1 John 4:4 My darling children, you have nothing to fear; do not doubt for a moment the legitimacy of your son ship! You originate in God and have already conquered the worldly religious system because of the unveiling of Christ in you! His living presence in you is far superior to the futile anti-Christ mindsets present in the world! (TMB)
Are you being tormented by fear?
Fear is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc. Fear exists whether the threat is real or imagined. It is one of the major devices the enemy uses in this war. He uses:
Satan wants your focus to be on your future fears rather than on your present blessings. When your focus is on the future and what may or may not happen, your worries and fears about what tomorrow may bring, etc. You are not living in the present and you miss all that God wants to teach you today.
Isaiah 41:10 ‘Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’ (AMP)
When you focus on things that have happened and what the outcome “may” be, you forget to praise God for the things He’s doing in that moment. The devil hates it when you praise God, especially in times of trouble. Why wouldn’t he do everything he can to keep your focus on fear and worry rather than on thanksgiving and praise?
Psalm 42:5 So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for you are my saving grace! (TPT)
Satan tricks you into believing that worrying gives you some control over your circumstances. The truth is, you are not and will never be in control. You may tell yourself you are, and sometimes it may feel as if you have control over your circumstances. However, that’s not the truth. You don’t even have control over your breath. God is the only One in control and the only One who will ever be.
Job 34:13-15 From the very beginning, God has been in control of all the world. 14 If God took back the breath that he breathed into us, 15 we humans would die and return to the soil. (CEV)
Salvation is not a feeling; it is a fact. IF you accepted Christ Jesus into your heart, God saved you. There may be times when you don’t do, think, and say the things you feel a “saved person” would. However, your salvation is not based on that. As you allow the Lord to transform you, your behavior will change.
John 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent. (AMPC)
When you don’t understand the finished work of salvation, you think it comes and goes, depending on what you do or what you do not do. God is not like human beings. He did not save you because of who you are. He saved you because of who He is. He saved you knowing what you did, what you are doing and what you will do. Salvation is forever because He said it is. There is nothing you can do to take God’s love away.
Romans 8:33-34 Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts you in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?] 34 Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us? (AMPC)
You have to KNOW, because you are a child of God; He is in you. His power is available to you, not because of anything you’ve done; it’s because of what Jesus did on the cross for you. Fear is a feeling, your salvation is not. And though the enemy tries to trick you with fear; God is greater.
Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me. (AMP)
The defense against fear is faith. Faith is what Jesus demonstrated to you and what He died for you to have. You win the victory because of your faith.
Please agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response:
Father, in the name of Jesus, I repent for allowing fear to stop me from moving forward. I thank You for showing me where the spirit of fear is rooted. Thank You for giving me power, love and a sound mind. Your perfect love gets rid of any fear I may have if I allow it to. I know I belong to You and there is nothing the enemy can threaten me with that is more powerful than Your love and I thank You. Help me show I know it, walk like I believe it, and speak the truth of it over my life…
