Psalms 73:26

May 14

Psalms 73:26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (KJV)

Whose strength are you walking in?

Because your life and all you experience each day is training for you, you may sometimes feel faint and almost unable to go on. What a refreshing thought to know that even if that happens, God is your strength.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV)

Now there is indeed a difference between knowing this and walking in it. The enemy wants to put you in a place where you throw in the towel. Don’t allow him to do it.

There is a scene in the movie “Facing the Giants”, called the Death Crawl. In the scene, Brock, the captain of the football team, had to carry a teammate on his back. He understood he would start in the 0-yard line and go to the 50-yard line. However, Coach Taylor wanted Brock to go as far as he could. Taylor put a blindfold on Brock. He did not want Brock to know where he was on the field. Taylor knew looking at the field, and at the distance, would have made it harder for Brock to push himself. Brock crawled and crawled. His legs were shaky. His arms were shaky. All along the way, Brock was being encouraged by the coach. Finally, Brock got to a place where he said he could go no further. He was going to give up. The coach told him to open his eyes. Brock was in the end zone. He had gone the entire length of the field! The Footnotes page has a link to that scene. Whether or not you watch the link, put these scriptures in your arsenal.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] (AMP)

Psalm 73:26 I admit how broken I am in body and spirit, but God is my strength, and He will be mine forever. (TVT)

2 Corinthians 12:9 But he answered me, “My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness.” So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me. (TPT)

Look at your life through spiritual eyes and allow the Lord to be your strength.

Please agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response:

Father, God, You are the strength of my life. I confess there are days when I feel weary. I am reminded of the words You have spoken to me so many times. “If I am weary, I’m not walking in You; I’m not trusting You and I’m trying to do it without You”. Even though I acknowledge Your instruction and repent, sometimes I find myself in a weary place again. Thank You for being right there with me. Thank You for encouraging me with every step, telling me I can make it, telling me have not gone as far as I can go, and I need to stop feeling sorry for myself. Help me keep my focus on You and I will see through Your eyes. Continue to give me revelation and I will understand what is happening from a spiritual standpoint and stop looking at things in the natural. When I look with Your eyes and not with mine; when I allow You to be my strength and guide me, I have many testimonies, I overcome, I am victorious, and I am set for the next task You have ordained for me. Thank You for being my strength and my rock. Thank You for carrying me when I felt I could not go on. Thank You for staying with me when You saw me trying to walk in my strength instead of trusting in You. Thank You for being my Lord and my Father
