SUMMARY:Jeremiah 26:2
DESCRIPTION:Jeremiah 26:2 Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD’S house\, and speak unto all the cities of Judah\, which come to worship in the LORD’S house\, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word. (KJV) \nAre you ready for God to use you? \nWhen the Lord gives you something to say to His people; it is natural to process it through how you see yourself (personality\, style etc.)\, your strengths\, your weaknesses and your own idiosyncrasies. How you respond is your worship. Though you are natural\, you serve God in the spirit.  \nJohn 4:24 “God is Spirit\, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (NKJV) \nThe important thing is\, once you have spent your time with the Lord\, He has prepared your heart to say what He told you to say. The reason the Lord told Jeremiah not to diminish any part of what He said is because He knew Jeremiah. And he knows you. You can’t water it down because you think you might hurt someone’s feelings. You can’t leave off parts because you think they won’t believe you.  \nDeuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you\, nor take away from it\, so that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I am commanding you. (AMP) \nYou can’t walk in fear. Only God can determine if you have the authority or the wisdom to speak. He has. How do you know? He commanded you to speak. \nJeremiah 1:7-8 But the Lord said to me\, Say not\, I am only a youth; for you shall go to all to whom I shall send you\, and whatever I command you\, you shall speak. 8 Be not afraid of them [their faces]\, for I am with you to deliver you\, says the Lord. (AMPC) \nYou have to always remember it’s not you. You are speaking what you believe God Almighty instructed you to speak.  \nDeuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God\, your God\, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.” (MSG) \nYou must have faith and believe you heard God and stand.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I have often stood to speak to Your people full of anxiety. Not because I didn’t think You directed me to speak; I was focusing on the outcome. I was my major concern. I repent and I so sorry for allowing my emotions and insecurities to rule me. My major concerns should have been\, will the people hear You speaking in the word I give;  will they understand what You are requiring them to do; and will the word bless and honor You? Thank You for correcting me and adjusting my focus. I will keep in mind\, the answers to those questions are not my responsibility. Your word will not return unto You void. It will accomplish what You sent it out to do. My responsibility is to make sure before I open my mouth; I’ve done my homework\, spent the time You require me to spend with You\, heard You clearly; and submitted myself to You. Them I am ready. When I open my mouth; You speak through me; my confidence is in You; and my trust is in You. You can use me whenever\, wherever\, and however You see fit. Every day\, the time I will spend with You makes my relationship with You and my faith in You stronger than the day before. When I hear You call\, my answer will be\, “Yes\, I am ready. Here am I Lord\, send me”… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 97:7
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 97:7 All who serve carved images\, those who boast in idols\, will be put to shame. All the gods must worship Him. (HCSB) \nDo you have idols in your life? \nAt first thought\, the answer to that question will undoubtedly be no because you are thinking about the idols referred to in the Old Testament. \nExodus 20:4 You are not to make any idol or image of other gods. In fact\, you are not to make an image of anything in the heavens above\, on the earth below\, or in the waters beneath. (TVT) \nBefore you stick out your chest\, give consideration to this idea. You might say easily say you don’t worship Krishna\, some statue\, Buddha\, etc. However\, do you worship stuff? You do not carve all idols out of material. An idol can also be a person or thing that you treasure\, place above others\, and ultimately that you worship.  \nLuke 12:34 “Where you deposit your treasure\, that is where you fix your thoughts—and your heart will long to be there also.” (TPT) \nDo you constantly talk about what you have? Can you look at an item and tell who the designer is\, how much it cost\, how exclusive it is\, etc. Do you feel better or more important because you carry/wear the latest design? Do you have cars no one can ride it? Do you have houses no one can visit? Is your family untouchable? If so\, consider the probability these things have become your gods. If the things you seek\, those that are most important to you\, are only valuable on earth; it’s time to change.  \nColossians 3:1-2 Therefore if you have been raised with Christ [to a new life\, sharing in His resurrection from the dead]\, keep seeking the things that are above\, where Christ is\, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things]\, not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. (AMP) \nWhen you talk about possessions more than you talk about God; that is an indication of a problem. You have to ask yourself\, do you have stuff or does stuff have you?  \nThe last set of tough questions are\, do your thoughts always come back to you; how you were treated\, how something affected you\, what someone did or did not say to you\, for you or about you? Did it ever occur to you that you are worshipping you? If you haven’t stopped to think about these things; take a moment and do it now. \n2 Timothy 3:1-2 But you need to be aware that in the final days the culture of society will become extremely fierce and difficult for the people of God. 2 People will be self-centered lovers of themselves and obsessed with money. They will boast of great things as they strut around in their arrogant pride and mock all that is right. They will ignore their own families. They will be ungrateful and ungodly. (TPT) \nWorship is extravagant respect for\, admiration for\, or devotion to an object/person you esteem. Ask the Lord to help you decide who or what you are worshipping. \n1 John 2:16-17 For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh\, the allurement of the things of the world\, and the obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world. 17 This world and its desires are in the process of passing away\, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (TPT) \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nHeavenly Father\, creator of the universe\, thank You for showing me what an idol is. Anything I pay homage to\, anything I value more than You\, is an idol in my life. It would have been great if there was a sign saying\, “down this path is an idol” or maybe there could be a buzzer\, siren\, or warning.  Unfortunately\, that is not the case. It pains me to think I ever worshipped anything or anyone more than You. However\, I know I did\, deliberately or unknowingly\, and I repent. Thank You for delivering me from idol worship. Hallelujah\, I can truly say\, there is nothing in my life more important than You. There’s no person I want to talk to more than I want to talk to You. There’s no person I want to talk about more than I want to talk about You. Thank You for helping me take a long look at myself. Not even my issues nor my problems are worth a conversation because they are not more important than You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Psalms 132:7
DESCRIPTION:Psalms 132:7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool. (KJV) \nIs your all on the altar? \nDavid wanted nothing more than to find a place for the Lord and for the ark. He wanted to create a tangible symbol of God’s presence. This should be your desire as well. The wonderful thing is\, because of Jesus\, you don’t have to find a place and you don’t have to build a place.  \nActs 7:48 However\, the Most High [the One infinitely exalted above humanity] does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet [Isaiah] says. (AMP) \nYou can worship wherever and whenever you choose to worship. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit.  \n1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God\, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]? (AMP) \nThere is a war raging between your flesh and your spirit (Romans 7:15). Whatever is in your heart controls the flesh.  \nMatthew 6:21 For where your treasure is\, there your heart [your wishes\, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also. (AMP) \nYou win the war by sacrificing what is in your heart. When you surrender your will and wishes to the control of the Holy Spirit\, you are\, in effect\, laying them on the altar before God.  \nPsalm 5:2-3 I need your help. Every morning you’ll hear me at it again. Every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on your altar and watch for fire to descend. (MSG) \nThe purest form of worship is to submit yourself to the Lord continually. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather God\, in Your presence\, I want to personalize the lyrics to a song I sing\, challenging myself. Is my all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Do I allow Your Spirit to control my heart? Do I understand the only way You can give me rest and perfectly bless me is if I give You my body and soul? There are many times when I’ve gone to the altar when I heard that song. Even when I sing it\, it makes me focus on what You require. I repent for every time I went to the altar with selfish motives. I repent for singing it and not living it when I wanted something to go my way. It is so hypocritical to say I believe You will handle all things and then act like You won’t. Also\, You have taught me when I bring something to You\, I should leave it with You and worship. There is such a peace when I place my life in Your hands. I know it may seem like I am doing nothing. However\, it is not doing nothing. It is doing the best and only something that I can do. Give it to You and trust You to handle it. I desire to live my life knowing it is in Your hands. Then I can stop worrying and trying to fix things myself. I will continue to lay my all on the altar… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Proverbs 16:18
DESCRIPTION:Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction\, and an haughty spirit before a fall. (KJV) \nWhere has your search taken you? \nIn your search\, to walk in the fullness of all God has provided (Ephesians 1:17-20)\, to utilize all the gifts available (2 Timothy 1:6)\, and to do the greater works that Jesus proclaimed you could do (John 14:12)\, there are some dangerous traps and hidden detours.  \nMatthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads the way to [everlasting] life\, and there are few who find it. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nAs you begin your search your intentions are pure and your desire is Him and Him alone. \nPsalm 63:1 O God\, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water.( New Living Translation NLT) \nAs you mature in the Lord\, you might come to the place where you think you can make positive confessions over your life\, command the hand of God\, fast and change the situation\, and be the master of your life. Are you the one who can call things that be not as though they were?  \nRomans 4:17  (As it is written\, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God\, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did. (New King James Version NKJV) \nHebrews 11:3 By faith [that is\, with an inherent trust and enduring confidence in the power\, wisdom and goodness of God] we understand that the worlds (universe\, ages) were framed and created [formed\, put in order\, and equipped for their intended purpose] by the word of God\, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nYou may have faith to move mountains (Mark 11:23) as a part of your inheritance\, however only God calls things that are not into being. He does so as it fits into His plan and not yours. \nEphesians 1:11 In Him we also were made [God’s] heritage (portion) and we obtained an inheritance; for we had been foreordained (chosen and appointed beforehand) in accordance with His purpose\, Who works out everything in agreement with the counsel and design of His [own] will. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC)  \nHere is where you meet the fork in the road. Are you going to be judgmental and determine what is best for you? Are you easily offended? When confronted about your choices and your behavior\, do you look for justifications\, shift blame or condemn the one asking? Do make excuses or come up with stories that prove you are doing the right thing? Do you reason\, rationalize and decide you are in control of your fate? Do you look for Scriptures you can use to broaden the interpretation of for your benefit? Do you convince yourself you walk in the authority and power of God\, and no one has the right to question you? If your answer is yes\, to any of those questions\, you have taken the wrong road.  \nJohn 5:31 If I stand as the lone witness to My true identity\, then I can be dismissed as a liar. (The Voice  TVT) \nYou have taken the path where you are the object of your worship and not God (refer to the November 17th devotional). Stop! Turn around\, and go back to the place where the detour happened. The Father did not move\, you did. Continue to seek the Lord. You do not have the power to discover Divine truth\, moral obligation\, nor do you have the wisdom to govern yourself\, without God. You will only end up dishonoring God. Bow down and submit yourself to the Lord. \nPsalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart\, O God\, And renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. (Amplified Bible AMP) \nGod is able to help you walk so that you receive all the blessings He has promised those who believe in Him and help you accomplish everything He has commanded you to do (Philippians 2:13). He can do that and keep you from moving Him out of the center. \nJude 24 Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling\, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable\, ecstatic delight]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nBegan and end your search in worship.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, I know I have been down some paths in my search for You and trying to be used by You. So many of them were of my own making because I was so sure I understood what You wanted from me. I was wrong and I repent again\, even though my repentance at the time brought me back to You. A great many of the paths I took pulled me away from You instead of toward You. I know it was because I knew just enough to be dangerous. I knew Your word. There was an evident anointing on my life. However\, my experience with You\, my application and my presentation of the word needed a lot of work. I was worshipping the creation instead of the Creator; I repent again just thinking about it. Thank You for being right there. I am thankful You fixed the damage I caused. You caught me when I fell. You picked me up\, brushed me off and told me to try it again. I needed to spend more time with You. I needed to study more. I needed to worship more and to listen to You more. I still don’t always get it right. I am grateful because the number of times I get it wrong is continuously decreasing. I thank You for Your love\, Your protection and Your covering. Not just enough to be dangerous anymore. Now I know enough to allow You to be effective through me… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Revelation 15:4
DESCRIPTION:Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear thee\, O Lord\, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest. (KJV) \nWhy do you worship? \nThere are a lot of religions available. Of those religions\, there is a different ending for followers when they die. You could be reincarnated continually\, and never have rest; you could not be in the number who goes to heaven no matter what you do; etc. If you research this topic\, you will find the outcomes for the different religions existing. Whatever all other religions believe\, you must understand the power in and of the God you worship. \n“Perhaps the greatest difference of all [among religious views] lies in the Christian assertion that none of us can save ourselves and make ourselves acceptable to God\, try as we may: all the other faiths assert that by keeping their teachings\, a person will be saved\, fulfilled or reborn. All religions are not the same—Biblical Christianity is absolutely unique among all the religions and philosophies of mankind. Its claim to be necessary for salvation is based squarely on the uniquely powerful evidences for its truth and finality. Actually\, true Christianity is not a religion\, but a person\, Jesus Christ.”  \n(Dr. Michael Green\, British theologian\, Anglican priest\, Christian apologist) \nYou worship God because: \n\nHe saved you.\n\nHabakkuk 3:18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord\, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nYou know Who He is.\n\nRevelation 4:11 “You are worthy\, [a]O Lord\, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things\, \nAnd by Your will they [b]exist and were created.” (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nHe commands you to.\n\nLuke 4:8b And Jesus answered and said unto him\, Get thee behind me\, Satan: for it is written\, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God\, and him only shalt thou serve. (KJV) \n\nYou want to bless and honor Him.\n\nRevelation 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea\, and all that are in them\, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne\, And to the Lamb\, forever and ever!” (New King James Version NKJV) \n\nYou love Him.\n\nPsalm 116:1 I love the Lord\, because He hears [and continues to hear] My voice and my supplications (my pleas\, my cries\, my specific needs). (Amplified Bible AMP) \n\nYou want to draw near to Him.\n\nPsalm 27:7-8 Hear me\, Lord\, when I call to you! Be merciful and answer me! 8 When you said\, “Come worship me\,” I answered\, “I will come\, Lord.” (Good News Translation GNT) \n\nOf the things He has done.\n\nPsalm 126:3 We shook our heads. All of us were stunned—the Eternal has done remarkable things for us. We were beyond happy\, beyond joyful. ( The Voice TVT) \n\nYou are going to be with Him in heaven. \n\nHebrews 12:28 Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender\, filled with awe. (The Passion Translation TPT) \nIn that day\, every knee shall bow\, and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord.  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, thank You for saving me. It made it possible for me to worship You. I can say; I am a Christian. Christianity gives me hope. It allows me to believe in heaven\, and that is why I worship. It assures me of the eternal peace I will have in heaven\, and that is why I worship. No more toiling\, and that is why I worship. Christianity says You are Lord of lords\, the Almighty God\, and that is why I worship. I marvel at the truth of Your word. I believe You when You say\, every knee will bow\, and every tongue will confess You are Lord\, and that is why I worship. No other religion makes that claim\, and that is why I worship. I don’t choose to live my life where the end is not an end at all. I like what Dr. Green said. True Christianity is not a religion and not a practice of regulated behaviors. It is my faith in Jesus and in His return. Keep me and I won’t waiver and I will be with You in the end. Whether I am raised or caught up. I worship You now and forever… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Thessalonians 2:4
DESCRIPTION:2 Thessalonians 2:4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped\, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple\, proclaiming himself to be God. (NIV) \nIs your heart filled with your love for God? \nAs we continue to live\, the devil will get more and more anxious\, desperate even. He knows he’s going to lose. He will do anything and everything within his power to deceive as many as he can.  \nRevelation 12:12b But woe to you\, O earth and sea\, for the devil has come down to you in fierce anger (fury)\, because he knows that he has [only] a short time [left]! (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nYour love for God is what will keep you from being deceived. The devil is cunning. He will try to convince you God does not love you\, and therefore\, loving God has no purpose. How?  \n\nBy continually reminding you of your mistakes.\n\nIf he can occupy you with thoughts of your sins\, past present and the future sins you might commit because of the temptations face\, you live defeated. \nPsalm 51:3-4 For I am fully aware of all I have done wrong\, and my guilt is there\, staring me in the face. 4 It was against You\, only You\, that I sinned\, for I have done what You say is wrong\, right before Your eyes. So when You speak\, You are in the right. When You judge\, Your judgments are pure and true. (The Voice TVT) \n\nBy making you think you have no power over him.\n\nIf you don’t understand the power of salvation\, the enemy convinces you that you don’t have victory over sin. Then you will believe the Father is asking you to do something that you cannot do. \nTitus 2:14 Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own\, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \n\nBy telling you your hardships are an indication that God doesn’t love you. \n\nYou cannot live with the misconception that God is supposed to give you everything you want so you can be “happy”. That somehow\, you should have not sorrow\, pain or have a reason to cry. If you do\, your heart will be filled with disappointment instead of love.  \n1 Peter 4:12-13b Friends\, when life gets really difficult\, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead\, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process. (The Message MSG) \n\nBy convincing you that your fortune is something other than the blessing of God.\n\nThe devil wants you to believe your prayers\, desires\, hopes\, and endeavors are accomplished because of you. When you believe you succeed because of your passion and not God’s grace\, your heart becomes filled with you.  \nJeremiah 9:23 Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise and skillful person glory and boast in his wisdom and skill; let not the mighty and powerful person glory and boast in his strength and power; let not the person who is rich [in physical gratification and earthly wealth] glory and boast in his [temporal satisfactions and earthly] riches. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nThe enemy is always whispering in your ear. If you listen to what he says\, your will slowly replace your love for God. There are so many ways the enemy uses; there are only a few ways listed here. Always keep in mind\, the devil does not want to reign outside of the Church\, he wants authority in the very bosom of the Church. You are the church; not the building you go to. He wants your heart. If he can’t have it\, at least he does not want God to have it either.  \nMatthew 22:37 Jesus answered him\, “‘Love the Lord your God with every passion of your heart\, with all the energy of your being\, and with every thought that is within you.’(The Passion Translation TPT) \nThe altar of Your heart must be filled with God. There can be no room for anything else. \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, Thank You for exposing the devil’s plan to undermine my worship and turn my heart and mind against You. You have also revealed his ultimate goal is to take Your place on the altar of my heart. I repent for the times I listened to his whispers and questioned Your love for me. By doing so I but my love for You in jeopardy. Thank You for Your warning. Thank You for keeping me in Your word\, on my knees and on my face. Your word says the devil knows his time is short. I see his attacks getting more and more strategic as I draw closer to You. He is determined to  win in this warfare. However\, I am just as determined. Thank You for warning me and covering me\, every day. Thank You for preparing me to withstand the attacks of the enemy. Thank You for equipping me with the weapons I need to guard my heart. Thank You for filling me up to the point of overflowing. Sometimes I allow circumstances and situations to cause me to leak and I repent. As long as I am breathing\, I will keep coming back for You to fill the leaks. I want the cup of my heart filled with You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:

SUMMARY:Genesis 22:5
DESCRIPTION:Genesis 22:5 And Abraham said to his young men\, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship\, and we will come back to you.” (NKJV) \nDo you trust God with your life? \nThis passage is often used to describe Jehovah Jireh. What a story! When Abraham received his command from God; the Bible does not say he stopped and asked God why.  \nGenesis 22:2-3 Then He said\, “Take now your son\, your only son Isaac\, whom you love\, and go to the land of Moriah\, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.” 3 So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey\,… and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. (New King James Version NKJV) \nIt does not record where He prayed for the life of his son like he did for Sodom and Gomorrah. Interestingly enough\, he told his servants: he and his son were going to worship\, and they were coming back. Before Abraham got to the Jehovah Jireh place in his life; he had to have already been in a place of faith and trust.  \nHebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out\, not knowing where he was going. (New King James Version NKJV) \nNow\, maybe Abraham thought God would not require Isaac’s life. He may have even told himself\, if God accepted his sacrifice\, He would then resurrect Isaac. Though he may not have known how God was going to do it\, he was coming back with his son. Abraham was going to the top of the mountain to prostrate himself before God and honor Him for being the one true God. Abraham was going to worship\, knowing Isaac was to die.  \nGenesis 22:5b “The lad and I will go yonder and worship.” (New King James Version NKJV) \nIsaac asked his father where the lamb was for the burnt offering (Genesis 22:7). Abraham at that time was over 100 years old and Isaac was a teenager. Isaac had much greater strength and agility and would have given Abraham problems if he did not voluntarily obey and allow himself to be the sacrifice. Yet the passage indicates that Isaac did comply and permitted himself to be placed on the altar\, bound and positioned to be sacrificed (Genesis 22:9). Isaac submitted in total obedience to his father’s request of him. In that moment\, he trusted his God\, not just his father’s God. Abraham was not the only one being tested\, Isaac was as well. Isaac had to have a full understanding\, reverential awe for\, and total trust in the God he served.  \nPsalms 9:10 And they who know Your name [who have experience and acquaintance with Your mercy] will lean on and confidently put their trust in You\, for You\, Lord\, have not forsaken those who seek (inquire of and for) You [on the authority of God’s Word and the right of their necessity]. (Amplified Bible\, Classic Edition AMPC) \nWhat about you? Are you willing to give up something that you’ve prayed for\, labored for\, and fasted for if God asks you (Mark 10:21)? Will you only say yes if you have the promise that you will get it back or something better like Job did (Job 42:12)? Will you give up your life (Mark 8:35)? Do you have the faith in God and the trust that if He’s asking you for it\, there is a higher purpose (Romans 8:28)? Is trust really trust if it’s not tested (James 1:2-3)?  \nPlease agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response: \nFather\, God\, I have told You so many times that I trust You with my life. Because of this devotional\, I had to stop\, reflect on what that statement really means\, and repent for being so casual about it. There are so many situations/circumstances that have happened where my trust was challenged. Sometimes I met the challenge and sometimes I did not. There will be more in my future. I repent for not taking that statement more seriously. I have never had to face the greatest challenge\, to decide if I would give up my life. Do I trust You with my life so much that I am willing to die believing in Your word? I wish I could say yes\, without thought and without pause. Father\, I have to say\, right now\, the only way I’ll know for sure\, is to be in that situation. Please do what You need to do in me to strengthen my faith and trust because I know I need it. How does a person choose to be a martyr? Do they know they are a martyr before it is time for them to die? I don’t know. I believe I walk close to You\, however\, I have to be honest with You. Which by the way there’s no reason not to because You know what’s in my heart. I think I would be shaking all over\, crying and pleading for my life. I pray I am not ever put in that position. However\, should it be Your will and I am faced with martyrdom\, draw me closer to You now; so\, at the assigned moment\, I will choose You… \nAsk the lord what he wants to say to you about today’s devotional and journal it here:
