Philippians 2:13

August 12

Philippians 2:13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. (NLT)

Are you inspired?

A motivational speaker is someone who delivers lectures intending to encourage or inspire the people in the audience. Typically, he or she has a reputation as an expert on the subject being discussed and will encourage the audience to look at things from a different perspective. The goal is to get them to become more attentive to their own talents and abilities. The motivational speaker may give the desire to do, he or she can’t give the power to do. The word of God is the best motivational speaker there is, has ever been, or ever will be.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (KJV)

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (KJV)

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV)

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (KJV)

Lamentations 3:22-23 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (NKJV)

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV)

Psalm 18:29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall. (KJV)

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (NKJV)

There is nothing about you, nor anything else God does not know. Not only does He know what You can do, He assigned the task to you, gave you the ability to do it and promised to do it through you. He knows what would try to hinder you and has already given you the power to overcome it.

Romans 8:29-30 God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. (MSG)

If you were not before, are you inspired now?

Please agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response:

Father, God, I am inspired by Your word. You promised to complete the work You started in me. I trust You. You created me, shaped me, and gave me the gifts and talents I have. You had a specific purpose in mind when You formed me, called me, anointed me, and chose me. I am motivated to submit to You. Please complete Your task through me. Because of all who You are and all You do for me, I yield myself. Please fulfill the destiny You have for my life. Every moment I spend in Your presence persuades me more. Every Bible verse I read provokes me. Every Bible study I complete spurs me on. I am encouraged and inspired to seek You, to submit to You, to obey You and to be perfected by You…
