Matthew 16:17

January 4

Matthew 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)

Are you available for revelation?

As you continue to seek the Lord, asking Him to show you your thoughts and govern your actions, you will continue to be more and more aware of the spiritual warfare you are part of. Because you are seeking Him, He will reveal things you didn’t see before. These things were always there. Now you will see them through renewed and transformed eyes.

Matthew 16:17 Simon, son of Jonah, your knowledge is a mark of blessing. For you didn’t learn this truth from your friends or from teachers or from sages you’ve met on the way. You learned it from My Father in heaven. (TVT)

You will know it is not “somebody” who showed it to you. God the Father showed you. Before, you were not willing or able to see. Now, your love of God and for God shows you. You have become one who is searching for Him with all of your heart.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (NKJV)

There is a reward for diligently seeking the Lord. You will find Him.

John 15:15 I do not call you servants any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you [My] friends, because I have revealed to you everything that I have heard from My Father. (AMP)

Please agree with me as I pray. Then ask the Lord what your prayer should be and wait for His response:

Father God, I repent for not diligently seeking You for more understanding. Thank You for giving me deeper revelation, despite who I am. You are endowing me with the ability to understand things I didn’t understand before. Continue to call me and draw me as I seek You. Continue to reveal Yourself and I will respond as You would. Thank You for trusting me with the truth…
