Galatians 6:7

February 18

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (KJV)

Are you excited about what you will reap?

Leadership often uses the concept of sowing and reaping as a prophecy of punishment. Often because you didn’t do what someone wanted you to do, or you didn’t act the way someone thought you should act. Especially if that someone was in a place of spiritual authority in your life. The thing that they would say to you is, “You know, you reap what you sow”. The wonderful thing about God is, yes, you reap what you sow. Have you ever stopped to think about what happens if you are sowing things that bring God glory? What if you are sowing happiness, joy, and peace? The fact of the matter is, you will reap that as well.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. (KJV)

A great lesson as you learn to fight this battle against the enemy is: all of what you do is a part of your instruction and your training; and there are benefits. Even if there are repercussions you may feel are unpleasant to you; the benefit is the wisdom you gained. Know this, if you sow peace; you reap joy!

Please agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response:

Father, I thank You for watching over all I do. You see me, guide me, and direct me. You give me recompense for what I do. Father God, I repent for the days You have to chasten me. Every time You do, I also thank You because of the work You are doing in my life. I am excited and proud because the times when I have to harvest distasteful and devastating fields are getting fewer and fewer! I am grateful You have taught me how to sow crops whose harvest is Your glory. You bless me and I want to bless You. I am growing and maturing. I can see myself in the place where I no longer live my life waiting for the shoe to fall, or walking on eggshells. I can see a life where I am not waiting to reap or to deal with negative repercussions. I thank You for giving me the freedom to live my life Your way. I know I may make mistakes from time to time. I will continually seek You, learn from my mistakes, and reap a harvest of wisdom and understanding. I no longer live my life in fear of retribution. Now I live my life knowing that You know what is in my heart and You will deal with me accordingly…
