TIPS FOR WEEK THREE

1. In light of all that the Lord is doing, He is at all times seeking to bring clarity. He is causing us to strip away all that is us and become vulnerable so that healing can take place.

2. In recognizing our on going struggle, we are ordained to suffer. What comes from the suffering is change in us. Suffering causes us to recognize what is left of the flesh that is still alive.

TIPS FOR WEEK TWO

1. THE FLOW OF GOD – Allow yourself to be immersed completely. Go all the way. Do not restrict yourself, be absolutely surrendered.Take your footing from under you, then you can go w/God. Rest and be free from condemnation, from others and from yourself.

2. Everything that is happening is not separated from the whole package, All that you have been through is OJT (On the job training) The Holy Spirit is the trainer. You are being trained to reign in eternity, in the millennial age and in life right now.

3. Understand what is controlling you (i.e. my actions, thoughts reactions etc.) right now. Those that are fleshy ( emotions, feeling etc.) step from under that control and be controlled by the Spirit.

4. We will be led in strange ways because we are not focusing on the “good life” but the “God life”.

WEEK TWO

After settling into the realization that this was not just a jumpstart into prophetic ministry; I was ready to begin.
Because I said yes, anything and everything about me was open for God to reveal. That can be an intimidating place and also a place for the enemy to try and hinder me.

1.  Several times this week I encountered situations where the Lord was showing me that I need to be free from condemnation.  The thing I need to understand is whenever there was a measure of accusation, that was the enemy. He is the accuser of the brethren. I have to be free from condemnation. Condemnation not just from others but from myself as well.

Phil 3:2-4 2 Steer clear of the barking dogs, those religious busybodies, all bark and no bite. All they’re interested in is appearances — knife-happy circumcisers, I call them. 3 The real believers are the ones the Spirit of God leads to work away at this ministry, filling the air with Christ’s praise as we do it. We couldn’t carry this off by our own efforts, and we know it — (THE MESSAGE)

2.  Because this was such a radical change for me, I was concerned about what other people thought. But the reality is, I cannot be moved by my emotions are the emotions of others. If I am easily moved by my emotions then I speak from the soul and not by the Spirit.  When I am being led by the Spirit there is no need to ask questions of others and therefore no opportunity for human input or influence.

Rom 8:18 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (KJV)

3.  One of the other feelings that I had was fear. I cannot walk in fear and be led by the Spirit.  Not just in the area of the prophetic, but in every area of my life.  I have to do the thing that God has given me to do. Only I can hear what God is saying to me for a specific occasion. When He speaks something to me, He has carefully chosen because He has equipped me to do the work. I cannot give it to someone else to do. They will do what they think needs to be done. But what they do may be a blessing, it will not be what God wanted because He gave it to me. I have to do it.

4.  I have to come to a place where I recognize, when I look at me, I am able to see the person that God is allowing others to see when they look at me. And even in doing that, I must have no confidence in the flesh.

5.  My gifting has nothing to do with people. It has everything to do with God. There is a passage of Scripture that said your gift will make room for you.

Prov 18:16 A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. (KJV)

“Room” does not have to be a place in a church necessarily. More importantly it is a place in the flow of what God is doing.

6.  I remember several years ago I asked my pastor what does it mean to be “anointed” or to feel the “anointing”. I begin to sense what I believed was the presence of God.  I felt:
a.  Butterflies in my stomach
b.  The hair on the back of my neck stand up
c. Goose bumps on my arms
d.  A warm sensation all over my body
e.  A quickening and heaviness in the pit of my stomach.
These “signs” was the Lord making me aware of His presence. What I had to the come to know was, “The awareness of His presence” is more important than feeling the sensations. Coming to the place where I will not need the sensations but I will simply “know” that He is with me, in me, and speaking or singing through me is where I got to get to.

Genesis 28:15-16 I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” 16Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it.”

7.  As God continues to peel back all that is in me and fixes the damage, he will use me to unveil, expose, highlight etc. those things that are like Him or those things that are not like Him.

TIPS FOR WEEK ONE

1. Begin to function as one living in the Spirit. Respond to the urging of the Spirit.
2. When my mind is bombarded, go to the Spirit. Turn from the natural and refresh communication with the Lord, He will give me what I need.
3. Learn the best way to the Lord, it is by the Spirit.
4. Don’t be too busy — stay still as God speaks — monitor all activity. Do only what you truly believe God is telling you to do.

Training Begins

Preparation

The preparation and training of a prophet is perhaps one of the most difficult and arduous processes to go through. I did not realize that when I began, but I soon learned in order to be God’s prophet, I had to be emptied out to such a degree, that I was dead to myself.

If God is going to me to be His voice, He must be able to entrust me with His very words.  These are not things that God would take lightly. I knew that when things are misspoken or handled wrongly, people could get easily hurt or deceived.

PCQ’s Pam’s Clarifying Questions

Whenever there is something that you’re trying to learn about, usually you can find a section called FAQ’s (Frequently Asked Questions).

Well I’m also going to have section called PCQ’s (Pam’s clarifying questions.)

These are questions that come into my heart or mind.  Or, they have been there and I just never took the opportunity to ask as it deals with the prophetic.  I will update this list from time to time.

Q1: When God speaks through me will it be vague.  Meaning would anyone who’s hearing the prophesy apply what’s being said to them.
A. The Lord will reveal specifically.  As God uses me, the prophecy will not be vague.  What God will speak through me will be clear and specific, even if it is for a group.

Q2: How will I know or be sure that it is God?
A. I will know and see evidence of His intervention and desire.

Q3: Help me to understand sin?

Psalm 32:5 – Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
5 I acknowledged my sin to You, and my iniquity I did not hide. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord [continually unfolding the past till all is told]—then You [instantly] forgave me the guilt and iniquity of my sin. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

  1. Transgression
Transgression is a deliberate action that breaks and/or infringes upon a direct command. To choose to intentionally.
  • Samson intentionally broke his Nazirite vow by touching a dead lion (Numbers 6:1–5; Judges 14:8–9) and allowing his hair to be cut (Judges 16:17).
  • David was referring to this kind of sin when he wrote, “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered” (Psalm 32:1).
  • When we knowingly run a stop sign, tell a lie, or blatantly disregard an authority, we are transgressing.

2. Sin
Sin is an action that falls short of what God desires (Romans 3:23). If we don’t allow God to rule completely then sin is able to rule. Sin happens when we do:

  • Something against God or against a person (Exodus 10:16)
  • The opposite of what is right (Galatians 5:17)
  • Something that will have negative results (Proverbs 24:33–34).
  • The wrong thing when you know what is right (James 4:17).
  • Not do what you know is right (Numbers 15:27).

In order to further understand sin vs transgression, let’s look at it from a criminal perspective. In most true crimes there is an actus reus, the physical act, and a mens rea, or state of mind. These must occur at the same time for a crime to occur. We call this “concurrence.”

A sin lacks “mens rea”. There is no purposeful desire to disobey God. It is a point when the infraction happens while trying to accomplish something completely different.

In my effort to get to the meeting in time, I ran the red light.

Though it is wrong, the one acting did not plan to do it.

Iniquity – Iniquity happens when we do what we think is the right thing. Our actions are based on our own interpretation or our mindset. The problem is, it is wrong whether we think it is, want it to be, etc.

Proverbs 14:12 – Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
12 There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.

You can only commit an iniquity once, the second time it is either a transgression or it is a sin.

Starting Over

It is difficult to look back over your life, knowing what you know presently, and not feel as though you could be so much further along. One of the first thing that I had to come to accept is that there is no lack and no loss in God. It’s easy to say, if I had just known this 10 years ago. But every experience and every place where I found myself, God was molding, shaping and training. I must celebrate who God is called me to be. In this time of training I have to learn to move from the natural realm into the spirit realm. God is allowing me to see those areas in my life that need to be shaped.

Psalms 139: 24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

That is such an easy scripture to read. It even sounds like the right thing to do. But, when you take the time to look at every thought and idea. When you take the time or to examine your actions and what you should have done often you find that he might have done things differently. And you come to realize that the excuse that you give, “That’s just who I am” is not going to do.
