God did not direct you to purchase this devotional just to go through each day and have a good time understanding the Bible. Though I promise if you love Bible study and you want to understand the war you are in, you will have a good time. However, the reason you have this devotional is that your heavenly Father is preparing you. You will walk in clarity, like never before, and discern the sophisticated methods the devil uses to gain entrance into your life in order for you to be free. You need to know how to engage in the warfare you have actually been a part of since the day you were born. Being saved does not exempt you from the war. Neither does salvation alone give you the knowledge you need to be victorious in spiritual warfare. There are three scriptures you should keep in mind. And you start this journey.

Philippians 2:12b Work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ). Luke 14:28-31 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?  29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.  31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand? Eph. 6:11-12 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (KJV)
