will stand throughout eternity. Heaven is what God has promised. Your inheritance will remain pure\, untarnished\, and reserved for you. Your only responsibility is to keep the faith and believe. \nColossians 1:22-23 yet Christ has now reconciled you [to God] in His physical body through death\, in order to present you before the Father holy and blameless and beyond reproach—23 [and He will do this] if you continue in the faith\, well-grounded and steadfast\, and not shifting away from the [confident] hope [that is a result] of the gospel that you have heard\, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven\, and of which [gospel] I\, Paul\, was made a minister. (AMP) \nYou demonstrate what you believe through your walk\, your worship\, and reverential awe of God. The hope of God’s promise being revealed is a powerful weapon against the enemy. Understand who you are and use that understanding to fight victoriously. Always remember\, there is no other Father you want to have. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, from a natural standpoint\, I do not know what it means to be an heir to a kingdom. I thank You for teaching me what it means to be Your heir. I repent for the times when I devalued my inheritance out of ignorance. I am sorry. Now I know how to accept what You’ve done for me and embrace my inheritance. I kneel before You knowing there is no other family I would rather be a part of. There is nothing in any lineage that is more powerful or that I would want to lay claim to. I only want the blessings and birthright set aside for Your children. I know Your kingdom will not pass away. I know You will uphold every word You’ve spoken to me and every promise You’ve given me. I know there is nothing I have done to deserve this honor. I simply say thank You. I know I must mirror in the life I live\, the gratitude I speak of. I repent for those days that I don’t. Thank You for reminding me. Thank You for keeping me and helping me to live my life in a manner that is pleasing to You. I want to dwell in Your presence forever…\n \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
